"This small restaurant’s namesake dish is definitely a must-try, but people also talk about the jalapeño wings, spicy mayo shrimp, and Thai Fury fried rice. Thai and Chinese lunch specials at the popular strip mall spot all run between $10-$12." - Eater Staff, Delia Jo Ramsey

I ordered food through Uber Eats and it was delicious! I had the chicken Pad Thai. I chose spice level 3 out of 5 — it was a bit spicy, but the flavor was so good that I almost finished it all. The chicken was tender too. The only downside was that there were no fork or spoon included, so I had to go to the hotel front desk to get a fork. 😄

I have been coming to Pad Thai Cafe for 2-3 years now and have not been disappointed with their service. This is by far my favorite Thai restaurant I have been to. Not only is the food always delicious, but it's also super affordable with generous portion sizes. The staff here is also extremely kind and friendly as well as attentive when it comes to us guests. I have never had a bad experience with food quality or service in the past years I’ve been here! :)

Google
I drove 75 miles because I REALLY wanted to try this Thai Restaurant out as I heard from a bunch of my friends that it’s THE BEST in the Murfreesboro area. I gotta say, that they were VERY RIGHT about that! This had to be THE BEST Thai food Ive ever eaten! I ordered the Pad Thai shrimp fried rice with a side of lo mein noodles whereas two of my friends iirc, ordered jalapeno boneless chicken and pad thai chicken fried rice. Overall? I would DEFINITELY recommend this place as well as come here again! The atmosphere was very lovely and the interior REALLY made me feel like I was in Thailand! The employees there were very polite! I didn’t wait a long time for my food. I honestly have no complaints about this place! If anyone ever finds themselves in the Murfreesboro TN area? DEFINITELY check this place out! You will not be disappointed! (PS: if the owners are reading this, I was the one who paid my bill in $2 bills and left a tip for the waiter in $1 coins😝🤣).

Google
Excellent food and atmosphere! The inside was decorated with plants and bamboo along with mood lighting. The food was incredible with high quality authentic flavor. The Thai Tea was delicious too!

Google
Ate here with some friends of mine and good grief; this place is amazing. Dynamite wings were like succulent morsels of sweet and spicy goodness. Drunken noodles gave me a good buzz with the right amount of heat in it. I am pretty sure Galileo was an idiot because the universe revolves around this freaking place.

Marvin Redden

Google
Food was excellent server brought everything out hot and a really nice presentable bowl. I definitely like the bowl way better then my noodles coming out on a plate. So much easier to mix everything together 😁

Robert Evras

Google
This is the type of place where the chef will be popping out to say hi because he knows that food is amazing. He has no reason to hide in the kitchen...Very strong food!

Google
Best Thai restaurant in town! It has always been my family and I go to Thai restaurant. The jalapeño wings are the best here. Everything here is delicious! The place gets packed up very fast, so make sure plan accordingly. Jalapeño wings: 10/10 Crispy and juicy, very nicely seasoned every time Duck noodle soup: 8.5/10 Tender duck meat and noodles, the broth tastes very clean Panang curry: 9/10 The flavors were phenomenal. Sweet, buttery and a bit of spice Pad Thai: 7/10 A bit too sweet for me, but the flavors were really good Drunken noodles: 8,5/10 Definitely add some spice for the extra flavor, a good balance of sweet and savory Shrimp summer roll: 7.5/10 Wrapped in rice paper, topped with rice noodles, shrimp and lettuce with peanut butter sauce. Wish there was more sauce on there

Yelp
Absolutely Delicious!! The service was great, the food came out hot and we have enough for 2 more meals. This is by far my new Favorite Thai restaurant!

Christine L.

Yelp
Wow, a hidden GEM! Amazing and authentic Thai/Laos cuisine. Drunken noodles and pad Thai noodles were some of the best I've ever had! They were so so flavorful and juicy and I was so impressed. Every bite was amazing. On the drunken noodles, they put fresh cucumbers on top and I really enjoyed that. If you like crab rangoons, you have to get them here! They're in a thin wrapper fried but the filling is so smooth and tasty. Also one of the best crab rangoons I've ever had! They do have bacon in them and thats probably the special ingredient. I also go the shrimp Tom yum soup and they give big pieces of shrimp. The Tom Yum was delicious, hot and a little sour, lots of lemongrass.

Mike A.

Yelp
Here's how you get 1*, before your food is even tried by the customer. 1. Add a 5% charge for carry out 2. Be 20 minutes later than the promised time. 3. Don't apologize for delivering the food late. Looks like you have a successful restaurant, so you probably won't miss me.

