Waited 20 mins before the waitress even came over. And when she did, she said NOTHING. She waited for us to say something and it was awkward. We ordered, and the follow up service was terrible. The waitress was talkn to her coworkers the entire time, took a long time for her to realize we were ready to go. Food was not any better. The ham croquettas were not pleasant and looked like cheesesticks, and the chicken paella we ordered smelled fishy. Taste was a lil off but not too terrible to eat. Unfortubately i wouldnt come here again.

Google
Cozy, simple, clean restaurant nestled in a strip mall. Friendly service even though our waitress spoke limited English. We ordered Seafood Paella, Mixed Paella, and Fried Seafood. Our food was served hot, fresh, and all of it was delicious. The Paella serves 2 people. However my son would have devoured it by himself. The fried seafood was lightly breaded and crunchy. We also ordered the best Sangria I've had for a long time - plus it had diced fruit. The only issues for me were the paella platters are too big for the table and an 18% service charge was added to our bill. I really don't appreciate forced tips for a party of 4. Regardless of the issues, I believe the hot, fresh meal and friendly service in a casual, clean restaurant deserves all 5 stars.

Beautiful place BUT. A complete waste of money. Very overpriced for what was given... it seems like cheap food with no thought. Like microwave rice and veg. I feel ripped off. My family feels ripped off, ruined our holiday dinner. Everybody took a couple bites but nobody could fathom eating anymore. We had to throw it in the garbage. Completely wasting my money even though we're short on cash right now for bills.. It was sacrifice to even spend that you should be ashamed to be serving people with something like that, especially since you base your restaurant off of that rice dish - the rice dish should be really good and taste one delicious not so bad it has to be sadly thrown out ....it breaks my heart and it's angers me .

Google
I was thrilled to find an authentic Spanish (from Spain) restaurant and I was dying to have the boquerones. Everything felt, looked, and tasted fresh. The service was excellent and friendly. We tried tapas but will return for the paella soon!

Felnor Maldonado

Google
Service is really good the food on the other side is mediocre, we order steak strip for appetizers and flavor is more Asian than Spain what a disappointment. Roasted potatoes on the side were good... Main dish of course was Paella the specialty of the house... was ok but not great Sangria was excellent; recommended!!! Definitely the best thing on the restaurant is service We enjoy the visit even the food isn't that good service was star and save the day.

Google
We waited over an hour to get our tables. Apetizers were good but definitely NOT the best paella in orlando.. did not like the taste and soo salty that i could not eat it. We order 2 paellas for 7 people and only use 1 .. second one took it home and ended up in the trash...so salty. Sorry but not coming back... not worth it..

Google
If you can't make paella and your business is called Paella House, there is an issue. The rice was seriously undercooked and saucy plus the vegetables looked like frozen peas and carrots. We didn't even try the proteins because they were the wrong texture. The tapas menu is disappointingly limited and none of the ones we ordered were remarkable. Even without paying for the paella, this was an expensive disaster.

Google
I ordered the garlic octopuse and the seafood paella. And it was one of the best tasting ones I've ever had. They make the rice fresh, and all of the flavors blend so well together. Will definitely be worth the stop for food.

Yelp
After years passing in front on this place , finally I stop by. When you walk in the dining isn't big, but isn't small neither. It has a real family environment. But I want stat with the only negative that I found. The room temperature, to hot for a dinning room, I felt that I was on the kitchen. After saying that let move to the bright side of the story . The server give you a nice greetings , really friendly and you feel that they want you have a great moment. My wife and me started with the Fried Calamari and the Sangria. The Calamari are great! The Sangria I was expecting a stronger flavor, but later I found out why has to taste like that. The entré was Seafood Paella, and long time I didn't enjoy a real Paella. People, this is the real thing. Best Paella ever tried . When you eat the Paella y drink a little of Sangria, the taste of the Sangria don't kill the taste of the seafood, creating a great balance between both. If you never stop by this location, I invite you to try.

Esperanza G.

Yelp
me he sentido engañada, en la paella que hacen no utilizan el arroz que se necesita para hacer paella, por favor mejore su producto, pero no diga que es arroz de paella, I felt cheated by the paella that they make doesn't use the correct rice that is necessary to make paella. Please make your product better, but don't tell me this is arroz bomba.

