Stopped in on a whim and was pleasantly surprised. The cappuccino was bold and flavorful — no weak brew here. If you prefer your coffee with a kick, this is your place. The barista was friendly and clearly knew what he was doing. It looks like they roast their own beans (there’s even a roaster inside), and the aroma hits you the moment you walk in. The shop is unpretentious — simple design, clean layout, and a peaceful atmosphere where you can think, relax, or even get some work done. What I loved: • Intense, high-quality coffee • Quiet and not crowded • Self-roasted beans • Quick service Don’t expect pastries or a trendy setup — but do expect good coffee and peace of mind.

Did some work on my laptop here in May. I enjoyed the strong wifi. The pandan matcha latte wasn't my favorite. I love pandan and this drink tasted really floral in an artificial way and overly syrupy so I didn't like my drink. Next time I would stick with an espresso drink since I know they make those well.

Google
Farmer sourced coffee! I ordered the purple Haze matcha latte! **DELIGHTFUL***. Big area to sit and work on my laptop! Stayed for 15-20 minutes. And it was quiet and enjoyable. Also bought coffee beans to nei f back with me! Love the packaging and detail!

Google
Coffee menu is simple with some specials. Reasonably priced. One thing to note, they don’t carry heavy cream. The ambiance is perfect for working or catching up with a friend. We love coming here when we’re in town.

Google
We wanted to try a new local coffee shop and I am so glad we found this place! The atmosphere was amazing as well as the customers service. The place is clean and feels very welcoming. I wished I lived closer to frequent them more. I will definitely be back on the weekends!

Fernanda B

Google
A tad pricey but nonetheless worth it for quality coffee! I got the small iced maple latte with oat milk, yummy, smooth and not overly sweet! My boyfriend got the iced lavender matcha and he seemed to enjoy it.

pejb On the edge

Google
Pricey compared to the chains, and worth it a discriminating palate. Bit longer wait, felt more hand crafted. $7.50 for a 12 oz mocha with 2 shots - tasty and very smooth.

Google
Great coffee and great customer service but I have to agree with other reviews that the larger room has so much echo and noise level that it makes it unpleasant to stay. I wonder if addition of plants or soft decor would help.

Yelp
Out of all of the coffee shops in Sacramento, I can confidently say that you are getting some of the best quality coffee if you come to Pachamama. I think everything is reasonably priced. I like the atmosphere of the inside. This is somewhere that I could imagine meeting up with a friend that you haven't seen in a while, and you just want to have a chat with them over a cup of coffee. The service was great! I got exactly what I ordered, with nice latte art as an additional touch. Whoever is in charge of this place, as well as all of the employees, props to you all! Keep shops like Pachamama alive in Sacramento!

Yelp
Pachamama is hands down my favorite coffee shop in Sacramento so far! Everytime I come here, I feel at peace and it's nice seeing familiar baristas! It makes it feel very welcoming. Parking can be more difficult but there's plenty of seating inside (yes outlets and yes wifi). I like that there are big windows too so you can get some natural light in. I've tried a couple of their drinks but usually end up ordering honeybear latte. Drinks usually range from $6-7 depending on adjustments. I love latte art so here's a picture we can all admire haha

Yelp
We came here last weekend and enjoyed our order. The matcha latte and regular lattes that we got were delicious, creamy and quality-tasting. The service was ok, we had asked if they had any specials and the other lady pointed to the floor menu and said they were there, no engagement no enticement of specials, etc. The other girl was friendlier and made a nice design on the matcha. Overall, it's a cute little coffee place just a lil on the pricier side.
google avatar

Suzette Z.

Yelp
This place is so cute and is bigger than I expected. There's an extra room next door so there's plenty of space for a meet up! The specials were good! Dulce de Leche was the favorite. Stop by! You won't be disappointed
google avatar

Mikayla M.

