Really good food. Both quality and quantity wise. Atmosphere is good too. Service is prompt.

Google
I love the food here and the people running the place are so friendly and kind! I have gone here twice now and every time I am satisfied with my food! I would recommend this place to all of my friends & family ❤️ also before I forget, I LOVE THEIR THAI TEA 😋

Robert Bright

Google
Friendly service and the food was out of this world good! Thank you so very much! The prices were perfectly reasonable, quick service and I'll definitely be back! I have plenty of leftovers. 😆

Google
The Pad Se Ew and Flaming Beef (in photo) were both incredible. I would especially recommend the Pad Se Ew.

Google
Great place love eating family style. Americans expect amazing service but in Thailand this is amazing service. Let me eat my food have my conversations bug me super minimally. Food has been awesome every single time a go. Never had a bad plate and tried multiple dishes

Google
I love Pad Thai Kitchen. The food is great, the staff is friendly, the portions are large and the prices are very reasonable. I've been happy with everything I've ordered here, but I especially love their Basil Fried Rice. It's my favorite of anywhere I've ordered that dish. Pad Thai Kitchen has been in my regular rotation for years I highly recommend them.

Google
Our favorite Thai food place! They never disappoint! Vegetarian and vegan options available. Servers are happy to help and ask if eggs or dairy are ok. Prices are reasonable for the quality and portions served. Service is fast. Thai iced coffee here is as crave worthy as the food. This is one of our go to places. Definitely a favorite.

02/15/19: 4.75 out of 5 - This was a suggestion from a friend and runner from my Saturday Run Group. So, we decided to check out Pad Thai Kitchen for after my Wednesday Run Group. The restaurant was actually easy to find but with little parking available. The interior has a cozy ambiance about it. The decor has some resemblance to Thai culture. Also, there are outdoor tables for those who likes to be in the elements. The staff at Pad Thai Kitchen are kind and very attentive without being intrusive. This place does make very good Thai food with the exception of not enough heat, but understandably, they do cook and serve the demographic. My only gripe about the place is that the bathroom can be better kept. If they kept it more clean and do something about the tag marks. Regardless, Pad Thai Kitchen still is a great place with very tasty food. Definitely worth a try and decide for yourself. Enjoy!

Yelp
Best "non-fancy" Thai food in Portland. I speak to the food only and not the ambiance. I have done take-out here only.

Yelp
Ordered food for delivery. Delivery was great. Food arrived packaged well and the food was hot. I ordered Pad Thai with beef and extra beef, hot. It was the worst Pad Thai I've ever had. It's bland and has no flavor. The beef doesn't taste like it has any type of seasoning either. I will update my review when I try the salad rolls. I will not be eating here again. You get what you pay for.

Yelp
I got severe food poisoning last night from this place. Ordered the yellow curry w/ tofu + veggies. I've now seen other reviews about cleanliness.

Yelp
I really loved the Pad Thai noodles. The people are very friendly and the service is very good. They have a nice menu with lots of selection to choose from. The next time I'm in Portland I'm definitely going here for another good meal.

Yelp
Food was delicious. Staff was great and vibe was cool. Pad Se Ew could've been a little more seasoned, but everything was good. Salad rolls were delicious as well. I will be returning to try some more options
google avatar

Yelp
Pad woon sen pretty disappointing as it was just pad Thai sauce mixed with broken up glass noodles. Also ordered it mild and it's just a sweet sour no spice at all sauce. The yakisoba noodles are so bland, no sauce mc and sitting in a puddle of lightly flavored water. Portions are huge so that's a plus. Overall disappointed, I was really excited for this meal.
google avatar

Yelp
I just ordered some salad rolls and there were 3 or 4 long hairs in one of them. Super gross. Won't be ordering from here again.
google avatar

Liz P.

