Painted Lady Coffee House

Great humble little coffee shop. Local art on the walls. Fantastic service, really friendly and connected. I ordered an almond milk latte and got an almond chai latte- it was not very good I think there was coffee in it so maybe a dirty chai latte? The coffee tasted burnt. We got a cinnamon roll and banana bread which were both great. Maybe the coffee was having an off day we will go again to see.

Stopped in for lunch. The BLT was incredible! I'll be going back for another when I get the chance. Update: breakfast options are the best! Delicious breakfast sandwiches, HUGE danishes, incredible BACON! Staff is great, very friendly, kind. Local art for sale on the walls. There really isn't a reason not to stop in, unless your being chased by a Tricerahops.

Staff and service is always excellent here. The bakery section is absolutely delicious. Never ordered anything that I didn't like here. Last time I was here they accidentally forgot to make one of my drinks. It was really no big deal, when I realized it wasn't coming I just came up and asked for it. Staff was very apologetic and made my drink immediately. The owner handed me a voucher good for a free drink on my next visit due to their mistake. Like I said it was not a big deal and I was not upset at all. After all, we are all only human. But this act of excellent customer service that went above and beyond was amazing and so rare these days. This is how you run a great business! The Painted Lady Cafe is now my favorite coffee spot and I visit here at least twice a week.

I’ve been here a few times, both for coffee and for a quick breakfast. They make wonderful espresso and all their baked treats and breakfast foods are from scratch. I’ve had the biscuits and gravy, and it was perfect. I’ve also had various treats from the pastry case and they have all been fresh and tasty. It’s also very clean, which is nice to see.

Besides the amazing selection of baked goods they have very good coffee. The customer service is always friendly and today she went out of her way to assist me as I wasn't feeling well. This is always a stop I look forward to when I have my appointment on Main St. The atmosphere is comfortable and always relaxing with a artsy touch like many enjoyable cafes in ME Portland. I always look forward to my visit to Painted Lady. Thank you.

It was really good! I had the the biscuit, with an egg on top, with sausage gravy poured over it, and bacon on top. Very tasty. This is a nice little place. The strawberry danish looks fantastic, but I was too full to try it. Would recommend to give this place a try.
