We ordered cupcakes from Padoca for my daughter‘s second birthday, and they were AMAZING!! A big hit. Several of my daughter’s friends I think we’ll be getting Padoca cupcakes for their birthday too. But perhaps even more important than the delicious cupcakes, with the Customer Service. Due to illness I had to the party at the last minute and they were so flexible. That meant a lot to me. Thanks again so much, and can’t wait to order cupcakes for our next event!

I recently bought a cake from Padoca Bakery, and it was nothing short of spectacular! The design was absolutely stunning, with elegant details that made it almost too gorgeous to eat. But once we cut into it, the taste exceeded all expectations. Every bite was moist, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. This cake was a showstopper both in looks and taste. I’ll definitely be coming back for more! Obrigada Padoca!!!

Google
Honestly one of the best tasting cakes I’ve had in a while. We got vanilla cake with vanilla marscapone and I’ve been craving it ever since.

Google
I’ve used Padoca twice now for birthday cakes and cannot recommend them enough. Cakes are delicious, beautiful and reasonably priced. Customer service is excellent. We also did a custom cake for one of the birthdays and they were super easy to work with. The iced cookies are also very good. Very happy to have found them.

Ordered our wedding cake from here and it was perfect! I ordered online and made a mistake with the pick up location which they changed for me. Response was great and picking up the cake was quick and easy. I recommend for sure! I got this 6 inch heart cake.

Google
A MUST! Where do I start?! Staff are super friendly and everything is made fresh that min! First time I went I got the tuna salad sandwich with a decaf cold brew. It came with a chocolate coconut macaroon, I don’t like coconut BUT it wasn’t strong and the chocolate they use is delicious! Second time I went I got the (BEC) breakfast sandwich, decaf cold, and a chocolate scone. The scone was not dry and the chocolate they use is delicious!

Google
Made a custom birthday cake for us with a fast turn around and can truly say this was delicious! One of my top cakes I’ve had in the city. They were super helpful and communicative. Couldn’t recommend more!

Google
What a lovely bakery! 💖 I’ve been here before, but I came back today and I’ll keep coming back ☺️ The baked goods are a delightful treat, and they serve beverages here as well. The staff has been incredibly kind every time I’ve come in and always create a welcoming environment. It’s a small location, but I do believe there are some chairs to sit in! Stop on in and get yourself a sweet treat! 🎂🍪🧁✨

Yelp
I was surprised with a delicious holiday cake. It was perfectly tasty good. I recommend taking time out for this treat

Yelp
Padoca is such a cute bakery on the UES! Everyone that works there is so noticeably kind! The interior is so cute and so much fun to sit down and eat or read a book, and better yet they have An amazing patio in the back! The Bacon egg and cheese is really really good! It is $10 but I think I should have only eaten half because it's so dense and rich but good! The scone was also really good and massive! Coffee was good, not dying to come back for the coffee but if I'm there I'll get it! The only thing I wasn't a fan of was the Taylor swift chai cookies a while back.
google avatar

Sarah L.

Yelp
Padoca is such a cute bakery! The space is bright, has seating in the back, and a local shop corner up front to support other small UES businesses! I ordered a vanilla bean latte, and the PDQ bacon egg and cheese sandwich. The latte was amazing and I absolutely will be coming back for coffee drinks! I think the price for what you get is great. I was a bit underwhelmed at the PDQ bacon egg and cheese though, for almost $12 to only have one egg on the sandwich, it left me feeling hungry after. The breakfast sandwich is about 90% bread and 10% filling - which to be fair it's made with their delicious house PDQ. However, since one PDQ is priced at $3.85, it's surprising that $7.90 is left for one egg, cheese, and a piece and a half of bacon.

Yelp
We are fans of their scones here, especially the apricot one. Just right to take home and enjoy with a cup of hot coffee on a weekend morning.