Yelp
I heard good things about this place and I tried the khao soi but it was not good the broth was SO SALTY like the saltiest takeout I've ever had and also sour? Not a flavor I was expecting. I didn't taste any curry or any coconut and the noodles they used were very very poor quality. I can't imagine a restaurant deciding to go with those noodles because it definitely made the dish worse. I couldn't eat it at all. I don't want to give 1 star because I only tried 1 dish but I won't go there again.

Yelp
My local buckman go-to. Holllyyy cow. First of all the food is good. Not fancy not like blow your Mind but really really good and very consistent. Those two things do not always happen together especially at these prices. Friendly staff of Aunts and uncles working hard to get in house and to go in the mouths of the people. Fire. And I ordered an old fashioned and sure it's like small ice cubes but it was a cute glass and I got like 4 cherries which for me, is a very cool move. Sweethearts. If you haven't been here come Here. Now.

Yelp
Quotes from a 13 year old while he tries new foods. Want to know what your semi obnoxious child will think of new foods? Let me help and save you the frustration of listening to it yourself based on what mine has to randomly say about his orders. Ordered Basil Salmon after being read the description twice... "Why is there so many plants on this?" "It has a weird after taste." "The basil is so wet." "I really like the onions and the mushrooms." "Seriously though. Why is it so wet? It's like a swamp." "That's a big piece of salmon though!" *please note if he added the rice it came with, it would be less swampy.* Did not finish. 3 out of 5. Also ordered Pot Stickers. "I like the crispy and the meat!" No picture because he ate all of it. Looked like a pot sticker. 5 out of 5.

Yelp
One of my favorite places to get takeout from! The portions are so big, I get multiple meals out of one! My favorites are the pineapple fried rice and the tofu pad thai! The service is quick and they are always so friendly.
google avatar

Yelp
Tasty place. I like the shrimp pad Thai and the wonton soup. They give big portions as well.
google avatar

Gabrielle B.

Yelp
I tried tofu pad Thai at Pad Thai Kitchen and it was 10/10. The tofu was big and cooked well and the noodles were flavorful and had a light smattering of peanuts throughout the dish accompanied by the classics bean sprouts and lime. The dish was delicious and just how it should be, no extra frills. The inside is nice, but it was so cold! It seemed like most people coming in were doing takeout. Our server was nice and didn't check on us throughout the meal but was nearby. The curries on the menu looked scrumptious so I will be trying that next time!
google avatar

Yelp
I am going to keep this short and sweet: this is my favorite pad thai! The pineapple fried rice and tempura vegetables too, simply excellent.

Yelp
Solid Thai food and it has been around for ages and continues to be reliable and solid

Yelp
I was in Portland on a business trip and ordered here for delivery. I always get nervous ordering off Uber eats because Portland has so many great options and I don't want to waste a meal on subpar food. Luckily, this was not the case! Ordered shrimp cashew stir fry and it was delicious. The veggies were still crispy, tons of cashews and fantastic flavor and totally perfect medium spice. I would recommend this place, especially for take out because so many places have overcooked veggies. This place has it figured out!! Give it a try!

Yelp
OMG!!! This place is to die for. We stumbled upon this place, and risked it all since we were not able to get into Kaan. Thank God we could not get into Kaan because this place has great food and our server Mai was phenomenal with her suggestions. We had the crab fried and some wings. To be precise we ordered 2 crab fried rice.

Yelp
Love this place! We live nearby and order probably once a month, and every time the order is correct and the service is amazing. The food itself is wonderful! Very quick to go times and in service dining has always been a great experience.

Elleyce D.

