The 38 Best Restaurants in Tokyo, Japan | Eater

"Tori paitan (creamy chicken broth for ramen) is rich and comforting, like grandma’s chicken soup. The broth clings to the thin straight noodles as one slurps. At Kagari, seasonal and colorful vegetables such as watermelon radish, snap peas, and kabocha squash top the dish and rotate throughout the year. Use the side dish of grated ginger and fried garlic, along with a bottle of vinegar from the counter, to brighten up and adjust the umami-rich soup to your liking. Know before you go: The main Ginza shop is on a quiet pedestrian back street, but the sister shop at the Roppongi Hills complex isn’t as crowded." - Yukari Sakamoto

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A True Taste of Japan – Authentic, Heartwarming, and Unforgettable This restaurant is a hidden gem that delivers not only incredible ramen but also a sense of tradition and warmth that’s rare to find. Family-run and now proudly operated by the third generation, you can truly taste the passion and dedication in every dish. The ramen was outstanding – rich, flavorful broth, perfectly cooked noodles, and toppings that were clearly prepared with care. You can tell this recipe has been refined over decades. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, just like being invited into a Japanese home. The staff was kind, attentive, and genuinely proud of their heritage. Whether you’re a local or a traveler, this place is a must-visit for anyone who wants a real, heartfelt Japanese dining experience. Can’t wait to return!

Incredible place! Really amazing food, I had the premium roasted black wagyu ramen, the meat melted in my mouth! Broth was flavoursum and light! There is a table charge ¥550 per person and a minimum spend of ¥3000 spend. Should that put you off. Complementary snacks were given on sit down also.

As avid ramen lovers, Ozora had been on our radar for a while before we visited. Upon entering it immediately became clear how much attention to detail the owner and staff have paid to their restaurant. The soothing jazz, stylish interior, and warm welcome all delighted us. Naturally the star of the evening was a set of ramen dishes, one truffle with butter, the other Spanish pork. Both were superb, and it would be silly trying to pick a favourite. The delicate taste clearly signalled the quality of all the ingredients. We paired our dinner with a small bottle of sparkling wine, which I must say was the right decision. Ozora is not the kind of ramen place to go often, but if you never go, you will miss out, and you shall have to live with that regret for the rest of your life. Be wise, dine here, and forego such risks.

This ramen spot was awesome without trying too hard—it’s just a comfortable place to enjoy a truly delicious meal. Not to mention a classic highball. It isn’t exactly a hidden hole-in-the-wall, but it still feels like a great find. The flavors, atmosphere, and overall vibe made me wish I could have gone back more than once.

Top notch place! Atmosphere was relaxed and the perfect place to enjoy a phenomenal bowl of ramen. The food matched the ambiance and was simply fantastic. Topped off dinner with an award winning berry pie and a glass of wine. Couldn’t possibly ask for a better experience!

What an incredible find. The ramen was so good I ended up having two bowls (the pork and the wagyu). The chef came out to thank me for eating so much and to say hello. You can tell how much he cares about the food and his guests. Absolutely delightful experience. The waitress was kind and thoughtful. Comfy chairs at the bar. Great design. Great music. The type of place that brings magic to Tokyo.

Forced: ¥500 seating + ¥900 drink + tax charges. Tourist trap. 🪤 Not for locals. Only saw tourists show up. Becomes >¥3,000 for a small ramen 🍜 but tasty. I ate a large pizza 🍕 somewhere else after as hungry. 😋 Place is hard to find & not open often & sometimes closed when it is supposed to be open.

Worth making a destination. Great ramen (we had one pork ramen with clear broth, a curry ramen w dandan noodles, and a cilantro ramen w dandan noodles). All were exceptional. Ambiance is nice and the service is great. Glad we came in!
