"A Clapton spot noted for foregrounding natural wine and the culture around it; it also gained a small reputation for its distinctive kitchen setup, including well-known induction hobs that visiting chefs have used in short residencies." - Adam Coghlan

"A dish of squid, courgette, peas, olive oil, and lemon zest at P. Franco in the early summer was among my most memorable meals of the year." - Eater Staff

"A wine bar-restaurant that manages to reinvent itself every few months while remaining reliably pleasurable and steady — a go-to spot for consistently enjoyable wine and food experiences." - Adam Coghlan

"From 27 September, a River Café and Rochelle Canteen alumnus will begin a residency at this Eater Restaurant of the Year venue, presenting menus focused on soups, stews and puddings — a notable departure from the minimalist neo-fine-dining approach of some previous occupants; the venue’s existing artwork by Tegan Hendel is expected to remain unchanged." - James Hansen

"An acclaimed Clapton wine bar crowned Eater London’s restaurant of the year, this venue runs a chef-in-residence program and has become a notable platform for up-and-coming cooks. Anna Tobias — whose mentors include Jeremy Lee, Margot Henderson and Ruth Rogers — will become the sixth resident head chef, taking over the induction hobs from 27 September for at least a six-month stint through spring 2019. She will cook dinners 6pm–10pm on Thursday to Saturday and 2pm–9pm on Sundays. Tobias plans to serve simple, generous European food with nods to traditional and under-appreciated dishes, prioritising excellent, thoughtfully sourced produce and doing as little to it as possible; early menus are expected to feature soups, stews and puddings. The venue is also known for its strong belief in the wines it pours and for thoughtful, attentive service, which has helped previous occupants showcase their cooking." - Adam Coghlan
