First time visiting Oz Arts. Not a ton of parking in the lot, but no big deal parking alongside the large, not busy road. Loved the venue! Intimate shows, small space. Loved the seating and concession areas which showcased local artists' pieces and various seating areas. Saw "I Saw Goody Proctor With the Devil", which was an absolute five star show!

The venue was both expansive and aesthetically pleasing! I participated in an IIDA event with approximately 100 attendees, yet it didn't seem crowded due to its clever layout. I particularly enjoyed the outdoor space!

Love Oz Arts. They have a wide variety of art performances. It's always interesting and this is one of the few places in Nashville to watch live performance art. Can't recommend it enough

We were there for the 20th anniversary of local nonprofit moves and grooves. It was a beautiful locale, and a wonderful night.

Attended Festival of Ghouls to set up our photo booth for guests to take pics. The venue was perfect! Daniel was amazing to work with! Everyone was so welcoming and we loved being there. Check out their event calendar and go!

I didn’t know this even existed before this week! What a wonderfully getaway that made us feel that we were in New York experiencing this wonder event by Ronald K. Brown. We will be back.

Yelp
I was in Nashville the first time for just 48 hours. In my search for things to do, the Wooster Group happened to be in town for a few nights (how random! Their first excursion to the South--not counting TX). I knew I had to go but the tickets were sold out, there were clear instructions on the website about getting there earlier for standby, and it worked! Everyone was pleasant and things went smoothly, it's on the edge of town but this is nothing compared to my Chicago hometown where it takes twice as long just to go 4 miles away. They have a fun swervy ectoplasmic bar serving drinks in the back and art exhibits lining the halls. The performance space was in a big warehouse with bleachers, comfortable seats, not the best sightline but good enough. Finally the performance was INCREDIBLE, that's a whole separate review, but it far exceeded what I had heard about it. To known that this place can draw the likes of Wooster is testament to their importance to the American Arts scene.

Yelp
An amazing performance space. Super nice group of varied workers running the space. Beautiful sculptures outside to enjoy too. Great space to hold Weddings, Parties, or any type of banquet or convention.

Yelp
One of the best hidden gems/venues in Nashville that everyone needs to go to. There are so many types of events they put on that are mind blowing and I have attended several private events, non-profit events, and Pandora live events there as well. It's a versatile space. Go to their website and see what the have for the upcoming season. If you get invited to Oz, don't think twice. Just accept! You'll have an incredible time. I can't wait to head to Split Flow and Holistic Strata with Hiroaki Umeda in September!

Yelp
Really fabulous space to see a performance. I saw a REPaloud reading here on a weekend and a friend told me that I should come back during regular business hours because they have a garden and art exhibits. I hope to have a lot more excuses to check out OZ in the future.

Yelp
Absolutely wonderful rental space for weddings, meetings or any other celebrations. The outdoors areas are amazingly beautiful. Its an amazing place that I really loved in an abandoned industrial area no less.

Yelp
I love, love, LOVE Oz Arts! I have recently attended my third event organized by Oz and have been yet again blown away by the physical space, the inventive programming and the kind staff. The thing that amazes me about Oz is its vision in attracting and assembling a variety of impressive performance art. Take, for example, the Kid Koala satellite DJ experience. I got to enjoy amazing music, learn a bit about the incredible art of DJ- ing and try my hand at it too!! The Family Day couldn't have been more different, and we loved it! Families with kids of all ages descending into the gorgeous grounds at Oz to enjoy the indoor and outdoor art installation while participating in a host of cool activities: make your own jump rope, paint watercolor fish, play with stomp rockets, dance to a band, marvel at a bubble artist and feast on yummy food from local food trucks! Three cheers to Oz for such visionary programs and thoughtful execution! I am so excited for the season ahead!!

Yelp
I have been to OZ twice - once for a reception and once for a show. It is a well-thought-out facility designed so that it has many options for use. The reception was in warm weather so it could be held outside. We could also wander around and see the art displayed in several places as well as the cigar exhibit and the meerschaum pipe collection. For the show, bleachers were set up and I panicked a bit as I thought they were the usual bleachers you see at basketball games with narrow seats and no backs. But these were class bleachers - comfortable and with good back support for those of us who need it. The bleachers can be moved to fit any format needed. The place is clean and the restrooms are excellent. We had a glass of wine at the bar and I will say that for $10 (albeit a large serving) the quality of the Pinot Grigio was lacking. I noticed that a hard liquor drink was only $9 so I'd be tempted to have a bourbon and water next time. Parking is lacking there, but for the show there was valet parking and enough staff to keep it moving quickly when everybody started to leave. Since it rained most people used valet parking. For the reception, there was no valet parking, but the crowd was smaller and so we found a place to park. As an aside, and to show you how the world has changed, at the meerschaum display I overheard a grandmother explaining to an eight-or-nine-year-old girl what a pipe was and how they are used as a nicotine delivery system. "Do you put a cigarette in them?", the young lady asked. Grandma patiently explained the process, though I could have told her how we boys found cigarette butts, stripped out the tobacco, and smoked it in our corncob pipes! But that was many years ago. Today I recommend going to OZ when you see a show or exhibit that interests you. I think you'll like it.