Yelp
TL; DR: The *sweetest* little smash cake! I stumbled upon this bakery on Instagram and instantly fell in love with their vibe and offerings! My babygirl was turning 1-year-old in less than one week, and although I had a birthday party planned for a few weeks later -- I completely spaced on getting her a little cake to smash at home! Padoca Bakery, to the rescue! I was able to browse their smash cake selections via their super user-friendly website (which is a HUGE DEAL to me as a busy toddler mama of two.) I also loved that there were options for icing color, cake flavor, and cake filling. For such an important occasion, I appreciated being able to have a small say in this aspect, even without being present to place the order in person. Since I live out of delivery range, I scheduled pick-up for baby girl's actual birthday and picked it up without a hitch. The bakery itself is very cute, customer service was top tier, and you can just feel that it's a sweet neighborhood spot. Needless to say, my daughter loved her cake and I even recommended Padoca to a friend (my due date twin!) whose babygirl also turned one a few days later. Thank you Padoca! I'll be back soon :)

Yelp
Incredible birthday cake. My wife had a big 30th bday celebration, so I knew I couldn't screw up. I spent an hour or so scouting the best bakeries the upper east side has to offer and Padoca really stood out to me. They had attractive, simple designs at a great price point. Ordering was a breeze -- I only wish we had clarified what color the decorative writing would be in. Everyone at the party, especially the bday girl, loved the cake. It was chocolatey and moist, also not too sweet. The sprinkles were a great touch too. Ordering again for sure!

Yelp
This place is so lovely! They have so many delicious baked goods and are one of the few places you can get Brazilian cheese bread on the go! The staff is friendly and the cheese bread is good. Highly recommend! Good amount of seating too. I also got the cookie butter latte but it was a bit disappointing. The cookie butter was not incorporated at all so honestly the flavor didn't come through at all. The espresso also tasted a bit burnt.
google avatar

Yelp
BEST COOKIES IN NYC! A hill I will die on every time. The chocolate chip cookie changed my life. It is soft, chewy, with a crispy edge.
google avatar

Marianne W.

Yelp
Padoca has the biggest scones and I love the Cranberry. I want everything they make truthfully. There's a patio in the back to sit when I eat. It's just a cozy cafe with delicious items. The employees are on the ball as soon as I walk in the door. I always have to stop in when I walk past. Everything is so tempting!! I recommend you visit asap!

Yelp
Yum! I got a plain PDQ and it was so yummy--tasted fresh and had an amazing contrast of textures. The chewy interior was so satisfying, and I loved the lightly salty cheese flavor. Would definitely get again! Also tried some of my sister's PDQ with ham, egg, and cheese and it was delicious! Would definitely return to this cute shop for more :)

Yelp
Padoca Bakery is a wonderful addition to the Upper east side. As it has been open now for a while I have not been in alot of times. This coffee shop is not jist your typical one. In the front of the store they sell cute decorations for birthdays and have delicious treats. They also have items for dogs. I got a pack of the mini cupcakes as you see in my photos and they were delightful. I also got cute st.patricks day cookie and an Iced Cappuccino which was tasty. This coffee shop/bakery is known for their PDQ Brazilian Cheese bread, which I have not yet had.

Yelp
I wanted to surprise my parents, who live on the Upper East Side, with a gender reveal cake for their future grandchild. I ordered the 4" gender reveal cake - vanilla cake and vanilla mascarpone. Padoca Bakery offers this as a standard order cake, which allowed me to order online. Their pricing was very competitive, compared to custom order cakes at nearby bakeries. Padoca Bakery both emailed and called when my cake was ready for pickup. The staff were very friendly in the store. The 4" cake was sufficient for 4-5 people to have a large slice. The quality was very good.

Yelp
Great service!!! Yummy pastries. Best Pão de queijo breakfast sandwich.!!! Only negative is store closes super early.
google avatar

Sabrina P.

