"This family-owned restaurant turns out Italian favorites like calzones, signature white- and red-sauced pizza, homemade meatballs, and more. Order the Napoli pizza (anchovies, black olives, and basil), Quattro Stagioni pizza (a four-in-one pie featuring mozzarella, salami and ham, mushrooms and tomatoes) and a Calabrese (salami and sausage) calzone for the table. Not to be missed is the dessert menu, which includes chocolate profiteroles, limoncello shortcake, and Nutella pizza. The team recently expanded to D.C. with a new Pacci’s on Capitol Hill." - Tim Ebner

The special of the day didn’t get offered to us, apparently we had to ask, I didn’t know that was a thing. We also had to ask for the complementary bread after noticing that everyone received it accept for us. Our food was pretty good. We got the calamari, shrimp scampi, pesto shrimp, and two glasses of wine. Overall, it’s a Cute cozy intimate restaurant in the cut with good customer service and pretty good food.

Google
Awesome Italian food. We’ve been there twice and loved it. Staff was very accommodating on Father’s Day, as we walked in w/o reservations. Service was great, even though they were busy. We really enjoy Pacci’s 👍🏼

Google
Most authentic Italian cuisine would give 6 stars if possible. Their special, the Lobster and crab ravioli, was the best dish I have ever had (I ended up adding on an additional serving!!) looking forward to our next trip hopefully VERY SOON. The staff was wonderful, we had a reservation that we were going to be an hour late for (due to flight delays) and they were able to work with us when we called ahead. Pretty crowded and loud (was the only downside) but that’s to be expected when it’s dinner rush and EVERYONE wants to eat there! Absolutely fantastic! Don’t skip out on this place!

Saw this place and let me tell you, what a surprise.......great food and wonderful, sweet people. Sat by window, rainy day but still was very nice. I say if you driving by stop and have a bite. You won't regret it!!!!!

Google
This is a nice local Italian restaurant, with family recipes and a small restaurant charm. Service was acceptable, but not swift, and the food was quite good, although we have had better. We had a number of pasta dishes, which were tasty. Wine selection was expansive. Prices are quite reasonable, about $35 per person. I liked this place.

Google
Fantastic food and service l. Even though the patio was not official open, the young server let us go.l there with our dog. Eggplant starter was delicious. Highly recommend. Then pasta dishes, both very tasty and perfect portions. Only suggestion would be some bread would have been nice.

We were 2 adults and an 8 year old child, the food that was available was only buffet style, the food was visibly from the previous day! We spent $117 dollars to eat food from the previous day, I tried shrimp with bacon, impossible to bite because it was so hard! Being a person who lived in Italy for 11 years, I do not recommend this place! In fact, the environment is very hot, even with the air conditioning on! I can say that if I had known, I would have gone to Chipotle! I do not recommend it, $117 dollars and no drinks, just water! Worst place in Bethesda!

Everything about having dinner at Pacci's was a wonderful experience. The food was delicious, the flavors superb and the wine was smooth. Friendly service and lovely atmosphere. We'll come back and try their pizza next. 💯👌🏽☺️

Yelp
Local Italian restaurant with pizza and pasta. The atmosphere was enjoyable. Lots of windows to enjoy the view. Great lightening. The food had some hit and miss options. The pizza was not very good. The crust was dry and the pizza was too salty. The two pastas were really good. The salmon that was a special was amazing. The vegetables were cooked perfectly and had a great flavor. The Nutella pizza was nothing special. The service was not great. We had to ask twice to get more water. Overall, I would go back for the salmon and the pasta.

