Cute spot - everything was a little over saturated in flavor. Too salty, too sweet, too gooey, but not necessarily in a bad way. Service was quick & friendly. If you’ve never had Korean-Chinese, I think this is a decent introduction to the fusion of cuisines. The space is tidy, clean, and well managed.

Clean environment, Fast Service! Food was great! Restroom was super clean! Parking lot is free. Wheelchair is accessible! They have apron to borrow for those who goes with white clothes and don't want oil to get on their clothes! A+++ Will definitely go there again! Price was great!

Google
As their website says it's where Korean flavors meet Chinese traditions. The Beef Jjamppong with noodles is good but the winner is the Jajangmyeon. It's savory with a lot of umami flavor. Give Paik's a try.

Love it here! I didn’t really expect much since Paik’s is a chain, but the quality and care put into this location is amazing. The tangsuyuk is my favorite item! I like that the sauce is on the side rather than poured on top of the pork as it keeps the the pork’s crispiness. The jajangmyeon is very hearty, savory and filling. The jjamppong reminds me somewhat of tom yum. The broth is light and they are decently generous with the add ins. I would recommend bringing a friend as the items are all pretty filling. But if you’re big and greedy like me, bring a friend just so you can share multiple items to taste everything ^_^ Edit 3/8/25: Came back today and tried the chicken instead and the batter is amazing!!! It’s very similar to a tempura batter, crispy and light. Also tried the chili jajangmyeon (after trying it once before another time) and they’ve stepped it up by adding a chili oil to it instead of just the peppers on top. Definitely prefer the spicy one now because of that.

Since people's greed is endless, if you look for the taste you ate in your hometown, it may not satisfy everyone, but among the Korean-style Chinese restaurants I've eaten in the Portland area, it's personally satisfying. The sweet and sour pork made with glutinous rice dough is quite chewy and tasty, and the Jjajangmyun is also quite tasty. Whenever I go there, I always like to order Jjajangmyun and sweet&sour pork together.

Google
Authentic Korean-Chinese spot for Jjajangmyeon, Jjampong and more. Today I tried the Jjampong: Chewy noodles 😌, generous seafood, savory umami with just the right amount of spice. Clean, casual with good service. Order and pay at counter-- good for groups who want to pay individually. I'm Korean and I lived and ate in Los Angeles Koreatown for 15 years. Now I'm in Portland. Happy to find a place that's up to standard. I'm excited to return to try the rest of the menu.

Google
This is a great stop for some tasty and affordable jajangmyeon and sweet and sour pork! The workers are super friendly and attentive! Love that they offer tea for free! The ordering system is interesting where you go up to order then sit at your table. I didn't mind it, it was just different.

Google
I was surprised how good their jjajangmyun was. Jjampong was good as well. The beef jjampong tasted like Korean radish stew. Tangsuyuk (sweet and sour pork) was okay, not the best. I would definitely be back.

Yelp
When I found out this restaurant opened near me, I was excited since I've tried this restaurant chain in Korea. You order at the counter when you enter and get seated by staff. We got the sweet and sour pork (a must), jjamppong, and jajangmyeon. The star of the show was definitely the pork and jajangmyeon. They're so good paired together! For a party of 2, we were left with leftovers from the pork and jjamppong. Food came out very quickly, which is a plus! Seating space in this restaurant is decent, I can tell it can get crowded during weekends and most especially dinner time. Can't wait to go back again so I can try their chicken wings and shrimp (says coming soon on their menu)!

Yelp
So yummy! I first got takeout here with my parents. I went back today with my boyfriend to dine in. I love the stir fried jajangmyeon! It's spicy, but not overkill. Love the many toppings such as the seafood and veggies. Boyfriend got the jjampong. Great for those who love seafood. It's a good level of spice. The mandu are good too, but nothing special. The regular jajangmyeon tasted plain in my opinion. They give us the pickeled radish as a side. No other banchan. I would like to try the sweet and sour pork next time. Service is quick. You order at the front and they give you a number to take to your table. They gave us a pitcher of water like most Korean restaurants do. I think the prices are expensive for what they give you.

Kelvin Y.