Yelp
Very nice find in the UES / Yorkville! Cute interior and extra bonus points for the outdoor garden set up in the back. The service was very friendly and took time to explain the menu to me and my boyfriend. They also have cute birthday decorations from small local businesses at the front of the store. We enjoyed the ham egg and cheese sandwich and a latte. I'll be back!
google avatar

Yelp
They have match! It's not on the menu but they have it :) they also have great coffee options and chai tea. The bacon egg and cheese sandwich is so good. It comes on really good bread. Definitely an upscale breakfast sandwich options. You can buy so many birthday decorations and birthday desserts here. If you are headed into the office and it's a coworkers birthday, spot here for a treat! The bakery is very clean and bright and colorful. Really good service. They gave me recommendations and added the perfect amount of sweetener to my matcha just like I requested

Yelp
I love their bread and latte options! The staff is so nice and welcoming. I always look forward to trying different drinks.

Yelp
This is the new second location on UES. Close to trains by 86 St and 1st Ave. The PDQ (cheese bread) is really good. Crispy on the outside and soft and airy on the inside. It's good hot on it's own or they also have it as a sandwich. I'll have to try those. For sweets, I got the coconut macaroon. It had good coconut flavors. Although if you weren't craving it, I would get another PDQ. That is so good. Makes you want more.
google avatar

Sandy Y.

Yelp
Yum yum yum. Their brigadeiros are so good and their pao de quiejo (PDQ) are AMAZING. The size of the cheesy breads are twice the size of usual places and are SUPER good. Highly recommend asking for a warm one - they keep a good supply warm and toasty!
google avatar

Yelp
Got a cake for my sons 1st birthday. Absolutely delicious! Very moist cake and beautiful hungry caterpillar decorations!
google avatar

Julia M.

Yelp
Love my PDQs! Their breakfast sandwich can last me 12 hours. Lovely service and outdoor area in the back with wifi.
google avatar

Cheryl N.

Yelp
Welcome to the neighborhood Padoca! We are so glad you are here. The PDQs are a must have! They are made cassava flour and cheese. They also had a gluten free banana chocolate chip bread that was yummy too! They do have some drinks on their menu, but I haven't tried yet, my mouth is too busy savoring the cheesy, fluffy, warm goodness of the PDQs.

Cindy H.

Yelp
I've been an avid lover of PB since the original location on 67th st- back in 2016 This location is sooooo cute and I love the backyard patio!!! The PDQ with egg and cheese is absolutely delicious paired beautifully with the honey oat latteeeee. Get you some !!! Service is also 10/10; it's always nice to be greeted with a friendly smile!!!

Yelp
Absolutely adorable, dog-friendly bakery! I love that they welcome my pup whenever I dine in and are laid back about staying a while when I'm there chatting with a friend. They also have a little outdoor seating area which is a great place to enjoy a nice day. The cookie butter latte and the guava brigadeiro are great for the occasional decadent treat. Their baked goods are pretty good, but my go-tos are the PDQ with guava jam, or the BEC on a PDQ during their breakfast hours. Sometimes a bit greasy, but it's scrumptious cheesy bread so I expect that, and it has a great crust. I've also tried their orange olive oil loaf which is also yummy, though a tad too oily. I'll be back again and again with my fluffer, Wonton, to try all their goodies! I also love the local doggo goods at the front by the adorable smeg.
google avatar

Irina S.

Yelp
Cute new spot on the ues. They are known for their PDQs which as I was told is a cheesy biscuit like bun baked fresh and used to make sweet or savory sammie. Friendly staff, prices are up there but if you're going for a treat once in a while you can support a local business. I had a PDQ with guava filling. It was very sweet but certainly tasted the guava. I don't know how cheesy the PDQ was by itself but it was a yummy fresh treat.
google avatar

Paul B.

Yelp
Been going to Padoca ever since they had their original spot in the 70s, so when they opened up near my apartment I was so happy. And I've found that sometimes a walk to Padoca and getting their pao de queijo (PDQ as they call it) is the perfect way to kick off your day. I've always taken my PDQs to-go, but I've always noticed a nice garden in a back. Staff is always super nice and they don't rush you. If it's helpful, I've gotten one or two PDQs to get me through to lunch.
google avatar

Rijoota G.

