4 Restaurants to Try This Weekend in Los Angeles - Eater LA

"It hasn’t been easy for Redondo Beach steakhouse Pacific Standard Prime. The restaurant opened in August 2020, working a patio-only menu (and then takeout-only) for a long while before being allowed to seat diners inside the restaurant." - Eater Staff

Had Sunday night dinner here. Started with both the sourdough bread and farmers market salad with peaches, arugula and peanuts with honey vinaigrette. SO TASTY! Wanderer filet mignon was delicious, as was the wanderer porterhouse. The gochujang brussels sprouts were phenomenal. Server took the porterhouse back to cook for just a little longer with no hassle, staff made everything so easy from helping explain the menu to helping me choose which sauce to get. Shout out to our server Stephanie who was so kind, sweet, helpful and funny. Will definitely be coming back!

Google
Australian wagyu ribeye was perfectly cooked and delicious. Didn’t care for the wedge salad or calamari very much. Sticky toffee pudding was a bit too dry in the middle. Still worth coming here for the steak but everything else don’t expect much

Came here on a Saturday night with my wife. The food was delicious and the staff were very friendly. It was so amazing that all their steak was Halal! And sourced from Australia. My favorite item was the chilli and the sourdough bread. I can eat that weekly! The owner was very nice and i appreciate him catering the muslim community. Ambiance was nice, it was a mix of casual and fine dining. Will def be visiting here again!!

Google
The service is phenomenal! The food was great! The porterhouse and bread is a must try. The brocolini and creamy spinach was delicious! For all those reviews that say the food was salty or meat beingover done, our party of 6 did not experience any of that with our steaks, sides, or fish dishes. The server was very attentive as well as management checking in on us during our meal. The price of the food matched the portions, if anyone expected more of a portion, obviously they haven't shopped at a grocery store recently with inflation or the cost of gas. I support this business as they treated my children and my elderly family members with genuine kindness and attentiveness. If you're looking for a nice steakhouse to have a birthday, this one is great!

Google
Reservations preferred. This is definitely a special occasion type of place. Go for a birthday or anniversary. All the food is very good quality. Aside from menu staples, they also have seasonal menus that are rotated often. Their weekday wagyu course offers a great selection of everything. A must-have side are the mushrooms. I ordered a bavette cut, cooked medium. I should have ordered medium rare. The wagyu lumpias were rich, there were 4 and easy to share in a group. The interior design and decoration choice is amazing! If you have a whiskey or bourbon lover in your group, they will be in heaven. The selection is impressive. That being said, the prices are a little too rich for my blood. I might not come back.

Let's start with the drinks are strong and worth it, the bar and bartenders are real cool , they know how to put the drinks together! Tj our server was the epitome of hospitality , he truly took care of all our needs and some, compt us some nice desserts, the food is ok/slash good a lil bland for my taste.

Google
First time dining here and we had an outstanding dinner experience. Service was excellent. Menu offered a wide range of food and drink. The meal was great and served in a timely manner. We had a wonderful time.

Google
I’ve been to many fancy steakhouses in my day and I’ve never a steak that was better than this place. They also have an amazing whiskey bar seemed like hundreds of pretty nice selections at reasonable prices.

Yelp
Wonderful attention to detail, great service, nice atmosphere and seating, and the Wagyu Ribeye was simply divine. I liked the toffee dessert too. Nice portions, bring your appetite.

