"Pabla Indian Cuisine shares a Renton stripmall with a dentist's office, dry cleaners, and a Fred Meyer. Which means you could technically get your errands done and have some exceptional Indian food, all in one trip. This kosher and vegetarian restaurant was once known for its extensive lunch buffet, and now is a takeout-only spot. But that doesn't mean the quality has changed. No meal here is complete without their spicy eggplant bhartha and saag aloo scooped up with onion-stuffed kulcha. There’s also a small market with ready-made freezer versions of their popular dishes if you want to stock up on dal channa before the next half-inch snow warning comes along. We went to an Indian restaurant somewhere, but it was crowded so we had to find somewhere else on Sat around 7 pm. And I came here for the first time in Renton shopping mall. I parked my car in front of the store, but it didn't look very good, but it was completely different when I entered the store. The store people were kind and polite to guide us to the table. The man who served the table was very good service. We asked him for a recommended menu and chose Navratan Korma and Paneer Tikka Masala. Added Nan, too. The taste was very good. We liked it. It was easy to eat and mild spices. We enjoyed our meal and had a lively conversation. We want to try something else next time. And I want to buy spices and so on at the grocery in the store.

Google
Wow! Such an authentic and delicious vegetarian Indian dining experience! We loved how the soft naan was cooked just right and paneer integrated so well in the naan as well as paneer tikka masala. Everything was very fresh and flavorful. Service was attentive, and prices were very reasonable. We can't wait to go back!

Google
Delicious, authentic Indian food. We had the saag paneer and chana daal and it was amazing. They also offer spice levels similar to what you get in India which is great

Google
We dined in here for lunch and the food tasted good. We were not happy with the grocery experience. They have an adjoining room with grocery items. Most of the items we picked were expired or were nearing expiry in a couple days. There were many items like that which makes me uneasy to shop/dine there.

Google
Their food is so good and so fresh. The service is also good. They also have a retail store and authentic Indian bakery. After returning home from Kolkata, I told a friend how much I loved the bakeries there and wished we had something like that here. He let me know about Pabla. It did not disappoint!!

shivani agarwal

Google
Ordered vegetable pakoras - they were very good Pabla special Cheese chilly - It was good but salt was a bit more. Garlic naan- fresh and flavorful. Masala tea- I did not like this at all, very watery All in all a good vegetarian place to grab food when you are craving for indian. Would definitely try more.

Google
We came to this place based on the recommendation from one of my friends but found the food to be okay. We heard great things about this place and came from Kirkland to try their buffet but were a bit disappointed. The food was decent but not great. I have had better buffets in Seattle area. I want to give 3.5 stars (but no option for that) so going for 3 instead of 4 stars.

Google
Although I ordered vegan, vegetable sabji, the taste wasn't good at all.. it's more of carrots dipped in tomato soup. And I ordered chana samosa chat without onions but they got me with onions and didn't inform me. Tandoori roti was good.

Yelp
My favorite vegetarian, vegan and gluten free Indian restaurant here. People who come here for the first time may not be able to tell whether it is a restaurant or a grocery store. At night, it seems difficult to enter from the outside, but when you enter the store, the left side is a restaurant and the right side is a grocery. My husband and I sometimes buy frozen Indian food for takeout or try Indian desserts. It's a very reasonable. We try to order different things every time. We like Pabla Vegetarian Specialties meal. Served with complementary basmati rice but I always added nan too. Their nans are good. This time we ordered #42 Navratan Korma, #46 Aloo Gabhi, #51 Daal Maharani. Each dish had different spices, so the three of us could enjoy the taste. I will try other food again next time.

Yelp
We went for Saturday dinner here , food was not great and service was very slow and it looked like they were all confused even tho they were not at full capacity. Ambiance is overly decorated not pleasing to eyes. We ordered shahi panner , dal makhani, kofta. Second order when we did mushroom mutter and after few mins I asked if I can cancel mushroom mutter and order kofta itself she said no it's now cooked. And when order came it was same first round kofta with different gravy . Just in like 30 mins they changed the entire gravy and taste of kofta. They gave lachha paratha first and gravy came after 10 mins by the time paratha was already cold. Not recommended at all

Yelp
This may be the best Indian food in Renton area, likely top 3 in WA for me after Taste of India. I don't usually eat at vegetarian places, but their food is delicious and many dishes use paneer instead of meat. Try the special biryani, shahi korma, saag paneer, samosas etc and all that i've tried has been excellent. Chilli cheese was very good, garlic naan is always excellent. Also, rice is included with these entrees, some restaurants don't which is annoying because it doesn't cost much to include. I often get takeout but it's a nice spot to dine in as well, and there's also a deli and a variety of desserts to sample. Go check them out!

