"Pace has several locations in major art hubs, but the Palo Alto gallery has its own innovative energy. This is the space to see established art world players spanning Mark Rothko, Barbara Hepworth, and even Alexander Calder alongside a slew of others. Next up exhibition-wise is Damian Loeb’s Wishful Thinking, a deeply conceptual take on traditional landscape painting. To get a taste of the artistic immersion that happens here from home, Pace regularly publishes beautiful books in collaboration with their roster of artists. The teamlab exhibition was amazing. They filled the Pace Gallery's small space with stunning displays. Hopefully, they can bring some interactive art works in the future.

Small gallery, but it's free. Only spent 15 minutes there, but it was pleasant. We saw a show of five pieces by Touchlab, a design firm from Japan. Large, moving pieces of digital art. Very soothing to look at, with lots of textures. Calming.

Saw the Navaho blankets and Agnes Martin show recently. It was an interesting paring, but what I liked the most was the way the two bodies of art were thoughtfully segregated. Well hung and sequenced, the show was well curated. I've seen Martin's work presented in Santa Fe, but I thought it showed better here. A smallish gallery space, but a treasure here on the peninsula.

Loved the Picasso exhibit. The iPad descriptions were really helpful. Staff was welcoming. Displays were well laid out. Lighting and ambience were excellent.

For a high end gallery, they are very down to earth , patient to explain all the works and the artist's concepts, especially Taylor who was hosting the gallery at the time when we visited . Very digestible shows each time , one was Hockney iPad prints of Yosemite , one was of China artists, which a porcelain of white paper was particularly eye catching

Small gallery with rotating events every 6 to 8 weeks. This is a good stop when downtown in Palo Alto. I saw a great photo series by Irving Penn.

Picasso exhibit was really great, small but worth visiting and the AR touch was really engaging too. Highly recommend.

Yelp
Love Pace Gallery! This location is small so you'll probably only spend about 15 minutes looking around. Sign up for their email list so you'll be first to hear about new exhibitions. Because of COVID, you have to sign up for timed (free) tickets to get in. Pre-COVID, they used to have opening receptions with drinks for new exhibitions, so I hope they'll bring those back once it's safe to do so! A great spot to stop by and look at art before getting drinks and dinner in the area.

Yelp
Great date spot. Clean space. Minimalist and currently featuring Chinese artists. This is a fun place to come up with stories of each piece of art and then have Taylor give you a tour with the history of the artists. Come before dinner.

Yelp
Very unique, classy, neat gallery for contemporary art exhibits. And it's free. First-time visit, the staff was friendly and very helpful. After hearing our discussions, the receptionist even came to explain some of the pieces and gave us a background story of the Jewish artist. She then informed us about the next exhibit, the background of the upcoming artist, and when the meet-n-greet is with that photographer. Very happy experience. Will come back again.

Yelp
PACE gallery is located in the downtown area, so there's no lot or designated parking spots. The gallery was smaller than I expected (essentially just one big room sectioned off into 2-3 areas), so this would be a good place to stop by for ~15 minutes. It has a sleek and modern feel that is perfect for contemporary pieces such as the ones by teamLab. I didn't notice any restrooms inside for visitors, unless it was in the area behind the back doors (which was closed during my visit on an opening reception night). I attended the opening night of teamLab's exhibit Continuous Life and Death at the Now of Eternity. Admission is free and there was also complimentary wine and champagne that night to make for a good time to enjoy the pieces and strike some conversations with fellow art enthusiasts. There was also a small packet available that provided an overview of the artist and their pieces and the history of PACE gallery (highly recommend grabbing one of these informational sheets!) teamLab's pieces were absolutely mesmerizing; check it out before they swap it out for another exhibit! teamLab exhibit ends on January 13, 2019.

Yelp
Super small gallery. Basically only 3 sections of work. The infamous James Turrell installation was just 1 of the 3 sections of the gallery. It's definitely mesmerizing watching that installation and the colors slowly change. One man was sitting there and staring at it for a really long time - almost lost in the work. The work in the gallery is pretty nice but I wouldn't go in with a lot of expectations since the space is so small and I think people go in mainly for that one installation. It's very different from the Pace gallery in Menlo Park. Luckily it was free to get in and there were a lot of other areas of Palo Alto nearby to explore.