Yelp
Some of the basics were there. Decent ambiance. A perfect Old Fashion. An amazing bourbon list if that's really all in stock. The server was super nice. The bread boule was kinda perfect. The steak (Black Opal New York?) was great... as it should be for $75. The drink arrived pretty quickly. Downsides... Everything else showed up about 45 to 60 minutes later. That's too long, right? At least get me my bread within 10 or 12 minutes. We were there when they opened and there could not have been more than 6 people in there when we sat down... are you really waiting until game time to start baking the bread that half the tables are going to be ordering? I mean, my back-of-house restaurant expertise kind of ends with four seasons of The Bear... but I've been eating in them for over half a century so I have a pretty good idea of what to expect. And it wasn't this. I could see what the issue was... a party of 8 people got seated about five minutes after us and that was all she wrote. But if one semi-large party is going to impact other tables... you gotta figure out a better game plan. The last thing you want... the last thing I want... is to have me, the customer, craning my neck like an owl on meth, trying to catch the server's eye to see where the f the food is. Aside from that, the only other two things we ordered were brussels spouts and a salad. I get that you are trying to do something with a basically inedible vegetable (brussels sprouts)... you have to "jazz it up"... but these were smothered in some vaguely asian semi-spicy sauce and it didn't really work and the LAST adjective I'd use to describe them would have been "crispy". (Bit we complained and the very nice server brought out some without the gochujang. They weren't any crispier or tastier but appreciated the attempt.) Last... can we talk about the "Unclassic Wedge"? Not sure why they think it was not "classic"... all the ingredients seemed pretty typical for a Wedge Salad... it was just not very good. To me, a Wedge Salad is just a big chunk of iceberg lettuce and the only think that makes it fun is the decadent addition of bacon, blue cheese crumbles, shallots and tomatoes. This had some kind of ground up bacon and not much of it or anything else. Anyway, out food arrived at about the hour mark. My wife and I came there for "classic" steak house... playing The Strokes 10 decibels too loud did not add to the ambiance. It might be the PERFECT ambiance for some people but since I'm writing the review... I want classy/mellow tablecloth-and-candles. And I love The Strokes. Just not while I'm trying to get in the mood with an Old Fashion (and no bread).

Yelp
Update: Kevin Leach reached out to us immediately after the review and corrected the charges. Rating updated to 4, which now reflects our opinion of the food and service outside of the charge issue.

Yelp
After having a detailed conversation with Kevin, Restaurateur - I am updating my review. Heartfelt condolences go out to you Taylor for the loss of your Dearly Beloved Father. I understand so well after losing Mom and Dad in 2022. We look forward to dining at Pacific Standard Prime, Voted South Bay LA's Best Steakhouse soon.

Yelp
We were on the lookout for a great spot to celebrate my wife's recent work successes, and she had her eye on Pacific Standard Prime, especially after seeing the stellar Yelp reviews. Our evening began with a warm welcome from Christina at the host stand. We were seated in a cozy booth with comfortable high-back seats and decorative extenders that provided a semi-private atmosphere. The restaurant's decor was charming, featuring elegant chandeliers and a wooden trellis ceiling. The white color scheme, accented by stylish green plant motifs on the walls and beams, created a fresh ambiance. A standout feature was the impressive wine wall, which added to the overall appeal. Plus, they passed my bathroom cleanliness test--an essential for any place aiming for five stars! For those just wanting drinks, the well-stocked bar had televisions, and that night they were airing the ALCS, where the Yankees triumphed over the Guardians, 8-6. You will get a few menus when you first sit down. They have an enormous whisky menu, which happens to be a favorite of mine. One of the evening's many highlights was our waiter, Seth, who was not only knowledgeable about the menu but also had a fantastic personality. When the owner, Kevin, stopped by to check on us, he described Seth as "dinner, AND A SHOW." We definitely enjoyed the show--great job, Seth, we enjoyed dining with you. Now, onto the food, which truly impressed. Chef Christine deserves applause for her culinary skills. For appetizers, we shared the Wedge salad, which was crisp and topped just right. The star of the show was the incredible country bread served with infused butter. Kevin explained the FRESH, bread-making process, and you could truly taste the difference--it was divine. For our main courses, my wife had the 8oz Wanderer Filet Mignon, cooked perfectly to her liking, while I savored the Cioppino, brimming with the ocean's treasures. The broth was delightful, complemented by three delicious pieces of bread. For beverages, I enjoyed a martini, and my wife loved her scratch-made PSP cocktail. We capped off the meal with the sticky toffee pudding, which was the perfect sweet ending. In summary, if you're considering Pacific Standard Prime, don't hesitate. My wife felt we celebrated her achievements beautifully. Kudos to the entire staff at PSP for creating something truly special!

Yelp
Our new favorite brunch spot. Food is delicious and ambiance is very chill. Our waiter, Chase, went out of his way to take care of us. Our favorites are Eggs Benedict and the Bulgogi breakfast (perfectly cooked chunks of steak). If you order the Brunch Bundle they add a hot croissant with berry jam and for only $10 more you get bottomless mimosas. Kevin, the owner, makes sure you are happy campers. Highly recommend this place!