Yelp
We went to Pabla Indian Cuisine on Saturday night as a party of 3 at 6:00 PM. We were seated immediately, and ordered the following: Samosa Chat (#9) - this was so good! The yogurt gave the samosas a nice tang. We had to not lick the sauce off the plate. Channa Tikki (#14) - this went well with the samosa chat. The texture of the channa tiki was perfect-the potato was both crispy and chewy, and the garbanzos were bursting with flavor. Aloo Kulcha (#21) - this was good on its own, or dipped in sauces. This flatbread had potatoes inside without it being bulky. It was savory and wonderful. Kabli Channa (#50) - we are partial to garbanzo beans. We didn't like this dish as much as the Channa Tikki, but it complimented it very well, as well as the basmati rice. Paneer Tikka Masala (#60) - the sauce in this dish was creamy and satisfying. We wanted more! We ordered and shared our food family style, and left wanting more. The ambiance in Pabla Indian Cuisine is relaxing-it was quiet on the day we went, and we enjoyed our food. We also enjoyed their shop after dinner and got some baklava and besan to go for a sweet treat. Their food is flavorful and good quality. We didn't end up missing or needing meat to make our meal wonderful. We can't return soon enough.

Yelp
This is one of my all-time favorite restaurants. It's kosher, dairy, and vegetarian, packed with flavor. Even though prices have gone up, it's still really affordable given the generous portions and kosher status. The northern Indian Punjabi food is the best I've had! Sharing a variety of dishes with friends is a highlight. Service is good, and the ambiance is great with lofi Indian music playing in the background.

Cami S.

Yelp
Haven't had Indian food in years and finally was able to get kosher indian here! Really enjoyed it!! Note-we ordered mild/medium and it was a bit spicy, but still liked it.

Erik J.

Yelp
One of the best Indian restaurants in the area and I have tried many. Service is also great and very friendly people. Been going here for almost 15 years and they have stayed consistent.

Samakshi K.

Yelp
Seattle area longtime indian vegetarian restaurant has made its name for quality food and sweets. Would recommend anyone to check it out

Manmir A.

Yelp
Held a event here for a large party. Location is not the best but inside was acceptable. Food was good and had no problems with the service.

Tejal B.

Yelp
Came in here to have lunch just to be told that they only do take out. Its an Indian grocery store cum restaurant plus dry snacks and sweets on display i.e. Indian bakery. The place is in a big complex with ample of parking space available. In one of their Refrigerator all types of Indian curries were kept pre made. We had their:- Dry Samosa- It was ok ok. Milk cake- An Indian dessert made with milk and milk solids. It was good. Overall, wont come here again, have had goods better from this place.

Paris S.

Yelp
I wish they would bring back the pre-covid vegetarian buffet. It is a family favorite and was always so busy! We truly miss it. we sometimes go to the grocery store now and buy sweets.

Marc K.

Yelp
Food is great! We use take-out at least once-a-week! Owners are the best! Eating in is relaxing, and service is great!

Tayler T.

Yelp
Excellent food. Excellent service. Mushroom rice and vegetable curry is delicious! Love this place!

Judah F.

Yelp
It's a great restaurant, I've eaten at it for years and I recall going there every birthday. Their dessert selection is varied and unmatched (they are so good).

Akhila P.

Yelp
We are visiting Seattle and had to pick up few food items on our way to Leavenworth and was in a hurry that I didn't check the expiration dates. My bad!! I am however glad that I checked before opening them.

Anahi S.

Yelp
Pabla's food is top-tier. It's one of our favorite restaurants in the area! 10/10 would recommend. Great taste and great service! Go get you some.

Matt K.

Yelp
Ordered takeout- Timing: Pretty fast to make the food, less than a half hour. Taste: Edible. Not a favorite and wouldn't go back specifically for. Chaat Saag- Tasted bland. Paneer Tikka Masala- Lacked the creaminess, tasted more acidic and one note that expected. Bell peppers were undercooked. Gulab Jamin- Really really sweet, and only tastes of sugar. The texture seemed off as well. Definitely have more balanced ones.

Huong L.

