On the Grid : Pacific Palisades Farmers Market

"While farmers markets are a dime a dozen in Los Angeles, that doesn't make them any less wonderful. They are vital for bringing farm-fresh produce straight to consumers, you can always find the best in-season goods, and there are usually great gourmet food vendors good for breakfast or lunch. All are true here—perhaps especially so with the gourmet food vendors who sell everything from craft salt to hummus in a million varieties. There is also usually a pet rescue in case you want to play with dogs after tasting twelve different varieties of citrus. The Palisades farmers market is open on Sundays from 8am to 1pm." - No Style Studio

Easy to park, great food selection and beautiful flowers including orchids. Wonderful fresh fish.

Lively farmers market with a variety of products!

Relatively easy to park (there's also a structure for $5 an hour). Amazing deals, this is the cheapest farmers market I can find for certain fruits and veggies. 95 cents cheaper than Mar Vista for some of the same vendors so I love it here!! No coffee but there's a Starbucks close. It's in the village but also extends across the street by the park. Lots of great knickknacks but also missing a variety of hot food, soaps and oils, saw one cheese place, but yaknow.... just smaller than most of the others but with a hellavu deal.

Best thing about this market is the tamale stand at the corner of Antioch and via de la Paz

Google
My only critique is it’s not more days or longer hours, there’s energy in the atmosphere, a refreshing clean energy

Pacific Palisades Framers Market is a fun family experience. The market always has new interesting local food and crafts. It’s generally very busy in the morning complete with a fun and festive energy. Take your little ones and spend an hour walking around and I am sure you will find more than a few treats to take home.

2 main attractions are Brothers Humus which is the best I've ever had. Do yourself the favor and get the Garlic Jalapeno. No big company can compete with their stuff. I go 2x a month and always stock up for a week or 2. The Gourmet Empanadas are also a fan favorite. The Chicken is great but as a new vegetarian for a few months now I get the same great taste and fulfillment from the mushroom and cheese. Dont forget to get extra salsa much like a pesto sauce that pairs perfectly with this amazing treat.

So much to choose from. Berries were fantastic. Vegetables were all fantastic. Only bad thing purchased was the corn on the cob. There was a woman that specializes in succulent planters that are so beautiful. She even does gardens.

Yelp
Such a nice farmer's market! From pastries, to fresh flowers, fancy mushrooms and locally made jewelry, there is no shortage of vendors to explore. I've visited this market before and I made a mental note of how nice the produce was. During my most recent visit, it was just as amazing. The strawberries were INCREDIBLE. Aside from ogling over the fresh and colorful produce, the smell of the fresh flowers throughout the market is heavenly. You can find everything you need here to make a full meal and more. They even have vendors who sell homemade dog treats and soaps. The layout of the farmer's market was confusing to me at first, but it stretches across two different streets separated by a crosswalk. It was easy to wheel a stroller around, as it wasn't too crowded. Only service dogs are allowed within the market. There are lots of local eateries, coffee shops etc. around the market so you can really make a full morning of it. If you are in the area, highly recommend checking it out and picking up some delicious local goodies.

Yelp
One of my most favorite farmers markets in LA! I love the vibe of Pacific Palisades! Its beautiful, chill, close to the beach and you can find almost everything. I usually get my weekly flower from them, they are fresh and last at least a week. Their freshly made shakes are also wonderful and healthy. Everyone is extremely friendly and chatty. Highly suggest this farmers market.

Yelp
Absolutely my favorite market in LA. I typically end up here after a Sunday morning hike and am never disappointed. The best strawberries I've had come from here. There are also neat restaurants in the market that make for a good mid shopping snack. Always a pleasant experience and never too crowded.

Yelp
Great selection of local folks selling various things! A balance of produce, baked goods, some items and flowers. Produce seemed fresh and clean. Lovely environment to walk around and there are some nice places to sit nearby.