Yelp
Ok 1000/10!! The food was really good! I liked the overall quality of the food and the steaks were on point! The server was really friendly and was very knowledgeable on the menu! The service was also quick and the ambiance was a 10/10! I definitely recommend this place if you're in the area!

Yelp
My husband and I recently came here for dinner for a date night. Reservations were easy to make via OpenTable. When I walked in I noticed a very casual bar with a TV. But the rest of the space had a more formal vibe more appropriate for a steakhouse dinner date. We sat at a lovely velvety booth that was very spacious and comfortable! I loved the ambience--both contemporary yet cozy. It's slightly dim lit but not too dark. Great for a date, special occasion or a nice family dinner. We shared the following: - Kumamoto Oysters - very fresh! Loved the mignonettes it came with! - Warm Sourdough Boule - underrated item! Wow this bread was SO good! I'm not a big bread person but I really enjoyed this. It was perfectly baked, warm, soft on the inside with a delightful chewy and crispy thin crust. It came with a delicious aromatic olive oil and a compound butter with edible florals. - Porterhouse Steak - made up of a filet and New York strip, served cut from the bone and sliced. I especially enjoyed the filet side. Overall, it was a good steak but not amazing in my opinion. Not as good as Mastro's, but for the South Bay, it's probably one of the best in this area along with The Arthur J. - Charred farmers market chimichurri broccoli - skip this. I wouldn't get this again. I was expecting more of a charred flavor but it was overpowered by too much acid/citrus. It had a sour taste and an unbalanced flavor profile. Maybe it was an off day. Service here was excellent! It really stood out as a notch above the usual standard service at other restaurants. Every staff member we encountered was great. We even noticed the owner walking around and engaging with guests which was nice to see. Parking: free and super easy in the parking garage next to it

Yelp
A million thanks for an amazing Thanksgiving meal PSP! Service and food were amazing. Got additional appetizers like the crab & artichoke dip which definitely had a generous portion of crab meat. Hope to come back for holiday and non holiday meals soon!
google avatar

Greg H.

Yelp
Finally came back for a Holiday dinner with friends. Still one of the better steakhouses in the Southbay with a HUGE whiskey selection. Service and ambience was excellent and Kevin stopped by to say hello. Also went to HH here a week earlier which was nice. 4pm - 6:30pm in the bar, Tuesday - Thursday and Sunday.
google avatar

Stephanie A.

Yelp
Had a great time having dinner in this place with friends the other day. In my opinion, The best part of this restaurant was their impeccable and friendly service. However I think the food was just okay. For the steak, I still love Mastro's a little bit more. I found the steak seasoning was a little bit bland. I did, however, enjoy my pumpkin espresso martini though!

Yelp
Went here for Father's Day, and it did not disappoint ! Food was delicious. Honorable mentions are the berry cream cheese cake, the steak and eggs, and $20 bottomless mimosas! Perfect brunch. Service was so awesome and it is such a beautiful establishment. thanks PSP!

Yelp
EVERYTHING was perfect! I am a total foodie and this is the first time every single dish was made PERFECTLY on point!! My friend and I have had a monthly dinner for years and we both agreed this was one of the best! Cream of broccoli soup: Delicious, flavorful and NOT too creamy. You could see and taste the broccoli. Filet Mignon: cooked perfectly medium as ordered. We chose the Peppercorn Sauce (recommended by our server) and it was delicious and not overly spicy. Brussels Sprouts: the gochujang was not overdone. Hint of heat, but could still taste the vegetables. The sprouts were not overcooked. Very tasty! Scalloped potatoes: made with three cheeses. We thought it may come "too cheesy", but no! Perfection!! Potatoes were not soggy and it was served with just the right amount of the sauce; wasn't drowning the potatoes. Lemon curd tiramisu: what a nice twist on this dessert! Not overly sweet. We were so full by then but couldn't stop eating this! I want this again for dessert! Pinot Noir: unfortunately don't remember the label but it was delicious! Though lighter than a Cabernet Sauvignon and the Bordeaux, it was balanced and went well with our meal. Service: Mark was our server and he was fantastic! Very upbeat and pleasant demeanor. Professional. Just the right amount of "checking in", each course served in the appropriate timing and made great recommendations for wine and sauce for the filet mignon. He also explained the quality of the meat, where it is from, etc. PSP serves quality protein and fresh vegetables from farmers markets. Some might think this place is a bit pricey, but remember, you get what you pay for! What you put in your body is very important and clearly PSP cares about that!

