I recently found out I was charged $197 for a phone call… I don’t even know what call it would have been being my only calls were to make additional appts. I came for cortisone shots and was convinced to take a “fully covered by insurance” allergy test which I was charged for. At one point I was asked to make an appt to go to another office across the street for a breast xray which was as per usual off topic for the reason why I went to pacific oaks. Lastly I was charged without authorization several months after hearing/not visiting the office $265.77. I tried to communicate with the office but no response then received a text/calls months later asking for more appts & when I mentioned the charge was yet again ghosted.

Run, run, run! I need to warn everyone about Dr. Joseph. My experience with him has completely ruined my life. I went to him for a benign tumor on top of my toenail. He barely looked at it and immediately started talking about my ankle. Seven years ago I sprained that ankle, and it only ever bothered me occasionally after long hikes, nothing serious. Three weeks after my first visit, I was scheduled for surgery. I wish I had gotten a second opinion. Every appointment was rushed. All he cared about was paperwork, forms that were all about signing permission to use my image on social media and to record me. He also made inappropriate comments about my appearance and my relationship, and never explained anything. Five minutes before surgery, he casually told me he was having trouble with my insurance and might not even get paid. Then he pushed PRP on me and demanded $1,500 immediately. I was terrified and had no time to think. After surgery, I woke up in excruciating pain. He never checked on me. He didn’t speak to my husband. Staff shoved me into a wheelchair and sent me out to the parking lot. I was taking painkillers every other hour just to survive, and when I told him the pain was unbearable, he brushed it off as normal. He even made me go to acupuncture with his colleague for $200 a session, which did nothing. Later, I found out the truth from other doctors. I never needed ankle surgery. The MRI never suggested it. The implant he put in was completely unnecessary. He didn’t even remove the extra bone. He literally opened my ankle, added an implant for “stabilization,” and closed it again. My ankle is now worse than ever. Seven months later, I’m in constant pain. I can’t work, I can’t exercise, my income is cut in half, and my life is destroyed. Many other patients report the same thing, rushed, unnecessary surgeries, repeated procedures, billed to insurance. This isn’t a mistake. It’s a pattern. Avoid this clinic at all costs.

I love coming here every two months for my labs and to get tested. Dr. Téllez is my Doctor and is honestly the best Primary care physician I’ve ever had. He explains everything to me clearly and always checks to see if i have any questions. I think what I find most important is because he makes me feel comfortable I share everything with him, which I have not done in the past. Also Eddie is the best! He always has fly shoes on and he’s always wearing a smile when he walks me back!

I’ve been a primary care patient at Pacific Oaks for a couple years now and I’ve had a fantastic experience. Literally the best doctors, medical staff and office staff! They are so thorough and knowledgeable and professional. I actually look forward to every appointment! Special shoutout to Dr. Tellez—I couldn’t ask for a better doctor—but I’ve interacted with everyone at this point and it’s such an incredible team overall. Cannot recommend enough.

I've been using Pacific Oaks for over a decade. Their service and great attitude from the staff is what's kept me coming back. It's never been hard to schedule an appointment and they're fast with getting my prescriptions filled. My only critique is an annual service charge they instituted a few years ago. I'm not a fan of it but all doctor offices seem to have jumped on that bandwagon.

Had the appointment scheduled for 3 weeks. Called them day before my appointment to confirm that my insurance was going to be accepted they said yes. Called me an hour before the appointment asking for my insurance info? Then told me I’d have to pay cash if they didn’t hear back from insurance. The appointment was on the books and they confirmed so like??? I took a day off work and drove an hour only for them to cancel 10 minutes before the appointment. No one apologized. Just so rude and like what an awful way to run a practice. Don’t go.

No- I’m sorry but you didn’t change my appointment with my consent. You then blamed me but i have text to confirm the appointment. Time stamped today! I filled out the paperwork online. Then they can’t see me. I researched the doctor I wanted. Don’t bother. They blamed me. Ok so yes the schedulers need some updating. But the doctor and allergist were spot on. I recommend doctor O’Brien and team! Did you know you can literally be allergic to everything? Also Doc O’Brien was absolutely wonderful, personable and listened to me.

This was my first visiting Dr. Tellez at Pacific Oaks as I just changed my medical insurance and needed a new primary care physician. He and the front office staff were fantastic. It was easy to check in. The wait time wasn’t long and I was kindly greeted by who I believe was the assisting nurse who took my vitals/did my lab work. Dr. Tellez listened to all of my current concerns and offered various solutions for everything. I’m definitely looking forward to my next appointment with him. :) Oh and there’s plenty of metered parking out front and you can pay online to add more time.

