The ambiance was pretty authentic to the culture. Service was nice and she was patient with us on our ordering. The food was good nice portions. It seems the place to come eat at they were packed in there. We had the rock tacos, sorry no pictures but plenty are online. Go try it out you will not be disappointed.

I love the rock tacos but I tried the pacos tacos (of course added some pico de gallo and lime from the toppings bar) and I think they are my new favorite!!Also the temperature inside the restaurant was much cooler!! Great service as always!

Loved the steak tacos. We ate there several times when I had a family member in the hospital close by and everyone got real tired of hospital food. Too bad that wendys right by the hospital is really bad. Lol. But lucky for us all Pacos Tacos saved the day. They make fresh shells for the soft tacos that are out of this world. Both the caso and guacamole were excellent. Loats of flavor in all the food. Tasted a lot like the street tacos youd buy in old mexico off of a taco stand or outside grill. Really very tasty!!

The first time I visited the place, everything was okay. However, my experience a few days ago was quite disappointing. Upon my arrival, the person at the front counter skipped the usual greeting and promptly asked, "What can I get for you?" with no acknowledgment of my presence. When I requested a moment to check the menu, I received an unfriendly look. Eventually, I placed my order, but to my dismay, the tacos arrived cold, with the tortilla feeling as if it had just been taken out of a plastic bag. Interestingly, amidst the preparation, there were five employees engaged in laughter and singing, yet their demeanor changed when it came time to hand over my order. Despite calling my name, there was a distinct lack of warmth or smiles in their service. Regrettably, my final impression of the place was overshadowed by the subpar tacos. Dissatisfied, I left, convinced it would be my last visit. However, the consequences extended beyond mere disappointment. Later that night, I awoke to a terrible stomachache, accompanied by nausea and heartburn. This unpleasant experience has left me with second thoughts about returning and compelled me to share my less-than-ideal encounter.

Good and affordable tacos. Rock tacos (3 per order) are probably what they're known for. Birria tacos with melted cheese inside of a hard taco and a side of the beef broth to dip into. Honestly, they're good but not overly exciting, so I'm not sure what the hype is about. Shrimp tacos with guacamole are good too. There's a self served, unlimited sauce bar next to the counter as well. The dining tables are always dirty here. Every visit, never fails. They don't wipe down the tables right after the customer leaves. It's discouraging. Cashiers are usually nice though, so you'll just have to ask them to wipe it down unless you don't care.

We read the reviews on YELP for this restaurant so we decided to try this restaurant. It was fantastic. We had the chicken nachos and they were delicious. We also ordered the ribeye tacos and they were some of the best tacos i have ever had. They cook to order so everything was hot and fresh. I can not wait to go back.

We came across this place while we were in the NOLA area. Definitely a nice little taco spot if you are looking for some good tacos. Below is what we had. Quesa birria - 5 star - best taco at the restaurant and honestly which I just had these for all my tacos. Paco taco - 3 star - the steak was way over cooked and super chewy Tromping - 4 star - good, but needed a little salt Shrimp taco - 4 star - good but still needed flavor Would probably go back for the quesa birria, but would probably not order the others again.

It's ok. They don't wipe down the table, the kids who work the counter are tweens and the people who cook make faces when asked something. I ordered the birria quesadillas and it didn't come with any birria sauce when I asked the cook lady, she rolled her eyes and did a little ‍hands up in the air emoji face to her line cook mates. Most of the clientele looked about 15-17 years old too. They blast the mariachi music really loud too. It's maybe a place for teenage dates, idk? It's ok but just take it to go.

The food was delicious again. I tried the street tacos, and they were excellent. My husband had the burrito which he enjoyed. He wouldn't let me get a picture of it before he he started to eat. The music is a bit loud. But, I guess it works for the work. Our food was prepared quickly. The tables and area were clean. Totally recommend trying this place.