Yelp
Love this local coffee shop! Stopped by and got an iced latte with dulce de leche, as well as the cheesy bread. So yummy, and they have a lot of merchandise as well.
google avatar

Albert W.

Yelp
The cheesy breads (Pao de Queujo, PDQ) just BANGS, from crunchy outer shell to warm, pillowy interior. It is surprisingly dense and hefty for it size, and satisfyingly savory and addictive. This location is cute, with a brightly lit and welcoming ambiance (although there isn't a ton of seating) that encourages small gatherings. Will definitely back to try some of their other baked goods.
google avatar

Saikrishna C.

Yelp
Such a cute cafe. Very delish cupcakes and super nice people serving you. Great tasting coffee but they may have made an oat milk latte with regular milk. This upset my partner's stomach today. We will definitely give them another try and update this review
google avatar

Austin S.

Yelp
Loved the ham egg and cheese with guac spread. Enjoyed my iced mocha and relaxed in their back patio area. 5 star local bakery for me. Staff was friendly and good service. Will definitely be back.

Amina O.

Yelp
I ordered my sons 2nd birthday cake and it was my first time with this bakery. I had a friend recommend it and I decided to try it. We'll I'm glad I listened to her because it did not disappoint. I spoke with Meghan through the whole process and she listened to what I wanted and they really delivered. The cake looked great outside and tasted amazing inside. My son kept wanting more!!

Anjali M.

Yelp
Such a cute little cafe with delicious Brazilian treats! The cookie butter latte is the best drink I have ever had !

Sophia S.

Yelp
3.5 stars to Padoca. I've been going there since they're opened in Yorkville, and they've had consistent friendly service. However, in my opinion a lot of items are hits while others are big misses. Their olive oil orange Bundt cake is delicious, as well as the PDQs (the bacon on the BEC version is divine, almost sweet). But unfortunately, the times I've tried their scones and muffins, they were extremely dry and tasteless. I felt similarly about the brownie. I also run into issues all the time with their coffee cups - somehow they're always leaking and spilling all over me on my walk home, which is two blocks :( the lid regularly comes off as well. Last time I went I got a chai latte and it was extremely watery and I could barely taste the spices. All in all it's a nice place but I feel like I can only go for a select few items that I know I can trust are good.
google avatar

Nadia B.

Yelp
Wow wow wow. We had a large red velvet birthday cake for my partner and all I can say is layers on layers of red velvet and creamy thick icing.... Damn!! They do not mess around. A quintessential birthday cake for a quintessential cutie.
google avatar

Kara L.

Yelp
The staff is always so nice. The brigadeiros are amazing I keep coming back for them and the pao de queijo I still need to dip into the rest of their menu but I definitely love what I have tried so far!
google avatar

Shannon S.

Yelp
love their seasonal drinks, the peppermint mocha and apple cider are delicious. all the baked goods too, the banana muffin is my favorite. also a great place to sit for a bit, inside or outside. and the staff are really nice and helpful. so glad padoca came to yorkville.
google avatar

Dill K.

Yelp
Muito Obrigado Sandra! I stopped in here after rave reviews, and was treated to excellent service. I got the Cherry Apricot Scone, Pineapple Apple tea, and a four pack of brigadeiro. Sandra and I got along, and she threw in a complimentary PDQ. A must stop on the UES. Tchau Linda!
google avatar

Laura G.

Yelp
I was really sad when Padoca closed their location in the 60s during the pandemic, so when they moved even closer to me recently, I was so excited. It's really hard to find pao de queijo in the city, and this place makes one of the best. I also tried their red velvet brownie- it tastes amazing, has a chewy texture and is super decadent. The cream cheese icing is on point. However, it's too rich even for me, and I couldn't eat it in one sitting. Glad to have tried but now ready to try their other offerings like the muffins and scones. My one qualm about this place is that their hours don't match with my work hours, and they close too early.
google avatar

S G.