Yelp
From the moment I scoured Yelp for authentic Thai food and stumbled upon Pad Thai Cafe, my excitement was piqued by the promising photos of their dishes. The ordering process was impressively swift, easy, and hassle-free. A noticeable aspect was their transparent pricing policy, with a sign indicating a 5% surcharge for takeout orders and an additional 3% for credit card payments--though the latter could be sidestepped by opting for cash. Initially skeptical about the takeout fee, my concern dissipated once I saw the careful packaging of my order, justifying the cost for the added convenience. One unique feature of Pad Thai Cafe is their open kitchen, allowing patrons a peek into their culinary world. Although the ambiance was marred slightly by an unconventional black light setup, it was more of a quirky footnote rather than a dealbreaker. The restaurant boasted a clean, welcoming atmosphere with a moderate noise level, though be forewarned--the parking lot may pose a challenge due to its limited capacity. Now, let's talk about the main event: the food. It was nothing short of amazing. The fried rice was a flavorful masterpiece, with perfectly seasoned fried rice, onions, bean sprouts, and spices all melding together in harmony. The portion was generously sized, easily sufficient for two. This visit left me eagerly anticipating my next culinary adventure with their menu. Pad Thai Cafe serves as an excellent choice for a cozy date night or a casual family dinner. Despite minor quibbles, my experience was overwhelmingly positive, making it a spot I'd gladly recommend to anyone in search of a genuine taste of Thailand.

Victor S.

Yelp
The food was amazing!! Very fresh, served hot. Service was fantastic. A big shout out to Elijah for making the dinner a great experience just for being so kind. Small, yet cute restaurant with an upbeat ambiance. I had the Mongolian beef and it was perfect. Keep up the great work.

Aireal S.

Yelp
I haven't been here in years but it was just as amazing as I remember. Service is quick and friendly , they all help each other out. They have a variety of things to choose from on the food and drink menu. One of my old favorites are wings - they're super crispy and very flavorful! The pad Thai & drunken noodles are always good. It's an intimate spot with a dark cozy atmosphere. Highly recommend.

Nash W.

Yelp
I went into the Asian Mini Market today not even knowing the restaurant was attached. I found everything I needed at the store and the cashier, Elijah, enticed me into the Cafe. I saw Pad Thai on the menu and thought why not. I ordered a chicken and a tofu pad Thai. Both were very good. Nice solid portions and fresh flavors!! I ordered a 3 (1-5 for hot levels) and it was perfect on the heat!! Everything about it was good and tasty. I'll definitely throw this stop in my mix.

Susan K.

Yelp
I honestly wasn't expecting much here as we are driving through to get to Nashville. However, they have large portions and the food was delicious! The waiter recommended the wings and I am so glad we tried it! Everything was so tasty!!! I will definitely miss the food since we live hours away! The food came out quickly and they also had amazing service! Five stars!! I highly recommend this place!

Mike V.

Yelp
Pad Thai Cafe is my most favorite restaurant in all of Murfreesboro! I absolutely love every dish on the menu, but have about Five favorites that I lean towards because of the amazing flavors. I so wish that I could cook Thai/Lao food this well. I have been coming here for the entire 14 years of living in Murfreesboro and have introduced so many people to this place, because you want to share the things you love with others. The service has always been top notch! Tommy is an amazing chef and Christian always makes you smile and feel at home. All of the staff are great. I also love the comfortable ambience of the restaurant, it feels like you've walked into your own home! The only thing that stinks is when you are one of the ones waiting to get in because it is such a hot spot now, that it gets packed quickly and often! But it's always worth the wait!!!

Sara M.

Yelp
Great food generally speaking. Lately, we have noticed a bit of a change in terms of there not being as much flavor though. It's still good, but expect a long wait for takeout if you call on a weeknight or weekend. Sometimes it is hard to get through to place an order, but the food is worth the effort to keep trying!

Luis M.

Yelp
Pad Thai Cafe is our Middle Tennessee treasure, consistently delivering a burst of flavors that feels like a journey to a Thai food paradise. The moment you step in, the aroma is like a passport to a jungle of freshly made delights from Thailand. Every dish, without exception, is a burst of robust, authentic flavors that never fail to delight. Even the pho , an unexpected treat on a Thai menu, resonates with authenticity. Despite the cozy size of the place, the ambiance is always a pleasure. While service is generally good, today's experience with former sailor Elijah elevated it to greatness. Although we now live 45 minutes away from Murfreesboro, the sheer brilliance of this culinary gem has us willingly making the drive. Pad Thai Cafe, you are an extraordinary masterpiece, and we're grateful to have found you!

