"Öz Erciyes is a casual Turkish spot on Tottenham’s High Road, where locals wander in with their orders memorised and industrial portions of charcoal are added to the huge grill at regular intervals. Usually, one of the owner’s sons is sat behind it, dishing out hefty chunks of lamb and tip-top banter. The Turkish classics have a similar family feel with super-sized, pleasantly fragrant lahmacun destined for sharing, decent humous loaded into bowls, and extra cacik passed over the counter to waiting hands. But the best things here all come from that grill—charred cubes of lamb and the succulent chicken shish.