Yelp
Just left here service was horrible and displeasing . Workers may have been racist who know they definitely had attitudes. I Paid with card so I prefer to cash tip instead on the table before I go . While I was finishing my tea the worker came to my table demanding a tip Telling me how am I going to pay the tip as if it is required literally soliciting a tip After dinner was paid bringing a empty check book back to my table. I will never come back . Shouldn't have left a dime but I hope that 3 dollars was worth it

Yelp
Great Thai food. Everything is made to order. The flaming seafood is a must-try, it comes out on fire and sizzles out. The atmosphere is casual. The decor is spot on. The portions are LARGE. one of our favorite lunch spots

Yelp
There is not a shortage of Thai places in Portland. However, Pad Thai Kitchen manages to rise above the pack consistently with their friendly service, great food, nice interior, and covered back patio. The back patio is not open year-round but it's a nice benefit on those times when it is open as we have found them to be very dog-friendly, going out of their way to bring our dog a water bowl. I particularly like their house fried rice, their pad thai, and their pumpkin curry.

Micaela M.

Yelp
I ordered pad Thai to go and this is what I get. I got purple noodles that taste like pure onions and what looks like Macdonalds chicken nuggets. Definitely need a refund.

Yelp
In SE Portland, the best Thai food in the great lands of Oregon. Now, you may not believe me, but what I am about to submit to you is that this is the best thai food in oregon. Feel free to message me a better spot in oregon and I am willing to revise my position. As a preface, you know those hole in the wall joints that looks shady on the outside. Yes, this is one of those spots; however, do not be deceived. You need to come inside and recognize that it is clean and is welcoming. You will notice that the main people, Paula and Army are super sweet and nice. But honestly, are not the best spots, the ones that make you feel a little bit adventurous : ) Now, back to my main argument. I base my claim, "the best Thai food in the great lands of Oregon" from the orders of pad thai, pad see ew, pad kee mao, pineapple fried rice, and green curry. I have tasted many more, but I rest my case in the list above. Now, I could do a full ESPN the ocho breakdown of each item, but you would still not be convinced. I am saying that Pad Thai Kitchen is the Michael Jordan of thai food. In this way, come, order, and experience the best thai food in Oregon. FYI, the portions are huge! PS. if you don't know where to start. Pad kee mao if you like to handle spicy. Pad see ew and pad thai if you enjoy the noodles.

Yelp
02/15/19: 4.0 out of 5 - I've eaten here before, but the food this time was good. As usual, the staff at Pad Thai Kitchen are kind and very attentive without being intrusive. This place typically does make very good Thai food with the exception of not enough heat, but this time it was okay. Why just 'okay?'. I'm not a fan of green bell pepper in my Thai food... the thing is, I am Thai. Regardless, Pad Thai Kitchen still has the ability to serve very tasty food. Just not this time. However, Pad Thai Kitchen is definitely worth a try and decide for yourself. Enjoy!

Yelp
I've been going here for a year or two now and they always give huge portions and friendly service. The food is okay, there's a lack of vegetables and is heavy on the meat and carbohydrates. I usually order the pineapple fried rice and pad Thai which are both heavy on rice and noodles. This past week it felt like there was less toppings than usual though, and the onions and chicken tasted slightly rancid. And then I spent 5 hours with a killer migraine, and spent the evening over the toilet. I should've trusted my gut when I tasted the difference. I don't know if they're cutting corners due to the pandemic but I generally have a stomach of steel, yet it still made me sick. Normally that would've gotten a one or two star rating but I've been there enough to know that's not what the usual quality is like.

Yelp
One of the best thai spots in portland, per my estimation! Awesome wok hay flavor of the pad see ew . It's not too sweet, and the portions are healthy. Khao Soi is also top notch, not too spicy, curry-enough, and the noodles are bouncy. On the downside, they are always busy! Even when dine-in was closed for COVID, lines and lines for take out. However, recently went in, and it seems the consistency wasn't as good this time around. not sure if cooks changed or something, but I'll go in for second shot and let you know.

Yelp
Ordered off of DoorDash. I was expecting that the food need to be reheated (it happens with delivery ‍). Unfortunately my delivery driver showed up just as my aging dog had an accident in the house. I literally cleaned up after her and reheated my food and it was still delicious! A lot of times reheated Asian noodles are just mush but def not the case here! 100% will try again (and hopefully eat fresh fresh food). Happy overall and looking forward to trying their fresh food and not reheated!