Yelp
Pacific Palisades Farmers Market is a delightful weekend spot for fresh produce and locally sourced goods. The variety of fruits, vegetables, and artisanal products is impressive, and everything is incredibly fresh and flavorful. I especially love picking up organic berries and farm-fresh eggs. Beyond the produce, there are delicious baked goods, flowers, and unique handcrafted items that make it a fun experience for the whole family. The market has a laid-back vibe, and it's a great way to support local farmers and vendors. Parking can be a bit of a challenge, but the quality of the products and the friendly atmosphere make it worth it!

Yelp
I have to say this is one of the nicest farmers markets in Southern California. [Hours]: Sunday from 8 AM to 2 PM. [Parking]: Easy self-parking via Palisades Village underground parking garage (entrance via Palisades Village Ln & the parking garage elevator will take you up to Erewhon). Rate is $2 for the first hour and $2 for every half-hour up to $20 max. Free with validation from manager (according to the website) or validation is offered at select retailers (e.g. Erewhon Market offers 1-hour free parking with validation). [Amenities & vendors]: The is one of very few (if not the only one) farmers markets in Southern California with vendors spreading across two streets (one side on N Swarthmore Ave and another side on Antioch St). It was interesting to see animal rights activists brought an actual pig at one of the market entrances and said "she will not be a bacon." There is a good selection and ratio of produces, baked goods, and boutique vendors (e.g. a vendor was selling feathers). A part of the market is conveniently located in Palisades Village and you can just shop at Erewhon Market (a luxury supermarket similar to Whole Foods) if you aren't satisfied with what you see in the farmers market. And yes - anywhere you see a nice farmers market in LA then you will very likely to find Alfred Coffee and this location is no exception. You will also find a popular brunch spot Cafe Vida on Antioch St too. A lovely farmers market with popular brunch shops, luxury retailers, high-end supermarket (as a back up), and easy parking - talk about killing four birds with one stone.

Yelp
Spectacular!!! I went to this FM every Sat for I've 20 years before I left LA. I STRONGLY encourage you to go!!!
google avatar

Yelp
5/5 for moving back to The Village from the High School 5/5 for spreading across two streets 5/5 for Covid safety precautions 4/5 for quality, organic produce and handmade products 2/5 for prices. When we travel to other areas of America, the Farmer's Markets and roadside stands offer quality organic produce at a fraction of the cost of what we pay here. Considering California grows most of those fruits and vegetables for the nation, why are we paying so much? Favorite Vendor: Sweet & Sour Bliss - a local family owned and run small business making organic, small batch foods. Their Fermented Vegetables are outstanding!!!!

Yelp
I absolutely recommend this beautiful farmer's market on a Sunday morning. I love the orchids from the orchid merchant, they last for months.

Yelp
Kind of a family affair to come on a Sunday! Music, and adoptions for cats and dogs are always set up on Sunday. Very small little Farmers Market but vendors always have beautiful to die for goodies. There is something for everyone... Yes, pricy compared to the traditional markets, but so worth it. The fish selections are superb...

Yelp
This is a great farmers market! It is a nice size, not too big, but everything is very high quality. We loved everything we purchased.

Yelp
This Sunday farmers is not up to par compared to Brentwood Sunday farmers market with variety the Aisian couple that sell seafood have the best deals at this market

Yelp
Sometimes, Yelp... it's just nice to hop in the ride and get the hell out of LA. Shit. And it doesn't have to be some place far...but it has to be far enough. Just drive away from the smog, from the drama, from the traffic, from the negativity... from the stupid Trader Joe's parking lots, from the stupid Rapid buses taking up two lanes, from the stupid construction, from the stupid police, from the stupid stupidity... and get fresh air. Hang out somewhere free and relaxing and wonderful and quiet. B. Rene and I love to hop in the ride and make our way down Sunset to The Palisades. Our favorite Sunday stop: The Pacific Palisades Farmers Market. Not too big Not too small Easy parking Great quality May not be the hugest market in SoCal, but it packs a mean punch. Quality breads, cakes, pies, pastries, fruits, vegetables, nuts, etc. And I just LOOOOOOOVE the wide variety of Pluots they have here. I go on a pluot binge like a nut. And B. Rene loves the cake lady vendor who whips up a mean carrot cake. But most of all, we just love to drive away from the main city to a part where no one knows our names. No buses, no construction, no police, no stupidity...but lots of Pluots. And a killer Carrot cake.