I ate here for lunch about 5 months ago. I gotta say, the food and service here are pretty darn good. I like that it is a counter service type place which means you just place your order at the counter and can pay separately if you have a group. So lets start with my favorite, the prickly pear margarita. I got it on the rocks and it was delish! It was also pretty strong, so highly recommend. Next, we heard they sold birria style tacos, yes and YES! very good flavor, will be back for more. Then we had the trompo, and the pork was very flavorful and we asked for extra guac. The only food I did not care for was the ramen. They should honestly stick to tacos and margs since they have just about perfected it. Also, I think this place could use more wall decor. Come on, dress it up and make it fun! :-) This place is on the smaller side, so not huge group place, the parking is somewhat small too. But it is a great location in the heart of Metry. Highly recommend!

The best tacos in the city by far!! We love coming to Pacos. The service is always great and friendly and the food is fantastic and fairly portioned for the prices

The tacos were ok. Nothing special. I will say this the burrito looked good. I probably should have got that. The customer service was great. I'm going to give them another shot at some point and see if there other items are better than the tacos but the tacos just didn't wow me. They were solid.

3.5/5 stars! I ordered the "rock tacos" which is their fancy way of saying birria. I'm personally not a fan of corn tortillas which they seem to use, so that was the only down side for me. The food was decently flavored and freshly made. I'd return to try more items for sure!

Overhyped undelivered, they say they have the best Birria tacos in town, if that's true then New Orleans just has lousy tacos. Probably a tourist trap which is why the reviews are high. To elaborate, with the birria tacos, every time I've had them the cheese was hot and melted, and the onions usually were hot as well, having the cheese and onions cold really throws off how "fresh" the tacos could have been, the consume' was pretty good. However it just amounted to an average at best taco when promised "the best" isn't going to cut it when expectations are high. The paco taco steak was dry, just not much flavor. My partner had the chicken tacos, they were dry, (the chicken was) at the end of the day if you're promising the best tacos in town it's a let down with such high promise.

I highly recommend the rock tacos which I tried for the first time on Saturday. They were juicy, cheesy, and full of flavor. The consumme is a great dip for them. Get there early since the tables and the parking lot fill up quick (additional parking in the back and outdoor seating).

Best street tacos, EVER. 5 tacos mix of any meat you like. I had chicken, steak, carnitas and pot roast. Carnitas were off the chain. All were excellent!! Smaller tacos but was still a decent sized meal. No sides here. Saw other specialty tacos, quesadillas and giant burritos going by. Salsa bar greatness, as well. I wish this place was in Texas. Highly recommend, best I've ever had. Family owned, friendly service and clean. Five stars all day long, even in a strip mall and counter service. Not far off I10, stop in you'll love it.

We've been to Pacos Tacos twice now and tell everyone about it. They were extremely helpful in helping me make a decision from the menu. It was great. Small, clean establishment with friendly and kind servers.

Amazing tacos in Metairie! During lockdown, I was on a mission to help local restaurants. A friend recommended Pacos Tacos and I was so glad she did. It was my first time trying birria tacos and it was one of the most delicious tacos I had ever had. The broth it came with was so good. We ordered some other items as well and was not disappointed. All their hot sauces are bomb - recommend getting them all. I have included pictures of birria tacos and single tacos. Also includes picture of Costras Taco which was a first time for me as well - a taco made with a cheese shell. Mouth-watering.

I have been coming to Pacos Tacos for a few years. Today 1/10/24 I visited because I hadn't been there for awhile. Well I wasted my money tonight. I ordered the dog house burrito, which was dry as the Mojave Desert, the tortilla was was very dry. I have ordered the dog house burrito before and it did not taste dry like this. I also ordered pinto beans they were dry and unseasoned. Very disappointed, especially when I know they can better than this.

The only thing that I can complain about is not finding this place sooner! The paco taco is very good but the rock taco is a don't miss out choice! The margaritas are great as well !

Been wanting to try this place for a while since Birria tacos have been all the rave. Randomly had time and got the Rock tacos which is 3 birria tacos. Ran me about $10. They have a condiment bar which was a plus and I gave a star for that. Birria tacos is shredded/pulled top roast or something like that. Place is clean (another star), service is fast and friendly (another star)...tacos...they alright or whatever (I'm from Cali so my taste buds are Mexicano). I LOVE their hottest sauce. Going back and forth from dipping on the Birria sauce and hot sauce is the perfect combo. I will be back, but to try something else.

