Pacos Tacos - Review - Bankhead - Atlanta - The Infatuation
"Paco’s Tacos just off Donald Lee Hollowell Parkway is useful when you're starving and short on time. Contrary to the dining room's jungle-animal-print couches that have clearly seen a lot of bottoms, Paco’s Tacos is mostly a takeout joint with quick service. The tacos are decent and won't break the bank (you get two for $12). But if you're only getting one order, make it the veggie version—it's packed with lettuce, onions, tomatoes, and black beans that are rich and deeply spiced.
Food Rundown
Veggie Tacos
The standout order here. Two tacos come loaded with lettuce, onions, tomatoes, and black beans that are heavily spiced.
Steak Tacos
Thick chunks of steak are packed into a snappy, fried corn shell that holds up well. This is a solid order.
Chicken Tacos
Shredded chicken coated in a mild red salsa, tucked into a crisp, fried corn shell with onions, lettuce, and tomatoes. There’s a good tomato tang without heat.
Beef Birria Tacos
This shredded beef is tender but underwhelming. It’s wrapped in a lightly fried shell and comes with thin consomé for dipping. Though that dip is really more of a warm bath than a flavor booster.
Chicken Burrito
A fat burrito stuffed with richly seasoned chicken, rice, beans, cheese—it’s filling, balanced, and worth an order.
Steak Nachos
It's an expected pile of chips topped with steak, cheese, and the usual fixings. The steak’s fine, but the chips lean bland and get soggy fast. Skip or go for the Dorito nacho option." - Jacinta Howard