Yelp
I shopped here for the first time and was overwhelmed! I love the quality of things sold here! I saw purple carrots (which I don't see at my local farmer's market), which made me want to go all out and create my own version of Chopped at home with the not-so-common ingredients. I was happy to see healthier options as opposed to the stuff that sticks to your insides. I ended up bringing home some gluten-free vegan peanut putter chocolate chip cookies, which in my opinion taste better than normal ones. I learned that if you really want the good stuff, you have to show up early, because it'll be swooped up quickly by the regulars. I was swarmed by paparazzi today because Jennifer Garner was shopping with her kids. It was a bit off-putting and I wish there was a patrol that would just get rid of the vultures. Other than that though, I'm a fan!

Yelp
Always loved this Farmer's market, and the empanada place was one of my favorites. Yesterday, they only had one beef empanada left, so I let my girlfriend have it. She got food poisoning, has been throwing up and having diarrhea starting a few hours after she ate it. I'm very disappointed and would never buy from that empanada stand again.

Yelp
Security would not let me enter the market with my service animal. When asked, I informed him my dog is a certified psychiatric service animal for my anxiety, and he said under 80-A (or 88?) that's classified as an emotional support animal. I let him know that her papers clearly state she's a service animal and I have never heard of that before. I'm pretty sure he was mistaken on emotional support anxiety comfort animal, when she's trained to fetch my medications for in case I have anxiety attacks. Really annoyed that he just blew it off and didn't even ask me what service she provides, just what type and automatically classified her under emotional support when she's not. Had I had an anxiety attack then or there, I could've and will sue next time they give me a problem. "The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) prohibits privately owned businesses that serve the public from discriminating against people with disabilities. These businesses are required to permit access to individuals with disabilities and their service animals. If access is ultimately denied, then the individual should comply, but follow up with the business owner to remedy the situation. Reasonable remedies to ask for include training for employees regarding service animal access, or a sign on the door that confirms that service animals are permitted. If a business owner continues to deny access, then a complaint may be filed with the U.S. Department of Justice." Beware of bringing your animal/service animal within the poorly trained staff here.

Yelp
Please bear in mind this review comes from an Iowan that has one of the largest and best farmers markets in the midwest just steps out her door...now that the disclaimer is out let's began! One of the best farmers markets I have been too. A great balance of size, quality, diversity, and plethora of organic or chemical free produce! I recently discovered this after hiking Temescal Canyon Park. I picked up some white nectarines, strawberries, pluots, morning bun (oh my), croissant and then I also tasted oh so much more....afghan food (that I mentioned I remembered finding in SF and they confirmed they are the same company), pears, raspberries, blackberries...and much, much more! Quite a gem based on diveristy/quality...forget the quaint size everyone harps about!

Yelp
Stocking up on local fruits, vegetables and healthy snacks at Palisades Farmers Market is the highlight of my Sunday morning. I absolutely love exploring the aisles of fresh produce, gluten-free baked goods and florists. There are always interesting new products to buy and delicious free samples to try while walking around. Another great thing about the Palisades Farmers Market is that it's located on a retail street and the stores are open so you can browse trendy clothing and gifts in between snacking on or shopping for produce. My personal favorite spots include Dave's vegan Korean food (definitely try the lotus root, spicy tempeh or gourmet tofus), the kettle corn stand and the great hummus place that is always located in the back corner near Monument Street. Although they run out quickly, I love the churro kettle corn and always try to arrive in time to get a batch. My favorite hummus flavors are the almond kale and cilantro pesto varieties but honestly they are all delicious. Another great place (with hands down the best samples) is the afghani bolani place. The owner is incredibly friendly and always saves a pumpkin bolani and cilantro pesto for me and my boyfriend! I'd definitely check all of these places out! Parking can be tricky because of the new construction, so definitely walk if you live close enough or find a spot on Via de la Paz and walk 2-3 blocks. There is a lot very close to the market and parking is only $5 - so this may be worth it if you plan on buying lots of produce, delicate flowers or heavier items. Pro-tip: arrive before 10:30 for a quieter experience, as many palisades families walk around after having brunch in the area. Also, going earlier means you get the first pick of produce and any unique offerings. Also note that the market closes around 1pm (an hour earlier than the Brentwood Farmers Market).