Had some time to check out Pacos Tacos with the wife since she had the day off, so why not go for Tacos on a Tuesday?! Once she heard they had Birria tacos, she got ready in less than a minute! Fairly easy location to spot with limited parking space. The inside was fair with many tables around, but was pleased to see the restaurant fairly packed which lets me know they got something good going on. Everything is ordered at the register with a fair amount of items on the menu. Which is actually pretty good because their main focus are the tacos for sure. $10 for 5 street tacos with any choice of meat, you can't beat that price especially with all the other vendors around the area. They aren't skimpy on their protein either! The best thing you need to try are the ROCK TACOS! Talk about packed with flavor which comes with a dipping consome for enhanced flavor! You definitely have to come here at least once to try them out! Aside from the tacos, we also ordered the Prickly Pear Margarita which was pretty tasty which can easily pass for a daiquiri. You can definitely taste the alcohol in it, but not overpowering. I'll definitely be making my way back to this establishment to get some tacos if i'm craving some other than Taco Bell! PS... They provide a complimentary taco on Tuesday per customer for each order!

Their rock tacos are divineeeeeee. I think they're the best--at least in Metairie. They stuff the tacos with A LOT of meat. 3 tacos to an order may not seem like much, but the order is easily shareable for me (and I love to eat). The meat is always seasoned to perfection. The consomé has a rich, beef broth flavor. It's just an all around great dish! Pair this with a side of guacamole, and you're all set! I've gotten delivery the few times I've tried this place, so I cannot really attest to customer service, atmosphere, etc. However, if you're looking to try some flavorful and hearty birria y consomé, give this place a try! UPDATE: tried the grilled shrimp tacos. AMAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAZING. The shrimp were cooked perfectly. The tacos were hearty. Omg. I don't know which taco I like more now!

I was pretty skeptical about this pace as it said "best Birria in Louisiana" but after trying it, I'll give them the benefit of the doubt. This place was great. Friendly service, good salsa selection and great food. Would definitely return!

I stopped by Pacos Tacos to redeem a coupon offered on Facebook for their Rock Tacos. The Rock Tacos are their version of birria tacos. I wanted to order chips and salsa or queso. Sadly, the guy told me they currently didn't have that option but would be getting it soon. Something that I look forward to. None the less, the Rock Tacos were delicious. Hot, fresh and cooked to order. The staff was very friendly and service was prompt. This isn't my first visit to Pacos Tacos as I have been before, but I definitely look forward to returning. A huge thank you to the staff for providing such a great offer!

The birria tacos are good here. So are some of their other selections. Service is not great, not the friendliest. I definitely recommend getting your orders to go as the music is way too loud and is vey droning. On top of the open kitchen playing different music. It's makes this a very unpleasant place to eat. Overall the food is good. Take it home and enjoy.

My only complaint is that I only get 2 pacos tacos in an order. Other than that everything is good and made fresh to order. This is my second time eating at this establishment. The first time I ordered the rock tacos, they were delicious as well. The staff is very wonderful and helpful. Perfect for date night with friends or family.

Was craving birria tacos and I decided to give this spot a shot. I ended up doing pickup through door dash. My food was literally done in about 20 minutes. I got one order of the rock tacos and I absolutely loved them! Not too much onion... they were perfect! The food was fresh and the pricing was reasonable. Next time I def want to go eat inside and see how the customer service is.

Randomly decided that I wanted tacos on a Tuesday so I made my way here! It's small establishment and limited (tight) parking and they offer dine- in service as well! I ordered 3 rock tacos to-go with a prickly pear margarita! EVERYTHING was AMAZING! I was stuffed after the second taco but I made myself eat the last one (don't shame)! The margarita is super good but strong so I definitely couldn't finish it in one night. I will be back!!!

Today was the first time I've eaten here i a while. It was also the first day I ate it there. First, the prickly pear margarita is awesome. I'm not a regular drinker so I really hit me! I tried the margarita flavor, it was too tart for me. A mix of the 2 was really good as well. The tacos..............I had the 5 for $11. I had the steak and pork. I'm so glad to see their condiment bar open. During Covid, they had EVERYTHING in little bags for you to take. The Mrs. had the Rock tacos. They fry the flour tortilla and put a cheese scab in it. They were incredibly delicious!!! They have trompo!!! They don't do side items , just tacos!! They remind me of when I walked out of a bar in Matamoros Mexico just across the border from Brownsville , TX. There was a little old lady with a taco cart. These are the same size and everything is FRESH, just like the old lady had. You can see them making your food! What a great little spot in Metry!!!

