Padma Resort Ubud | Hotels in Worldwide

It’s name may be something of a misnomer – the town of Ubud is in fact a 40-minute drive away – but nobody staying at this gorgeous resort complains about its isolation. Nestled in the unspoilt bamboo forests of the Payangan countryside, this family-friendly hotel offers respite from the tourist crowds and endless traffic while honouring Ubud’s reputation as the centre of Balinese arts and culture. Family resorts aren’t usually associated with peace and tranquillity, but Padma Resort Ubud pulls off the impressive trick of keeping the kids entertained without waterslides, foam parties and kids’ discos. It helps that the resort is vast, 11 hectares in total, and through the Wolly Kids Club and Kids Garden Club under-13s can explore the animal gardens and agroforestry sites with trained staff, and learn traditional Balinese arts and crafts such as the making of ceremonial offerings and the weaving of banana leaves. All these activities are also available to curious adults. The agroforestry gardens produce herbs, fruits and vegetables for use in the restaurants – the fresh papaya and dragon fruit juices served at the breakfast buffet are made from produce grown onsite. Breakfast at the Puhu Restaurant is a real highlight, with some of the best views in Bali accompanied by a vast range of Indonesian and Western breakfast items (though don’t overdo it with the breakfast pastries because the cakes served at the Payangan lounge, next to the koi ponds, are exquisite). While onsite adult activities include yoga, archery, fishing, golf and cycling tours of the local village and rice fields, most guests gravitate towards the 89-metre heated infinity pool, which offers a stunning view of the river valley as well as top-notch cocktails at a sunken bar (there’s also a kids pool for the little ones and a jacuzzi for grown-ups). The spacious guest rooms, meanwhile, feature Indonesian dark wood, artisan-created furnishings and balconies with valley views. The resort offers a regular free shuttle bus to central Ubud, but many guests will find it hard to justify leaving. Neighbourhood: The hotel is situated in tranquil Puhu village, which can be explored on one of two daily mountain bike tours (bring shoes; sandals aren’t allowed). The rice field views are particularly beautiful. Nearby: Ubud, with its temples, palaces, monkey forest and excellent restaurants is a 40-minute ride away on a regular free shuttle bus. Pura Tirta Empul, a temple famous for its purification ritual, is also close by. Tours are also available to nearby waterfalls and Mt Batur. Time Out tip: Tours of Padma Resort Ubud’s agroforestry gardens only take place twice a week, on Mondays and Thursdays, but it’s a rare opportunity to learn about Balinese produce and see where your fresh juice at breakfast comes from. So it might be worth timing your stay accordingly although you can visit without a guide on any day. - Timeout

Our family of five had the most incredible stay at Padma Ubud — pure luxury from start to finish. The attention to detail, service, and hospitality were beyond anything we’ve experienced. Every staff member made us feel genuinely welcomed and cared for, creating such a special atmosphere. The rooms were beautifully designed and immaculate, the food was exceptional with so much choice, and the setting — surrounded by lush jungle and breathtaking views — was simply unforgettable. The facilities are world-class, from the stunning infinity pool to the serene spa and endless activities for the kids. We were blown away by how effortlessly Padma Ubud combines five-star luxury with warmth and heart. Truly unforgettable — we can’t wait to return!

This a beautiful resort with stunning rainforest views and exeplatory customer service. The resort is massive with a farm, garden and a vast rainforest. The activities included were excellent. The staff were all very friendly and loved asking how your stay was going. The rooms felt very private with a large bathroom and balcony. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. My husband and I really enjoyed our stay. My only complaint is that we felt Padma was marketed as a serene romantic getaway and we felt it was mostly family oriented with many small children. One way the resort could have improved this would be to have children that are not potty trained be required to stay in the children's pool rather than the main pool. The staff was amazing and so friendly. A special shout out to Chandra for making amazing cocktails. Ari for such a beautiful smile and helping us at the pool bar. Prima was exceptionaly friendly and remembered everything about us. Lastly, Sinitya for cleaning the room spotless. I highly recommend for family oriented holidays.