Yelp
We have never eaten inside the restaurant; instead, we have always gotten take out. The only thing I ever order is their spaghetti and meatballs because I like it so much. I would give them 5 stars for their spaghetti. But this time, I was very disappointed. I went along with my husband and ordered shrimp scampi, a favorite dish of ours. Pacci's version was absolutely awful. I don't understand why a chef would change up a recipe so much! The standard shrimp scampi as I know it, is made with white wine, lemon, butter and garlic and served over spaghetti. And that recipe has my heart. THAT was what I wanted and was expecting. This recipe, made with no garlic, instead featured shallots and was served over linguine. It had an almost sweet, relishy taste. The shrimp was cooked properly, but the recipe is simply NOT good. If we hadn't ordered the tiramisu (which was divine), I would have gone hungry tonight. The young woman who rang me up and packaged our take-out was gracious, efficient and kind, as she very helpfully showed this 76-year old woman exactly where to sign the check and then opened the door for me, overwhelmed on this rainy night with 2 packages in my hands. I WILL order from Pacci's again, just not this dish, which should be a standard in any good restaurant.

Yelp
Enjoyed a homemade meal here. The appetizer Pacci bread was quite tasty, is made of their pizza crust which is delicious and didn't detract from having pizza for the main entree. The pizza had that amazing crust with fresh sauce, I thought there could have been more flavor, I had to add some salt, paprika which I never do to pizza. The service could also be more attentive, we ran out of water several times and had to stop someone to ask for refills. The Nutella pizza for desert was good but could have used something extra on top to crest some opposing textures or flavors. Local Italian spot fun for a visit.

Yelp
I was not impressed by the food or service at this location. The eggplant fritti appetizer was decent but the server only provided one plate even though we said we wanted to split it. We ended up taking a second plate off a nearby table because the waiter showed no signs of returning while the appetizer was hot. The bread was no better than italian bread from a grocery store. Our pizzas were disappointing. The Verace pizza was bland, oily, and extremely flimsy. The crust was pretty good but not enough to justify the price. We had to ask for a water refill several times before a waiter finally helped us. The restaurant interior is cute. As many orher reviewers have pointed out, parking is very limited and tricky. I'm glad I tried it, but don't plan on returning.

Judy R.

Yelp
Great staff and such a beautiful old romantic restaurant. The buffet is fresh and loved all the offerings! The pasta was delicious!

Mark L.

Yelp
I always passed by this place that looked like a rail car. Looked really cool so I gave it a shot. Went in for lunch and tried the chicken parm sandwich. First off everyone was extremely nice 5 stars. Ambiance 5 stars. The Parm was on the other hand underwhelming. Chicken was bland and sauce was almost non existent. Bun wasn't toasted and cheese looked and tasted like it was just warmed. I'm from NYC and my local slice shop's parm sandwich for $9 slaps. This was $18.75! so I was excited for a killer sandwich. This was more of a hero style. I was so hungry and ate the first half. Bummer , I couldn't even finish it.

Yelp
Yum yum yum. Delicious. Cute pasta place that has a cozy vibe. Be aware that it has a small parking lot and is usually closed from 2:30-5pm.

Eimy B.

Yelp
I love this spot. I think it's the ambiance here and location. It looks like a cute little cottage house. Parking can be a little overwhelming for a first timer. There's parking right in front of the restaurant but usually packed. However there is additional parking beside the restaurant, towards the back. It really depends who your server is. I've been here a few times and have brought different family members because I really enjoy the food. Some servers are super friendly, others are there just to get you in and out. However, never had a bad plate or any issues with the food. If it's super busy, be sure to ask for everything you need, salt/pepper, additional utensils, sauces, etc because you may not see your server for a bit. The food is amazing. Every dish I've had has been phenomenal. It's hard to find good Italian food but this is it. It's a hidden gem because where it's located, I would have never thought to find food there. It's past the forest Glen metro station, if you're familiar with Montgomery county. And near a super busy intersection, I think that's why it may get missed. I've always drove past it and I'm so happy I finally stopped on in.

Hugh K.