Yelp
We just went to this restaurant and was so excited since it is the only Spanish restaurant with Paella. What we ordered was good but bland. It needs more authentic Spanish seasoning. Still good and I will definitely go back and try another type of Paella.

Mariana B.

Yelp
The restaurant is very small, but is comfy for smalls groups. The lamb was good. Sangria is too sweet. Paella is a little bit expensive for the quality.

Tere F.

Yelp
I ate here once and once only...disappointed that something as basic as the rice was incorrect! If you cannot get the rice right it's not an authentic Paella! How do I know this I am a Spaniard attached you will see what my Paella looks like a Authentic Paella! I was told when I asked about the rice that it was the right rice UM WRONG!!!! Sorry for anyone that goes here and thinks that they are getting a real Paella! I promise the real thing is way better than what you get here!

Steven C.

Yelp
The meals are tasty. The paella has different varieties of choices. The place is classy and the location is close to home. Spain has never looked and tasted soo good. Thank you!

Frank M.

Yelp
I'm from New Jersey, I've noticed that the food is not the same Florida food restaurants are terrible and pricey also they serve a bit never again !!!!

Eduard R.

Yelp
Food was really tasty and plenty. Prices very high They charge you too much for drinks and side dishes

Khoala T.

Yelp
Class hole in a wall or hole in a strip mall but food was great. As authentic as I would imagine Spanish tapas to be. We tried a bit of everything and a few items are pictured. Only advice: the paella is huge! watch how much you order as tapa can be small but most plates here are bigger than the average tapas. Definitely got what I paid for.

Macy W.

Yelp
The restaurant is small and cute. Wait staff are friendly, and their sangria is tasty. You can't taste very much alcohol in the sangria, but it's still good. We ordered the paella de marisco and lamb chops. Both were average. The lamb was somewhat tough and the paella was a bit watery. I expected more from a place that specializes in paella.

Nan O.

Yelp
Worst food ever. Appetizer was microwaved and their main dish Paella was the worst one I have ever tried. The rice was undercooked , the chicken tasted horrible and the seafood tasted not fresh at all. I would not recommend this place to anyone. So disappointed and so much to call themselves a "Paella House".

Tom C.

Yelp
I got the seafood paella in black ink. It was delicious. Reminded me of a dish I grew to love in Barcelona. The down side is that our tongues were black for the evening. LOL. The calamari was fresh. The chicken croquetas were ok. The chorizos came out in a spectacular presentation flaming from the brandy but I found the chorizos to be too dry. The flan was out of a pre made cup so it was no big deal. The service and the paella are the best things about this place making it a place to go back to.

Maria R.

Yelp
Spent $28.65 on nasty, greasy overpriced "food." I ordered one "large" caldo gallego that tasted like watered-down something. The other item I ordered was another waste of my hard earned money (callos con garbanzos) the portion size was about less than 16 ounces...just look at the receipt. And they are not ashamed of selling you garbage. I should have known better. The place was empty on a Friday! It was a total disappointment. They got my money once...NEVER AGAIN!  Response to the owner; You are mistaken.  I don't mind paying for good quality food.  You can scroll up and down through the restaurants I've been to, you will noticed the majority are high end renounced restaurants.  Before the food leaves the kitchen, do you taste it for quality? I don't recall you being there.  The only two people at your establishment was me and the person named on the receipt.  And as far as the government goes, they were NOT there either. I recommend you read all the reviews of your restaurant, see how many other customers aren't happy about the food that leaves your kitchen.  Just because you keep thinking you're right DOESN'T make it so.

Amy D.

Yelp
I really don't like writing anything negative about a restaurant while they are struggling right now, but, I just can't give a false review. We ordered calamari (wasn't delivered--restaurant issue or GrubHub driver error? We don't know but we didn't get it). We also ordered the Ham Croquettes Hot Tapas (the only reason I can give 2 stars because my husband raved about them!, Cazuela de Mariscos and Paella Valenciana. The Cazuela de Mariscos also came with a choice of 2 sides so I chose mixed veggies and Spanish potatoes. I expected spice, flavor, salt & pepper at least. The stew was full of seafood but only 1 mussel out of 3 opened. (You aren't supposed to eat them if they don't open). And there was just no spice. Very dull. Even the Spanish potatoes had no salt or pepper or anything! Just mushy potatoes. And I'm sorry, but I think the veggies were from a bag of frozen vegetables that were popped in the microwave (and had ZERO seasoning on them). The Paella? Unfortunately, it was extremely overcooked. It was like it had been prepared early that morning and had sat all day waiting for someone to order then reheated. And again, ZERO spice or flavor. My aunt was from Madrid so I know this wasn't authentic in any fashion. On our last night here, we wanted something special but this did not hit the spot at all.

