Paddo Inn

Always a pleasant experience at the Paddo Inn. Had the Sunday roast and was completely impressed by the portion size. Great atmosphere with a jazz band - engaging duo with a lively audience. Lots of different break out areas within the bar and an inside smoko area. A great local with friendly staff, come with friends for, watching live sport or watch the world go by on Oxford Street.

Mixed feelings about the Paddo Inn. We ordered via the app on the table and two of our orders arrived in the expected time, the third order was lost somewhere and almost an hour to sort out. The order receipt was provided various staff and we were told numerous times either the kitchen was busy to the order never went through the to kitchen. The steak finally arrived and it was good and they did comp, but still, not the best service in trying to sort out the order. The schnitzel were a decent meal but they there lukewarm at best and the chips were bordering on cold. The pub is nice and has a warm atmosphere but the indifference of the staff doesn’t scream ‘come back’. Overall disappointing.

I had an amazing experience a few days ago! The atmosphere of the place was really nice, but what truly made the difference was the service from the Latina girl, Katy. From the very beginning, she was kind, attentive, and friendly. You could tell she really knows her job and genuinely cares about giving great service. She recommended drinks based on our preferences, and absolutely nailed it. I couldn’t let more time pass without writing this review, she truly deserves it. Katy is the kind of person who makes you want to come back, not just for the drinks, but for how she makes you feel. 100% recommended.

Great atmosphere and delicious food, got the Seafood pasta & bruschetta

The Paddo Inn is a fun, dog friendly pub with great food, a chilled atmosphere and some really great staff. There is nothing better than sitting in the front bar on a cool but sunny spring Sunday and enjoying some food and wine. Paddington is a strange place - but they do the bars well... and this is one of the best ones on the strip! Love it!

The security sent my friend home. Very fair but took her away and said we can all keep drinking so she can find her own way home. As someone who also works in security this is never how I’d treat someone who is intox. To send a young girl home in the city by herself with no witness to know of her surroundings is awful and out of touch. Like I said, very fair to kick someone out for intox. But in training you make sure this person has a safe way home. Lack of care is very obvious here

Food was really amazing!!! Service was good, atmosphere is great. Very good find as I was just in the area for an errand. Was not disappointed. You get what you pay for so it wasn’t cheap but they sure serve up amazing food. Delicious steak, sides to die for. Spacious interior with high ceilings. Great for groups, as they take bookings. Highly recommended. But a pain to find parking.

We started with Tuna and Linguine for shared with three people and as a main course we had steak with side dishes (steamed vegetables with chips) every menu was so delicious and enough to shared with three of us. Staffs are friendly too!

Stumbled across this pub while waiting to check into our Airbnb . The gentlemen at the bar (a bartender and a manger) sat and talked to my friend and I for a while. It was our first time in Australia and they were answering tons of questions and giving us tons of suggestions for the area . We really appreciated their hospitality while we waited to hear from our Airbnb host. We sat there for maybe an hour and they didn't even press us about ordering anything. My friend did taste some beers and ended up ordering one she really liked . I was still a little jet lagged and was just there to rest from traveling via train and bus with our luggage. Their advice was very useful and we used a lot of it to plan out our days and adventures. If I ever go back to Sydney I'll be sure to stop in and say hello to my new friends.

We've been eating in the restaurant since it's most recent renovation, so I suppose a couple of years. We've had many many meals, and always enjoy our time. Firstly it's elegant, stylish but still with a causal vibe. That's hard to do! Secondly the staff are always pleasent, very knowledgeable and not too serious so you can have a little bit of fun with. And thirdly, the food is always excellent. It's a bit expensive for what it is, but that still doesn't hold us back from regularly going and wholeheartedly recommending.

Such a cute pub! Fun gin promotion going on! Bartenders are friendly, and a great place to grab a cocktail while exploring the awesome Paddington neighborhood! Great market on Saturdays!