Yelp
The food here is fine--by no means the best Italian meal I've ever had and far, far from the worst. I ordered the chicken marsala, and it was a little underseasoned but otherwise okay. My partner got chicken milanese and said much the same. The fried mozzarella appetizer was salty but made with fresh, high-quality cheese. Service was excellent and attentive. The restaurant drew a really, REALLY low-class clientele tonight, with families not minding their kids and being obnoxiously loud and boisterous. If this is typical for the kinds of people who come here, you can expect never to be able to enjoy a peaceful meal.

Aarti B.

Yelp
A hidden gem in Silver Spring with authentic wood-fired Neapolitan pizza tucked away off the main drag of Georgia Ave. The complimentary fluffy loaf of warm bread with olive oil is divine and nearly conquered the loaf before even getting started on the pizza! The Verace pizza has a pillowy crust and the scrumptious buffalo mozzarella cheese hits the spot! A glass of Chianti pairs well with the meal. The cocktails are spot on too, the Peach Bellini was made with real peach puree. The cozy restaurant is quiet and while it could use some dusting with cobb webs hanging from the lamps and a fresh coat of paint, it's a relief that it doesn't draw crowds and the pizza and warm bread are well worth it. Skip the pastas - they are not made in-house. Among the best Neapolitan pizzas in the DMV area. Definitely worth the trek from McLean, VA and excited to come back!

Yelp
Yes-yes-a thousand times yes. Pacci's is such a fabulous place I hope I can find the words to share their excellence. I guess I'll start with a running argument I've been having with Yelp about the coveted "6 Star Review." The theory is that once a year, Yelp Elites (with five or more consecutive years of "Eliteness") are granted a single review to which they can give a 6th star. This would up the average of the restaurant's review score. Anyway...Pacci's would get my 2022 6th star. We started with the sampler appetizer (Piattone of Pacci's). It didn't come with the olives as advertised but that's okay because I hate olives :-0 The Buffalo Mozzarella was so delish and there were little balls of it wrapped inside of the smoked salmon too. Honestly the whole dish was fantastic. I had the Paisana white pizza and it was pure heaven (I actually did the Philip Rosenthal arms over the head celebration after my first bite). The Parmesan was subtle enough not to overpower the rest of the ingredients and the basil/mozzarella balance was flawless. This pizza was perfection from the first bite to the last. The Mrs. had the Pacci's salad which had a beautiful combination of ingredients including some of my personal faves, pears, nuts, and craisins. It also benefitted from being massive and worthy of being called a meal. I would go to Pacci's three times a week if I could justify it. Definitely going on the 6-Star list.

Yelp
I really want to like this place. The Sunday brunch experience was abysmal: cold coffee, 2 out of 3 orders that arrived after a long wait... and the third one that didn't arrive at all ("the kitchen is making your omelet again because the first one was burnt") and a cold, cold dining area.

Steven A.

Yelp
As a connoisseur of Italian delicacy, I had been looking and authentic Italian food experience all over the DMV and it saddened me, that what I was looking for was right in my backyard this entire time. This place is nothing short of amazing. If you're looking for wholesome, rustic, proper Italian cuisine, this is it. We started off with the Burrata and Prosciutto antipasti and wow! An explosion of flavors this. The prosciutto was thinly shaved and flavorful, and paired well with the burrata that oozed upon slicing. Coupled with some lovely toasted buttered bread, bits of arugula and tomato w/ basil on top.. an absolute beaut of a starter. 5/5 for me! For mains, I had the Capricossa pie and it did not disappoint. I could not confirm, but I'm confident that the flour they used to make their pizza is the coveted 00 flour, which is great for digestion and not leaving you bloated after. My partner had the Campagonla salad and said it was divine. Service was immaculate as our server was kind, helpful, knowledgeable, courteous and attentive, as were all the staff in all honesty. All in all, I can't wait to come back and try more of this menu because this first time left a lasting impression on me. It gave me that Italian experience I had been longing for. My biggest regret is not having tried this gem sooner. I will be back asap!

Linda L.

Yelp
Worth the trip. Delicious food (from apps to pizza/entree to dessert) and wonderful service. Don't let the little house look fool you. This place is grand!