I highly recommend Dr Joseph. I'm extremely impressed with Dr. Joseph and his staff is equally impressive. Their knowledge is fantastic, but he has exceptional bedside manners and shows and explains precisely what is happening and what the results will be. I went in for an ankle injury exam that I sustained years ago that ultimately was mis-diagnosed by another doctor. An MRI indicated substantial tears on all 3 outer ligaments. We scheduled the surgery and went through various pre-op exams due to my age. Surgery went great. I utilized PRP to help with the recovery, which I recommend. We all just need to find out why our insurance, such as UHC, doesn't cover it. My recovery pain was manageable. I was in a boot for about 4 weeks and stitches in for five because of the surgery location. The recommendations for a wash boot and knee scooter was a game changer to help keep mobile and clean.

I found myself at Pacific Oaks Medical Group as my partner sees Dr. Jack O'Brien and has had a great experience with him and the team there. I even popped into one of his appts and got to witness the thorough and friendly care. I had my first appointment today with David Boyd and it was a great experience. He tuned in to my medical history and my present and future concerns with curiosity, professionalism, and kindness. He made recommendations that made sense and delivered those ideas graciously. The woman who did my bloodwork was nice and did everything gently! I feel like I am in good hands. Thank you!

I've been seeing Dr. William Flores for over 10 years, and I can honestly say he's one of the best doctors I've ever had. Throughout the years, he has consistently provided compassionate, thoughtful, and thorough care. From day one, he made me feel comfortable and listened to, and that has never changed. He takes his time during appointments, explains things in a way that's easy to understand, and always makes sure all my questions are answered. Dr. Flores truly cares about his patients as individuals. He's not only professional and knowledgeable, but also kind and approachable, which makes every visit a positive experience. Nurse/Physician Assistant Emily is always warm, friendly, and incredibly attentive. she makes every visit feel easy and comfortable. Her kindness and professionalism truly stand out, and she goes above and beyond to make patients feel cared for. The staff at pacific oaks is friendly, helpful, and always respectful of your time. The office itself is clean and well-organized, and scheduling appointments is always easy. After 10 years of care, I completely trust his judgment and recommendations. It's rare to find a doctor who is both excellent in his medical practice and genuinely kind.

Highly disappointed patient here. I am quite satisfied with my doctor but scheduling an appointment should not be this hard! They keep saying that they are short-staffed but even scheduling on the website is not reliable with all the glitches they have been experiencing lately! No one ever answers the phone nor returns your call. It is not normal to not be able to have an appointment confirmed in 2025 within a few hours. A few months ago I had an urgent question, I was never able to reach anyone so my friend called her own doctor, his assistant picked up the phone immediately and I was able to get an answer within an hour. This is how other offices work! And I'm not even going to mention the parking rates! Time to find a more professional practice...

I referred a client to Pacific Oaks to Dr Flores. The front desk required an Eligibility documents from a brand new customer with UnitedHealthcare's Medicare advantage plan. The front desk wanted my client to talk with the medical group and get forms, and then choose another doctor. When I called Pacific Oaks and told the woman who answered that my client is brand new to Dr Flores (has Medicare) and we selected Dr Flores as his his PCP and that Dr Flores is contracted for the UHC 004P HMO Plan, and that my customer just needs an appointment for his first visit; she refused to help us until my customer jumped through hoops. In 15 years of selling Medicare plans, I've never had anyone come across this request. So we called UnitedHealthcare and changed PCP's.

I wrote back in 2018 of my satisfaction w/ Dr. Scarsella, who has since passed away. Afterwards I had good experiences w/ Dr. Alijajian, who now left to work with APLA heath. Presently, I really enjoy the professionalism and kindness of Dr. Tellez. They're three-for-three in my book... and I'm a healthcare administrator, so I've seen how good and how bad medical providers can be. I've had three good ones in a row at Pacific Oaks. And Lou, at the front desk, is fantastic too.

Marcus Tellez and staff are amazing.. I never have to wait very long after I check in for my appointment and always given the best care.. : ))

Dr. Davies has been looking after me for years, and has given me a chance at having a fairly decent life while suffering from intractable pain. I would highly recommend him to anyone in need of brilliant evaluation of their issues, and compassionate treatment. On top of that if you have to visit the Office or call, they are the most welcoming and compassionate staff I have ever dealt with. Doctor was amazing, gentle hands for a crybaby like me! I was not ready to hear all the things wrong with my foot, but was glad that he had a plan to make it better.

Professionalism is second to none. Follow up & communications via efficient electronic mediums and human phone calls. Any necessity to reach my doc outside of the scheduled appointment (during business hours) goes through skilled staff who accurately, timely & professionally handle inquiries incredibly quickly. Highly recommend this office.

I'm still getting the runaround from this office for a $94 refund. I just spoke with them and they said the refund request was sent in on 4/8 and so I shouldn't follow up with them for at least two weeks. My first call to them was on 3/17 - so it took three weeks for them to even submit the request and they're telling me to not follow up with them for at least two weeks? Again, avoid this office...it's not worth the hassle.

Will Flores has been my Dr asst at POMG for more than 8 years. The level of care and follow up has remained consistent with him in all those years. However I've been with POMG for more than 30 years. Needless to say they have my trust.