Yelp
This place has been on radar for a while so I decided to finally give it a try. The place is located in the same area as feast buffet and Fred Meyer so parking was easy. There is also a grocery store in the restaurant so if you want to get goodies to go you can. We were craving for bread so we got an order of garlic naan bread and aloo kulcha which was naan stuffed with potatoes and dried mango. The texture of both was very good: fluffy and light and warm. I was a little disappointed with the aloo kulcha though because the dried mango was invisible, I couldn't see it or taste it, so it was kind of bland for me, almost like a plain naan. We also order the aloo ghobi which was a potato and cauliflower dish in herbs and spices. It was good but a little bland for me as well. It also came with a side of rice which was tasty. Service was good as they were very nice. I thought the price was a little high though, for a piece of Normal size naan cut into 4 piece was $4-5. The entree was very small for the price as well. Overall, I thought it was ok place.

Seth J.

Yelp
I am not sure about eating in but ordering from them delivery is un-Godly slow!! I ordered one order of Garlic Naan and Paneer Masala SNF I didn't receive it for I kid you not 2 hours!!! Even the GrubHub guy texted me like "I am at the restaurant just waiting on these guys to make the food." And that was like 1.5 hours after I ordered it! Ordered from them before and it took over an hour and I picked medium heat (only options Mild, Medium and Hot) and it was like five star spicy. Like ridiculous. They must not care about getting repeat business I guess. Just get an order and think "I will get to that one when I feel like it" then 2 hours later you get it. Don't order delivery from these guys! You will regret it unless they get their act together.

Yelp
I just went to get lunch from Pabla today ... they're still the same ole delicious outfit -- with one side note : that they don't have the buffet up and running since the pandemic in 2020 :( ... but the kitchen is still open, they serve a delicious "mixed biryani" and Channa (garbanzo) masala that I ordered with Raita (yogurt) on the side ... I also took some cashew sweets called kaju halwa to go along for dessert ... still excellent skills, and good outfit for grocery items like Indian spices etc ... but I miss the buffet

S S.

Yelp
It's so good!!! We've lived in renton 2 years and lamented that we couldn't find great Indian food close to home. If only we'd discovered Pabla sooner. Yum!

Mia J.

Yelp
Everything we get has been delicious and the spice level has been just right. My favorites are currently saag aloo and aloo gobi, and I love the tomato soup. We order regularly and crave it even more regularly.

Isabel A.

Yelp
First time trying Indian food. They had quite a few vegan options. I got something with chickpeas I forgot what it's called but the flavor was amazing!

Harshul S.

Yelp
Ordered chat here. It was very good and tasty. Tried channa tikki and aloo dahi chaat

Vivek B.

Yelp
Had a nice dinner here this past week. Simple veg food like Dhal Channa Wali, Jeera Aloo & tandoori roti really hit the spot on a cold rainy November evening in Renton WA. I haven't tried the buffet but I tend to stay away from those & stick to the a al carte menu. It's 1/2 restaurant & 1/2 Indian grocery store in a strip mall. Not sure about the grocery side but the restaurant is worth a look. Not much ambiance to talk about and pretty average service but for a unpretentious desi veggie food fix close to Renton this seems to be the ticket.

Erin D.

Yelp
Takeout only, no lunch buffet. No sitting at tables allowed. I guess I should've called ahead of time to confirm. Change your website!

Megha A.

Yelp
We came to this place based on the recommendation from one of my friends but found the food to be okay. We heard great things about this place and came from Kirkland to try their buffet but were a bit disappointed. The food was decent but not great. I have had better buffets in Seattle area. Akshaya B.

Yelp
We came across this place during our Seattle trip and thought we should give it a shot. Inspite of many good reviews, I beg to differ. This place does not have authentic Indian flavors at all. I wouldn't recommend someone looking for authenticity. If you are okay if the American -Indian version of it, you would definitely like it. The price is on the above average side for the food served. The chana batura was just okay. The samosa chaat was better than the rest and the dahi Vada was nothing like a great dahi Vada. The ambience is classy. The service was pretty good.

Carrera H.

Yelp
The food is good, but the most underrated piece here is the grocery. There's a whole grocery of items you can't find in regular stores, from larger quantities of brown basmati right to specialty spices. My favorite part is their grab and go freezer, which has frozen items like their paneer masala meals, basmati rice, and samosas. When you just want to have a quiet evening at home in your sweats, but you don't want to do delivery, this is a great option to grab a delicious frozen meal and go.

Prashanth N.

Yelp
I bought only sweets and they tasted fresh and yummy. Only issue seems to be the wait time. I went during a non-busy hour but still it took a lot of time for the order to be fulfilled. Would recommend!

Vijay V.

Yelp
Went for dinner and ordered from the menu Lots of options to choose from We had the paneer shahi korma and paneer bhurji Both were very good The mix veg pakora and paneer pakora was very good Highly recommended

Con S.

