I have not been here since I was a kid for a family party so I was excited to come back. When we walked in, it feels like you are boarding an old fashioned train. It is nice and quiet and feels very cozy. The wait staff is great and very polite. The food did not disappoint. While it is expensive, you get what you pay for when you taste it. The portions are large and the wine selection is great. I love how they are open 24 hours so if you want to get food or drinks at any time of the day you can.

Been coming here for years - a consistently good fine dining experience. We go for their steaks - cowboy steak is our fave. It's a bone-in rib-eye. Their sweet potato fries are delicious. Like their creamed spinach and lobster mac n cheese. It's open 24 hours so one of the few places on the westside for a late sit down dinner. Always good wait staff. They have a less expensive late night menu.

Hmmm. Lots of mixed things; old school, wood paneled, old LA clientele but all were aged (we were some of the youngest there) the servers were evenly divided between professional and totally not (one was wearing an overcoat). The cost of the food is absurdly high but the late night menu cost is much more reasonable. Their baseball steak is unique and well worthwhile. They had real lobster Macaroni and cheese, very rich, too rich for me but delicious.

This place is old school and that's a good thing. Great service, excellent food and phenomenal ambiance. I started with the crab cakes and they full of crab not filled with a bunch of bread crumbs or filler. The tartar sauce is house made and delicious. I ordered the cowboy steak and it was cooked perfectly. I got grilled mushrooms and onions on the side and I was in heaven. Got an order of lobster mac and cheese for the table and it had large chunks of lobster in it and was creamy with a nice crispy top. No complaints as it was a perfect evening.

Pacific Dining Car has served delectable delights since 1921. The ambience is regal, comfortable and elegant. Steeped in tradition, the service is impeccable. Appetizers of duck pate & kale salad, next we enjoyed a perfectly prepared medium rare steak, lobster, scallops and shrimp served with greens and cajun rice. We had the audacity to order the decadent bread pudding and sumptuous moist chocolate cake for dessert. To stuffed to exit, we lingered over a fresh brewed deep roasted cup of java. Pacific Dining Car is a "lost art" in LA. Open 24 hours & still serves the best breakfast @ 2am. An epicurean delight!

Fascinating throwback of a place. Food is average and expensive and G&T was weak but the architecture is impressive. I would go back again because I can’t afford a time machine.

Amazing place. Lost in time, silent and creepy. Almost as though the staff are ghsots. It's hard to explain. Food pretty terrible but well worth the visit. Very well mannered staff.