Yelp
I have to say I think I found one of my favorite Thai places in Portland in Pad Thai Kitchen. No, it's not as hip as some of the other more "popular" and reviewed places in Portland, but to me, this is part of its charm. It's underrated and I love it. I've eaten here two twice - once with my family under a reservation and once last minute on a Saturday night when most other places had wait times of more than two hours. In fact, my husband and I had plans to go to AFURI for dumpling week. They don't take reservations. That's always a bad sign to me. He and I arrived in the area and there's absolutely no parking. We drove around for at least 15 to 20 minutes before we finally found a spot on the street. We walked into a AFURI and it was packed to the brim. And then we were told by the hostess that it would be about a two hour wait. So we called other local places - 1 hour wait here, 3 hour wait there. We were wondering if we should call it a night and head home. Then PTK came across my mind so we gave them a call. "Come on in, theres no wait", they said. Hallelujah!! We arrived, they have their own small parking lot so parking was an absolute breeze, and we got seated immediately. Service was quick and friendly, our food came out great, spice level spot on, price point was fair. No complaints at all. See my photos of what I ordered. You can see the quality, the presentation, and the portion size. Amazing!

Yelp
A solid 4.25 stars for our dinner tonight. We ordered takeout, but upon arrival we had a few minutes to kill and thought it would just be easier to eat at a table. They accommodated us with plates and water, which was really nice. The servings were massive. I got the tofu pad thai, which was very good - how pad thai should taste. My wife got the drunken noodle and also enjoyed it. I'd come back here again.
google avatar

Yelp
I hadn't been here in a long time. It's pretty good. I felt like they give a large serving of food. I asked for my pad kee mao spicy and I don't think it was even at the level of Sriracha. I liked my Thai iced tea and the staff was nice. I'd come back to try something else.
google avatar

Nadia R.

Yelp
Found my Thai home!!! I used to frequent another popular Thai place but had some issues with their ability to reliably accommodate substituting for eggplant in their curries (I don't like eggplant) and substituting veggies for rice. This place DOES IT ALL. Prices are phenomenal for the portion sizes (huge). Food quality is high, curries taste SO good and there is attention to detail for things like the tofu in the curry. Who wants raw tofu in their curry? Not me! This place makes the yummiest fried tofu. Hospitality, amazing! We went there after a long week and they took such good care of us. They were patient as we procrastinated ordering because we were so distracted from talking about our week and they accommodated every little request. Lastly, TAKEOUT. Not only are they walking distance from my house but they also do takeout SO WELL. The person answering the phone was polite, succinct, took our order, and allowed us substitutions with no attitude! Hallelujah. Can't say enough good stuff about this place. Come here and try it.

Yelp
I found a roach in my papaya salad this is disgusting. I eat half of it before i found it. I literally almost threw up! DO NOT EAT HERE!!!!!!!

Yelp
Came here for the first time for someone's birthday party. I had high hopes considering I was told, "it's the best you'll have". Upon first impressions, it has a tiny parking lot, small interior, and limited seating. The employees there were nice at least. The food took a little while to come out, but we did come with a large party, so that's excusable. However, the food left a lot to be desired. I ordered the Chicken Pad Thai and requested it to be 4 out of 5 spiciness level. It was not spicy at all, but way too sweet. It lacked that peanut taste to it too. The food was disappointing, but at least the proportions were large. I wanted to like this place, but with the combination of a tiny parking lot and lackluster food, I simply can't. Try it out at your own choice, but it's not a place I'll be recommending.
google avatar

Pattie L.

Yelp
Omg I am drooling just thinking about the food here! We had a group of 8 and all the food came out pretty quickly. The portions were pretty big, enough to share or save for another meal later (we did that and it still tasted pretty darn good). Hands down get the pad Thai! The staff was attentive and friendly. If you're looking for good tasting Thai, you need to make you're way here.

