Australian-inspired specialty coffee and light bites from a local couple, with a mobile cart that pops up at community events. Friendly, bright, and quality-focused—great for a morning start between downtown galleries and Calder stops.

The blueberry lemon cold brew I was honestly skeptical of but it was one of the best drinks I have had. Perfect mix of flavors, sweetness, and coffee level. The avocado toast was real good. It came out on a thick slice of fresh sour dough and it was delicious. It was a little pricy but it’s worth it.

I got the Avo Smash and sausage roll And black coffee. Avo smash: 10/10 thick layer of avocado Great flavor Sausage roll: also great for what is. Dinning room area: very cozy, but the building is small, so it's understandable Seems very trendy, college kid vibes. However, there was a variety of ages there. Would visit again

Very friendly service, super cute atmosphere, and tasty, feel-good breakfast bites. Several tables and an adjoined juice bar with healthy juices great for an on-the-go grab. We loved our drinks and our breakfasts. Also free bottled waters for the table. Nice single restroom kept very clean behind the counter.

Google
An absolutely out of this country experience. A little taste of down under in old town Beaumont. Highly recommend the avocado sour dough toast. The avocado had a little kick and you could taste the freshness of the toast. My honey latte was the perfect combination of sweet and bitter. The atmosphere was new but still old town comfortable.

Today began my road trip to Louisiana for chef John Folse’s annual culinary event in Baton Rouge. As I was nearing Beaumont, I typed in “specialty coffee shops in Beaumont” and was directed to the Oz Café on Calder. And what a stroke of luck. The owners have a love affair with all things, Australian and set out to feature Australian themed beverages foods. I had a Lamington (possibly the best one I have had aside from the ones that I made myself one time). And so, instead of an Americano, I had an Australian style long black that was excellent. Coffee roaster is Austin based and you can see from the popularity of this place that it should be on your list for any trips you’re taking to Beaumont. Eat your heart out Blue Lane. Not even close.

A disappointing brew We recently visited OZ Cafe, drawn in by the glowing reviews, and I have to say, it really didn't live up to the hype. Let's start with the coffee itself. For a place with "OZ" in the name, hinting at Australia's renowned coffee culture, the brew was unfortunately pretty mediocre. It lacked the depth and quality I've come to expect, falling short of anything truly memorable. Then there was the issue with the kids' order. We simply asked for a plain Nutella toast for them, without any extras. Not only did they manage to forget one of them initially, but we were then rather astonished to be charged a whopping $11 for a single piece of toast. That felt quite steep for what it was. Finally, a point that really stood out, and not in a good way, was the use of paper dishes for everything. In this day and age, with so much emphasis on sustainability, it felt a bit jarring and certainly not very environmentally friendly. Overall, while the reviews might paint a different picture, our experience at OZ Cafe left us feeling a bit underwhelmed and, dare I say, perhaps a little taken advantage of. It's a shame, as we were hoping for a great coffee experience.

Google
The service was top notch and really made the experience. I asked for recommendations and got the Carmel bar which was delicious. Coffee was really great too. Highly recommend.

Yelp
First time here, mid-afternoon for coffee & a snack. Drinks all pretty good, really good blueberry muffin. All 4 tables occupied - 3 with "laptop squatters" - so we sat at the bar along the front window facing the street view. More seating would be great; all-in-all a pleasant place.

Yelp
A place worth trying. It's locally owned Australian themed cafe in downtown Beaumont, but there's limited parking. They used their space well, given the size of the cafe. I ordered off the summer menu as well as a mocha latte. The drinks came out pretty quick and the barista was tentative. The drinks itself were okay. The coffee was strong, but the flavors were muted. It is a cozier feel for more social get together, but may be loud for those who are studying. Overall I'd give this play a try!

Yelp
Husband got the Batch Brew and I got the Sausage Roll. He said the coffee was great and I LOVED the Sausage Roll. The roll is a must try. I thought it was gonna be like a kolache but it's entirely different. It surprised me in a good way. The cafe gives a cozy feel and the staff are great! Would come back for sure!

Yelp
Holee smoke, where do I begin? This is such a cute little place that I almost didn't want to leave. I love the Australian theme - it doesn't feel contrived or cheesy, rather it feels very genuine. You wouldn't expect to find a real cultural experience in a local coffee shop but this was really special. They actually have vegemite on the menu. Vegemite is something that I have heard a lot about but have never had opportunity to try. Everyone has told me "you either love it or hate it". I didn't want to invest in a plate only to find it sucks, so I asked the staff if I could have a little taste. They looked at me a little funny, but they gave me a teeny weeny bit on a spoon and warned me I would "love it or hate it" lol. A teeny bit is all it takes. It is absolutely impossible to describe - let's just say I didn't hate it so I guess I must love it! I went in with my heart set on the Avocado Smash so, even though the Vegemite Experiment was a success, I got the Avo Smash anyway. Sheer perfection. Don't change a thing. I had to make myself eat slowly and not gobble the whole thing down. I got a hot Chai latte with it and that was outstanding as well. Can't praise this place enough. The staff were great. The space is small but was cozy and spotlessly clean. The food is unique and seems authentic. I can't wait to go back and try the vegemite!

Loved Oz! Headed back asap! The honey latte is the BEST! Excellent coffee! Barista was amazing. Staff is hospitable! Tiny, cozy coffee room with great coffee and pastries!

Yelp
Wow! I'm so glad I was sitting down when I took the first bite of my Avo Smash. I couldn't stop eating and was so sad when it was all gone. Don't skip out on the optional balsamic glaze that can be drizzled on top! I also enjoyed their honey latte. This outstanding drink was suggested to me by a member of their very friendly and personable staff. Very happy I took her suggestion! I enjoyed everything To Go and was very pleased at how travel friendly everything was packed. Cannot wait to come back!!

Yelp
Everything was amazing from the coffee to the service. The baristas were friendly and helpful and made me two beautifully crafted drinks. I was so pleasantly surprised to find this place. Beaumont isn't exactly known for its craft coffee scene. But this place is top-notch! The next time I am in Beaumont, I will be sure to come back to Oz

Yelp
I love Oz, as a girl coming from San Francisco and then Houston, I was really needing a great coffee shop. Oz is it. My only qualm is that they aren't open on the weekends, selfishly I would love for them to be open Saturdays so my husband and I could have our coffee Saturdays there

Yelp
They have a comforting environment, friendly staff, and the food is great. It is a small shop though.

Yelp
I first had the coffee at the Farmers Market. I feel in love with the Honey Latte. It is amazing! I'm so glad they opened a store.

Yelp
I really enjoy this cafe. Their coffee is smooth and great it is a bit on the expensive side but worth it. I like that the flavor additives that they use are different than other shops. They foods are good. Staff is very nice. This is my treat yo self stop when I am out of work. I do wish they were open on the weekend so I could go by with out skipping work.

Yelp
I'm usually and iced latte gal, but I ordered the honey latte and was converted to hot lattes only. It had the creamiest crema and the most beautiful latte art that I've never seen in our area. The avo mash was to die for! This will be my family's treat spot from now on. Laid back environment, fast service, and quality ingredients!

Yelp
Coffee is excellent, which is incredibly important for a coffee spot and yet, some places haven't figured that out yet. The food I've tried is also very good. Friendly service and vibes.

Yelp
The coffee shop itself was so cute and a great atmosphere. The coffee was amazing! I got the honey latte, definitely recommend! Oz Cafe is definitely a must if you are in the area!
