Boston’s Best Restaurants for Brazilian Food | Eater Boston

"The brigadeiro (named for Brigadier Eduardo Gomes, whose 1946 presidential campaign sold the confections to raise money) is made by combining sweetened condensed milk, cocoa, and butter to create a sweet, chocolatey paste. Then, it is rolled into balls the size of truffles and coated with chocolate sprinkles. Padaria Brasil in Framingham is best known for its brigadeiro, thanks to a recipe that hasn’t changed in many years. The debate that many have when eating this fudgy delicacy is whether it should be eaten in one bite or two. Head to Padaria Brasil and decide for yourself. And if chocolate isn’t your thing, give Padaria Brasil’s beijinho, or “little kiss,” a try — it’s like the coconut version of a brigadeiro. Padaria Brasil in Framingham is open for takeout and delivery." - Tommy Ranucci

Google
I'm giving 5 stars for its pizza. Padaria Brazil has the best one in Framingham -maybe in the whole metrowest region. The coxinha de galinha is also excellent. It's great to know that everytime I order the quality will be the same and I will not be desapointed

We stopped in for coffee and a treat. They refused to let us use the restroom. I had to pee, so we had to leave.

Google
The desserts are delicious, the service is also great and the attendants are super helpful. I'll be back for sure!

Very nice people, you can get coffee in the evening, and some incredible looking bread and cakes and such.

Google
Do not get a calzone from here. Raw undercooked dough on the bottom. The lady at the counter after I showed her that it’s inedible she says she’ll have the kitchen make a fresh new one. She brings out a hot fresh calzone but guess what, still undercooked! She started explaining it’s because of the sauce that makes the bottom mushy and I should eat it with a knife and fork…. It’s obvious that they just don’t know how to make a calzone. Staff is very friendly though, nice people.

Yelp
Pessimo atendimento!!!!

Yelp
This local bakery and cafe serves up huge portions of tasty Brazilian comfort food. The catupiry sandwich contains a more than generous quantity of seasoned shredded chicken with creamy catupiry cheese and batata palha (crunchy potato sticks), lending it a great textural and flavor profile. My favorite desserts are the ones consisting of Romeu e Julieta, a delightful combination of goiabada (guava paste) and catupiry cheese. Padaria Brasil also accepts orders for specialty cakes, including flavors like doce de leite (dulce de leche) and guava.

Yelp
At first I was surprised at the price, I confess I thought it was expensive... but follow my advice, it's the best Brazilian pizza in the area. A principio eu estranhei o preço, confesso que achei caro... mas segue o meu conselho, é a melhor pizza brasileira da região.

Yelp
I had an egg sandwich on a Portuguese roll. They had so much ham and bacon it was almost 2 sandwiches. Love the fresh roll and bought a loaf of cornbread which only lasted about 48 hours before it was completely eaten by the boys at home!

Yelp
The food is great, but the service is AWFUL! One time I saw the owner yelling at the staff and the manager was being so rude to the customers. I came in a busy day and the line was so long. They could be friendlier. They don't have a fan, so expect to come in and smell like fried chicken until you shower.

Yelp
Delicious, had a great lunch in observation of good Friday the fish was tender. The sauce was creamy and tasty. Very reasonably priced. I went up for two servings. Plenty of veggies at the well stocked Buffett I highly recommend this place Brazilian or not the best,

Yelp
Come for the flan and iced cold coffee with sweetened condensed milk. Sugar heaven. Their flan is nice n creamy but surprisingly not as sweet as the pudim I've had in other Brazilian restaurants. Don't forget to bring a slice of cornbread home, in this case, millet cake. For $3, you get a huge slice of cake which will make for a nice breakfast treat. The bread though wasn't my favorite. I like getting fresh soft bread but the ones they have on the shelf in the seating area was hard. Saw a lot of customers getting their sandwiches and coxinha. Will try them next when I'm in the area. Worth a visit

Yelp
Their food is good and all but expect to have diarrhea almost every time you eat some of their food so I was late to school and I didn't have time to prepare some breakfast so I had the idea to pass by and order some cheese bread of theirs in the car they tasted so good I couldn't stop eating them when I got to school I was already full of their famous cheese bread and I had a very important test while in the middle of that test my stomach started to hurt and my anus started to fill with diarrhea it was like hells gates had just opened in my butthole I had to go to the bathroom and I stayed there for 20 or 25 minutes just sitting there having diarrhea. And I failed my test because of that

Yelp
Flan is delicious , but I was so upset they skipped me from the line. Like excuse me? Do you not see me? Bright red lipstick, purple hair and you still took the order from the guy behind me because he spoke Portuguese? How rude!!! Do you want my money? Do you want tips? I'm a customer too!!!

Yelp
It's the BEST brazilian pizza, the service is very attentive and the delivery super fast! I recommend everything at the bakery, the Chicken pizza with catupiry it's my favorite

Yelp
I'm very pick about flavor, and in this bakery everything is so good. I did a try a big variety of food they serve, every single one test better then the other. I can't pick one to point the best, all of them is so good, yesterday I try the lunch they serve, IT IS SO GOOD. Keep the away it is. God may bless you all.

