While staying in Tokyo, I had a ramen urge (as one does) and found this wonderful place on Google. I had the basic--salt ramen, chicken oil, yuzu (pictured). It was delicious: flavorful and delicate, not too salty, filling but never heavy. I'm already planning to return and looking forward to trying the other presentations.
The husband and wife owners, and the counterman, are also delightful and it was a pleasure chatting with them in Japanese and English. And the decor is lovely--retro flourishes like the hanging lamps; a vending machine (now a sliding door concealing a secret room for group dining); numerous autographs of various famous personages who've visited, all from the first-generation restaurant run buy the owner's grandmother, the same grandmother who taught him his culinary arts.
Obviously there's lots of great ramen in Tokyo, but in my experience this is among the best. If you find yourself near Azabu Juban (or even if you're far), you'll be glad you tried it.