Yelp
This isn't a huge farmers' market but it has everything you need, and lots of organic produce. I find this setting to be peaceful in a small town way. I find Pacific Palisades as a village appealing for that reason, and if it were not so hideously expensive I would live there. It's those hills that have won me over. I can't get enough of the views of the hills, and I love how they change at different times of day. So I stop at this market often for no reason other than to enjoy the experience. The only drawback here is navigating the narrow aisles. There are no dogs allowed, but it's loaded with kids and strollers. It's often impossible to even move, it gets so tight with stroller gridlock. One star off for stroller madness! Haha.....I must be getting really old...... Check out my photos of colorful yummies.

Yelp
I love this market, there is a great selection of prepared foods and I think all the best farms in the area are here. I've been to many markets around Southern California and I think this one is the most fun and the people are all really nice too. The way the market is laid out is good too with a lot of restaurants close by so you can shop and eat. Parking is sort of downer and it could be bigger, it's kind of crowded but other than that I can't really say anything bad other than that, truly was enjoyable and fun.

Yelp
Just moved to the area and finally had a chance to check out this farmers market. I read the reviews here on yelp so I had high expectations, it did not disappoint! Location: If you are coming from a distance, parking would not be an issue. The market is located in front of the palisades high school so I would suggest parking on Temescal canyon road and walking right over (corner of Temescal and bowdoin). Perfectly sized and organized with produce on the right hand side. There are baked goods, cheeses, meats, seafood, hummus, yogurt, jewelry, clothing, beauty products, basket, tea, orchid, and flower stands to the middle and left aisles. There is also an empanada truck and an amazing Italian coffee tent. A bonus, the market is conveniently located near Temescal gateway park if you want to take a nice hike before shopping. Produce/goods: I could go on forever about the goodies I tried but I will give the highlights. I can't get over the quality and the prices at this market. Organic produce options upon options. Pluots, salad greens, carrots, plums, strawberries, blueberries, blackberries, Brussels sprouts and on. All well priced and fresh. Plenty of samples to boot. This weekend I had the best strawberries of my life, three baskets for SIX DOLLARS people! There was great variety of plums and peaches which we were able to sample before purchasing. Amazing raspberry and almond croissants from the French bakery. Delicious rustic sourdough from the organic bakery. Seriously...Everything we tried was wonderful. As far as the clothing type stands my favorites were a jewelry stand with great pieces for layering. The fair trade baskets made in Ghana were stunning, ill be purchasing one soon to tote my groceries in. Overall: Fantastic variety and quality of products with unbeatable prices. We met the owners, a very down to earth and friendly couple. I really can't get over how lovely they were. All the people at the stands were friendly too. What a wonderful home town feel on top of excellent shopping! Tips: Go early to avoid crowds and heat in the summer. We went at about 8am this past Sunday, not too crowded at all. Don't forget your bags, you'll want to buy a ton. Or purchase a beautiful Ghana made basket from the lovely lady here ;)

Yelp
This is not the closest farmers market to me, but I love this one because: 1. It has the Star Paws animal rescue group with dog adoptions (yay for wet kisses) 2. The best tamales in LA from Corn Maiden As you would expect they have lots of different flowers, fruits, vegetables, and olive oils. They have kettle corn and they have celebrity sightings. Oh, and did I mention they have pet adoptions :-)

Yelp
My favorite Farmers Market. The variety of food is spectacular and the food is pretty healthy. There is fresh squeezed orange juice. There are plenty of flower stands, fresh food, music and so many vendors of all sorts! I love the gourmet empanadas served fresh and hot! Hours are long but parking can be a pain. Worth the patience and helps if you get there early!