Yelp
Ok noodles. Portions were very slim. Music was played through a very bad sound system (the speakers sound broken) that further detracted from the food experience. Paik's Noodle has potential to be a decent restaurant but Paik's Noodle has to serve adequate portions for the moderate prices Paik's Noodle's charging the customers. Service was fast, friendly and efficient.

Tiffany D.

Yelp
The jjamppong here tastes just like instant ramen, so either instant ramen is very good at replicating jjamppong or the other way around. I love instant ramen though, so take it as you will. The stir fried jjajangmyeon was good but there wasn't a strong black bean flavor. Both entrees could've used more protein. Overall, cheap food that satisfies if you're craving.

Chul L.

Yelp
I had visited Paik's noodles at other locations, and it was our go-to for jjampong and jajangmyeon. So, it's exciting to have Paik's noodles in our town. We ordered the jjampong, the stir-fried jajangmyeon, and sweet and sour pork. The stir-fried jajangmyeon was really good, just like we remembered. However, the jjampong lacked a bit of flavor and didn't quite match the taste of the other locations. Lunchtime has become less busy, which is a relief because the soft opening was incredibly crowded, and we had to wait forever. Additionally, there are plenty of parking spots, and the staff was very friendly.

Yelp
Famous Korean Chef Jong Won Paik's fast noodle chain now in Beaverton. At peak times, it can be confusing whether to walk up to the middle of the room to the register counter or to self sign in immediately to the left of the doorway entrance. The latter. Loud & crowded is the norm with not much decor to look at. Also the norm is to tip first when ordering and be serviced later. With employees running around it seems to inconvenience them when you ask for some more water or napkins. The jjajang black bean sauce is good, a tad salty. Stirfried Jjajangmyeon is a hefty portion enough for two ~ ask for more black bean sauce for this one. Jjamppong is always better with noodles vs. rice. Anything with a chili pepper icon is spicy with a good kick. Request for light spicy for those with low heat tolerance.

Scott S.

Yelp
The food was made to order. I got the seafood omelet dish that tasted great. My partner and I joke that I can be a little bit petty counting the number of shrimp I get in items. I counted four with this one. At first I wasn't sure if I sit and wait to be seated or go up to the front by the register because of the sign up list. I think it's a franchised so you can find some other of these locations around the US but it is a first for our neighborhood. I would go back again to try this but the soup that came with my dish was far too spicy for me.

Shanna C.

Yelp
So glad this is finally open in Oregon! I've tried to come here on two occasions and unfortunately wasn't able to get a table in time. Came for a third time around 1230 on a rainy Sunday, and there was no wait! This place is super efficient. You walk in, order at the register, grab a number, go to a table, and your food is brought to you. We ordered the spicy jjajjangmyeon (black bean noodle) and an order of the tangsuyuk (sweet and sour pork) to share between the two of us. It was a good amount of food, and so delicious! I love that the noodles are chewy but still soft and served as the perfect vehicle for the savory black bean sauce. My husband and I love spicy, so we really enjoyed the spicy version. The regular I'm sure would also be just as good. I really liked the tangsuyuk here. I love that the breading is light and crispy but doesn't fall apart under the sauce. I also appreciated that the pork here doesn't have a bad after taste that sometimes pork can have if not seasoned properly. Overall, we would definitely come back again! According to some reviews, it sounds like the wait can go by fairly quickly, so do keep that in mind.

Beth E.

Yelp
These black bean noodles are bomb.com! The flavor is really good. This is the best ones I have had in the Beaverton area! Food came out quick, we were able to quickly get a table on Monday night. Def recommend. I want more just looking at the pictures.

Yelp
I visited Paik's Noodle on a Friday evening and found the place to be crowded. I had to put my name on the waiting list but still got seated after a few minutes. Unfortunately, some items that were advertised on their website were not available. The fried dumplings were crispy yet still juicy on the inside, offering a delightful contrast in texture. The sweet and sour pork, accompanied by the sweet and sour sauce on the side, felt like it could have been more crisp and crunchy. While the gooey sweet and sour sauce was delectable, it made the fried starch on the Tangsuyuk almost jelly-like after sitting out on the table for a while. The noodles had a commendable texture, providing a satisfying base for both the Jajangmyeon and the Jjamppong. The Jajangmyeon sauce had good flavor, but pork meat was scarce. Similarly, the Jjamppong had good spice, but there wasn't much seafood in the soup. I was only able to find one small squid tentacle and two mussels in our soup. I wonder if this was because we arrived at the end of the day and were served the remainder of the batch. Despite these shortcomings, the overall dining experience was positive. The restaurant was clean, the service was friendly, and the portion sizes were good value for money.