Tatiana M.

Yelp
A true authentic Spanish meal. This place is soo underrated! Started with the chorizo appetizer which was TO DIE FOR! I could have just had 2 bowls of that for dinner. Had the garlic chicken for dinner which was delicious and similar high praises were said for the other dishes including the paella. Great portion sizes. Finished off with some crema and churros. The crema was delicious. Bursting with flavor. Overall, highly recommend.

Heather C.

Yelp
Amazing, flaky empanadas. It was quiet on a weeknight at dinner. Paella was overall great; white meat chicken simmered a bit too long.

Evelyn J.

Yelp
Horrible service, the restaurant was almost empty. We will not go back. My husband has never been to Spain, so I thought this could be my way to get him closer.... I was wrong

Monica R.

Yelp
Delicious we had the paella mixta and for appetizer the shrimp dessert crema catalana WOW the owner and older lady is absolutely pleasant conversation.

Walter M.

Yelp
food is good, garlic octupus was fine, chorizo in brandy were good but chorizo was dry probably from the flaming brandy, the anchovy starter was good and the bread excellent. place is small but clean and nice with an attentive staff.

Navin B.

Yelp
I ordered the seafood paella and it seemed like the mussels and clams were counted- 2 clams, 2 mussels and tail on shrimp. It was very salty and in my opinion, way over priced for what I received. The wait is 20- 30 minutes because the food is cooked fresh, but not to my liking.. The server was very pleasant, but I had to ask for everything- water, napkins, refill, etc. I don't have any pictures because it wasn't very appetizing.

Bao T.

Yelp
I gotta say we were highly disappointed coming here. Paella was a little bland, the seafood used weren't very fresh, and the price for it was high. I've had delicious paella before and this isn't it. Save your money for someplace else. Service was fine so I'll do 2.5 stars and round up to 3.

Diana A.

Yelp
We ordered the paella mix for 10 people and the flavor was really good! Presentation and timing for the order was perfect for us. Everyone liked the paella and complimented it.

Elisa A.

Yelp
Love this place! Amazing and authentic Spain cuisine. Service is excellent and the sangria yummy

Rebecca L.

Yelp
I've been eyeing this place off of John Young Pkwy for a while and finally went to go with a friend. Wow--if you ever want to see where the local Spanish community is, this is it. With Spain's large flag hanging in the background and the from Spain accents of the customers who usually greet the employees with hugs, this place screams authenticity. Although one may initially balk at the price of a paella for two (~$36), rest assured that the paella for two is more than enough, lasting me four days after with leftovers. We got the squid-ink paella, which comes on a huge plate that is scooped out to you by your server. The paella was absolutely delicious, with the squid-ink adding juice a subtle seafood flavor and thankfully does not blacken the teeth. The seafood was small but tender, while the dish itself is incredibly filling, making it good conversation food with a group. Overall, warm authentic atmosphere with grand delicious portions. Looking forward to my next visit.

Yelp
Tried this place for the first time thanks to a groupon i found. Went back a second time and let me tell you. The restaurant is not very big, but the servers are great very friendly. You get a sense of family ambiance while dinning in. We had the calamari, ham croquettes, sangria, paella valenciana and the tres leches. Everything we have tried at paella house has been delicious, fresh and simply perfect. The paella is made to order, takes a little time but definitely worth the wait. It's an explosion of flavors in your mouth that you can't find just anywhere. You can tell they take great care and pride on their food. I would go back many times again. If you are in the area and want to try some good food GO TO THIS PLACE. You can thank me later.

Jeffrey R.