Yelp
My favorite thing to do every Sunday morning is the farmers market. I come here every week and get my usual things, Dave's Korean is the best!! Can't get enough of it, also love the bread guy located on the far South East end of the market - i always get my multigrain fresh bread from him. This farmers market doesn't have a ton of food options if you're looking to eat, i only go for shopping but there is a tasty avocado toast pop up. The chips & guac guy - has the best salsas and the best fresh chips!!
google avatar

Moises A.

Yelp
Not a bad choice if you happen to be in the area on a Sunday morning. I was in the area and this was my only excuse for stopping by to check it out. It's probably a one block stretch. Some areas are very tight for pedestrians to navigate through. You can expect to pay at least 25 percent more for produce than you would at a traditional LA based market. The weather felt great on this particular day due to the close proximity to the ocean. Not bad.
google avatar

Sharon Y.

Yelp
Cute farmers market that has a lot of the same vendors as the Brentwood farmers market. If you don't enjoy walking, this farmers market is probably better suited as it is only about a block long. The flip side is that everything is really compacted together and there's not much aisle space, so if you have any claustrophobia issues this is definitely not the market for you. The one advantage to this farmers market over Brentwood is that the nuts vendor has set up shop here (they apparently weren't getting enough business in Brentwood) - if you haven't tried their cinnamon almonds or cashews, you are seriously missing out.
google avatar

Steve W.

Yelp
There's plenty of interesting produce and goodies to discover here. We've found great quality fruit and veggies, but also wonderful breads (i.e. Breadbar), flowers, salts, meats, and treats. And we often stop in to get an amazing croissant at Maison Giraud. You may spot the occassional celebrity with papparazzi trying to take photos-- if so, please let them shop and tell the shutter bugs to scram. Warning: parking can be tricky (street parking only) and it can get crowded.
google avatar

Jason F.

Yelp
One of the greatest aspects of living in the Pacific Palisades is access to the Farmer's Market. Wandering the rows of fresh fruit, vegetables and produce has become one of my favorite things to do. And, I feel healthier just visiting the market. The yogurt and pesto are personal favorites. That is, of course, excluding the fresh orange juice which is so sweet it has converted me into a juice snob and I refuse to drink juice that isn't freshly squeezed. It's also very easy to keep fresh flowers in the house due to the high quality and great mix.

Yelp
I've only been here twice but the first time last year left such a good impression that I always intended to come back. Even though nowadays it is out of the way for me. This is a surprisingly reasonably priced market in the middle of one of the most expensive neighborhoods in Los Angeles. From experience I have found that farmer market prices trend to vary a bit based on where they are located but I could be wrong and it may be the particular vendors there that impact the price. Regardless of actual rational, here you can find a nice array and variety for quite a decent price all around. Of course, if you shop like I do, on inspiration and sensuality, you're sh*t out of luck with your pocket book in the end. Go to the bank nearby and grab a few more bills before you come here because temptation is rife. I came back last Sunday for the second time and realize anew that the layout was efficient and condensed. I see many saying it is a small market but it is actually not, just cleverly laid out to maximize space. Everything you could probably want is here. My favorite fish purveyor in LA markets, Tropical Seafood, anchors the NorthEast corner of the market (his wife works the Brentwood market on Sundays) and I was happy to find a new merchant here as well, Useful Pots. I reviewed him separately I like his wares so much. http://www.yelp.com/biz/useful-pots-calabasas#hrid:G13HbMNNInEUHqPp4vUpAA All in all a pleasant and profitable time was spent here. And if you are a hiker, just a 1/8 mile down the street is the best 3 mile hike in LA that doesn't require you to leave the city limits. Temescal Canyon awaits you http://www.yelp.com/biz/temescal-canyon-gateway-park-pacific-palisades#hrid:IrlkF1kKD8upiKeO167ptA Best to hike before shopping and then hit this market for food, grub and drinks to set you on your way to a perfect Sunday. Or stop at one of the many restaurants all around this quaint little "rich" oasis by the beach. Maybe finish off at the Lake Shrine Temple at the nearby Yogananda Center up the road for a lovely walk around the lake and quiet contemplation in front of Gandhi's ashes before you move into the rest of your Sunday? http://www.yelp.com/biz/self-realization-fellowship-pacific-palisades-3#query:lake%20shrine%20temple Whatever your choice, this market is a great place to get your Sunday on!