Johnny S.

Yelp
Best Thai place in Murfreesboro! My wife loves their pad Thai. I like their wings and curry. The dishes are fresh and flavorful. The restaurant is very small and they are connected to a small grocery store. The service is good here, no complaints.

Lynn E.

Yelp
Everyone's favorite, for a reason! Great food. Hubby orders extra just to take home. It's also a cute restaurant, simple but charming with great servers and a nice vibe.

Carl H.

Yelp
Great food and plenty of it. Service is good and the atmosphere is really nice! Place is a bit small but it adds to its charm!

Denise G.

Yelp
The best pad Thai in town. It's so good and great service always! I won't go anywhere else now that I've discovered this restaurant.

Shreya G.

Yelp
Recently ordered from here and the food was amazing! We had it delivered through Uber eats but it was quite quick. The crab Rangoons are delicious! We got the pineapple fried rice and the pad kee mao. The rice could use more spice by the noodles were delicious! We've ordered from here multiple times since then- the food has been great every time and the portions big!

Adam R.

Yelp
100%, hands-down, the absolute best Thai/Asian style food in all of Tennessee. Always 100% fresh, cooked to order, and beyond delicious. Small place with only about 10 tables, and it fills up quick! Some nights they even sell out and have to close up early. It's that good. Have been about 7-8 times now, and I honestly think it gets better every time!

Kimmy S.

Yelp
This is probably one of the best Thai restaurants in murfressboro. Everything I've tried here has been super good! We usually order to go since the restaurant is super small and it can fill up quick. My personal favorites are the pad thai and yum salad. The flavors here are just dynamite lol

Angkear K.

Yelp
This place is amazing! It's a small corner cafe that provides great service! The inside has few small tables that makes it feel cozy. I always come here and get pad see ew with tofu and it's been 5/5 everytime! Make sure you come early because parking is always packed.

The Hungry Wonderland W.

Yelp
The first time I went here I came back within a week. My favorite Thai restaurant in Murfreesboro. The fried chicken is cooked to perfection. My first time trying pad Thai and it was amazing. Very cozy and welcoming restaurant.

Alex D.

Yelp
Food is always great. Sometimes can take an hour to prepare but well worth the wait for carry out and dine in

Kristi J.

Yelp
Nice, small place that serves great Thai food. Simple easy parking to dine in or take out.

Molly P.

Yelp
Always a wonderful stop when I pass through Murfreesboro. The tasty shrimp is such a delicious combination of freshness from the lemon grass, yet crunchy with the fried wrapper. Their pad see ew is the metric I use with all other restaurants because it is always so good!

Joe L.

Yelp
Visited Pad Thai Café for a late lunch today, a small place in a strip plaza. Sadly, I've driven by it so many times and never noticed the place. Ordered a BeerLao (really good Laotian lager), a small Tom-yum Chicken soup, and the specialty of the house...Thai Dynamite at Level 1 spice. The soup and the meal came out together...so I dug into both at the same time. I'm not easily impressed, but when the soup was cool enough to eat I was blown away. The broth is "comfort in a bowl" with fragrant herbs, spices, diced vegetables still holding their bite, and tender chunks of chicken. This bowl of delight ranks as one of the best I've had in a very long time. The Thai Dynamite was just that...explosive. I ordered the combination version with chicken, beef, and shrimp. I am glad I went with Level 1, it allowed me to experience a little heat but still enjoy all of the incredible flavors in this dish. The meats have a special flavor and texture I assume comes from the frying part of the process...it really adds to the dish. Your palate will experience so many sensations and textures, from the fried rice to the lightly cooked vegetables...all bathed in a wonderfully sweet, sour, and spicy basil sauce. I must admit...this dish really impressed me. I cannot remember a time when a dish had so many combinations of flavors and textures. Exceptional food and solid service...looking forward to trying some of the noodle items. They also have a small grocery next door with a variety of Asian food and vegetables...well worth a visit to stock your shelves at home.

Leslie R.

Yelp
My husband loves this place. I enjoy it but it's a little too garlicy for me. I would ask them to go light on the sauce as well if you're ordering something that has sauce. I love their gyoza's, I like them extra crispy. They give you a decent amount of food, and good prices. The staff are super friendly!

Monika C.

Yelp
fantastic! It surprised us. Food smells good and tastes authentic. The owner needs to buy the next door building and make the restaurant bigger

Dylan P.

Yelp
Pad Thai doesn't seem like much but it's probably the best that Murfreesboro has to offer. It's one of the better restaurants in all of Murfreesboro. They have a pretty extensive menu with a lot of options that don't disappoint. Sesame chicken and pho is our favorites. Don't grab the fortune cookies at the front. They are all stale lol

Tony M.