Yelp
Always good lattes here, the winter drinks are always my favorite because I love the dulce de leche one. But today I tried the gingerbread one and it was super good too. Service is always great, and there is plenty of comfortable seating here too.
google avatar

Annie Y.

Yelp
They have limited parking in their parking lot, but plenty of street parking. They also have a lot of spaces to sit down and work. I ordered the Cardamom Rose Latte and it was okay to me. I didn't really taste the cardamom or rose as much. They do have a restroom that requires a code. Recommendation(s): - None Service: 5/5 Tip(s): - Parking lot is limited, plenty of street parking - Restroom requires code

Yelp
A Sacramento institution and I don't think of it nearly as often as I should. While I'm all for minimalism and industrial accents, the wood and small greenery sprinkled about give this place an extra homey feel. Their menu is not as expansive as most but they do everything extremely well. Their staff are polite and produce beautiful latte art. My matcha latte had great, deep flavor and the right amount of sweetness for my liking.

Yelp
I was visiting Sacramento for work and decided to try Pachamama based on a Yelp! search. It was a bit of a drive from where I was staying and when I arrived the small parking lot was full. Not knowing the area, I noticed the streets surrounding required a permit to park, so I ended up having to park about half a mile away. Not a big issue, but on a chilly day in high heels it wasn't ideal. The inside is a bit plain and the menu minimalistic. I asked the barista about their chai, which he said was on the milder side. I like a spicy chai, so I opted for the Honey Bear latte with almond milk. My coffee was up within a matter of a few minutes and I was on my way. If desired, there is a space to the left of the main area with tables to work remotely. My drink was good, nothing too fancy but it did the job.

Yelp
Pachamama Coffee is an organic coffee shop. It is the ONLY US based location(s) that is 100% owned by farmers in Perú, Nicaragua, Guatemala, México & Ethiopia this ensuring a highly profitable operation & high quality beans. Featuring espresso-based coffees; like lattes and drips. Seasonal specials are a standout here such as the unique brûlée latte which my daughter and I opted for. They had a gingerbread one that was on their monthly menu that I had considered, but also an everyday flavor called Honey-bear which we both decided on. Our lattes were delicious. A little pricey ( IMO) for the size, but a great experience. Check out their additional drinks they offer; such as their organic teas, cold brews, espressos, & cappuccinos. There's vegan and gluten free options for beverages and food too! Also, you can purchase/ fill canisters with ground or whole beans in store. For "out of town" consumer's you can purchase this brand thru Amazon for delivery at home.

Yelp
I have no regrets spontaneously stopping by this coffee stop. I ordered a mocha latte. It was SO smooth and the sweetness was not overpowering. It was such a perfectly balanced cup of coffee. I don't know what beans were used as they had multiple bag, but it was delicous. Inside they have a lot of space of studying and catching up. Barista was very helpful and attentive.

Yelp
Got in Pachamama Coffee off a recommendation from a good friend. From them loving their coffee made there, and their whole coffee beans for coffee at home. From this location we've tried a couple of their roasts to take home, and have taken them up on their 3 bags, gets you a free coffee offer. So we've taken three bags of the Pachamama coffee to go, in their large container on several occasions. So far the only things we've tried here is Pachamama's hot and iced Vanilla Latte's. One the first sip of the drinks we noticed how much better the drinks tasted than many other places, and asked what particular blend of coffee and milk they used. And on top of a great coffee that that they're using; with their whole milk option, they're also using better milk from Straus. So, we started using Straus whole milk as our milk of choice when making Espresso drinks at home.

Yelp
Tried this spot for the first time and I will definitely be back! Really quick service! Parking is a little tricky because the parking lot only has spot for about 5 cars so you have to find street parking. Spacious inside to sit and enjoy your drink or work as well. I got the strawberry matcha and it was so tasty! Perfect amount of sweetness! They also have a seasonal menu with blueberry matcha that I need to go back and try!
google avatar

Larissa L.