Yelp
(+) Mango Sticky Rice Trying to find some comfortable Thai food in the area, my girlfriend and I stumbled upon Pad Thai Kitchen. We only ordered the mango with sticky rice the first time, but eventually came back and ordered food a few days later. The take out portions are really generous for what you're paying for. I don't know if the portions are just as big for dine-in, but I'm 99% sure they are. Here are some more detailed thoughts of Pad Thai Kitchen: Food: As mentioned before, the mango sticky rice was excellent. The rice was chewy and not overcooked, or undercooked. The mangoes were fresh and each order came with what seemed like a whole mango. The top of the sticky rice is covered with condensed milk. In addition, we ordered the beef pad se ew and basil fried rice with chicken. Both dishes were excellent in flavor! One thing I didn't prefer is how the noodles in the pad se ew were stuck together, so the noodles were thick and difficult to separate. I think they were cooked that way, so I didn't enjoy that aspect of the dish. The basil fried rice tasted great, with pieces of basil and other veggies such as bell peppers, onions, and eggs. A basic fried rice, but pretty good. Service: We ordered over the phone and the person who took my order was kind, even though we called and placed our order 5 minutes before their last call. When we arrived, the food was already ready and the transaction went smoothly and we were off on our merry way! Ambiance: The restaurant is clean and the lights are not too bright, but dimmed to an extent. There are large and small tables, so it is great for groups. Overall, I would come back to Pad Thai Kitchen for their awesome portion sizes, and the kindness of the servers. The food tastes good, but not over the top. This is why I gave a 4/5 stars.
google avatar

George L.

Yelp
Blazing fast service. Ordered online, and the food was done in less than 15 minutes. I walked over from my vacation rental next door after 12-13 minutes, and it was already ready!! Portions were large. Tasty, everything was well prepared. Prices were very reasonable, and they seem to do a ton of carry out. I saw about 8 bags on the table ready to be picked up. Very friendly service too!!!
google avatar

Vallerie M.

Yelp
My favorite Thai place in Portland! The gluten free Pad See Ew is my absolute favorite, and I also love their curries. Quick and professional service, with a convenient location on Belmont (with a parking lot) makes this a great and easy spot to check out!
google avatar

Vivian V.

Yelp
Not sure why some recent reviews have included how this place no longer tastes the same! However, I used to go to this place many years ago and recently have been going back to them and still tastes as delicious as I remembered!!! Food: Pad thai and Drunken noodles is what we usually get! THE PORTION it is HUGE you get what you pay for! Flavor is always ON POINT! Pad Thai is a bit orange colored which what made me skeptical but it is flavorful and has the right taste of sweetness and saltiness. It is not dry or too runny like most places. Most places mistaken pad Thai to be salty! Price: The price range is between 10-12$ it is so cheap compared to so many places like Farmhouse, Nine dang, Eem, etc, that never does their pad Thai dish with justice and overpriced! Pad Thai kitchen gives you so much portion for this price it is unbelievable! Service: All the staff members have been friendly and helpful towards us even via phone.

Yelp
You things are sad when you spend the time eating the food composing the angry review. The tom kha made me think of dirty dishwater but the curry was a little better. The peanut sauce recipe was also upsetting. I have always heard that this place is about the pad thai though, so maybe it's all me. Sorry, PtK. But i cant get my $40 back. Try harder?

Keeley H.

Yelp
We stumbled here after trying to eat at a different Thai restaurant nearby which was unfortunately closed for dine-in. I'm always hesitant to try new Thai places on a whim, but I'm happy to say this place exceeded my expectations. Portion sizes were fairly large, and the main entrees were very fairly priced! They were only $12.50 each for chicken, pork, or beef. Service was great. Our water was constantly refilled. Only thing is the restaurant is a little small and we weren't spaced out between other parties, so if you're not comfortable with that, I'd recommend takeout. A bonus is that they have their own parking lot.
google avatar

Yelp
Great thai food and really fast. We order from there 1-2x week we love it so much. They're also very friendly.