It is very difficult to get a return call from this business I wasn't sure why I had a visit with Nurse Boyd today. I was 6 minutes late that is my fault I wanted to talk about Trezipitide but there wasn't time to talk about it much He is a pretty focused guy and seems to want to get his own agenda done and move onto the next patient I made another appointment with a Dr who has a bit more personal touch But he is knowledgeable and effective

The type of care I receive is personalized. The care quality of the staff and Doctor is crucial to my well being.My experience with the office staff upon check , review and check out was quick and easy. Thank you

As a long term patient of Will Flores PA, I am flabbergasted . Front desk made an error in appointments and never accept responsibility , when questioned they were rude. .the last couple of appointments I had to wait 2+ hrs, I voiced my opinion to Will Flores, I'm also not happy with the nickel and diming , $10 for a signature pulease. So, yesterday I recieved mail form pac oaks, they dropped me, as Will Flores wrote, "we no longer have a therapeutic relationship" Seriously we are not allowed to voice our concerns. I can't even call , they have blocked me on the phone lines. If this is how they treat a patient of many many years, I've been followimg Will from office to office at least 15 yrs, I thought we were friends .

I love the care and attention that Pacific Oaks has given me over the years. Dr. Scarsella was my doctor for many years and since his passing I have seen Will Flores who I value a great deal due to his attention to detail and the care he shows each time I visit. Dr. Tellez has a charming and relaxing manner of care, even during telemedicine calls. Today, I left the call feeling energized and proud to be cared for by him and the entire group at Pacific Oaks Medical Group. In a city as large as this one, that is no small task.

Pacific Oaks has such great staff. Starting with receptionist always polite and understanding. They do try to help when they are able whenever life happens. I primarily see Will Flores love how detail he is when I see him in person and telemed. It helps that he gives you options that help with your needs. Love all the type of care that doctors bring.

Always such an excellent service. I have seen Dr. Tellez for a couple of years and he is always real and offers great care.

Dr. Davies care team were excellent and attentive. Dr. Davies took the time to listen to my concerns and explained what the next step should be in my care.

While I really enjoyed my care from David Boyd, I wouldn't recommend this medical office due to their messy, messy billing department, which by the way is just an outsourced low wage off shore call center. Incredibly infuriating to raise billing problems and concerns with. Just read all the other low star reviews about their billing dept and stay away. They WILL mess up for your billing and they WILL be virtually impossible to get a hold of or communicate properly with. Not worth the headache. After a year with them I am finding new care.

I've been a patient at Pacific Oaks since 1994. I've always received the excellent, caring healthcare from Pacific Oaks and hope the trend continues in the future. I'm not so keen on their new appointment system and I definitely expect someone to pick up the phone when I call. This really bothers me and I hope they move on from that strategy because it is bad. Niggles aside, I am happy with the care I receive but hope they can make it easier for patients to contact them in the future.

Pacific Oaks Medical Group has been taken care of me for over 20 years. They are always attentive and listen to their patients. I highly recommend Dr. Tellez and David Boyd. They are excellent to work with.

I can't say enough wonderful things about Dr. Robert Joseph and his team. I brought my daughter Sophia in after she ripped out an ingrown toenail, which led to a painful infection. She was scared and in a lot of discomfort, and as a mom, I just wanted her to be seen quickly and cared for properly. Dr. Joseph's office got us scheduled immediately -- I was shocked at how fast they made it happen! When we arrived, there was absolutely no wait time. We went straight from check-in to the exam room, which was such a relief with a nervous child. Dr. Joseph was incredible with her -- gentle, patient, and so attentive. He explained everything in a way she could understand, and his calm, reassuring demeanor made all the difference. Sophia left smiling, and I left feeling incredibly grateful. If you're looking for a physician who truly cares and provides exceptional care, I can't recommend Dr. Joseph enough. He's a gem!

Dr. Joseph has been absolutely amazing. I definitely did not ask to be in a position to have to see him, so after a nasty injury, he was a real blessing. He's not only confident, super passionate and great at what he does, he truly cares. I don't feel like a burden or a number and have been telling friends and family to see him if they ever need the best care because I am beyond grateful.

From the great office experience to great care, Pacific Oaks Medical Group are great for a person seeking LGBTQ+ care. David Boyd is a caring and currently educated on wound care. He saved a terrible wound from being a terrible problem. His diligence and care with me has been stellar. My wound is healed and continues to be monitored by this wonderful nurse practitioner. Laughter is a strong medicine and Dr. O'Brien is funny as well as knowledgeable and caring. He listens to your needs and concerns and is is detail oriented so he keeps an eye on everything. The entire staff is friendly and efficient making it a pleasure to go to the doctor's office!

He is thorough, extremely knowledgeable, and has completely eased my fear of pap smears--he makes the whole experience feel like a piece of cake. Dr. Joseph is amazing. When I went to his office in Rancho Cuca. CA., I was spectical on what to expect. He's been friendly and straight to the point regarding my foot issue. He has gone above and beyond to help me get back to normal and fix my torn ligaments. I thank him and his staff for everything they've done.