Yelp
We recently went to this restaurant and were very pleased with our service and dinner. In fact we liked it so much we went back the very next week. The owner greeted us during our evening and made sure everything was to our satisfaction.

Yelp
TJ & Christina were AWESOME! Fantastic service, delicious food & drinks. Loaded mashed potatoes highly recommend and Black Opal steaks are a must! The fries are also a favorite, you've never had a fry like these!

Yelp
When I lived in Texas I would partake in the local fair- steak. Now back in the south bay I took my family to the top rated steakhouse. 1 exec summary Great ambiance. Great service. Above average food. Easy access. Premium price but a place you want to dwell in and enjoy. 2- food The steaks are above average. But not quite to the level that you find in Texas. California struggles with great steak and bbq. Texas struggles with great Japanese and Mexican. The calamari appetizer was a 3.5. It was slightly better than average being not greasy. But the coating flaked off readily The side of mashed was quite good. I got the filet mignon at medium rare and it was easily a 4. I'd say it was missing just a bit of the "crust" flavor that you expect from a high temperature sear- which is why you go to steakhouses 3- service Really great support and banter with the waiter. Very attentive without being overly pushy. Great suggestions in helping to navigate the menu. The bar staff screwed up my first drink order but they fixed it immediately. 4- ambiance So cal cool. A sophisticated place where you never feel rushed (there are South Bay trendy restaurants that give you a time limit. That stresses me out). Relax, enjoy .. we ended up having too many desserts (the crème brûlée is to die for ) and after dinner digestives because they were so awesome with us just sitting there and enjoying the experience. I love that 5- parking Why we chose to experience this restaurant vs Rex in the village was parking. Parking in Rivera is a hit and miss affair. The parking here is reserved behind the restaurant. Just read the signs to see where you should park. It was easy and adjacent to the restaurant Overall we had a lovely time. I'd go back

Yelp
Went last night for anniversary dinner and wish we hadn't. One star for the service and decor, another for the brussell sprouts. We ordered the filet medium and New York medium rare. Filet came out medium rare and NY medium. The NY was really the biggest disappointment. Came out looking like a big filet instead of a NY, no char or flavor and still overcooked. We really wanted to like this local restaurant but will not be returning.
google avatar

Claudia M.

Yelp
We went for brunch on Sunday and the service and food were amazing! My favorite is always the classic "eggs Benedict ". But there are many other delicious items to choose from! I definitely will return soon!

Yelp
Food: 10 stars out of 5 Service: 7 stars out of 5 Ambiance: Great! I saw good spread of crowds from families having get-together meals, what looked like business dinners (or just a bunch of adults that knew each other), and then we were kinda off to the side enjoying our "date night without the kids" outing. For the families: this is a fancy dinner place, but they have appropriate child-friendly staff & menu. I personally wouldn't bring my own kids here, but that's because my kids are too young and culinarily inexperienced to appreciate the quality of food & ambiance/environment. I hope this place stays in business for a long time; it's the kind of place I want to bring my son to celebrate his college acceptance to his dream school.

Yelp
We used to love Pacific Standard Prime. Not sure what happened. The place has a great atmosphere and we always loved the food. Had dinner Friday night and it was a miss. Really not a $400 dinner. Had the bread which was amazing. My wife and I had NY strip and both were not cooked well and mine was very tough. Daughter had the filet and she liked it. The sides were good. The service was attentive but was a miss for a $400 meal (didn't fill our water and we packed our own doggie bags). Bussing was done by individuals wearing really dirty and wet aprons (more like a greasy diner-out of place). I think everything could have been irrelevant if the steak was good but it wasn't. I am really bummed, I used to like going to this place.
google avatar

April V.

Yelp
LOVE ordering steak from this place. Australian wagyu is my favorite!! The service is pleasant and the restaurant is not loud which I truly appreciate. There's plenty of walk room with how this place is set up with all the table. I really love eating here.