The girlfriend and I thought this would make an ideal date location pre-movie. Menu looked nice, and reviews were okay. Ended up being pretty disastrous though - I don't often leave bad reviews, but would encourage people to avoid this place until they sort some things out. To start with, the place is like a sardine tin. We were seated 15cm away from two other couples on either side. Not only did this offer zero privacy, but it was almost impossible to get in and out without knocking things over - something that one of our waiters experienced when they knocked cutlery covered in beetroot all over my shirt. I get that businesses have to make the most of floor space, but seriously, losing a table or two so you don't falsely imprison customers who want to go to the bathroom is probably a good idea. Then we come to the great #winegate of 2016. We ordered 3 glasses at the start of the meal, one before eating, one to come with the entrees, one to come with the mains. The entree glasses never came. We asked two separate waiters. They both assured us they were coming. No wine. Eventually one of our waiters comes back over to ask us what wines we had ordered because they had lost the docket. We no longer have the drinks menu. 5 minutes later the drinks menu arrives. 10 minutes later we have our wines despite not having any food. To their credit - they give us these two glasses free. BUT WAIT! We reminded them during this episode what our main glasses were as well, just to be on the safe side. We receive our mains, no wine. We finish our mains, no wines. We ask for the bill, THE WINES ARRIVE! All of the above is pretty forgivable in a busy restaurant with nice food but here's the kicker - the bill at the end was $190, and the food just ain't all that. The kingfish sashimi and octopus were pretty good - and while I wouldn't recommend you eating here, if you do you should at least get these. Everything else is dangerous - the oysters tasted like nothing other than the rock salt bed they were brought out on; the lamb loin was tender albeit flavourless; the heirloom carrots were on the bland side of subtle. We had an eggplant that tasted vaguely of a jar of Leggos' Arrabbiata. We left, $95 a head worse off - having drunken our wine as though they were palette cleansers for the following course, with beetroot stained shirts to have a drink down the road. The place is over-seated, understaffed, overpriced and under-seasoned. Avoid. At least until it lives up to it's potential.

Having been disappointed with the first couple of pubs that I visited when wondering around Paddington, it was good to finally come across one that I liked (though that was bound to happen sooner or later). There are a mix of beers on tap (ranging from select craft beers to your standard fare - I only ever drink tap beers at pubs) and the prices for a feed are around average. What I really liked about this pub was the courtyard in the middle which had a stairway leading up to a quiet balcony where I could sit in peace and read my book.

An oldie but a goodie. The Paddo Inn is great spot for a Saturday afternoon drink as you watch Sydney's shoppers float past. Smack bam in the centre of Paddington's shopping strip, The Paddington Inn is light and airey. The front bar features huge bay windows that open out to the street and are a great place to sit. The back bar is a great lounge area, dimly-lit with small tables and stools to sit on. As bar's go this isn't the funkiest or the coolest or the newest but it's always a good choice for a good evening out.

Lunch specials are all $15. There are usually a few options and between three of us, we chose two. I had a trout salad and the trout came all chopped up with a really sweet sauce. Not exactly what I had in mind but still very good and a decent size. I wouldn't have it again because of the sweet sauce. The other dish in our group was a calamari dish - deep fried on a salad. Dipping sauce made it a better option (hindsight is always excellent). Not a lot is open in the area (especially on a Monday) and even though I don't consider $15 a 'deal', I like the idea that the food is fresh. I'd go back but be very careful about what I ordered.

Been here a number of times and I've enjoyed every visit. A fine selection of craft beers and really interesting wooden decor that makes you feel comfortable. Big screen TVs for sport too which is a plus Will be back :)

The Paddington in has a great little sun deck out the back, which is perfection the height of summer, sweltering under the beaming light with a cold bulmers or blonde. It's Paddington's little hideaway that serves some great food, with great people and a good vibe. There is no other location that is more central for Paddington, and it's wide street frontage makes it a hard to miss watering hole in the Paddo stretch. It's dimly lit inside, which makes for an intimate vibe, and laid back atmosphere, a great place for groups, and even family lunch's during the day. The food service is of good standard compared to some other pubs in the area, and ordering at the bar is an ease, with the table service being prompt and friendly.