Karim I.

Yelp
Great pizzas, fast service and beautiful back porch. The white pizza with arugula was my favorite.

Rob P.

Yelp
Excellent wood-fired pizza. Fast, friendly service. Scrumptious tiramisu. We didn't have the pasta, but everything we saw going by looked amazing. Definitely will return.

Linda C.

Yelp
Food was excellent; for that we would definitely go back, plus the menu had a good amount of choices for all people. Ambiance is fast paced, not particularly quiet but definitely family-oriented. It was the service that gave us disappointment. Our waiter called us 'Ladies' for which I thank him, but as we were sitting out on the little patio he barely stepped into the room. One foot in, one foot still in the main restaurant area. We were not asked if we were ready for the check, but assumed after dessert we were. I do not appreciate assumptions... The young waiter who offered us water called us 'guys'; in our middle to late 60's we are NOT guys! Understand it's just a phrase, but not to older women. We will definitely go back, but the owner/manager of Pacci's needs to train their wait staff to be a bit more appropriate.

Jill G.

Yelp
Our group had a great meal at Pacci's in SS! Our waitress was very accommodating and friendly as I had to order a separate item to go, and she reminded me when to do that during the meal. We thoroughly enjoyed the appetizer of fried mozzarella, which came with a little side salad. For my meal, I had LINGUINE ALLE VONGOLE, and a side Caesar. They were both delicious (the linguine seemed homemade and came with fresh clams). The glass of Chianti was delightful, and a decent pour! This restaurant will definitely be on our regular list.

Chris A.

Yelp
Took off one star because pricey on some items. However depending on your taste you may be surprised at how you don't mind paying because what you get is so delicious! The lasagna at $20 is incredibly delicious. The pizza is also wonderful. Great small location and an excellent place to take a date or friend

Claudia V.

Yelp
My favorite place in Kensington. Excellent Italian cuisine. I always get the mussels on the appetizer side. The best. Staff is always wonderful. I love the ambience on the back porch.

Marc Z.

Yelp
Only been to Forest Glen. Good food. Twice been there and received wrong entree. Bygones. Always a good meal.

Arthur H.

Yelp
We were -so- disappointed with Pacci's. The calamari was so salty it was almost inedible- a real shame, as it had a great crunch (and we love salty food- just not -that- salty!). The eggplant pizza was ruined by chunks of -raw- eggplant. I've been ordering eggplant pizza all over the country for many many years, and no one ever served it raw- which is bitter and unpleasant. The salami on the Quattro Stagioni had the gamy sour taste of meat that was getting a little too old- as someone who loves all sorts of salami, it wasn't an issue with the salami, it was with how long it was left out. Bottom line- we won't be back.

Yelp
P is for Pacci's: Introduction: A date & I visited Pacci's for lunch on Friday, December 31, 2021. The end of 2021 was a weird time, where Covid was on a big upswing, and I was pursuing dating. In summer 2021, I had won tickets on the radio to a ticketed event on January 8, 2022. My first choice for this event was a date. If I couldn't have a date, then I would either find a friend to go or sell the tickets. My dating had been bad in September-December until the last 2 days of the year, with 3 dates, 2 bad & 1 mediocre. I had a very good 1st date on Thursday, 12/30, someone from online. This woman & I both had New Year Eve's off work, and I knew her for 3 years, but didn't pursue dating her until December 2020 but never panned out all of 2021 until the very last day. Restaurant: I had gotten there about 20 minutes early in case it was busy as it was New Year Eve's, and some people might've been off. Unfortunately, for Pacci's it was dead there as Covid probably sacred a lot of the sensitive Montgomery County crowd off. The restaurant was a bit off the beaten path as in not on Georgia, Connecticut, or some other major street. The place was clean and well decorated. We were in an area that jutted out by a window. I got a mushroom pizza, which was delicious. The server was friendly and answered any questions we had. The table was a little crooked, and the glasses were sliding toward the window at times, which was an ongoing joke on our date. So, they might want to check the foundation of the restaurant. As for the date, it was very good, and more importantly, she agreed the next day to go to the January 8 ticketed event I had.

