Where to Find Stand-Up Oyster Bars in New Orleans | Eater New Orleans
"I was struck by Sal Sunseri’s pride—he’s a vice president at P&J Oyster Company, the oldest oyster company in America—whose family-owned processing plant dates back to 1876 in the French Quarter; Sunseri says eating oysters in New Orleans is nostalgic, that standing to watch talented shuckers create their artwork is uniquely New Orleans, and he even shucks at his own stalls every week to taste the flavors he’s sending out into the retail world." - Beth D’Addono
Great experience! Most delicious oysters I had in Louisiana. Hints of garlic and truffle. Great friendly service! Go get them! You will love them!

Very fresh oysters at bulk pricing; I appreciated the packing and the ice.

Wandered in after an illicit fishing morning in Armstrong Park in September.
Bought a pint of the freshest, plumpest, tastiest oysters we ever ate. Looking forward to returning 03/25/24. Have a pint waiting for us please!

Went there at the crack of dawn and they were bagging and shucking. Everyone looked at me like wth? Went into the offices and those guys were great. Got half a sack and they iced them down for me. Took them back and had oysters on the half shell as well as chargrilled oysters. The best place to get a good size quantity in Nola. You can't just go in and get 2 dozen though. Usually a whole or half sack! Cheers!

We ordered a bag for Mardi Gras, they had just been harvested the day before. They had a tag with location of harvest and date. Very fresh! Going back for more for Quarter Fest!

Got sick from here. Don't bother visiting. The people aren't too friendly either, guess they've never heard of southern charm.