Yelp
The best restaurant in the area! It is a small location with limited seating and great popularity, so the line and the wait can be a while if you did not plan ahead whether dinning in or taking out. I assure you, they are worth the wait! Casual ambience, hard working staff, and stellar food quality. My favorite is the Drunken noodles, the curry, and the chicken wings. On that note, the wings here.... leave other wings in the dust!

Cheryl T.

Yelp
What a wonderful restaurant! We wanted Pad Thai, and this restaurant came up with great reviews. They totally deserve 5 stars. Great service and great food! Good flavor.

Daniel T.

Yelp
I dined at Pad Thai Cafe on Friday, January 27, 2023 at 7:30 pm. I'm a frequent diner at Pad Thai Cafe and have eaten here for both lunch and dinner. I can say that despite how very busy it gets during peak hours, the service and food quality is generally consistent. Just be prepared to wait a while, but it will definitely be worth the wait. The papaya salad had the authentic flavor profile that is not too fishy and right amount of level of spice as requested. The crispy ginger pepper squid had good seasoning, but the texture wasn't there. I'd prefer the squid to be crispy. The wings variant had a nice balance of seasoning between sweetness, saltiness, and pepperyness. The wings were crispy and perfectly cooked. I highly recommend the wings over the squid. The Thai style fried rice was average. It did come much later than the rest of the orders. I felt like it could use a bit more seasoning and time on the wok as it was missing that smoky char flavor. The spring rolls were fresh and make a good starter to any heavy meal. Service was pretty good given how busy they are. Our table was regularly checked on - probably because our table was in the front. If you have a party of 5+ people, they charge an automatic 18% gratuity. So be careful when you're about to pay and they ask if you want to add additional tip.

Dale N.

Yelp
Always good, always busy, always consistent. Excellent Thai food with accompanying Asian Mini Market. This place has been around for years and is Murfreesboro's go to Thai restaurant. During busiest hours expect takeout wait times of over an hour so plan accordingly. Offer many off menu items as well. The dining area is small tight and quaint.

KG W.

Yelp
Had Pad Thai Cafe after getting a recommendation from a friend. The hype is real and the customer service backs it up. We had Elijah today and everything from his service to our food was top notch. We had Tofu Pad Thai, jalapeño - salt and pepper wings, and Tom kha soup. Everything was hot and fresh and delicious. We have lived in the north east of the country and in Hawaii. This was the best asian cuisine we have ever had. Highly recommend and will definitely be back!

An T.

Yelp
Dine-in: Wednesday 5/31/23 12:45p I went to Pad Thai Cafe for lunch. Usually, it's pretty busy during lunch, but today we were able to get a table right when we walked in. I had been to Pad Thai Cafe many time back when it only had the restaurant, but now it's opened a grocery store next door. The restaurant serves typical Thai food as well as some chef's specialty dishes. We ordered a handful of dishes to share, and a couple of the highlight dishes were the Jalapeño Wings, Yum Salad, and Fresh Spring Rolls. Jalapeño Wings are crispy, salty and a hint of sweet, together with onions and jalapeños. We typically order Papaya Salad, but they were out, so we switched to Yum Salad- Beef. It's surprisingly good, light, refreshing, and packed with flavor. Serve it with romaine lettuce leaves. Fresh Spring Rolls- Shrimp, a perfect starter option, shareable, it's consists of cucumber, lettuce, noodle and shrimp, rolled in a rice paper and served with sweet and sour sauce. Overall, the food is delicious, the service is great. However, parking can be difficult during peak hours. The restaurant has limited seating, so it may be a challenge to accommodate big parties. During rush hour, it will be difficult to get a table without a long wait.

Jeruby M.

Yelp
The food here is AMAZING!!! My best friend and I used to come here all the time and order Pad See Ew. We stopped coming for a while because it's so far from us, but we came back and it STILLL tastes good. I love the cafe vibe and how small and cozy it is, and the service is always good. I would recommend anyone to come here if you want good thai food and wonderful service.

Julian R.

Yelp
This Thai basil dish with tofu and fried rice was so fire !!! It's one of the best dishes that I've had in Tennessee. This is a just go to place. I also enjoyed the Thai tea. The flavors at this joint are legit. It is a really small family owned restaurant. The staff were friendly and the ever customer looked happy eating their meals. I can't wait to go back!

Ann K.

Yelp
Always delicious and huge servings. I always take home leftovers, enough for 2 more meals! The wait staff is very congenial and friendly, remembering customers from only a couple of visits.