Yelp
We came here because its the first thing to ever really stand up to sushi hana next door which has for over a decade been an institution who's neighbor always was a dud. This place was apparently known well enough to have a huge grand opening, long lines, and a lot of hullaballoo to get it started. We went after that had calmed down. I'm not really one for lines if I can help it. Honestly I would consider this the Panda Express of Korean food. You order at the counter and the food is fine. Like I don't go to Panda for good Chinese food and I don't go to Taco Bell for Mexican food, I certainly wouldn't go here for Korean food. I do however go to these places for a greasy good time and I think Paik's is similar. The noodles are fine, not overly flavorful, not enough meat for what we paid, and Jajangmyeon noodles are honestly cheaper and better to make at home. That being said the service was good, servers were nice, the food was quick, and the place was clean. I didn't hate it, but I wouldn't go again for the price.

Yelp
Long wait line for this new Korean restaurant. Signed up and 40 minutes later we came back from browsing at target nearby. The menu is limited and features jajyangmyeon and fried pork tangsuyuk. The appetizers that others have shown are not available. The table water and service was a bit slow and the server brought out our silverware separately but even forgot the chopsticks. I mean fork and chopsticks can be brought in one delivery right? And maybe more than one napkin? It's annoying that a messy meal with a lot of sauce provides you with a single thin dry out your skin paper napkin. The food finally arrived and it was a bit bland. The jajyangmyeon had thin slices of pork loin that weren't flavorful or seasoned. The jajyangmyeon at Wok N Guys has flavor. The seasoned work and fatty pork bits have flavor not gristle. The jajyangmyeon here at Paik's is just lean and kinda cold. The sauce wasn't served that hot. Not lukewarm but not steaming either. I would rate it 3 out of 10 on flavor and quality of ingredients. There were bits of sliced cabbage ends and core. The white ends of cabbage and just cheap bits of veggies. No green cabbage or fresh veggies. Noodles were also kinda thin and not chewy. Tangsuyuk used the same thin strips of pork loin that were lean and dry. The pork was heavily battered in cornstarch or tapioca flour so I was eating mostly batter. Sauce was too sweet. This is a 4 out of 10 star item. Overall it's kinda disappointing. Glad to see more Korean eateries open up. This is a franchise location and I've tried the one in San Jose. The San Jose location had slightly better chewy noodles. Better sauce and there was fried spicy shrimp on the menu. The Tangsuyuk there was better with different quality of pork cuts. The business just opened and they are figuring it out. If the owners continue to use cheap quality ingredients and serve bland food and not train staff in service etiquette like bringing all utensils then well it's not worth another trip.

Yelp
A newer Korean-chinese noodle style restaurant (I believe it's a franchise) has just opened up in town. It's located in a small strip mall near Washington Square. We stopped by for lunch and tried some items out. We ordered the chili jajangmeyon, jjamppong, and some dumplings. The noodles for the jajangmeyon had a nice texture to it. The sauce was flavorful but slightly a bit sweet for me. The chili peppers on it definitely gave it a kick. Some of those peppers were definitely spicy, which is good for spicy lovers. The dumplings were nice and crispy. I do want to try a couple of the other items next time.

Helen J.

Yelp
Came here a few days ago with a few friends and I gotta say it was pretty good! I enjoyed my noodles and I got seated like 20 minutes after I got on the wait list on a Wednesday night. The meat came out first and it was crispy and it came with a sweet dipping sauce along with it. Our noodles took a little longer to come out but it wasn't too long of a wait and I gotta say the wait was worth it. I'm glad we have a Korean-Chinese jajangmyeon restaurant located near Washington square/ target! Hope more people get to enjoy this restaurant too.

