UK-Born Wagamama Chooses Clarendon for Its Long-Awaited Area Debut - Eater DC

"Oz was an Australian-themed restaurant from D.C. personalities Ashley Darby and Michael Darby. It occupied the prime Clarendon corner before Wagamama and was known for its unique offerings like emu and kangaroo sliders. The restaurant closed in 2019 after a four-year run." - Tierney Plumb

12 Last-Minute Mother’s Day Ideas, Mapped - Eater DC

"One of the best deals in town is this brunch option for two for just $60. Along with an unlimited number of small Aussie-themed plates, there’s penny mimosas and $2 bloody marys (in Virginia, restaurants legally can’t be “bottomless”)." - Tierney Plumb

I probably won't go back here. I had the unlimited small plates for $36. There were only about 4 small plates that were good to me (hush puppies, chicken parm, lamb chops, and the skinnies). I tried about 10 different small plates and most were bland. The waiter seemed overwhelmed. He was nice but kept forgetting things and our tickets had to be revised twice. NOTE: In order for you to get unlimited small plates your entire table has to get that as well.

Came here for happy hour. The food is very tasty, staff are super friendly, and its such a lovely atmosphere. I had the emu skewer (my fav), the kangaroo, Camel, and Venison slider. I also had the crab cake over crab shells. the crab cakes were good, however, the shell crabs were a bit on the bland side. I think the shell crab could use a bit more seasoning. Oh! I forgot to mention that the wait time from when an order is placed to when the food is served is super fast (I literally waited less than 10minutes after placing my order for my food to arrive)Overall, I had a great time and I will highly reccomend this spot.

Staff was friendly. Great atmosphere for a date or chill girls outing. The biscuits they start you with were absolutely amazing- savory but drizzled with something sweet (honey?). They had just changed the menu so I had the opportunity to try a few new things. They offer a variety of small plates, a few large plates and “exotics”. From the exotics menu I tried the kangaroo kabob. Kangaroo is very chewy. From the small plates menu I order the crab cake and truffle Mac and cheese. The truffle Mac was super disappointing. It was missing something, very bland. The crab cake was good and the kale and cranberries it came with was surprisingly tasty. For $39 you can get unlimited small plates, which is probably worth it if you’re hungry. If the Mac and cheese were better I’d give it 5 Stars!

Overall food and service was good. Bread was good but the butter was cold so spreading any without destroying the bread was impossible. I had the top sirloin which was delicious, it was cooked correctly, the pommes darphin was perfect for it and just enough horseradish on the steak for flavor. My wife had the Scallop Ceviche and a Salad. The Ceviche was good but the sauce was too strong and the flavor of the scallops was lost in it. She loved the Radicchio salad though. Last but not least we tried the Lamington and Grapesickle for dessert. The Lamington was different but not amazing but my wife loved the Grapesickle sour grapes with the yogurt and flavors were great and she threatened to lick the plate. They have some exotic options like lizard, kangaroo and such but we're not that adventurous. I'm one of those who doesn't like eggs or mushrooms and almost every dish had one of those things in it so my options were really limited but what I did have was really good.

My group got the all-you-can-eat brunch option. We were satisfied with the options and taste of the food. Is it a lot of small portions but that works because you get to sample some of everything without getting too full of one thing. I would go back. Also mimosas were included with the brunch.

I liked this place! There were a lot of options on the food menu and the drink menu. Our waiter was super helpful and suggested things for us to try and also gave us a few of the vegamite biscuits on the house! Over all I really liked the place! Not a favorite but I would definitely recommend to try!

I love this venue! Amzaing customer service and the brunch menu is great!! Definetly not expensive and the food was yummy. For brunch I recommend the doughnuts and chicken. It's a great twist to your traditional chicken and waffles.

A friend and I went there because we were fans of RHOP but we were also curious about the Australian cuisine that they offered. We went online and looked at the menu and was like yup we are going there. The “bottomless” brunch caught our attention. I love the fact that you can order as many petite plates as you like. My favorite dishes were the brekkie taco and the apple fritter. Also the the 10 cent bottles of champagne was a WIN! We drank 4 bottles. It was cheap champagne but the orange juice they have is amazing. Those mimosas were great lol. Our waiter was amazing too. We are definitely going back.