An absolutely outstanding hotel, well deserving of it's 5* status, in fact, this should be raised to 7*! |From the moment you arrive at Padma, staff are quick to react & respond to your every need & whim! They are friendly, helpful & super efficient in every area of their work, always smiling, always helpful & always giving their customers a special, 'film star' service!|The Hotel itself is stunning! The grounds, are lush green, & emanate a constant hum of Tropical wildlife! The hotel has it's own Agroforestry area, bursting full of gorgeous flora & fauna; with many of the herbs, spices, vegetables & fruits all used within the Hotels kitchen. There is a beautiful River walk, an animal 'petting' area, where I would normally have concerns, but this area is super, well-loved & incredibly well maintained. |The lobby's, walkways, communal areas, & ponds, full of Koi Carp which you can feed at staggered times throughout the day; all are pristine & ooze class & sophistication.|The Dinning areas are fantastic, with a buffet breakfast fit for Kings! there is choice & variety for all nationalities, tastes & dietary requirements, & the views from the open decked area is amazing! |The infinity Pool is breathtaking, and an Instagram photo dream! and the Spa is one of the best spa's I have visited.|The hotel offers daily activities, such as Bike Tours, Archery & Crafting, they also supply a free Shuttle Bus into Ubud, which takes roughly 45mins & well worth the trip to visit the hustle & bustle of this vibrant town. |Overall an outstanding Hotel, with staff who make your stay incredibly memorable, & where time stands still, of complete relaxation, & zen!

Our stay at Padma Resort Ubud was absolutely amazing, an experience made truly perfect by the incredible staff and the serene, authentic rainforest environment.||From the time you enter, the whisper of the rindhik (a bamboo like xyplophone instrument native to Bali) and the magical koi fish who sprewed the pond with colour (It was so much fun feeding he koi whom we fed more than 7 times!) The welcoming drink which was the pea flower tea (so good) at the reception alongside the enviornment draws you in instantaneously. ||The breathtaking jungle setting is only enhanced by the world-class facilities such as the nest, the puhu resteraunt as well as rhe poolside one (with amazing musicians, guitarists and vocalists in paticular) and the club lounge combined with the genuine warmth of everyone I met made the first day truly special. This is a place where every detail is meticulously considered, from the stunning decor and pristine grounds to the impeccable service that makes you feel so welcome.||The rooms were absolutely amazing—an experience made truly perfect by the incredible staff and the serene, authentic rainforest environment. The breathtaking jungle setting reminded us that there's still so much wild, untouched Earth left, and it gave us a deep sense of peace and connection with nature. Just sitting on the balcony, looking out at the lush green canopy, was enough to ground us and remind us of the beauty of the natural world. The beds were super comfy and the rooms very well mantained and spacious too. They are equipped with mosquito taps and lotion that kills off mosquitoes easily! So it is highly unlikely you will even see a mosquito in your room if you leave the door closed!||What also stood out was how conveniently close the resort is to many of Ubud’s key attractions, yet it still feels like a hidden sanctuary far away from the tourist crowds. You can enjoy the best of both worlds: cultural experiences and city highlights nearby, with the luxury of returning to this tranquil escape afterward.||The resort offers a variety of fun and enriching activities. From archery sessions with the ever-energetic Putra (I can now score bullseye without so much of a strain) to the insightful agroforestry tour with Wartana, teaching us about every fruit and sustainable practice that is carried out at Padma Ubud. Each activity is thoughtfully curated to be engaging, educational, and aligned with the resort’s values. I also want to thank the kind staff member who gently refused to let me join the bike tour due to safety concerns. His decision, though disappointing at the moment, showed genuine care and professionalism—and I truly respect that. His helpfulness and concern meant a lot.||Special thanks go to Debbie, who ensured everything ran smoothly during our stay, and to Marjana, our room attendant, for keeping our room pristine and adding such joy with his delightful towel art—the little dog he made brought a smile to our faces every day! The last-minute village tour with Teja was another unforgettable moment. His deep knowledge of the Balinese culture in the village and the way we spoke about Dharma and Karma turned a casual tour into a spiritual and cultural journey. The way he encouraged respectful interaction with locals and even helped us distribute small gifts was deeply touching. A big thanks to Chichi for the best massage of my life, where my mental health improved and I felt rejuvinated and replenished. She has a very good hand for full body massage and knows exactly how much pressure to apply. I highly recommend their service.||The food at Padma was also outstanding. The floating breakfast was a rare chance but got splashed! However Laksmi and the team ensured a swift replacement......a true insta vs reality expirience! One standout dish that put me in living hevean was the aglio e olio, made with plant-based pasta—it was not only delicious but also aligned with the resort’s strong sustainability practices. From reducing plastic use to their thoughtful eco-friendly designs, Padma clearly takes its environmental impact seriously. It’s refreshing to see a resort that doesn’t just talk the talk but actually walks the walk.||The waiters throughout our stay were exceptional—always kind, attentive, and eager to accommodate. The service was seamless without ever feeling intrusive, which made us feel both pampered and at ease.||Every element of the resort—from the heavenly heated infinity pool overlooking the jungle, to the comfortable rooms and perfectly kept grounds—was designed to offer guests a chance to unwind and reconnect with nature. The jogging trail through the rainforest was a personal favorite, offering the perfect blend of fitness and immersion in nature especially for someone who has dreamed of seeing the Asian rainforest from a young age.||Padma Resort Ubud is more than just a beautiful place to stay—it's a heartwarming, soul-refreshing experience that I'll never forget. We can't wait to return and create even more memories at this magical haven.||Upon your stay, ensure to make use of all thr facilities and activities that are offered lead by experts as well as being vigilant of mosquitos. Remember it is always good to give back to the community and explore the real Bali outside the mass tourism....book a village tour to learn more about the local culture and give a few treats to the children (they love it, trust me!)