Samy S.

Yelp
I visited on a Saturday evening and it was super busy! there was a line that wrap outside but the turnover was super quick! I tried the jangjangmyeon w/ noodles, sweet and sour pork, and the chili seafood soup!! The extra chili soup was super spicy but it was yummy. The jangjangmyeon was great too. I'll come back though just for the jangjangmyeon

Bryan Y.

Yelp
i had the jjajiangmyeon (black bean noodle) and tang-soo-yook (sweet and sour pork) and it was pretty good. the noodles were standard, better than most of the other places in portland and the pork dish was ok. like very just ok. it all sated a need, but overall wasn't anything to write home about, considering the guy whose name is against this chain is some famous chef or something i think. but i guess that's how franchise chains go. anyway, don't get me wrong. it's good. and the price points are very good, especially in comparison to all the other very overpriced same foods out there in pdx. the rating is more like a 3.5 than a 3, i'd say.

Carol P.

Yelp
So quick and easy. No line on this Saturday. Delicious jajang ( little sweeter than I'm used to but not in a bad way) and spicy jambong. The gunmandu was so crispy. Light on filling.

Res U.

Yelp
food was ok. price reasonable but small portion. Tangsuyuk NOT crispy at all and "where is the meat?" all dough, just thin slice of meat. Jajangmyeon was very disappointing also. Maybe I had too high of expectation. Paik would be very disappointed.

Dennis C.

Yelp
Quick service with ordering and paying upfront. The food is decent, and while the place can get crowded, it's still a convenient spot for a satisfying meal.

Hannah C.

Yelp
Got the jajangmyeon and chili jajangmyeon! Very delicious! Chili jajangmyeon is really spicy so only get it if you can tolerate spice. Staff were kind and the service was very fast.

Shin O.

Yelp
Yep, it's finally here. The most popular chinese-korean fusion food in Korea. Service is excellent, the servers are attentive and kind. Ambiance is a bit noisy but considering the amount of people lining up to eat here, that's expected. Try to go at opening hour unless you like to chat with friends in the line for up to half an hour during the weekends.

Sun P.

Yelp
So happy Portland finally has Korean-Chinese noodle house! Jajamyoun is a very popular black bean noodle dish, that other places in Portland/ Beaverton does not do a good job. This is a chain and have eaten here when in Los Angeles. Their specialty is several variation of Jajamyun and Jampong (spicy seafood noodle soup) and have several appetizers for the table, and Ofcourse sweet and sour pork is most popular and that is what they have. Ordered jajamyun platter ( it has spicy kick, but you can ask for mild) tangsuyuk ( sweet and sour pork, and as should be sauce came out separately so that it doesn't get soggy)! ) and fried Mandu. I came at 5 pm on weekday so no waiting with prompt service. Everyone was so friendly. I loved the jajamyun platter, plenty of veggies and seafood (small shrimp and squid) and unlike many places was not too sweet or salty. My open complaint is I wished they had beef version of tangsuyuk, which most places typically have. Am so happy now there is place to have jamping and jajamyun, every time I have the craving... which is atleast once a month

Carmela G.

Yelp
The place was clean. We were asked to order at the counter and pay for our food first before we find a seat. We ordered the following for a group of 4: - Stir-fried Jajangmyeon - was very good but was very spicy! I was so hungry so I had to eat with lots of water to quench the spice. If you cant tolerate spicy food, don't order this. But if you can, this is sooo good!!! - Vegetable Stir-fried Noodles - this is so good as well, try this if you can't handle spicy food. - Jjamppong - another dish that's too spicy!!! I don't recommend this if you can't handle spicy food. - Sweet and Sour Pork - I did not try this but I can see that most of the people who came ordered this. I would still maybe come back and make sure I look for the sign before I order. I really would love to try the stir-fried jajangmyeon with less spice next time, hope they will do that.

Kathleen N.

Yelp
service was fast and simple. ordered at the counter and sat ourselves. we ordered the jjampong and jajang rice. both were ok. large portions. besides the two obvious mussels, we had to fish for the seafood and pork (there were a few small pieces). i liked that jajang wasn't as oily as what im used to at other restaurants. overall, ok experience!