Khadija S.

Yelp
10/10 highly recommended!! Best Thai restaurant hands down. I got the pad thai, super flavorful & saucy. Chefs. Kiss and the crab rangoon. Very good! I'm def going back, I can't wait to try their Tom Kha soup!
google avatar

Yelp
I've been going here forever but their Pad Thai game is seriously weak right now. Tasted like ketchup, sugar and soy sauce. I ordered SPICY and it had zero heat. It's always been consistently pretty good...this was a great disappointment. With so much Thai competition I hope they try to get better. The Pad Prik King is quite tasty, very healthy portions of green beans and is excellent with the beef. Curries are average. The big portions really are the biggest advantage here. I wish it were great but it's just not.

Yelp
Today is my birthday and I decided to stay in and treat myself to Thai food. I ordered from this restaurant and was waiting for it to be delivered... I hadn't eaten all day and I was really looking forward to this until .. They texted to me right before it was to be delivered and told me that they canceled my order. Well happy birthday to me. So no I don't recommend this restaurant and I advise you all to stay away from it. And no reason was given for my order cancellation.

Yelp
Great food, I've been dining here over 14 years. I have an issue with Auto-Grat , I was having dinner with my brother, his 3 year old daughter, my mom and my twin 10 year old daughters when we finished I looked at the total of $89 and added a $20 gratuity without much . It was only after picking up the guest check and credit card receipt that I became aware the server added the gratuity. #1 as a courtesy, tell the guest you added the gratuity. I was leaving a $20 tip. You gave yourself a $13 tip. 3 adults and 3 children equal an Auto-grat of 18% ?

Yelp
I dont know what has changed at this restaurant lately. I used to think this was reliably good Thai food, but my last order was just not good on any level. Like other reviewers have said - the pad thai was covered in too much overpowering sauce and the flavour was sweet savory vinegary - but not what I remember Pad thai being. My partner got the Pad Kee Mao and it was also underfried and limp. The flavour and textures were not right. I dont know what went wrong with this place but I am not ordering here again.
google avatar

Mikhail H.

Yelp
I was hanging out with a friend and we ordered in from here. I was genuinely excited because we ordered Pad Thai...you would truly believe that a place that makes a dish that is most of the name of the restaurant would be good but no.That was actually the worst Pad Thai I have had - how do you have no flavor with those ingredients. But it was like eating air! He was super apologetic but he did not know and had never ordered from there before.

Cecilia C.

Yelp
Sorry but I had high expectations after reading all the 5 star reviews. We ordered the shrimp pad Thai, beef basil fried rice, and the chicken satay. Huge portions, and that's mostly why the three stars. Now when it came to the flavor, my kids and I were not thrilled. The pad Thai didn't even have peanuts? And the sauce was lacking as it tasted bland. The fried rice was a bit better but still on the plain side. I didn't try the chicken satay, but my kids said they were just okay and when I asked if they wanted more, they said, "That's okay."

Yelp
The place is open past 9pm.. The reason why we got here.. The place looks like with a bunch of tables, I doubt they have air conditioning... The door were kept wide open on a hot day! We ordered the fresh Salad rolls, Tom kha soup, drunken noodles and ginger stir fry.. The food arrived on no time! The salad rolls were fat fresh and tasted good with the peanut sauce The soup was good too, mild and pleasant coconut milk with lemongrass flavour The drunken noodles tasted nothing like it and was floating in a pool of oil, did not like it The ginger curry was ok, I was looking for some overpowering flavors of ginger but nothing! It was mild and the portion of rice served alongside was a much bigger portion I have seen in other thai restaurants. Not the best but ok if you are hungry