Yelp
My boyfriend and I weren't planning on going out for Valentine's night, but a friend and their partner came into town last minute and so I was trying to find a table for four that evening last minute. This place was the only one on OpenTable that had anything available Valentine's evening. I was honestly a bit nervous about that, because they had quite a bit of tables and wasn't sure what to expect, but I am so happy to say that I was very pleasantly surprised how amazing they were, as well as our entire table. The restaurant has a parking garage behind it with free parking and plenty of it, which is great. The restaurant itself was nice inside and despite the fact that they had tables open it looked pretty packed inside (maybe with all last minute folks like us haha). We immediately sat for our reservation and we started with some drinks and apps based off of the waitresses recommendation. We all four got something different and every single drink was amazing! I wish their online menu showed the exact drinks so I could name them, but sadly not - so just trust me on it :) For apps we got the Lumpia and Heirloom Tomatoes - both were absolutely fantastic! They have a wide variety of different types of steaks and ages to order from. Three of us got the ribeyes in three different ages (Wanderer, Robbin's Island & Black Opal) and one of us got the wanderer filet mignon. We also ordered some sides to share for the table Brussels and Mashed Potatoes. The steaks were all perfectly cooked and tasted absolutely amazing! I'm not sure I could taste a huge difference between the aged, because all 3 were so delicious and melted in the mouth. Filet Mignon was the same, melt in the mouth. Sides both were great, but tasted pretty basic in comparison to everything else. Still good though. I would highly recommend this restaurant and I do plan on coming back again when in the area.

Yelp
Hidden gem! I love this place. I'll never understand why this place isn't as busy as it should be because the brunch/breakfast is one of the best in the South Bay. Service is top-notch! Ambience is perfect for a Sunday morning/afternoon the music is perfect as well. Definitely a place to check out. This morning, I had the Bulgogi the fillet was absolutely perfect so incredibly tender, very tasty, and cooked to perfection even the coffee is delicious.

Yelp
Wow. This was a spectacular experience. Pleasantly surprised and super satisfied. Staff was superb. Ambiance was very pleasant (granted it was on an abnormally slow Friday night due to a local nearby event). Food and beverage were both delicious and delectable. We came here by chance, as we needed to find a restaurant open past 9pm, and we wanted steak. I have added this to my must-visit list.
google avatar

Lilly C.

Yelp
The food, service, drinks, vibe are all exactly what we needed/want. So glad there's an alternative fine dining steak house in South Redondo! We left a very happy bunch and are still talking about it the next morning.
google avatar

Nick H.

Yelp
THE best steakhouse in the South Bay. Service is always 10/10. The restaurant has a beautiful ambience and I love sitting at the bar for happy hour.

Yelp
Solid choice in this area! I mean if you like high quality food and pretty fantastic service! I came in to kill time and get a good meal! Mission accomplished! I had the crab cake, the Scallops, and finished with the Basque Cheesecake. All of the dishes were outstanding! Side note!!!! This restaurant has a sommelier! Always pic the their brain! This particular night I enjoyed my meal, Peggy was the sommelier. She was very knowledgeable on the wines and actually opened a bottle wine for the glass option. It was a Spanish Albariño and this was sooo good!!!! I sat n the bar so I could watch the baseball game since I was by myself, but the dinning rooms look like nice, upscale, inviting, and a place that I would bring my wife or a group for a wonderful meal, Can't wait till the next time! Cheers!

Yelp
Overall this place was fantastic, although for the steak quality i think this place is priced a bit higher than i would have expected. I would also mention that the service was slower than i would have hoped for. We ended up turning a 2 hour dinner into a 3 hour dinner just due to how slow the server was coming out to our table, and i had to embarrass myself a bit to get her attention as i had a flight to catch and needed to close out my bill. Aside from the high prices and the slower service, i enjoyed the meal and i would return, as this is a fantastic place to bring clients. @PacificStandardPrime please make sure the servers are a bit more attentive to the tables, the time we were there it was fairly empty and everything just took way too long.

Yelp
Went to PSP for my birthday. It won me over as the best steak restaurant in the greater LA area. The owner, Kevin explained us the painstaking process. He had been through the source the best possible beef. Not only was this the best quality beef I have ever had but it was served to us by Seth, who was one of the most memorable servers I've ever had. A true gentleman, and a raconteur with a flair of showmanship and choice pieces of english language. Finally, we were served a chocolate ganache coupled with a well-timed and tastefully inappropriate joke that left us with a conspiratorial connection that I intend on re-sparking for upcoming celebrations.