Yelp
Such a cool venue! I came here for a concert and had absolutely no idea that this place existed. The venue itself is nice. It's open and spacious and thought I was there for a concert, I could totally see it being a cool place for a wedding. The staff was friendly and attentive and the venue itself was well kept up. This place is kind of in the middle of nowhere. We passed by an old prison on our way and it's located off briley parkway and i40. There is street parking available, and really nothing else around the area.

Yelp
As we headed here for my company holiday party last week, we both wondered where in the world the decision makers in my office were taking us as it seemed off the beaten path. When we got there though, it all made sense, and turned out to be our best company holiday party to date! This venue is incredible! It's described online as a place for art, but it functioned wonderfully for our party needs. It's completely elegant and beautiful, with the different spaces well thought out. There's a great patio area where we found heat lamps and a large fire pit for the crisp winter weather. The separate spaces accommodated everyone well, as there was room for a buffet of appetizers and deserts, a separate space for a full bar, and multiple gathering rooms for socializing. If you're looking for a venue for any occasion, definitely check this new gem out!

Yelp
What a genius venue. OZ is the brainchild of the Ozgener family and can be found in the far off reaches of West Nashville. It used to be a cigar factory at some point in its history. Now, it boasts some spectacular open space that allows you the creativity to do whatever you want with it. Dedicated to being an "artist's venue," OZ is just one of those places you have to see to understand. The only negative to OZ is that it is in the middle of NOWHERE, which makes enjoying sips a little difficult.

Yelp
Disclaimer - I've only been to this venue once, yesterday, for Porter Flea. While the venue is spacious, it didn't accommodate all of the artists so it was a tad annoying to go back and forth between the inside and outside to shop around. It's located in the middle of nowhere so it was nice to get outside of the hustle and bustle of downtown Nashville buuuuut... The parking situation was absolutely atrocious. I'm not sure if the OZ staff or Porter Flea staff is to blame for this but I felt bad for those who were unable to get into the market because of the disorganization when it came to parking. Because of how miserable my experience was with parking/lines, I doubt I will go out of my way to come here again.

Yelp
I love this place - a gorgeous addition to Nashville. Tim Robbins (SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, DEAD MAN WALKING) came and did his "Midsummer Night's Dream" here this week, hanging out and talking to the audience. An awesome production that he directed (Asst Dir Cynthia Ettinger)band brought out to Nashville as part of their world tour. This place OZ is amazing!

Yelp
What a random but excellent venue! Far away from downtown Nashville, OZ exists near the private airport and driver's license facility. They've got valet (um, don't forget to leave your prius keys in the car or you'll block the entire line and they'll call you out before the play you're seeing), they've got art, they've got a gorgeous bar and patio, and a great black-box style entertainment space. I came here to see a play that a friend of a friend was acting in, but it was a really great show and now that I know the sort of thing this venue attracts I'll have my eye out for other great events here in the future!

Yelp
First off the staff is fantastic! I had ordered tickets for the Friday show of Kid Koala's Nufonia Must Fall, but found out on Tuesday I needed to change my tickets. I sent an email and within a few hours my tickets had been transferred to the Saturday show, no hassle, no questions. The venue was a little cramped for this event, but it was a sold out show. The building is nice and has a good patio area, and the art displays are very interesting. The sound was great and there wasn't a bad seat in the room. The location is a little out of the way, but the drive wasn't bad even for two tourists. They do have a cash bar, so consider taking a taxi or Lyft if you want to abide. Would go back for another show or exhibit and recommend checking the place out.

Yelp
Oz is a beautiful place. I am so happy to have had the opportunity to visit. I'd definitely like to return and take a full tour of the facility or just attend another event. Thanks Oz for being such a gracious and inviting host. Kudos to you and your staff. Much continued success.

Yelp
OZ made our wedding. The venue itself is beautiful and unique, and laden with fantastic art. The staff, especially Sara and Katherine, were a step ahead of our needs and concerns the whole way, which left us with little to stress about the week of the wedding. We could not have been happier- book OZ before it ceases being a secret!

Mark M.

Yelp
What a great venue! Sara and her staff went above and beyond to ensure the event came off without a hitch. I wouldn't hesitate to work with them again!