Yelp
A great little farmer's market. Small, but it had everything we needed. We stopped by here after breakfast at Mayberry's. A lot of the vendors have booths over at the Brentwood farmer's market as well. While some things might be a little bit pricier, there's an orchid guy who sells HUGE potted orchids for amazingly low prices. Parking wasn't too hard just down the block. A little bit out of our way, but we'll swing by if we're in the neighborhood. By the way, my wife wants to move here now.... I just told her that's fine if we both pick up 2nd and 3rd jobs since we're not trust fund babies...

Yelp
For $3.50 a pound I got what I'm pretty damn convinced are the Best Cherries I Have Ever in my Life Eaten. That price was for both rainier (yellow) and bing (regular burgundy). I bought a bag, said, "You have to taste these," to my girlfriend, and before you know it, we had eaten them all, one by one, standing in the middle of the market. We then went through the rest of the place, which was not huge but very cute and classy, before finishing off by buying another bag to take with us.... the bulk of which we ate in the car shortly after.

Yelp
I hope this review reaches the bad, bad man who stole from one of the vendors. Oh yeah, I saw you Mr. White man, dressed in Khaki pants and a dark polo shirt. While having breakfast with my fiance and his parents at the Village Pantry, I saw you slyly place a few artichokes and carrots among other vegetables into one canvas bag, and then proceed to place different vegetables into a second canvas bag. Conveniently, you dropped the first canvas bag on the floor and only showed your second bag to the vendor. Very clever of you. And, pathetic too, that you are stealing vegetables in Pacific Palisades. These folks work hard for the few dollars you pay for their vegetables. Shame on you! Such fine taste (artichokes) and to stoop so low... Now, on to my review... Gorgeous array of fresh flowers. I particularly liked the sweet peas and the deep orange calla lilies. The strawberries are back in season and are as sweet as can be. Nice greens to choose from. Love me my greens, sauteed with some garlic. Note, this is a smaller market, not like the one in Santa Monica. But it is in the heart of Pali, and its just nice to stroll and people watch, grap a bite or two of the samples, and walk away with a bag of whatever your heart desires. Just please pay for them...

Yelp
OMG! Bacon jam! Get it from this crazy place called mySpoonhead its sooooo good! I dont normally eat meat but i might if i can spread Bacon jam on everything. My son literally cried when his daddy ate the last bite! you wont be disappointed! Also bought a salad dressing called Olive Pimento ate it on a Pan fried eggplant like the guy suggested it was divine!

Yelp
Beautiful flowers with much more a selection than the average farmer's market. Fruit seems to be the main focus, with far less veggies than you usually see. But quite a few stands had yellow raspberries...I didn't even know those existed! Each side of the road is lined with little pali stores and cafes. On a beautiful sunday, this just might be the number one place in LA to go and pretend you are living in the Stepford wives.

Yelp
Excellent farmers market with lots of great juices, balsamic vinegars from Spain and Italy and Napa. All the good things you need - of course with fruit berries and veggies- in one place. I had one of the greatest pesto garlic aiolis in my life. Cute pets for adoption on the side. My only con--- other farmers markets have amazing ready food. I was disappointed to only find ready empanadas and tamales. Hope it changes everytime. Delightful area. Not too many choices to eat in the area however

Yelp
I'm telling you its as good as it gets because it is as good as a Farmers Market will get in West LA. You can knock stars off for the crowdedness and some things are a little more expensive, but it is a great experience and worth the time. Sunday Mornings only. PARKING: There are several residential streets surrounding the market where you can park FREE. Please never pay for parking unless you absolutely cannot walk, there are always residential streets. ******Go to google maps and type in: Swarthmore and Monument, 90272. Then zoom in to see the streets. ---It is on Swarthmore between Sunset and Monument. You can PARK on any of those streets you see on the right side and above the farmers market. Most people will park all the way up Monument, so just turn down Albright. The FLOWERS at this farmers market are great. They are cheap and they LAST, wow they last, they can go weeks if you simply take care of them and change the water. Get the bouquets that have some buds in there that haven't blossomed yet-- by the next week it'll be a whole new bouquet! The greek hummus and dipping mixes there are my favorite part. **Take advantage of the taste-testing. People watching is great too. Saw Jennifer Garner with child one Sunday.