Yelp
I was really excited to try this, and used DineLA as the opportunity to try this restaurant out. However, I was a little underwhelmed. We were seated outside. They had plenty of heat lamps ready in case we got cold, but it turns out that it was warm enough that they didn't do it. I do appreciate how concerned the were about the temperature! That said, I was actually glad that we sat outside because the ambiance inside was a bit to dark for me... Our server was friendly and attentive. Came back to check on us during our meal and make sure that we had everything we needed. However, the food was a bit underwhelming. We ordered the DineLA menu + a schnitzel, potato leek soup, and mushrooms. The appetizers were probably the best part of the meal. The potato leek soup had a really amazing smoky flavor -- I'm not sure if it was from the bacon or roasted the leeks, but it definitely leveled-up this potato leek soup. The salad was well balanced in terms of flavors and textures! The entrees, though... Maybe I'm just not a fan of NY Strip? I found it to be a bit too tough, and missing some flavor. The sauce that came with it, was fine. Seemed a bit one-note. The pork schnitzel was good, but very rich. Dessert was pretty good, but I don't think that is on the regular menu.
google avatar

Tami V.

Yelp
The food is really good, the steak was cooked perfectly. Service is ok and the ambience is pretty casual for a steakhouse.
google avatar

Heather R.

Yelp
If I could rate this restaurant 10 stars, I would! I have been coming here since it opened, and every single time the food is fantastic! The steaks are melt in your mouth, the sides are generous, and it's so fun how they will change the menu around, so there is always something new to try! On top of that, the service and hospitality are top notch. They make notes in your reservations about what you like, so they remember it the next time you come. TJ IS THE BEST! All of the servers are of course wonderful, but we ask for TJ every time. His level of customer care goes beyond anything I've ever seen, and he's honestly the best guy. So fun and personable. We spend every special occasion at PSP and you should too!

Yelp
Very weird to say it, but they have the best bread I've ever eaten. Went here for a birthday dinner, ordered an opal ribeye medium, broccoli and mushrooms. Steak was cooked correctly. The beurre rouge was nice. My date really enjoyed the mushroom. Staff are friendly and not overbearing which can happen at upscale places.

Yelp
If u like whiskey and good food, this is the place to be. The owner Kevin is the nicest guy ever! Food, service and experience is top notch!

Yelp
Love, love this place, such a fabulous hidden gem in South Bay! This is our go to Steakhouse restaurant, my kids favorite too. Service is impeccable and food is superb, never a disappointment. Tried other steak places near by like Rex, but here is the real deal. All locally sourced and beef is from Australian grass fed!!! I don't know about you.., but you can tell the difference! Ambiance is such a nice surprise when you walk in, very chic. Fabulous local, sustainable, grass fed, & farm to table restaurant. Food: (our usual, but, we have tried pretty much everything from Wagyu to regular steaks). They are very seasonal too, which I love. So, whatever is in season at the moment from the farmers market, is what will be on their menu. They source all their produce from the farmers market. App- *crispy Lumpas - delicious *tuna tartare - great! ( I usually have this and due to my gluten free they alway bring slices of cucumbers for me ) *calamari- great * raw oysters -they usually have Kumamoto (my favorite) *Tomahawk Steak- Amazing, very flavorful! (My favorite steak is the Wanderer New York. Just the cuts of Wanderer steaks are melt in your mouth steaks. They are, wow, just can't really explain the taste. You just have to taste for yourself. We usually just order the tomahawk for our table of 3.., easy...) * brussels sprouts with bacon * broccolini *mushrooms - great Like I said, no bad choices here. Dessert: My kid always gets their blue Cookie Monster ice cream. *peach cobbler (but only available in the summer) I do wish they would make a dairy and gluten free dessert and not just a sorbet... maybe something chocolate??? Food is so yummy. We always come here to celebrate either my kids belt test or birthdays. They really know how to treat their customers. The owner, Kevin, such a great guy. He always makes sure to say hi to every table. That little home feeling touch is not usually done in restaurants and makes it feel very homey and very welcoming. He's such a giving man, he donated to my kid's school's fund raise! Who does this..?!?? He really cares about his restaurant and it shows not only in his food he provides to his customers and the level of service he provides to us, and his employees are super happy people. He must be doing something right... Please come and support this amazing local steakhouse in the South Bay. We cannot lose a restaurant like this! Hope to see them thrive for many, many yrs! You just don't get these special touches like this in big cities. Oh, forgot, I had a big birthday celebration here and he went out of his way to make sure, I had a birthday dessert that I can eat that was gluten and diary free. They have this wonderful area for parties. I still, yet to join their once a month wine pairing dinners! Can't say enough great things about this restaurant. I could go on and on... but I will leave it to you to experience.