Keith W.

Yelp
Pad Thai has been around for years. In this time here in the south, they have learned to curate their heat levels appropriately, however when you want Tiger Cry, you get Tiger cry!

Camden M.

Yelp
Best Thai food in Murfreesboro, it isn't always the fastest, but it's cheap and very good

Lauren D.

Yelp
My absolute favorite restaurant and I absolutely do not mind driving 40 minutes to get it. I've tried a majority of the menu and everything has been delicious. The service has always been quick and friendly. It may not look like much, but this place is the real deal.

Kendra W.

Yelp
Won't answer phone, number just rings then ask for access code. Can't order online. Very frustrating as it is a 40 min drive

Isaac B.

Yelp
Pad Thai Café has been my favorite Thai restaurant for going on five years; Tommy & his crew consistently cook & serve the best Thai food I've ever had. Service is always fast and friendly (thank you Angela!) and the prices are always reasonable. Spice levels tend to run a bit hotter than similar restaurants in the area - I would recommend the Thai Dynamite Chicken, but everything I've tried has been fantastic!

Marcelo F.

Yelp
They are easily the best restaurant in Murfreesboro and the best Thai I visited in my whole life.

Sharon H.

Yelp
I have been going to Phad Thai for 8 years. Love it...however this time I was very unhappy with my take out. I always order green curry #1 heat. I was told I could not get #1 the lowest heat was #2. I agreed. It was soooooooooooo hot I could not eat it. I don't know if there is a new chef or if they changed green curry product but makes me wonder what happened. I hope other menu items have not changed. I was not happy to throw away the dish that I spent $16 on.

Soukny T.

Yelp
Latest visit on Mar 15, 2023. I come here with friends and family all the time. The food is great. Honestly the portions do sometime vary but for the most part that and the flavors are consistent. It's not recommended for large parties unless you can reserve in advance, but it can be hard since they seem to never answer the phone. The phone is always ringing when I'm there and half the time no one answers. Some customers even come in to place takeout orders with complaints that 'no one answered so they had to come in'. Wait times are long too which shows how great the food is since ppl choose to either wait or physically come in to take orders. The owners are awesome and makes an effort to check on their dining customers when they catch a break. Servers are ok, some better than others. The restaurant is shaped like a long rectangle, there being 3 two seater tables and bar top on one side, then 2 1/2 booths for four, a small circular table seating two or three, and 2 group seating in the front for parties larger than 4. At night is on the darker side but there's enough light. If you are planning to come with a group it's best to car pool. The shared lot is on the smaller end. My favorite appetizers, the wings (salt & pepper w/ jalapeño spices) or salt and pepper shrimp and squid, are shareable! I just order them for my main entrée + rice for an extra charge. Also good are the fresh spring rolls (some places call them summer rolls), these are cut in half on top of a homemade sweet&sour/hoisin sauce mixture. If you like curry, I love the green curry because of the veggies and spice . The thai tea here is good, the size is comparable to a Starbucks Venti cup. They have lunch deals and sometimes dinner specials too just be sure to ask!

Tahseen H.

Yelp
We went exactly at 4pm when they opened after their lunch break and it was packed already which showed how popular they are in the area. Understandably so as the food was very good as well. The presentation, service, quality, ambiance, everything was very good. Drove 40 mins for this and it was completely worth it!

Dee A.

Yelp
Every time I have eaten, their food is amazing, and the service is great. The best experience try it. You won't be disappointed.

Edwin A.

Yelp
Very small dining room. Good luck if they are busy, and they are usually busy. The food is great and is so good, it makes small dining room worth the trouble.

Aura G.

Yelp
This is my go to spot for Thai in Murfreesboro! I've tried numerous Thai places here, and this comes out on top. Do not be fooled by its size. Although the place itself and parking area was small, the food was delicious. I went on a Wednesday night and it was packed. Despite that fact, we were promptly served and received our food in a timely manner. I loved the modern and traditional fusion look inside with the Thai decor and colored lighting. My boyfriend and I got chicken pad see ew, chicken drunken noodles, sweet and sour wings, and bacon and mozzarella crab rangoons (not pictured). I almost always get pad see ew when I order Thai food, so I was delighted by the perfect ratio of noodles to meat to veggies. If you like spice, level 2 is perfect to get that kick and still enjoy the flavors in your food. Also, the portion sizes for everything were incredible! We had plenty of leftovers to bring home. If you get an appetizer, get the wings. You will not regret it.

Bob W.

Yelp
Best Thai in all of Nashville. Wonderful service. Small and always crowded but worth the wait.