Yelp
Highly recommend. My family gets take out from here at least once a week and the food is amazing. It has meant a lot to have these wonderful meals to look forward to this last year or so and I really appreciate the kind and respectful service I have received. Our two year old daughter especially loves the Pabla Shahi Paneer and we also regularly order the Pabla Special Biryani and Kala Chana Masala. Had several of the Nan selections and Pakoras and other sides...all delicious. Mild is good for those who don't like it too spicy, I personally prefer medium. Also have tried a few frozen desserts which were excellent as well. Hit them up, you will be glad that you did.

David P.

Yelp
This place is trash. We ordered 3 entrees and they only gave us one tiny bowl of rice for 2 people and tried to charge us when we asked for more. Very horrible portions. We ordered 2 naans and they were tiny slices stacked ontop of eachother. I spent 60$ and they gave us one tiny bowl of rice. Never come here and never give them your business!

Hari B.

Yelp
The Best Vegetarian restaurant you can find! Went on a Friday evening it was not very crowded there still a lot of tables empty. We were able to change tables upon asking as we did not want to sit at the entrance only. We ordered Breadbasket, Okra masala (which comes with rice) for the main course, and Samosa Chaat as an appetizer. Everything was good except for Samosa chaat. Okra Masala curry is the best! Naan was very good too. Appetizer was okay I gave only 4 stars due to the lady who did our service she is even in the picture. She was in such a hurry even while doing service while plating food or serving us anything she made a lot of noise feels like throwing food at us. Later, while she was passing by she asked how the food was; before we answer she left quickly to do something else. As I said, it was not super crowded to get that kind of attention from them. Overall, except for their customer service, I loved their food.

T. T.

Yelp
The food is SO DELICIOUS. Even the rice is amazing. We got tikka masala with paneer, saag chana, raita and daal. Everything was so flavorful. Got it delivered with no problems.

Rishabh J.

Yelp
Quality- bad, the korma and the tikka masala is all very bland and it is very runny, like the chef is using water instead cream in those. The samosas are good though. Quantity- I went to the buffet, so quantity was good. Service- everyone in here was frowning all the time. They also don't have bowls, instead they have these little shot glasses for dessert custard and wet dishes. Price- 11.99 in Renton is very pricey for a bland buffet.

Philicia S.

Yelp
Mmmmmmm just had dinner with the fam here. Delicious, freshly prepared vegetarian dishes. We ordered: Garlic Naan - yummy, nice toasty, garlic bits, pulled apart nicely and paired really perfect with our dishes Paratha - loved their whole wheat Paratha bread. it was thin, toasted and had a nice suttle grilled Indian bread flavor to it Saag Paneer - really enjoyed this, it's super kid friendly. my son is 6, he hates veggies, but saag paneer is one dish I convince him to eat every time and he actually enjoys it. the cheese was nice and chewy here too which made it more filling Pabla Shahi Korma - this was really yummy, pretty much tastes like a vegetarian butter chicken but with cheese curds. flavorful dish that went great with their fluffy basmati rice Vegetable Samosa - these were our favorites, we liked them here a lot. deep fried and crispy shell, hot filling that was perfect with their mint chutney and tamarind sauce. Eggplant Bhartha - this was our favorite for the nice, it had so much flavor depth in it. the texture was on point. I would say this is our new favorite. definitely coming back for it. Mango Banana Lassi- really good, chunks of banana pieces and a smooth mango taste, sweet as well, really helps cool down the spicy dishes Strawberry Lassi - was really good, it was more tart than the mango banana, but really good. you can taste a lot of the yogurt in this one. Service was great, really friendly and great with grabbing plates we weren't using any more. refilled our drinks as needed. A huge fan of this place, and the best part? They're all vegetarian dishes!

Ilmia N.

Yelp
I have been to this place about 6 times already and find it to be a decent option for lunch in Renton. The best thing about this place is that there is a lunch buffet every day until 3pm. The price for the buffet is $12 or $7 per lb if you choose to take out some home. Every time I went there, there was 1 dish that seems to be on rotation but everything else was more or less the same. There dishes are mild to medium spice level and could definitely make you feel "warm" on a rainy day. I hope they add more paneer to the spinach dish.

Vivian L.

Yelp
Delicious and so many vegetarian choices! So far my favorite is the eggplant bhartha. Roti was good. Prices are good too. Little restaurant attached to a small market with baked goods to go. Highly recommend this and will be back!

Melissa W.

Yelp
This place is very sneaky when you order. I called in to order because their prices are cheaper on the paper menu AND website. The guy who took my order somehow put it through my Grubhub account which has more expensive prices. Altogether, it cost me about $8 more for nothing. I mentioned this to the guy, twice, and didn't care, AT ALL. I liked that they had vegetarian options however, the food is overpriced for the serving size with bland flavors. Also, they have the same menu items with the same portion size in their market for HALF the price. This place is such a rip off..