Yelp
If you like Paella, or you think you might like it, GO HERE. GO HERE NOW. I swing by there to see if they are open when im in town. We had the non-seafood Paella, garlic shrimp, its all so good. I dont give a lot of five stars, I give a lot of 4 star reviews, because I feel that its "very good", but this place is 6 stars. GO THERE AND ENJOY.

Andre M.

Yelp
Food ***** Although I'm not a Paella expert, this was delicious. We tried the "mixture" which had chicken, chorizo, pork, and a seafood mix. Prob was mid than enough and extremely flavorful. My daughter is allergic to garlic, and the chef made a special batch just for us. Staff **** Staff were generally friendly, but because the restaurant is small and crowded, they are constantly moving and it's difficult to focus and be friendly. They will did a good job with our table. Cost **** The cost of the Paella is a little high, but the portions are well worth it. We ordered for 3, but easily could have stretched for 4 or 5. Atmosphere **** Authentic and cozy, and what you would expect from a location that focuses on food and family.

Jennifer T.

Yelp
This place is small but great. I live very close. We had a coupon that was about to expire. Guest of all if you are in a hurry....call ahead! They will be happy to help and even recommended it for lunch hours. Each paella is made fresh! So it takes 20-30 minutes. The appetizers come out quickly. We ordered the mixed paella which came with lots of yummy seafood and chicken and pork and had to minus the chorizo due to allergies. They were nice about it. 6-8 ish 4 top tables is the size of restaurant. We still had half left over and I will be fighting my fiance for some of the left overs if he thinks he will sneak them all. You can add a lobster to paella dishes for less than 20 bucks. Now lunch menu they also have tapas style and burgers gyros and more. Literally something for everyone and sangria!!!!! The rolls were even great. Be warned they are closed on Tuesdays but open for lunch and dinner all other days. I was so full and had to force myself to stop because the seafood and meat was so tender and just yummy! Be warned it is hot as in warm cause of the cast iron pit it is served in. The paella dishes are for 2 and any additional person you add a fee so to speak. But be warned it serves more than 2! Will definately be back.

Yelp
I had been looking forward to eating here my whole trip, and it did not let me down! I can't speak to the quality of the paella, but as far as the tapas go, this place is the real deal! I ordered the caldo gallego, chorizo al brandy, and pollo al ajillo, and they were all fantastic! The caldo was super hearty and packed with greens, beans, and chorizo - it definitely had the authentic flavor of the caldo I had in Galicia. The brandy didn't impact the flavor of the chorizo much, but it did make it a little crisp and the flaming presentation is undeniably cool. Plus, chorizo has plenty of flavor on its own. The pollo al ajillo was juicy and packed with garlicky flavor - a must when something has garlic in the name. Finally, the bread they served definitely tasted like the kind you find in Spain - crusty on the outside and incredibly soft within. Service was friendly, and when I told them how much I love Spanish ingredients, they even brought out an extra slice of jamón serrano after my meal - I was stuffed but couldn't turn that down! All in all, the best meal of my trip and a surprisingly great find in a central Florida strip mall. Definitely make your way over here if you find yourself in Orlando.

Daks F.

Yelp
The paella was watery. The service was acceptable. She did her job but was not exactly nice or welcoming. It was quite pricey for not being very good and how can a paella house not know how to cook rice? Disappointing

Karina S.

Yelp
Came here to dinner with the family. Ordered the sampler with cured meets, cheese and olives. It was good and devoured by my couthless kids within seconds of the server placing it on the table. We also had an order of empanadas which I found to be tasty. The sangria we ordered was good, but not great. The paella was ok but I didn't feel like the seafood was of good quality. There was one waitress for 3 tables and the owner was busy speaking with another table. We had to request water 3 times before they brought it out. It also took quite a while to get someone attention to let them know we were ready for the check. All in all it was an ok meal.

Mercedes Y.

Yelp
What can I say, the food was amazing!!! The service and atmosphere was very intimate and family oriented! My fiance and I shared a seafood paella for 2 , the brandy chorizo appetizer and the fried calamari appetizer. We had no leftovers lol! The paella was fresh and served to us table side and oh so flavorful! We are definitely going back!!

Maria L.