Beyond amazing. I’m well travelled and this particular hotel has the best service I’ve experienced. All members are staff are very helpful, nothing is too much, always with a smile. The food no matter what you order is delicious. Breakfast has multiple choices for all no matter your taste or diet. The Italian restaurant is also first class. The facilities are beautiful and tranquil, with a lovely pool with a Jurassic view of the Forrest. They have lots of activities you can join in with including an animal zone where you can feed cows, rabbits, goats, chickens, ducks, turkeys and you can also do some fishing. Housekeeping service is wonderful, often would leave a little surprise and a kind message. Even when asked what could be improved, I had no answer it’s perfect the way it is.

Absolutely stunning hotel hidden in the jungle of ubud. The views from the infinity are absolutely outstanding and the service and staff amazing- I am unsure of the rooms as we only attended for dinner but we were completely blown away by the absolute decadence of this place in what felt like absolute isolation in the best way possible. Food was great, staff were amazingly hospitable and the ambience 10/10. Very pricey for Bali but worthwhile even if it’s just for a meal or night!

We usually prefer to explore new destinations and rarely return to the same hotel twice. However, Padma Ubud has left such a deep impression on us that we will happily make an exception. From the moment we arrived, the warmth of the team, the serenity of the setting, and the attention to detail made our stay truly memorable.||What stood out most was the exceptional food. Every meal was a celebration of flavours — beautifully presented, thoughtfully crafted, and consistently of the highest standard. Whether it was the exquisite breakfast selection, the refined dining options, or the authentic local dishes, the culinary experience at Padma Ubud surpassed our expectations in every way.||It is rare to find a resort that balances luxury, hospitality, and such outstanding gastronomy. We are already looking forward to our return, and this time we hope to share the experience with our family.

Absolutely stunning scenery and the resort is against a stunning backdrop! The best part of the resort is their heated infinity pool! If you want to feel one with nature, this is the place to be. The breakfast was okay as we have had much better selection at other five star places. Some dishes were amazing and some missed the mark. They had lovely cakes at the cafe but poor customer service. No one would come to check on if we needed anything..had to keep going to the counter to get something additional. The spa was beautiful in terms of set up but prices were on the high end, maybe a bit too high compared to other places. The gym lacked some basic equipment which my husband was a bit disappointed with. Someone was kind enough to give him the only one bench available so he could do his weights workout. The Puhu restaurant had an amazing food selection with reasonable pricing. Overall the decor and aesthetics were amazing, service overall was attentive, polite and friendly and I was in love with the pool and the hot tub and my stunning room with the garden view! The fun touch was the little animals they house outside in-between lovely walking trails and you get to feed rabbits, cows, goats, deer and a variety of birds.I would definitely recommend!
