Yelp
While we're not Peruvian food experts, we've tried this place a few times..
-The Guacamole: 4 stars
(was freshly made & comes with a small bag of tortilla chips)
-The Chicken: 3 ish stars
We were a little disappointed in their chicken. Don't get us wrong, it was good, but the breast meat could have been a little more tender.
Plus, $26 for a whole chicken, that basically tasted like super-market rotisserie chicken, but with a more exotic rub, seems a little over priced to us. (But they do atleast give you a huge serving of steamed veggies, a side salad, and 3 decent sized mayo-based dipping sauces. The green sauce tasted bright & herbal, the pink one was spicy, & the yellow one more neutral)
- The Ribs: 2 stars
We were very disappointed in their babyback ribs.
The sauce was watery, with a mediocre flavor, and the rib meat was mushy yet somehow also tough. They tasted like they were boiled or just thrown in the oven. No char. No smoke. Nothing special in the least. (They tasted more like cheap ribs you'd get in some ghetto convenience store. ) Even though the full rack was only $22, we would never buy these again.
-The Fries: 3-4 stars
While I didn't eat the fries that came with the ribs, my husband said they were good.
- The Staff: 3-4 stars
Pleasant to neutral. Efficient, and our take out orders have always been ready on time, with no mistakes.
- Vibes: 3-4 stars
Casual, clean, and the historic Riverfront Market is mellow & charming. (While you're waiting for your food, you can go upstairs & look at large photos on the wall that show what WIlmington was like 100 yrs ago. Plus, there are plenty of tables in the food court area.)