Yelp
Reviews are over rated, I was reading the low realistic reviews from other guests, worst service ever, food ok, not great, I agree with others, I though was me, it's exactly as I felt on my first and LAST visit to the paella house restaurant, We visited with a coupon from pearks at work, I presented to the waitress , a fat lady that looks like it's partner or owner from her comments, she rolled her eyes and accepted the coupon , however, her attitude was disappointed when we presented it, she accommodated us, offered sangria drinks to start, I was taking medicines and driving, so, I decided no drink , she rolled her eyes again and turned her back with attitude, looks like she was pushing us to consume as much as she wants, no as much as we want. The old gentleman waiter, was great with us, he was smiling legitimately and when I asked for hot water with lemon , he went to bring me some, then that lady came back very upset and said, I must to charge your hot water and lemon - WTF ? Ok I said, whatever! One buck for half lemon and half water, menu showed some prices on the coke drinks- checkout showed one dollar extra vs the menu, when we asked , she said am sorry, however, didn't refund the extra charge . horrible service!! The worst !! Please avoid to have a bad experience, I will never come back unless is a new management involved.

En W.

Yelp
We interacted with 2 servers during our visit. One server, an older gentleman, was very nice and just pleasant to interact with. He was extremely friendly and seemed genuinely happy. The other server, a younger female, did not smile once and had this standoffish attitude. We asked her various questions, including the password to the wife, and she almost made you uncomfortable asking questions. We ordered the seafood paella, and it was not good. The rice was undercooked and the clams were dried up.

Johnny V.

Yelp
Very disappointing some of the worst paella I've ever had very rude staff. Mostly rice and the mussels in the seafood paella had gone bad tasting fowl. I left feeling sick and it all ended up coming up the wrong way by the time I got home. Having had paella all over Spain and Argentina I wouldnt call this authentic more less just gross stay away

Alex L.

Yelp
Food is wonderful, the Real-deal Spaniard food. The paella and tapas to die for! Service extremely friendly. Ask for Richard!

Jesus G.

Yelp
Went on a date with the wife, we decided to try something different. Found paella house and the found was awesome and the staff was extremely friendly and attentive. The place is small but cozy and clean. Our server ( male ) was well knowledge on the food and made great suggestions. There was different types of paellas, we had the Paella Valenciana Pork, chicken, chorizo and vegetables simmered in saffron rice. We will return with the inlaws

Ron H.

Yelp
Used Groupon coupon for this place thinking the coupon was for $24 off for any meal for two people. Once we got to the restaurant and was told that the coupon was only for one of the four rice (paella) dishes on the first page of the menu. (That was malo). Because we were hoping to try other Spanish dishes. Be aware the paella takes over 25 minutes to prepare. So if you're in a hurry........ We ordered Paella de Marisco. It looked great on the picture. When it arrived, it looks pretty much like the picture. Good for the restaurant. Since we never ate Spanish paella. We don't know what it tasted like. Seeing that it looked red with tomatoes and other spices. I was expecting maybe it was like pasta sauce. But when I took the first bite of the paella, it was too salty for my taste. The seafood itself was not that salty, but the paella was uhh (shuttering from the saltiness). The reason we decided to eat at the restaurant was to try something new while visiting Orlando, because there are no Spanish style food here in south suburb of Los Angeles. But only restricting our meal to paella dishes was disappointing, because the paella was too salty. I don't know if I would try it again if we find one here in Los Angeles. I saw the rating was very high by everyone, so we thought it would not hurt to give it a try. But not at this one if we visit Orlando again.

Donny F.

Yelp
This is a hidden gem in Orlando. We started with the meet stuffed potato balls and they were great. The dipping sauce was amazing. Our daughter had the ham croquettes with fries. She loved them. We had the paella for 2. We had the mixed one with the seafood and chicken. It was served table side and it was huge. We saw somebody getting the flaming sausage and we will have that next time. We washed it all down with a pitcher of sangria. To finish the meal we ordered the flan and was perfect. We will be back the next time we are back in o

Jose D.

Yelp
Food was just ok, and not expensive. No ambience and the staff seemed almost annoyed we were there. At one point of the servers paced around the restaurant while talking on her cell phone. The other server started singing aloud to the music that was playing. I don't recommend this place if you like good Spanish food and professionalism

Aly P.