Yelp
If you call the gallery and ask them the difference between their two locations on yelp, they will tell you that the first one is really small list to rooms. The first room has a white wall this one frame. They are not kidding! The second room has seven frames. This is free admission and unless you stay and take pictures you won't need more than 15 minutes. Street parking.

Yelp
I'm not a big fan of art but this place was utmost boring. There wasn't much to see and we were literally there for less than 5 minutes. There was a receptionist in front but she didn't give us any information whatsoever so we didn't really know what we were looking at. Don't think we'll ever come back to this gallery again.

Yelp
FREE gallery focused on contemporary art. It's very small, but because it's on University, it's convenient to visit, and consequently, usually worth visiting to see the new gallery. If you enjoy contemporary art, it's worth a detour.

Yelp
First time visiting the Pace Gallery for the grand opening with James Turrell. Lovely art exhibit with a very cool area in the back (possibly a bookstore) that was closed off for VIP and I think for a book signing by the artist. Right in downtown Palo Alto, definitely worth stopping by.

Yelp
A small conveniently located gallery that features the work of one artist about once a month. You will have to check when they are open because they do close for a day or two in between exhibits. A very classy gallery and I have gone to see two exhibits so far: Michael Rovner's "Evolution", and Hai Bo's "The Southern Series." Rovner's Evolution is multimedia art, whereas Hai Bo's art was black and white photography of southern China. Both exhibits I felt the work was beautiful, and very contemporary. They do give out cards from the artists that explains their backgrounds as well.

Yelp
I like this place. And love art work and most of art work to help my design. I will come back this gallery with my family and friends.

Yelp
One of my all time favorite spots in Palo Alto! Unique, cozy gallery conveniently located in downtown whose art is as fantastic as its wonderful team. They hosted an event for our group there and it was of the most wonderful experiences that we have had working with anyone. The staff helped us create a magical environment to admire the art while also engaging in interesting conversation. Their staff and the space made the art come to life and truly invites additional interest in the art displayed and the artists story. I am looking forward to coming back to see new exhibits, chat with the staff and tell as people as I can to come and experience this gallery!

Yelp
My girlfriend and I tried to attend the opening this evening, but after standing in the freezing cold for an hour and a half, we bailed. I understand there is a limited capacity, however, it was incredibly frustrating watching what I can only assume are some sort of social elite get to skip the line to just stand inside and socialize without even looking at the art while I stood around and froze. I don't appreciate being made to feel like I'm a part of the proletariat, especially when I'm there to appreciate the actual art. The staff handled the opening poorly, and needs to make sure they improve the way they treat their patrons, wealthy or otherwise.

Yelp
One word- WOW. I was near Palo Alto for a day, so I decided to come to Pace Gallery for a visit. Upon coming here, I read reviews saying that the best way to get tickets were online. When I tried to get tickets, it said it was sold out! I didn't let that stop me, so I went to the front desk and they had tickets! Don't be discouraged if it says its sold out! They don't ever pick up their phone calls, so I would not suggest to try. The Pace Gallery is so advanced in technology and it widens up my perspective in art. Everything is so modernized and advanced unlike other galleries. Don't get me wrong, I love traditional art and the galleries but Pace really sets the bar. I stayed for maybe about an hour to an hour and a half at the gallery. I sat in one of the rooms for quite a long time, as it was the most soothing thing eveeerrrrr. There's the children's section which is next door. I loved the childrens section oh so much, so don't forget to check that out! I went on quite a hot day, and it was extremely extremely stuffy! I would suggest wearing extremely light layers, theres absolutely no need for a jacket.

Yelp
This place is so cute. I've been wanting to go for awhile and I finally found the time to go. At first it wasn't what I expected when I saw pictures of it online. Everything was smaller than it looked. I wish they had more things to show for the price I paid. Overall it was nice to go once, don't think I'd go again.

Yelp
I enjoyed the David Hockney art exhibit very much!

Yelp
I was mesmerized by the work of artist, David Hockney.

Yelp
this gallery isn't extraordinary, but it's a great start to bring arts to the bay area. please keep it up!