Yelp
+: such a cute coffee shop, very peaceful to do work or study, barista was so sweet and nice! -: small parking lot but understandable since it's in downtown so had to park a few streets away. I was under the impression that they sold food but maybe I didn't see it on the menu? Cups are inconvenient, not a fan of the closing lid. It made my friends coffee spill on her. Just wasn't really convenient...

Yelp
One of our absolute favorite coffee shops in Sacramento! My mom and I rotate between here and Old Soul almost every Saturday morning before heading to the farmers market. The atmosphere is always welcoming, and coffee is so rich in flavor. It's the perfect spot to kick off our weekends - highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great local café!

Yelp
Love to see a business that has decent prices, great healthy coffee and actually gives a shit about its purpose. Mother Earth says it all.
google avatar

Kris H.

Yelp
From the Earth Mother (Pachamama) into your hand, the coffee is pretty good with some good selections. I didn't find the environment inside very welcoming and the staff was lethargic. Once barista warmed up as I asked questions about some of the drinks however none of them I saw served looked anything like the pictures on Yelp. I was going to get the peach cold brew but once I saw someone in front of me order it and it come out, I tried something else instead.

Yelp
Wow! This was my first time visiting a Pachamama location. I was looking for a local cafe to grab a quick pick-me-up in between classes. I'm so glad I came across this one! I've been obsessed with matcha recently and had to try the seasonal Strawberry Matcha. Hands down the best matcha I've had. It was recommended by the barista, who was super welcoming off the bat. It was a bright and quiet environment with tons of seating. Free wifi was available along with outlets. I can't wait to try more of the menu and spend more work time here!

L M.

Yelp
Love their Espresso beans. Always freshly roasted. Each time I buy a bag, I get a free latte. So delicious!
google avatar

Alysa C.

Yelp
Pachamama is one of my favorite coffee shops to study at! I've always enjoyed their lattes but have been really liking their seasonal menus. Most recently, I've enjoyed their strawberry oat matcha. Parking is limited so it's better for a quick stop rather than staying at to study. But there's ample space indoors if you do decide you want to study!
google avatar

Gillian A.

Yelp
I haven't really delved into the coffee scene in Sac and honestly I'm a bit overwhelmed lol. So many options! Decided to check out this particular coffee spot this time. The cold brew tasted pretty standard but the cardamom rose latte, one of the current seasonal drinks, was a real treat! The cardamom and rose flavors in the latte complemented really well with each other. Very floral taste altogether and as its menu description says it's the perfect spring drink (or at least latte specifically). I got it iced but I think it's better hot; I was running errands and I was enjoying the drink more the warmer the drink got. I visited here on a Sunday morning. Super chill vibes. Nice-looking communal seating room with a lot of natural lighting. Finding parking wasn't much of a problem; the tiny lot right out front was filled but I found easy street parking within really close walking distance. Overall recommend checking out this coffee spot. The seasonal drink that I ordered was genius and I'm really curious about the other ones on the same menu now!
google avatar

Greg C.

Yelp
I don't live in this town so I don't know too much about what is here, but I came into this place once and I really liked it. The staff was very knowledgeable, friendly and helpful which goes a long way when you're buying somewhat expensive cups of coffee. I like to give smaller companies, my business as opposed to big retailers or nationwide chains whenever possible. But the deciding factor is whether it's good and it was.
google avatar

Kristen P.

Yelp
I like this place but it's quite expensive. An average size mocha cost me $7.72. I kniw food is insanely expensive and going out is crazy expensive but I'm pretty sure that's the most expensive mocha I've had. My philosophy for a flavored espresso drink is that I ordered it because I wanted something with flavor and a mocha is supposed to be chocolatey. The mocha I had was meh. I will say they have some really cool flavored lattes, including olive. I also like to have a little snack with my coffee. They had some amazing looking scones but that was the only option this morning. The service on the other hand was great! Plenty of people working, all friendly and helpful. The vibe there is nice, plenty of seating, across the street from a cool comic book shop, just by the farmers market, they highlight their farmers and they even have a really cool looking space to rent inside. I definitely enjoyed my experience.
google avatar

Marisa P.