Daren D.

Yelp
Managed to try the amazing---AMAZING, i said---lunch buffet. The pakoras, the nan, pulao rice, the kheer... really delicious stuff we got goin' on here. if only I worked alot closer, i'd make a schedule to come more often. =) More reason to come and try super awesome indian food people.

Robert C.

Yelp
Pretty darn good curry. I enjoyed the flavors and selection, a very authentic feel overall. The rice and bread were good. The curry could have had a little more temperature but had a great hearty flavor that perked up my day. It was very filling, I was only able to eat 2 plates! Usually I can put down 3 or 4 with ease, it must have been the large delicious samosa! I will definitely come back for more, this place will save the day when it's cold and rainy. The mint chutney was very mild, if there's one thing I would want to be better here it would be that because I'm partial to that condiment. Also, I'm not sure why the health board gave out a "could be better" cleanliness rating. I found it to. E very clean and didn't have anything that stuck out or tasted off. I didn't pay that mind because of the good ratings on here.

Robert H.

Yelp
Yum. Yum. Yum. The buffet lunch is a great deal at $11.00. The food taste great the service is really good. Water is filed plates are removed from the table when you go for more food. I add multiple things and loved them all. The Saag dish was my least favorite. It seemed less flavorful, but still good. The place is vegetarian, Kosher and has won many awards. Looking for something quick and easy for lunch that has great flavor and a little bit of spice? Come here.

Maria A.

Yelp
Finally tried this place after a bunch of people kept recommending it in the vegan city Seattle FB group. Really clean & neat space with very attentive staff. I skimmed the lunch buffet which had plenty of options for only $11 if you're not dairy free. All the items were very clearly labeled which I greatly appreciate & again, everything was super duper clean! The place looked new-ish which it totally isn't. Everything is vegetarian & whatever can be made dairy free is clearly labeled as well, LOVE THAT!! Solid flavor profiles with a good spice to everything. Food tasted really fresh & not too greasy/heavy. TONS of options with all the usual faves but also some unique dishes that you don't find everywhere (like black garbanzos!) Will definitely be coming back!! Bonus points for also having a small Indian market attached to it that had tons of spices, including BLACK SALT!

Ho-On Y.

Yelp
My favorite Indian buffet by far. I love every single dish they serve all the time. Nicely priced and even have a takeout option which I appreciate very much! They have a nice market too! Clean and well stocked. Look no further for an Indian restaurant.

Jeff N.

Yelp
Pabla has a Market and a restaurant. I will review both. I have been to Pabla to go to the market several times when I needed some Indian spices or other items for cooking. They have a good selection and one of the things I like is they have a lot of Indian pastries that taste as good as what you would get in India. The market also has a refrigerated section and they have paneer if you are interested in cooking some. I felt the paneer was reasonably priced and it is nice to have a go to place when I want to make some of my Indian curries. The restaurant is on the other side of the restaurant. I have been there for the buffet. It has a nice spread of vegetarian dishes and I felt some of them were a bit bland while others were perfect. I think they may have offered different dishes so that they could make everyone happy. I need bread to eat Indian food and had to wait a bit for them to refill the bread. I felt they should have had smaller portions of some of the items on the buffet so that they could offer some different items. I am giving the restaurant three stars and an extra star for the market. I was sitting right under a television that was very loud. I should have moved.

Kyle K.

Yelp
Delicious vegetarian Indian food with good service. My son and I went here for lunch and really enjoyed it. Plus the store is pretty awesome

Stuart K.

Yelp
Pabla is my favorite Indian restaurant. I go there frequently and have become friendly with the owner and manager. The food is amazing. I particularly like the Pabla special biryani with its rich flavor. I also enjoy the lunch buffet which offers a variety of tasty dishes (all you can eat). The service is friendly and attentive. There is a well stocked grocery as part of the restaurant. Finally, I appreciate it is Kosher supervised. I can take my Jewish friends to lunch and dinner there.

Felicia H.

Yelp
I ordered off the no onion no garlic menu - I have an allium allergy and was super excited to find a place that could cater. I received PLENTY of onions in the aloo ghobi I ordered and the tikka masala also smelled like onion so I couldn't eat that. But the worst part was that I tried to call them to confirm if ANY of the things I purchased were safe for me to eat and no one ever answered the phone after minutes of ringing. Needless to say I'm extremely disappointed in the service and customer response.