Carolina S.

Yelp
Loved the food and service! We're new to the area and were told this is the best pizza around. 100% authentic, fresh ingredients and simply delicious. We also tried the red sangria pitcher very sweet as expected and perfect for a brunch drink.

Rocky R.

Yelp
Food was great, deserts were great but the best part was our server, Caitlin. She was very helpful, kind and would get everything we ordered or asked for promptly. Caitlin provided great customer service. Also, the restaurant was clean and nice.

Melissa M.

Yelp
We went tonight for dinner to try something new. (As Boston implants to the MD Burbs, we have struggled to find really really great Italian). The restaurant is much larger than it appears and parking is hard, FYI. They seemed to have a lot of take out so it was promising. I ordered the penne alla vodka and added on chicken. The sauce was delicious but the chicken was hard and not very flavorful; wish I skipped the chicken. Ryan got the chicken parm. It was good, not the best he's had down here but he did eat it all! Service was very slow. Took about 20 minutes to get the bill; totally understand some wait time. For the quality and quantity of the food, it's not worth the high price. We may go back in the future for the pizza, but we aren't going to rush back.

Mary W.

Yelp
Visited this lovely neighborhood restaurant over the weekend for Sunday brunch and bottomless mimosas. The host was perfect - attentive, kind, and helpful. The waiter was also very nice. We enjoyed the waffles and chicken and seafood omelette very much and will return.

Don C.

Yelp
Pacci's is the home of exceptional Italian food and service in Silver Spring, MD. This is our favorite cold-weather restaurant, with a large fireplace that dominates the dining room. They have a good online presence, so see for yourself: https://www.paccistrattoria.com. They are closed on Monday. We have only dined there in the evening but they are open for lunch 11:30 AM-2:30 PM and offer a Sunday brunch.

Valerie M.

Yelp
Really really good pizza. Some of the best to be found in the area. We didn't have a reservation, so we sat at the bar. It had the added bonus of giving a bit of a view to the kitchen.

Emily B.

Yelp
Cute atmosphere but food is mediocre at best. Parking is non existent. The dishes are standard Italian, nothing to write home about. The brunch has a varied selection but still boring. The flavor of everything is just lacking.

Michelle K.

Yelp
This was a really nice casual Italian place off the beaten path. The food and service were very good. It was slow on a Thursday night. I really liked the carbonara. The aperol spritz I had was a bit watered down but everything else was enjoyable! I would return. Thanks!

Sherryn A.

Yelp
Connected with an old friend whom I hadn't seen since before COVID. Lobster ravioli special was phenomenal. Staff let us linger for 2.5 hours because we said we hadn't seen each other in so long. Susie (sp) was awesome!!! Thanks Pacci's. I liked your former space a lot but this space felt authentic & cute.

Lavanya S.

Yelp
Good food and beverages! Portion sizes are generous so you get your money's worth. Decent vegetarian options too!

Maura H.

Yelp
Haven't gone in a while because the last two times: 1. a little creeper ran across the wall next to our table. 2. The waitress we had was rude and gave us a lecture about how she doesn't wait for people to argue over the bill and just grabbed one card to pay it. She mentioned her experience and it was funny b/c she seemed so amatuer, annoyed, and rude. We almost skipped her tip but luckily for her we are not with those attributes.

Edwin k.

Yelp
Great pasta ! Quiet location. Fresh cooked food and good staff. Did I mention great pasta?

Kevin W.

Yelp
Amazing food been coming here for 8 years. We always crave the pizza from here. The chicken and pasta is amazing too.

Bernadette P.