Yelp
Coffee is really good! I wish they had food. They have pastries, but not much when we went. The place is cute and I would come back if I'm in the area and need a coffee pick-me-up.
google avatar

Mike L.

Yelp
Visited Sacramento for a few days & this was the first coffee shop I tried. Needless to say, it became my go-to java joint while in town. The coffee is high quality & their shops have a great ambiance. Highly recommended!
google avatar

Kristen H.

Yelp
Cool spot with decent coffee. Dog friendly, they have peanut butter milk bones. Coffee is OK but the price is steep so between those two things can't give five stars. Dutch Bros taste better and is cheaper. Sorry but DB is the standard all coffee must live up to in my book. I appreciate pro dog businesses though always. And free WiFi which should be a necessity at every coffee shop these days.
google avatar

Katherine K.

Yelp
Such a nice coffee shop. Menu is super straight forward and they offer drink/coffee specials which I ended up trying out. I ordered the iced Strawberry matcha. Really good. Not overly sweet at all. Amazing matcha flavor with a hint of strawberry. Service was fairly quick considering how many ppl were there ordering. I also did like how they had additional seating towards the back which is nice if you felt like staying for a bit to hangout and drink your coffee. Parking can be a bit tricky. They have a very small lot which probably 3-4 spots. So you'll have to find street parking.
google avatar

Sarah-Lorraine L.

Yelp
WHY WE WENT HERE: - friend visiting from out of town has been on a coffee shop kick and this was a spot she was interested in us checking out together after we did some self-care THE LOOK (FROM THE OUTSIDE): - straight shot down the street (2 miles) of Sac State - located on the corner of J St and Dolores Way - parking lot is super limited, but there is some street parking available - limited outdoor seating; love the mural logo THE LOOK (FROM THE INSIDE): - SUPER CUTE and various merchandise available - love the colors used in the merch and the interior decorating - you order from the front counter and there is some wall seating available by the front counter but if you walk through a corridor there is a large room with loads of seating - quiet but seating good for if you're solo, or with a group (big or small) THE MENU: - organic espresso - organic coffee - winter menu WHAT I ORDERED: - Pacha Chai with oat milk THE TASTE: - loved the cinnamon notes; warm and comforting CUSTOMER SERVICE: - solo worker at the time we visited but he made it all happen with everyone's orders
google avatar

Lisa C.

Yelp
My partner and I got their creme brûlée maple latte and a maple oat latte, the total came out to be $14. The gentleman making my coffee was strange, he called my name and then when I asked if this is the creme brûlée oat latte, he said yes but that he forgot to add some things and started tossing in syrup and sugar on top and basically called it a day and went onto making the next drink. For such an expensive coffee shop, I was expecting he'd offer to remake it considering there was nothing creme brûlée about it and that it was made incorrectly. Tsk tsk. These days just feels like customer service has gone down, while prices are going up and up.

Rob H.

Yelp
One of my favorite coffee places over the years. Simple, clean and uncluttered. As it is not far from my home (now) I expected to drop in regularly, however my transportation being a bike most of the time I now go elsewhere for the want of a place to lock up my property. I rode by today hoping to be surprised, but no luck. I'll certainly be back but not nearly as frequently as I'd like.
google avatar

Julie T.

Yelp
Good coffee and good espresso beverages. Interesting options as well. The wifi is as reliable and fast as being at home or work. Love this place.
google avatar

Celeste L.

Yelp
There is a downtown location of my favorite cafe! I adore this location. The coffee is excellent, the pastries are delicious, and they are really welcoming. However, I shouldn't eat so many of them.
google avatar

Linda D.