As pub as pub can be. Came by for a late lunch...tasty burger and crispy calamari. Nice space. Done.

The Paddington Inn on the corner of Oxford and William Street in Paddington is a popular place for Oxford Street shoppers looking for a pit stop drink and maybe a bite to eat. The street level bar is surrounded by windows so you can keep an eye on what's happening out on the street if you feel you're still missing out or want to people watch although if you want to get away from it all then maybe head to the downstairs bar. On the way down there you'll go past a small courtyard area which is wedged in the middle of both bars so if you can grab a spot in there why not? The bistro is pretty good and whilst there's always people around during the week, it seems it's the weekend that most people decide to swap the shopping for a beverage and head in to the Paddington Inn.

Situated on Oxford street close to everything and easy to get to this establishment is one of my favourite casual classy places to go. The staff are helpful and attentive - which i find important for a pleasurable experience. The restaurant has inexpensive good quality meals that cater to most tastes, personal favourite is the rib eye steak w salad and vegetables. The outdoor smoking area is situated between the restaurant and just off the danceflooor leading into the bar. The outdoor is welcoming and brilliantly designed with an open roof so u can see the stars and it does not get smokey so both non smokers and smokers can enjoy the atmosphere. All in all this is the prefect place to meet friends after work for drinks or enjoy a fine wine or whisky with a friend for an intimate dinner in a relaxed classy environment. On the weekends it is a lively hub of paddington locals and people visiting the area, always a good DJ with a fun party vibe.

This is a nice spot to have a drink with friends and people-watching on Oxford street. They accommodated our large group fairly well and the service was quick and friendly. Fun atmosphere and decor.

Like plenty of pubs in the area, the Paddington Inn isn't cheap, and come Friday and Saturday night, it gets absolutely rammed! If you come in at any other time, it's not a bad place for a quiet drink and the food is pretty good. Having gone through some renovations not so long back, it's still in pretty good condition, and the well done smoking area means the nicotine lovers among us (of which I'm not one) can get their fix without having to leave the premises. There are also a number of booths, so if you get there early enough, you might be able to score one on a busy night! But that may involve a very early start!

A great place to relax, unwind, and have a little bit of fun is in Paddington Inn on Oxford St. This place is inviting and cozy but still fashionable and hip. There are two ground floor bars to choose from, an upstairs terrace, private booths, and a smoker-friendly outdoor area. A bit of something for everyone. Aside from it being a cool place to hang out in, the Paddington Inn also serves the best beer battered fish & chips that you'll ever taste (well, at least in a pub!). The service is quick and friendly even during packed weekends. A top-notch boutique bar that will have you coming back for more fun, food, and drinks. Highly recommended!

The elephant tusk chandeliers were kinda cool when they were installed, like eons ago, but now they just look kinda outdated and outa place. I have seen a super duper off the Richter scale hot barman here on occasion, so ladies, it can be worth popping your heads in from time to time on the off chance of eye candy. Not a lot of ladies bathrooms, which is the bane of my female existence, so enter camel mode or be prepared to wait in line... always a good opp to make some new buddies, mind you! There are a couple of levels to choose from. I've always been a bit of a front bar fan.... where all the action seems to unravel; plus it's easy to make a quick exit when the place gets sideways. But the Paddo Inn has this sorta indoor courtyard thing, so you feel like your outside - breathing fresh air with sunlight on your skin - yet you're within the confines of four solid pub walls. Can feel a little trippy actually, which is another reason you'll probably find me loitering in the front bar... plus that's where eye candy is generally stationed. Eat the squid. I can't remember how much it was, but I can remember that it was damn good.