Priscilla P.

Yelp
Jajangmyeon is good but had very little meat, tangsuyuk batter was a little too thick & jampong was lacking. It was not very flavorful & a little too spicy. Mandu was good.

Cathy S.

Yelp
We came here on a Saturday lunch time during their soft opening so it was pretty busy! There were a few hiccups but I think they will work it out by the grand opening so I wanted to give them some grace here. The sign-in ordering system was a little confusing because even though you are ordering at the counter you have to sign in to wait to be called up? Th waiting area is super small so it got congested super fast. BUT with all that said, the menu is straight forward with picture and super reasonable pricing for the portions. My friend and I and our kids (4 people total) for the Chinese-Korean "trifecta" to share - sweet and sour pork, jajangmeun, and seafood jampong. The noodles were super long but fresh and chewy. The black bean noodles had lots of onions and cabbage and was on the sweeter side for me and our bowl didn't have that much meat in it. The seafood soup had that sneaky spice and the pork was crispy and light and went perfectly with the gooey dipping sauce. It was a good amount of food for us and we even had food to bring home. I will definitely be back when I'm craving some legit Chinese-Korean food and don't feel like paying Wok n Guy prices!

Kim L.

Yelp
Don't be scared by the huge crowd outside Paik's. It gets busy here but service is super quick so the tables turn around quickly. The jajangmyeon, jjamppong and tangsuyuk are all tasty and priced reasonably. My only critique is you don't get that much proteins in the jjm. Maybe it's because they're scooping the jjm sauce out of a huge pot so it's not an even distribution of meat. I think I had about 5 tiny pork pieces in my bowl. Despite that I enjoyed this meal and devoured it like a hawk. I was so hungry that afternoon and it satisfied my noodle craving.

cc l.

Yelp
Paik's I feel was over hyped by social media. I ordered the Jjajang Myron, jjam pong broth as a side and the sweet and sour pork. The Jjajang Myeon was too sweet and little to no meat in the sauce. The Jjampong broth had little to no seafood. The sweet and sour pork was small but good. I would go to another restaurant and pay more for better Korean Chinese food.

Sampson S.

Yelp
overall ratings food: 4.5/5 service: 5/5 atmosphere: 4/5 price: $ value: worth it! Paik's Noodle is the newest Korean food chain to open in Oregon. Located behind Washington Square Mall in Tigard. Even on a Sunday evening around 4:30 pm (dinner opening-time), there were already 24 people on the waitlist. Fortunately, our names were called before 5 pm, which was a pleasant surprise. Paik's Noodle offered a limited menu with a few entree choices. We ordered the Jajangmyeon, Jajangmyeon with Egg Omelet, and Sweet & Sour Pork with sweet and sour sauce on the side. The total bill, including tip, was $43.00, which is an affordable price for the generous portions. The Jajangmyeon was a highlight, with a nice noodle texture and flavorful sauce, although it could have used more seasoning. The egg omelet with Jajangmyeon sauce was a tasty combination, and it came with a side of Jjamppong soup. The Sweet & Sour Pork was a bit disappointing, as it could have been crisper and more flavorful. Overall, our experience was pleasant. The servers were well-trained, fast, and attentive, and the restaurant space was clean. The portion sizes were decently sized for the price, making it a great option for those craving Jajangmyeon. I'm forward in coming back soon!

Randy D.

Yelp
The Stir-fried Jajangmyeon was spicy but good. My wife and son enjoyed the regular Jajangmyeon. We also had the sweet sour pork. All was good. Service was great. This is definitely on our list when we return to Oregon.

James C.

