Where To Eat Near London's Best Lidos and Swimming Spots - London - The Infatuation

"Whether we're sad, mad, or celebrating our incredible backstroke, Paddy Cakes is the answer. This wholesome Tufnell Park cake shop and bakery is run by a husband and wife whose skill at making Guinness cake is matched by their hospitality. The cake is moist and the buttercream is light, smooth, and has a Baileys kick your gran would approve of, i.e. a lot." - heidi lauth beasley, jake missing, sinead cranna

The Best Guinness Cakes In London - London - The Infatuation

"In a world of flat cream cheese frosting, Paddy Cakes said, be a swirl of Baileys buttercream. This Tufnell Park cake shop sells their Guinness cake in cupcake and slab form. And both come with the kind of delicately piped swirls that rival Disney princesses' curls. The buttercream is light, smooth, and has a Baileys kick your gran would approve of—i.e. a lot. While both of the sponges—cupcake and slab—are moist and not too heavy, we prefer the balance of the slab. More cake means that the sweet icing is spread out evenly and no mouthful is too much." - sinead cranna

Paddy Cakes - Review - Tufnell Park - London - The Infatuation

"Whether we're sad, mad, or celebrating—Paddy Cakes is the answer. This wholesome Tufnell Park cake shop and bakery is run by a husband and wife whose skill at making red velvet cupcakes is matched by their hospitality. The space is warm and inviting, with an Instagram-ready circular wall seat that’s ideal for photoshoots with your aesthetic crème brûlée doughnut, and comfy velvet chairs that encourage long chats over peach cinnamon rolls. Our favourite thing here is the Guinness cake slab: a moist, chocolatey cake with delicately piped swirls that rival a Disney princess' curls. The buttercream is light, smooth, and has a Baileys kick your gran would approve of, i.e. a lot." - Sinéad Cranna

Paddy is a cake and bun maestro at the top of his game - and a lovely bloke too. You can taste his dedication to baked happiness in every bite. His cinnamon bun is an excellent contender in that highly competitive field. But the outstanding feature of my visit was the apple fritter (sorry if wrong name), tactically placed on the counter to ensnare you in an epic explosion of sugary, appley goodness. He also talks a very strong cheesecake game so I guess we'll just have to come back to check them out :)

We absolutely love Paddy Cakes. We have purchased from their bakery for years and are always delighted by the variety and fun things that Pat and Chrys bake. We’ve had many birthday cheesecakes, doughnuts and cupcakes from here and they can turn custom orders around super quickly - with a focus on great quality and taste. This month we had our Wedding Cake from Paddy Cakes and it was stunning and delicious. Every guest (even people who don’t usually eat sweets) complimented it- with many going back for extra slices. We couldn’t have been happier- thank you both! 💛🧡

Absolutely, hands down the best cheese cake I’ve ever had in London. Perfect consistency not to dense like some can be. Great customer services and very warm inviting atmosphere. I couldn’t decide on just one so I got both the strawberry and the blueberry with an iced chai latte.. no notes. I’ll be back for sure! I need to try all their cookies

Google
Family run coffee shop producing delicious cakes. We had the Cinnabuns which were delicious, the banana cake another tasty cake and the traditional puff puff mini type doughnuts. The owner was very pleasant and had great passion delivering his cakes.

Tired Sunday lifted by the perfect find wandering Tufnell Park - Paddy's Cakes. Coffee was the best I have had in ages. Coupled with a giant chocolate cookie. The cookie was perfect. Cozy cafe where I felt comfortable reading and taking my time to enjoy coffee and cake!

If you love food, and baked goods in particular then you really need to pay this place a visit. Quite possibly one of London's hidden gems tucked away quite unassumingly. Patrick really knows his way around a kitchen and you can tell by the magic he creates. If you really want a treat for your taste buds then try the baked cheesecake. I've tried the world renowned San Sebastian's cheesecake and it wasn't a patch on this.

Paddy and Chrystal are so lovely and it shows that everything in this fantastic little bakery is made by them with love, care and beautiful precision. A hidden gem and definitely worth a visit for a coffee and a world class cheesecake

Google
Paddy was a breath of fresh air. Amazing baker. Cupcakes were amazing. The cinnamon bun was oozing flavour. Feeling guilty now for eating the whole bun. Will hit the gym to work it off. But the bun was worth it. My partner loved the cup cakes. Excellent result for all mankind. Will be back again. Gluttony definitely kicks in in this place. I did not dare try anymore cakes.