Yelp
Cute tiny bakery on 1st Ave and 87 Str. It was a while back and it was pretty unmemorable, so I forgot to leave a review. I ordered an iced coffee, which was good and the girl behind the counter was very friendly. I also ordered a little mini bundt, which was underbaked. I think they have breakfast sandwiches in the mornings, so I might come back and try again.
google avatar

Marc L.

Yelp
Ever since Glaser's closed a few years back, we've been without a bakery here in Yorkville. While I'm not going to compare Padoca Bakery to the earlier referenced institution, I am nevertheless very happy to once again see a bakery in our midst. I stopped by Padoca for the first time today. It's a very cute shop with its wares visible in the front cabinet. They had various cookies, muffins and other baked goods available for purpose. The staff is incredibly friendly and eager to serve you. Once your order is ready you can even take it back into the rear outdoor patio area and enjoy it. For me today, I ordered the PDQ Egg and Cheese. This is apparently the bakery's signature cheese bread with a freshly cooked egg placed in between. It was delicious and made me very happy for breakfast. And the cheese of choice in the bread - Swiss - which made me all the happier. I'm so tired of everyone just using American cheese or cheddar. Swiss baked into the bread made my morning. So yes, if you can't tell, I'm glad to see Padoca has opened in this neighborhood and I can't wait to taste some of their other offerings as time goes on. I'll definitely be back!

Roxanne L.

Yelp
Honey oat milk latte.... bomb.com PDQ & red velvet brownie... also bomb.com Service.... friendly staff, quick service = bomb.com Interior.... clean and cute ALSO bomb.com 10/10 my new favorite local bakery! :)
google avatar

Fabio D.

Yelp
This place is good but please open earlier! A lot of people are at work by 8am and you also closed by 3:30 :( it would be great to get some PDQ in the mornings.
google avatar

Kate A.

Yelp
I've been here 3-4 times in the last few weeks because I love the chocolate chip cookie and the sprinkle cookie. Also tried the red velvet brownie recently but it wasn't my fave--not very sweet or flavorful. But those chocolate chip cookies will keep me coming back. Looking forward to trying the breakfast sandwiches soon too. Very happy to have a bakery back in the neighborhood!

Olivia M.

Yelp
I love coming here for little treats! I especially love their new brigadeiros. They're so delicious and addicting, the guava one was my favorite! I went to the tasting event when they launched them and chatted with some of the employees who were very nice and helped me place an order for a box to pick up the next day to bring home to my family.
google avatar

Emma L.

Yelp
Such a cute little cafe!!! The lattes are really good and BEC on PDQ is sooo good. The eggs are freshly fried which makes a huge difference for taste (not frozen or microwaved).

Howard M.

Yelp
The pão de queijo is terrific. The brigadeiro bolo was wonderful and the scones are scrumptious. All the baked goods are special and the service is excellent! Great treat in a small package.

Robert B.

Yelp
Ordered a floral cake for my wife's birthday. The cake was beautiful and delicious. The ordering process on line was easy and the follow up emails were helpful.

C H.

Yelp
I came here once a little after closing. They not only let me in and let me order but were so helpful and sweet.I didn't know their hours ahead of time (they close at 3:30 weekdays) but appreciated the service after hours. Also their Ted Lasso brigadeiro biscuits are bomb.
google avatar

Diane N.

Yelp
I had the opportunity to speak with one of the owners who went out of her way to address my concerns and comments. Will def give another try!

sarah o.

Yelp
I love this place! I come every weekend after work. Julia is the nicest person ever, even though I come 20 min early every weekend she always lets me in! The best time to go is right when they open at 8 am so the PDQ is nice and fresh. Cookie butter latte is very good but sweet. Overall great experience