Yelp
Went to Paik's and ordered 1 of each of their main items. 1 jajang noodles, 1 sweet sour pork, 1 spicy seafood noodles for $44 with tip. The good part: The jajang noodles (Black bean sauce) flavor was very good. Not sure I understand what the experience is suppose to be like. I guess this is fast food Korean? Other than that there was so many issues. From the beginning where you can't sit down, but you have to order from the counter and of course they demand tip before any service. And the entire experience is low/no service. So after you order then they tell you that you can pick any table you like. The theme is the same. In every order you feel like they are cutting corners low/no meat low ingredients. The sweet and sour pork is overwhelmingly breading with some pieces completely breading only and I suppose it is suppose to be stylishly air'd out puffy breading, but beyond the first layer it is actually lots of gooey breading. The sauce is good flavor, but in every step you can't help but feel like constant cutting corners and getting ripped off. The spicy seafood noodles again skimpy ingredients and thus the flavor of the broth is spicy, but not rich. 1 piece of squid, 2 clams and rest veggies?!? These items are Korean staples so I imagine everyone will notice these issues and will ultimately feel unsatisfied if not offended and feel like they are ripping you off. How can this business model survive when far better have trouble making it. Perhaps just a sign of the bad economy. And the last comment that is almost funny as I think about it. This is the first Korean restaurant I have ever been to in my life where they didn't give you Korean spoons! Long handle so your hand never touches the bowels. They gave us American dinner spoons. LOL A sad blend of unsatisfied and perhaps shocked amusement.

Nichole C.

Yelp
Went here for black bean noodles and was not disappointed, quick and friendly service and the best Jajangmyeon I have had here in Beaverton. Pro tip get the sweet and sour pork and ask for the sauce on the side to dip and keep the pork nice and crunchy.

Hyeseon J.

Yelp
I'm so happy that the famous Paik's Noodle restaurant has finally arrived in Oregon!! It was very clean and new, and the servers were very kind. We ordered sweet and sour pork, jjampong, and jjajangmyeon. The sweet and sour pork was unique and it was my favorite:) Also you should try the fried dumplings!! So crispy and savory!! Definitely I'll visit again!

Lindsey P.

Yelp
finally a jjajangmyun & tangsuyuk spot in portland! went to this chain's location in LA ktown and this is definitely it. simple menu, straight to what you are looking for at a jjajangmuyn place. it was a bit of a wait when i came around 11 on Saturday but it was worth it. jjajangmyun was delicious and the tangsuyuk definitely scratched my itch for it. batter is a bit thick but very crunchy so all good.

Gina K.

Yelp
So delicious! Being a Southern California native and moving to Portland, it has been tough finding a good Korean-Chinese restaurant. In comes Paik's! Got the Jajangmyeon, stir fried jajangmyeon, jjamppong, and sweet and sour pork. They were all delicious and the noodles had a good chewy, bouncy texture. The Jajangmyeon and stir fried Jajangmyeon were our favorites! Will be back for sure :)

Jane K.

Yelp
Best korean/chinese food in portland. I have visited this restaurant in Korea and this location is as good as what I had in Korea. Very authentic & the service is nice! Must visit

William P.

Yelp
Was good. Prices are reasonable. Very casual place to eat and plus lots of parking. Near Washington Square.

Sue S.

Yelp
I tried Jjamppong. The broth was okay but the amount of seafood was very disappointing. It wasn't spicy at all, which was another disappointment. In general, it was okay for the price.

Monica M.

Yelp
There were quite a few people in the waitlist, but we did not wait too long. Service is a bit different. You order from the menu and pay first. They give you a number and then bring you water and plates, ect once you pick a seat. The food was vary flavorful and good price for the quantity! However, I really wish they had spice level options. The spicy jajangmyeong was so good but a bit painful to handle (so if your spice tolerance is low, beware!) The dumplings were crisp and delicious. And the Jjamppong was tasty as well but very little seafood inside. Overall good experience and would return.

A P.

Yelp
Got noodles to go and they packed such big servings! Yummy! Appreciate when the sauce and noodles are separated

Bill R.

Yelp
Something new to try. Service was very good, restaurant was nice and clean. Food was fine, but nothing to write home about. The rice and noodle dishes with black bean sauce are pretty good, if a touch basic. The soup was raging spicy - absolutely no way we would eat it. Maybe that's to some people's liking. Not sure I'd come back, but it was okay.

Vuthy M.

Yelp
Tries it during grand opening. Its really good. The broth isnt fishy like most places i know for jjamppong. Decent amount of seafood, but it wasnt musty. Service was good. Friendly and kinda fast to bring your food.