Yelp
The service at Paella House is truly horrible. I went here with my best friend to celebrate my birthday. The initial decor wasn't what I was expecting but appearance can be deceiving. When I entered the restaurant I was promptly seated. When my best friend arrived the waitress kindly came over and asked what we wanted. I noticed on the menu that any coupons had to be presented before ordering. Which I thought was weird but it is what is is. The reception was bad and we had we having trouble downloading the voucher on Groupon. We decided to forgo the coupon and just order. I wish they would've been more accommodating but we accepted it. However when we asked for water, the waitress brought out tap water with no ice. It was hard to grab her attention but when I finally managed, I asked her for ice. It took a while for her to go back and get it, and once she did bring over ice, the glass was dirty. The paella we had however was absolutely delicious. I've never had paella before and I'm certain this won't be the last time...however it is the last time I'll ever visit Paella House. I originally wanted to give the restaurant one star, but despite the horrible service the food was delicious. Our waitress was incredibly inattentive despite the fact that there was only one other party in the restaurant dining during our meal. She spent more time talking to the other waiter about her driver license issue. My summary of Paella House is this: good food, but not worth the horrible service.

Joshua S.

Yelp
Absoultly Delicious !!! Everything was fresh ,made to order . We ordered the seafood paella and every bite of rice had some piece of seafood in it. The waitress was very knowledgeable she made you want to eat Everything on the menu. Will definitely have to return

Alex D.

Yelp
My family and I went to this restaurant on Sept 22, 2019 and the waitress took our order, waited over 40 minutes for the food or the waitress to come back and let us know where the food was that we ordered....we ended up walking out of the restaurant. Very dissatisfied. There were two other patrons in the restaurant and they were being served with no issues. We felt like were being singled out. Poor service.... or should I say NO service at all. Would not return to this restaurant and will let all my family and friends of the unacceptable / horrible experience....

M K.

Yelp
The food and wine were good but to be honest I expected more from a tapas place. The server was very nice and the service was good. Overall it wasn't really worth it.

Penny R.

Yelp
What a find. In Orlando for a seminar and usually dread eating here. But this Spanish restaurant changed that. Get the salteado and Spanish potatoes. Came for lunch and haven't tried the paella. The pork tips in garlic and olive oil were good but a bit salty. Will be back!

Elizabeth P.

Yelp
Nice little place. The waitress spoke very little English but she was very pleasant. I have wanted to try Paella for a long time. I saw Groupon had a special for this establishment so decided to give it a try. We arrived at 5 pm & were the only ones in the restaurant. Only two other customers came in while we there. Not good for a Friday night. Sense it takes 30 minutes for the Paella to cook, I decided to eat the dessert first! The Creme Brulee was delicious! We ordered the Valencia Paella. It was quite a stunning presentation when it arrived. We, two of us, barely made a dent in the dish. Lots of leftovers. I would have liked it with a tad bit more taste/spice & I'm not a real heat seeker. The draw back & the reason for the three star rating is because it was a little soupy & NO CRUNCHY rice on the bottom. Finally, the main reason for a three star is they tacked on a $5.75 "Service Fee." WTHeck is that for? It says gratuity not included. There was no sense asking the waitress since her English was very poor. Not someplace I need to return to. Anyone have a recommendation for the perfect Paella?

Audrey S.

Yelp
The food was amazing delicious we ordered the the seafood paella with lobster tail. So yummy it's worth the wait for food they bring it out fresh. The flan was so yummyyy we are visiting from Texas and came across this place. We found on yelp. (Spanish ) Muy bueno y muy amable y la comida espectacular

Maria D.

Yelp
Ate here about two weeks ago. The service was great. Place is nice and quaint. The decor was nice. But the Paella, which we ordered for six was a bit salty and I eat high in salt. Sangria and the tapas was great, especially the Octopus. They do serve plenty of food, but if they toned the salt down a bit it would be perfect.

Orlando A.

Yelp
It's so good don't spend your time worrying about the other restaurant next to it for it does not compare to the authenticity and quality of this restaurant it is a must go for authentic Spain food and etc.

Vivian W.

Yelp
I am been searching for good paella dish for a long time, and this is fantastic place. Everything is so delicious! The paella is really juicy and full of seafood test. Also while you waiting on the paella the tapas are also great. On the menu when you see must try. Try it! Worth than what you think! And the service is really friendly. And good pricing too! If you love seafood. You must to try!