Yelp
I love how one of the reviewers called this farmers market "small" - as someone who grew up and lives in New Jersey, I have never been to such a large farmers market! My gosh! I was totally floored by the selection of beautiful produce in January - ripe strawberries, blueberries, blackberries, citrus, apples, grapes, greens, etc. I couldn't stop taking pictures of all the beautiful fruits and vegetables! In addition, I loved checking out the selection of artisinal food items and prepared foods. All the vendors I spoke to were so friendly, and I got to try so many free samples. I loved the neighborhood too. Parking is free on Sundays, and most of the local boutiques and cafes are open. It was a great little Sunday diversion while I was visiting the area for vacation. Highly recommended!

Yelp
Bottom line at the top: cramped space, but great offerings. -- Walked around here today before/after breakfast at maison giraud. Eggs, grass-fed meat, fruits, veggies, flower, prepared foods, anything you can think of! Towards the middle there are these bomb warm almonds/cashews/pecans that are tossed in cinnamon and vanilla extract. Yummy. They should use the street space better so that the space isn't as cramped. Other than that it's all good! :)

Yelp
I am a huge fan of the Pacific Palisades Farmers' Market. I just recently moved into the Palisades and the Farmers' Market is one of my favorite aspects of living here. Just a simple walk from the Alphabet Streets, the market has a wide array of both fresh produce and pre-made/ready-to-eat and cook snacks and treats. I love coming with my girlfriend and exploring the different stands and tasting all of their wonderful products. Sometimes, you can eat enough for a whole breakfast just trying out the different samples at the stands. While I love the freshness of the produce, I typically leave that shopping to my mom (sorry mom! She enjoys it though). My real favorites are all of the wonderful food stands. I love the tempeh, spicy tempeh, pickled diakon, vegetable broth and the lotus root from Dave's Vegan Korean Food. It is all absolutely fantastic. Seriously though, don't try too much unless you bring a lot of money because you'll end up wanting one of everything. I also love the Bolani stand. Abdul is one of the nicest vendors in the entire market and he always does a wonderful job of going out of his way to say hello and update us on their new products. My favorites at the Bolani stand are the Spinach Bolani and the Pumpkin Bolani. I love to also get their Cilantro Pesto to dip it in. I just happened to try it one day and now it is hard to go a week without it! And, did I mention the bolanis are extremely low in calories? From crystal vendors, to fresh, organic meats and fish, to breads and gluten free pastries, the Palisades Farmers' Market has it all. Parking can be a little bit of a hassle, but it is easy enough to find parking a couple blocks into the neighborhood. The market can get a little bit crowded, so the streets can be pretty full, but you're here to walk anyway, right? If you get hungry and are looking for a full meal while you're at the market, there are a variety of options in the village. Try out Kay & Dave's Cantina, Cafe Vida, or Maison Giraud for a nice brunch or lunch! I also love that there is a Starbucks, Coffee Bean, Noah's Bagels, and Robeks right in the area. All in all, the Pacific Palisades Farmers' Market is hard to beat! If you are looking for a fun Sunday morning activity, look no more; head to the Palisades and enjoy!

Yelp
If you want beautiful people and beautiful views with your beautiful vegetables, this is the place to be. Some food items can be overpriced, but some well worth it--strawberries as big as your fist, strange lemon almonds, juicy tangerines. The thing that sealed the five star deal is the dog adoptions that they do out of the parking lot next to the market. I'm a sucker for cute dogs, though they haven't gotten me to actually adopt quite yet. The details: The farmer's market runs 8am-1pm in the center of town. Swarthmore Avenue and Sunset Pacific Pailsades, CA 90272

Yelp
The fruit there is amazing -- the strawberries I got were a great deal and they were the sweetest I had ever had. I've also gotten some really delicious baked goods there. But I do wish they had more variety aside from that. As far as farmers markets go, I think this one is on the more boring/tamer side. Still, I ended up there after breakfast many mornings when I was living in Topanga.

