Came here for the Grand opening of sorts, which also featured complimentary slices. This to me was an excellent way to promote their pizza.
I say this because even after the event ended several people came in and still got some Pizza to go. I wanted to get the Italiano slice, but it was a hot pick, so I had to settle on just a plain and Pepperoni slice. Both were great. The pizza is made with whole milk mozzarella and seasoned tomato sauce baked on bricks. That's a new one for me. I do know it tasted great. The pepperoni was good too. It's advertised as 'Extra Pepperoni" but didn't look too much different than a standard pepperoni slice. Still, it was very good and could taste the ingredients described.
This location is new. It is a fair size with some counter style seating in the middle with table seating and a few counter seats near the entrance. There are a few seats outside as well but looks like they'd fill up quick.
The staff were really nice, and it looks like they have quite a few people to handle lots of orders which is a good sign. They pretty well handled the big crowd on my visit. They even had a young lady come and wipe all the tables after someone left, so that was nice and echoed a bit of the pandemic time where cleanliness was priority. I liked that.
So, everything was pretty much in order and would consider coming back for more, but the prices are a bit of a head turner. For a slice you're looking at $4 - $4.25. A bit of a dig, but doable if you're really looking for a slice. Pies start at $19 for an 11 - inch and go up from there. This is where it gets a bit steep. Again, I think I could come in for a slice or 2, and the pizza is good, but those pie prices hit. Some other places have comparable prices, but here is slightly higher.
Still, this is good pizza and in a great location. Across from the Locks, this a good place to come before or afterward for some lunch, take home or eat in.