Tacos are legit! The margaritas were delicious! The ribeye taco is a definite 10/10!

In Metairie to take granddaughter to an appointment and looking for a nice place to eat tacos. Very quaint, and the girl taking our order could not have been nicer. GD ordered the Rock Tacos and I had the platter of five with three brisket and two pork. The sauces to use had a very nice kick to them but yet not overpowering - great flavor but yes spicy. We also had the queso and we try many different Mexican-style places and this may have been the best queso. My platter had some caramelized onions that adorned my platter, and WOW they were perfect. Atmosphere was very quaint, and would like to try one of their margaritas next time. Highly recommend it.

Based on a takeout order only - but the Dog House burrito covered in cheese was really good. I got it with Birria beef inside and the only thing I was disappointed about is that they didn't include any consommé with the burrito, which I believe is an add on for one of their most expensive menu items. Aside from that misstep on my part would recommend if you are looking for this type of thing.

Everyone has been ranting and raving about this place. Not sure why. I did a take out order and got the choose 5 taco entree. I chose 3 birria & 2 carne asada. The birria tacos were okay. But the steak chunks were too chewy and dry so the carne asada wasn't enjoyable. It was hard to decipher which order was which since nothing was labeled and as you can see cheese and onions were thrown on top of the tacos making it one big mess. I don't think I'll try it again.

I'm from California and this place is easily better than 75% of the spots there. Birria was great and Horchata was amazing. Service was quick and cool people behind the counter. Definitely recommend

Food was very delicious. I had the Rock Tacos with the dipping sauce . The service was fast and the people were very friendly. The place was nice . The only thing I wish I would have known was that they had a condiment bar with different toppings and sauces. They need to let people know

If you are in Metairie you have to stop by here! It's the perfect fix after a afternoon of shopping. The women making the tacos sing while the work and are super friendly. They do not skimp on the meat and the namesake tacos, paco's tacos are delicious and unique. They are heavy handed on the onions so be aware of you don't like grilled onions. The rock tacos are fried, like old school crunchy tacos and the quesadillas is pure cheesy goodness. They also have a prickly pear margarita which is on the sweet side but perfect when mixed with original.

My review never uploaded noooo!! I usually like to do my reviews breaking down each thing I ate; at pacos I ate every taco type (except seafood, I don't eat seafood). So let's go off the beaten path for this one I'm a huge Mexican/Spanish food fan, I eat tacos everywhere. Since moving back here after college I had a lot to catch up on, yet I've noticed a trend, a ton of "trendy" taco joints that just miss the mark. These place try to stand out, are outrageously priced, and their *flair* usually works to their detriment. Enter Paco's Tacos First off girl at the counter: you're an all-star and friendly doesn't begin to describe it. Every taco was a 10/10 from here, and that's no joke. Prices? Fair, affordable, doesn't scare the customer away. Paco's says "take that fruit out your queso you hippie" and "go sell that frozen food in a freezer aisle". I have high standards for tacos, that's no secret to anyone that knows me. Funny enough I came here for Al Pastor, and only got a "pork" taco, and you know what? Another dinger from Paco's, 10/10. It is with great honor that I bestow this establishment with an award that means nothing to anybody else, but this restaurant absolutely earned it from me The Best Tacos in New Orleans - some guy on Yelp Keep it up over there, you're doing it all perfect.

A local friend recommended this taco shop during my NOLA weekend trip, which led us to coming here. Everything was delicious. From the quesadillas, tacos, tostadas, all of the above was out of this world! Fast service and clean area. There is a bar for extras, such as toppings and you can get how much ever you like. Highly recommend this place for legit tacos, perfect size, and meat portions are generous.

Very good food and loved how quick we ordered and we're barely getting to sit down and our order was ready. The Jamica water was really good and probably some of the best I have had.

I went there recently and have been there at least 6-7 times more along with telling my friends. I am completely hooked on the rock tacos and can't wait to try more. The staff is extremely nice and even signed me up for the rewards program....where I've already got $5 off!