Yelp
This is one of my favorite cafes and locations! They are a staple in the Sacramento area. There is parking available but it's a very small lot, however, there's street parking available too. There are beans and merch to purchase. I tend to come here often due to accessibility and ease coming off the freeway and parking. There is also a seasonal menu that does change so be sure to stop on by for rotating drinks. My favorite off the winter menu is now the Salted Dulce de Leche. It was very smooth, buttery and creamy. Mine was ordered with oat milk. Bonus, oat milk is considered standard at all their cafes! I wasn't able to stay & sip like I usually do but if you get the chance, they have a seating area with a gorgeous mural & great lighting. You can stay to meet with friends, do some work, study or enjoy your morning.

Gericho R.

Yelp
One of our top five fave coffee shops in Sac. Their quality is great, their business model is exemplary and their specialty seasonal drinks are well thought out! Their sweeteners are mostly all natural, and they have multiple choices for their milks. They are still reasonably priced and the service is great. They welcome dogs so that's a plus for us.
google avatar

Casey R.

Yelp
I'm extremely fortunate to work at City Hall and have access to COFFE just a 30-second elevator trip away from my job! Excellent coffee. I typically order an iced coffee or a mocha. Sabrina always has interesting things to say. And the Caprese is great if I need a sandwich!
google avatar

Masami L.

Yelp
I love visiting many different cafes. Before I go I do research and decide to go. Cups color and photos are my kind of taste. I went and I was right. Honey latte was good! Inside seating room was big and quiet. Recommend this cafe.
google avatar

Ashley C.

Yelp
Today was my first time back to this location in many years. Parking is still a little bit difficult on this particular street but we got lucky since it was mid morning on a weekday. They must have expanded this location because I don't remember there being so much seating in a separate room next to the main counter! It's a very nice spacious room with lots of natural light. Perfect for meeting a friend or getting some work done. Today I ordered the maple brulee latte off of the fall seasonal menu. It was so good! A perfect balance of creamy and sweet with the coffee. Also I LOVE that they don't charge for alternative milk choices here! From an oat or soy milk fan and my lactose intolerant husband, it's much appreciated! The baristas today here were also super nice and I've never been disappointed by customer service at Pachamama!

Yelp
The coffee is really delicious. Friendly to your pets. It's cute. There are many cozy places I'll be back!
google avatar

Yelp
Solid little place. Super local, super dedicated to the small business. Location is directly in the lovely east sac. Lots of open seating, very simple design. The coffee and lattes are amazing. The flavor of their beans is so unique and amazing. It's like a completely new coffee I was introduced to at 35. Highly recommend trying their lattes.

Anthony R.

Yelp
Great spot for coffee in the morning! I came here with my girlfriend and I needed a pick me up for the morning. This was a coffee shop in our list to try. Upon entering, Pachamama was open, clean and so welcoming to be in their coffee shop. They use organic products and shoes the kind of beans used for their drinks. They welcomed us and ready to assist for our order and questions about the menu I got the Cinnamon and Honey Latte, which is very similar to their Honey Bear. Honey and cinnamon flavor forward without being overpowered. I loved the flavor combo, takes me back to my childhood eating honey bears and mol

Yelp
The perfect working cafe! The place is very spacious and well lit with fast wifi. There are plenty of tables and chairs. Staff are very friendly and service is fast. I love all the different latte options on the menu! I tried the vanilla bean latte and the seasonal gingerbread brûlée latte. Both lattes were flavorful and not overly sweet. The coffee notes were nutty and smooth. I also tried the chocolate cream cheese muffin and it was very moist. It was a delicious snack to have during work. Will definitely come back and try out other lattes on the menu!
google avatar

Brooke B.

Yelp
Get the GINGERBREAD BRÛLÉE LATTE! This was the best latte I've ever had. Got it without the maple syrup and with almond milk, it was to die for. I would go back everyday if I lived in Sacramento! Hope they keep this on the menu year round it's so good. Service was also super friendly and open to making substitutions
google avatar

Sue-Jin Y.