Yelp
This Bakery has been a staple in Downtown Framingham for over a decade. The food here is delicious and they have multiple locations. It's my go to spot midst many other options in the area.

Yelp
The bakery here is fantastic with passionately prepared home baked food. But what surprised me is how good their burgers are! My god, I have never seen such a unique burger with a Brazilian twist of 3 meats, corn and fried egg and the buns I believe were also home made. The burgers are also massive and super good price!! Come here to try their baked goods but dont forget to try them for lunch too!

Yelp
We spotted this bakery while on our way to another bakery to get some breakfast, I love trying new places and was willing to give it a shot. Firstly, the young lady at the counter spoke broken english, and they didn't really seem to care about helping us. (minus one star) The whole menu was is Portuguese ( I assume), so since we had a language barrier, she grabbed a menu that translated the items (barely!). The definitions were verbatim: pigs in blanket, ham sandwich, chicken pie. Secondly, FALSE ADVERTISING, they store front advertised fresh fruit juice. We were looking forward to that, so when we ordered our mango and pineapple juices respectively. We saw the said young lady walk over to the blender, pick up puck shaped juice concentrate and drop in in the blender, then she proceeded to pour in a steady stream of sugar from a shaker. The question she asked us when ordering was water or milk. It got us a little confused, but then we figured milk based or juice based. She then poured in some water and let 'er rip (soo much for freshly squeezed !) The reason they got three stars from me was because the chicken pie that I asked of off the shelf WAS AWESOME. It had a flaky crust, and when I cut it right in the center, there was a pimento olive. The chicken filling was very savory and good. As I kept digging in to the small portion, I then tripped upon a little pocket of cream cheese. It was like opening a treasure chest. The french bread that we got would have been great to dip is some gravy of sorts, or in some hot tea, or even a luscious curry. I'm sure the dinner roll's are phenomenal. Then next time I'm going to make sure what I want before I walk in( I stole a menu). And this time I will come prepared ...

Yelp
We were kind of in a rush and decided to store by the nearest food place and came across this place. We got an egg burger and chicken sandwich. Food took a while but the sandwiches were good. My burger was a little too well done making it a bit dry, my wife's chicken sandwich was good. Overall this place was average

Yelp
Im not sure what the fuss is about this place, the bakery items are limited and bland. I think the truth is that its just not my style of food, because people are always in and out of here, it is a busy place. It is however one of the only places in downtown framingham where you can walk in and get a cup of coffee if you want to avoid dunkin donuts.

Yelp
My fiancé is Brazilian so every Sunday we take a trip to this Brazilian bakery and enjoy some fried pastries for breakfast. My favorites are the one with fried dough filled with chicken inside and another fried dough with corn and cheese inside! Yummy! Unfortunately I would need my fiancé to come with me to order because they don't really speak English here however they are very friendly!

Yelp
This is my first time writing a review but I'm impressed and amazed enough to do this, I have tried so many Brazilian bakeries in Boston but this one is truly the best one out there! Hands down! Such kind employees and the food is mouth watering good! 100% try it out.

Yelp
The service was terribly awful! The people was rude didnt attendment me and my family well! The food was cold and not fresh!

Yelp
I'm brazilian and i speak portuguese, i ordered a birthday cake at this bakery last year and it was totaly wrong, and a tryed to order this year again and it was the worse cake that i ever had in my hole life, Horrible without sugar, no sweet at all. My friends hated !!! I will never order again !!! DONT BUY A BIRTHDAY CAKE FROM THAT BAKERY IN FRAMINGHAM AND MILFORD !

Klaus R.

Yelp
Some of the treats (like the "salgadinhos") are really good. The sweets are just in the average. But we really don't recommend orders of bigger plates, as they are totally overpriced in terms of what they offer (they prepare the items with almost no meat, and a lot of dough, when they are supposed to have rich fillings of meat - like chicken, beef, etc.). Truly disappointing.

Yelp
Decent selection of bread and baked goods especially compared to the other Brazilian bakeries around. Very few signs on items and they were in Portuguese anyways so I just pointed to order. I ordered a fried Brazilian ground beef coqueta ($1.50), a piece of bread pudding ($1.50) and a cup of yellow juice (they only had that and passion fruit). I didn't know what the juice was but wanted to try something new. It wasn't bad, not very sweet and had a light taste with zero pulp - would be refreshing on a summer day. Coqueta was good, had a very heavy taste and a little too much beef. I liked the crispy dough with tiny chunks of potatoes but also was too greasy. Bread pudding wasn't sweet and had little flavor at all. It was huge for the price and filling. I kept imagining it would be perfect for a foodstuff to give to natural disaster victims to sustain them. You'd definitely get better service here if you spoke Portuguese.

David W.

Yelp
A previous reviewer thought you would get better service if you speak Portuguese. That person is mistaken. I speak fluent Portuguese, my wife is Brazilian and this place is still sub par. There is no place to wash your hands before eating. When we pointed that out that became annoyed and directed us to where the employees wash their hands behind the counter. Their burgers are correct authentic Brazilian style. The cashew juice is $3.50 and badly watered down.