Yelp
Ever since my husband and I took my parents here, it has been our go to double date restaurant. We love their brunch but ever since the pandemic, we haven't been back. We love all their food so we usually pick different dishes and share so we can try everything. Recently, I ordered an espresso martini Nd they did not disappoint. Also, try the nutella pizza with your choice of fruit toppings. Yum!

Jessica L.

Yelp
We love this place! Went tonight for a get together with another family. The food is soooooo good. Both pizza and the pasta are fabulous. The dough and crust... delish! I love the pizzas with the arugula. The calzones are also lovely. It can be pricey but for a special pizza dinner - this is THE place.

Meisha C.

Yelp
What a great experience! This quaint space has been overlooked by me a million times until my friends decided we were going to visit. It's so cute on the inside with little rooms that are used for service. We were placed in the middle room and for quite some time it was just our party. It gave us privacy with just enough noise to appreciate the restaurant still being busy. The wine (Pinot Nior) was delicious and the bread was tasty. But the pizzas was the star of the evening! Fresh, light, tasty and quite amazing! So absolutely worth the calories AND the money! Go! Enjoy! Drink, eat, and be merry!

David N.

Yelp
The food was very good. Unfortunately, do not have gluten-free pasta, so I had a very limited menu to choose from. They also did not honor their check-in offer saying that it expired eight years ago. I enjoyed the compagnia salad and the mussels Others enjoyed chicken parm, spaghetti and meatballs, and a pizza. Our toddler granddaughter really liked the chicken. Selection of reasonably priced wines and cocktails.

Emily H.

Yelp
It's a nice little corner building with limited parking in Silver Spring. We went to meet up with some old friends and were very happy with the entrees. The portion sizes were good, but a bit overpriced for what it was. I had the lasagna, which was good. A little too cheesy (I had a pretty big chunk of cheese on the side), but delicious. My daughter loved the mozzarella appetizer, and my husband enjoyed his pasta dish (cannot recall what he had ordered). The pizza was good as well. We had a new waiter, but he was very nice and tried his best. We will be back!

Francesca G.

Yelp
Absolutely delicious!! Our server Shaniqua was fabulous!! We will be back !! Salad so fresh pasta cooked perfectly!! Excellent!!

Kristina Haas L.

Yelp
What a great find in SE DC, both food and service were excellent! We popped in for a late lunch. Cacio e pepe, a favorite of mine, is not a dish I see too often on the menu in many Italian restaurants and it did not disappoint. Not usually a mid-day drinker but had to try the Negroni Blanco since that, too, is not often offered. That did not disappoint either. And to top off an already wonderful meal which I will be sure to repeat soon (Larry loved the pizza) the tiramisu, made in-house, was the best we have ever had anywhere, both in the US and Italy.

Eric P.

Yelp
Very good service and a nice variety of entrees and salads. Excellent atmosphere, tricky parking , though.

Betsy W.

Yelp
The food is good, the pizzas are good ( but ask it for it well done if you dont want it runny in the middle ) but I was charged $12 for an unnamed, undrinkable glass of Cabernet. We have been eating in this restaurant for many years, and I know all about inflation, but this felt like gouging unless they do a way better job selecting house wines.

A S.

Yelp
Best margarita pizza in the area. I swing by to take it 'to go' often and it is consistently superb.

S H.

Yelp
Super cute neighborhood restaurant that is friendly, big portions, and a fun neighborhood vibe.

Jackie S.

Yelp
Delicious! Every appetizer, antipasto, pasta dish and especially the desserts were perfect. Hot and super fresh. The staff is amazing! I highly recommend giving this place a try. I highly recommend the Burrata & Prosciutto and my favorite is the Eggplant Fritti. Here's just a few pics from the evening.

Michael P.

Yelp
Don't order delivery. Our's arrived ice cold - 40 minutes after the original estimated delivery time. The crust seemed nice, but it was not a great experience.

Big R.

Yelp
Food is pretty good but always rude service and packed and overpriced. I went yesterday and the hostess was super rude with me. This place always feels like there is no manager there.