Yelp
Pachamama has such lovely, friendly, and cheerful baristas. I wish they offered more foods here since they have such a large study/coworking space in the adjacent room. The space can get loud though since there are people just meeting for coffee, taking calls, etc. My drinks are always so good. Good flavor profiles, roasty, and the baristas are always willing to fit the drink to your tastes. The only thing that SUCKS, is the parking. Get here early, or be prepared to street park.
google avatar

Courtney P.

Yelp
On a cold and cloudy afternoon, I was looking for something warm to soothe my soul and decided to stop at Pachamama Coffee for a Matcha green tea latte. I love that they offer a variety of milk alternatives for those of us with sensitivities to dairy. The oat milk Matcha green tea latte was earthy and had the perfect level of sweetness. It hit the spot and is exactly what I was looking for on, my cozy afternoon.

Yelp
My original review still stands. Best coffee, vibe and service, in the game. Consistently delivers the smoothest, most satisfying cup of coffee. The most homey, charming ambiance. And the best, most hospitable service. Team Pacha all day every!

Yelp
Overall thoughts- Cute casual coffee shop with nice staff in the East Sac area. 6.5/10 Coffee. My mom and I ordered a Honeybear Latte and Maple Brulee Latte to try. I can say with confidence that the Maple Brulee is significantly better than the honey bear in terms of depth and flavor. Something about the maple really brought out the coffee flavor. The Honeybear tasted very milky and much more light. 6.7/10 Ambiance. This is a no frills coffee shop that serves decent coffee. Very casual setting with a touch of modern aesthetic. The order area is small, but there is an entry way that leads to a large seating area. Not too busy when I went on a Sunday morning. I ordered coffee togo and the barista made a beautiful design but then pushed a lid on my cup. I would suggest to leave the cap open for photos before closing the lid :)
google avatar

Miss Maggie C.

Yelp
They have a cute seasonal menu but if you're a regular, you can still order old seasonal items that aren't on the menu if you remember them. This was my first time here and it was a cute little shop with a large seating area inside and a couple small tables outside. I got the honey bear latte! It had beautiful latte art and had a small hint of honey and cinnamon, which was super tasty! Loved the decor in the shop too. A lot of the other items on the menu sounded great too, so would definitely come back to try the other items.

Yelp
Yesterday morning I went to a women's group meeting at Pachamama Coffee. From the outside the coffee shop does not look very large but once you enter you immediately see additional seating through a separate set of doors to the right. As soon ass I entered I was immediately greeted by the staff. The menu is short and sweet, they serve tea, and they also serve various pastries. I noticed they are pet-friendly. Our group sat at a set of tables that were pushed together to accommodate us but there was plenty of other seating for more customers. Pachamama also had more seating for another large party. The wi-fi is free and the ambience was perfect for polite conversation. I would definitely go back to Pachamama.

Yelp
I was in town visiting a friend and she took me to this cute hole in the wall coffee shop. I love exploring coffee shops and the moment I walked in, I absolutely fell in love with the vibe and atmosphere. There was a mix of students and local families/residents in the shop. We went on a Friday morning and it was not super packed. There was a seasonal winter menu which was a pleasant surprise as this allowed us to choose from drinks different than the typical coffee menu that can be found in any shop. As I was new to this place, I asked the cashier what his suggestion was and he recommended the lavender drink from the menu, which is the one I ended up getting. Overall, the drink was not super sweet and I loved the hint of lavender in it which was not overall strong. There is plenty of seating inside and outlets if you bring your computers. Overall, a great customer service experience, a good choice of drinks to choose from I would recommend to stop by this shop if you are in town! They also sell some neat cups, thermoses and different flavors to roasted coffee beans.

Yelp
-Great coffee place to study/work! Lots of tables and outlets. -has lil private parking lot -got peppermint mocha! Kinda pricy but it was pretty tasty (coming from a not coffee obsessed person) -not much food/pastry options