Yelp
The hubby and I love this farmer's market. I have been going to the one in Santa Monica on the Promenade for over a decade. When we first moved to the Palisades, I assumed this farmer's market was going to be dinky. I was shocked to find out how much we love it here. We get all our organic produce for much less than the one in Santa Monica. This one also has a family feel and we now know many of the vendors. The only down-side is that it is very crowded. There is a lot of prepared food at this one. Definitely check out the bakery lady with the amazing cakes and goodies in the stall with flaps on it. The Indian food is also excellent as is the stall selling various pestos. We also buy from the Korean food place weekly and the Greek place semi-regularly. As you can see, there is eclectic offerings. The fruit at one of the organic vendors is so good. Each week I make copious amounts of fruit salad thanks to this vendor. The hubby gets me fresh flowers on a semi-weekly basis. The flowers are lovely and very affordable. We go every Sunday and love it. See you there.

Yelp
This is a strange market, almost clinical innits lack of colors. The first thing you will notice is that all tents are white, which is strange for a "farmer's" market that usually boasts abundance and diversity. It tries to look chck, but I feel it misses the spot. It aims toard trendiness, which is not what I look for in a market. Maybe its my European roots. The vendors also look a little depressed. After talking to a few, it seems it's a tough market to be in. Maybe it's due to the high fees (a recent 50% increase) and the harsh farmers market competition, which means they earn less. I find other markets to be much more diverse and colorful, much more vibrant, such as the Saturday Pasadena, Long Beach, Hollywood and Santa Monica markets. This market lacks colors and is sad looking in its conformity. Come on guys, you can spice it up a bit.

Yelp
I love this farmer's market! Parking is super easy in the lot right behind the gas station. Parking is either free or $3, I forget (I come to this area and park in this lot for other things too, so I'm mixing things up). This is a really small, chill farmer's market. They have some of the yummiest figs here. There is a vendor who makes delicious vegetarian and vegan soup. Plenty of great yummy, local produce. There is a Bank of America ATM right across the street for if I didn't bring enough cash, and they have puppy adoptions right next to the market for my cute puppy snuggles fix. I came to this farmer's market on a Sunday after a yoga class at Yogaworks the other day, and it was the perfect start to a productive Sunday.

Yelp
5 stars -- this is a great market and I hesitate to say that as it might draw even more crowds! Fresh fruit, veggies, and bread/pastries to die for. My favorite stalls are the mushroom man, French bakery from Culver City with the BEST ALMOND Danish you'll ever have; Raison Dude with several varieties. Major celebrity sightings recently: Ben Affleck, Jenifer Garner, Mrs. Seinfeld, Matthew Perry. Come early before the mobs arrive with double wide strollers blocking the path.

Yelp
I am here most Sunday mornings. For me, the market is close and convenient. I have found several reliable vendors and generally shop from the same 4-5 stands. My favorites are John (farm name starts with an S), The Asian guy from Fresno, and Ha's Apples. On the downside, the prices are high and the aisles are really narrow. I really think they should ban strollers and pushcarts. Also, several times I was shortchanged by vendors (the ones who use white cardboard as signage)

Yelp
Two reasons why I come here: -pet adoption And -fried cheese! Used to come here often since my grandpa is from here I come to enjoy the early hours of the last day of my weekend. You can try every fruit and veggie out there and what I like to do is negotiate what I wamt to pay.

Yelp
One of my favorite farmers market location due to it being near the beach. Somehow end up at the beach with yummy fruit and pastries to enjoy my day. This is located on the street which have a few restaurants offering brunch which usually have a line. What makes this farmers market unique is the pet adoption section. It's bigger than any other farmers market. I always want to adopt two or three pets and my nephews never want to leave. This market has tons of veggies, fruits and floral stands which can lead to bargains if one vendor offers a cheaper price. Also, tons of samples that you might not need to have brunch, you'll pretty much nibble away!