Yelp
We went here for my husband birthday . Amazing staff , food and restaurants ambience was very comfortable and upscale. However it sucked hejng I. The booth near the kitchen men lots of beating . My only wish was that the specials offered a seafood /poultry option . I would have loved to have the salad, sides and main . I get they specialize in beef, but it should be an option . My sister is still raving about the steaks quality will be back .

Yelp
Came in on a Friday night to celebrate a couple of things. We had tried the onening special as takeout back in December 2020, but I had been dreaming of the tomahawk ever since. Was very glad to get the excuse to do it. It was well worth the wait, the char was amazing. It was a perfect medium rare, and some very nice marbled fat. Amazingly, they have a Wagyu Wednesday that's good on Fridays. For the normal price of the Tomahawk, you get salad for two, mashed potatoes and some of the most amazing Brussels sprouts I've ever had. We also engaged with Peggy, their new sommelier and got a nice bottle of wine, which our neighbors ended up buying for us, (we still tipped Peggy for the selection). And unfortunately I'm avoiding the hard liquor for another month, but their bourbon and scotch list is insanely extensive, including Pappy. I keep putting off trying Pappy, next time I'm doing it. Can't wait for the excuse to come back.

Yelp
Stopped in for Sunday Brunch. Ordered: Farmers Market Blueberry Cream Cheese Coffee Cake. Ate it too fast to get a photo. It was warm and fluffy, with a crumbly top. Very good! Chilaquiles. Good flavor on the carnitas. Bulgogi. Good spice and flavor. Friendly service, Highly recommend!

Yelp
Yesterday was the second time that a group of us had eaten there. We had the same server as the first time. Stephanie remembered us from our first visit months ago, an impressive feat. The chocolate crème brûlée was quite delicious as was the strawberry shortcake special desert. Steaks were prepared as requested, they were exceptional. 4 of our party of six split the tomahawk. The owner made a great recommendation for an accompanying wine. It was a fantastic meal.

Yelp
Great service and great ambience. We went in around 6:30 PM on a Saturday night. The restaurant was only at about 50-60% capacity the entire time we were there (a couple of hours). The food is very hit or miss and overpriced for what you get whether that be quantity or quality. We had four people in our party. The ribeye and salmon were big hits. Two of us ordered the filet and found it was tough and flavorless. As this is a steak house and given the price, we were sorely disappointed and wished we would have sent back the filets. The scallop potatoes were liked by the party. The broccoli was okay, but nothing special. Overall, would recommend going for drinks and maybe appetizers, but if you are looking for a good steak, there are better steakhouses in town. Would most likely not return.

Yelp
My wife brought me here for my birthday dinner. What a great experience! Food was very well executed but more importantly the service was incredible. TJ was our server and he took very good care of us. In fact, when he heard it was my birthday, he wrote me a hand written note along with a special dessert. It was a nice personal touch that was unexpected. I will definitely be back for the food and TJ!

Yelp
This place delivers every time. Food and service are always excellent. If this place was in the heart of Riviera Village there would be no empty tables. It's a hidden gem off PCH for sure.

Yelp
The only thing that stood out to me was that ambience. The restaurant was beautiful, but loud. The food was definitely mediocre bland and it took so long for our food to come out. This was my first time and I wasn't impressed.

The food was absolutely amazing! and the service provided by the staff made for a perfect brunch. Special shout out to TJ, whose service, smile and conversation were so refreshing! Yelp
We have dined at PSP frequently and have always had an amazing meal and great service. Today we were treated to a cooking class by our children. Thank you! Chef Christine did an excellent job. We picked up many tips. The staff, including Stephanie, provided great service and an even better meal.

Yelp
Everything is amazing, the food, service, drinks, and they have free corkage on Sundays!
