Rita’s Law opens in Five Points this spring | Eater Denver

"Located inside the renovated Melbourne Hostel building at 22nd and Welton in Five Points, this new neighborhood bar owned by Denver native Rita Price will emphasize repurposed and reused materials, custom-designed furniture, and a patio. The name is inspired by Yhprum’s Law—the optimistic cousin of Murphy’s Law—reflecting Price’s aim that “everything that can go right will go right,” and she envisions a place where a 21-year-old can sit next to an 85-year-old and strike up a conversation. Sprung Construction incorporated historic elements such as a custom-built bar using wood paneling from the Zang Mansion and a bar top made from trailer truck beds by McPhee McGinnity Lumber Co.; the back bar uses staves from Breckenridge Distillery barrels for whiskey barrel–inspired shelves, and the space also features refurbished doors from Epworth Church, light fixtures from the NATIV hotel, and a patio fence made of vintage billboard panels. To obtain a tavern license despite being “just a little too close to Ebert Elementary School,” Price converted an old school bus into a fully functioning kitchen. Price plans to source ingredients from Colorado- and Denver-based businesses, and the bar aims to open in late March or early April." - Susan Stapleton

Overall a chill and casual atmosphere and good outdoor lounge space to relax with friends and play corn hole or a game of darts. It wasn’t very busy when was there so it was a nice place to chat and catch up with a group. I loved the decor and of course they have cute seasonal Halloween decor that is also fun. I didn’t eat or drink here but one of my friends did and enjoyed his drink. Next time I’m getting a screwball shot with cranberry juice (Pb&j style)

This is easily one of the best , if not the best neighborhood bars around. The service is consistently excellent, the atmosphere is welcoming, and there’s always great energy with live music, quality drinks, and a laid-back vibe. Mike, the owner, sets the tone. On one occasion, I dropped a $100 bill and he returned it without hesitation, which speaks volumes about the integrity and hospitality here. The staff as a whole are just as genuine and attentive. Truly a 10/10 local elevated dive bar experience.

Went in last night. Bartender was extremely nice. Happy hour prices were great and regular prices were also great for downtown Denver. Like with all my reviews, I really care about the bathroom mirrors because I love a good selfie. They had great, well lit mirrors and fun wall paper. Will go back again. My only request, please get fat tire on draft! Great time, thanks for having us.

They have a decent house Tequila. I ran in before a Sublime show and grabbed a less expensive shot. Prices are fairly reasonable.

Living next door to Pairadice has turned out to be one of the best unintentional amenities of my apartment complex. Funny enough, I actually met some of my neighbors from the building at the bar—it’s that kind of place. You walk in and feel like you’re already part of something. I celebrated my birthday here recently, and it couldn’t have been a better choice. Mike and Dave, the owners, are the chillest bar owners I’ve ever come across. They’ve created a space that feels welcoming, laid-back, and genuinely fun. You can tell they care about the people who come through the door, and that makes all the difference. The ambiance is solid, but it’s the community that really makes Pairadice stand out. On Wednesdays, the bar is taken over by a friendly crew of chess players who’ve even taught me how to play. Thursdays are for music bingo, a nostalgic throwback to high school that’s always a good time. Whether you show up solo or with friends, it’s the kind of place where strangers turn into familiar faces. Pairadice is exactly what you want in a neighborhood bar—comfortable, unpretentious, and full of good people.

If you’re looking for a chill night out, I highly recommend Pairadice! Great drink menu, with a happy hour that features $1 off drafts, $5 wine, and $4 well drink. The atmosphere is very relaxed, with dart boards and corn hole. Music bingo adds a unique twist to the usual bar games, making it a great way to unwind with friends. Overall, it’s an awesome spot for a casual night out. Highly recommend! PS Mike and Dave, the owners, are genuinely the best humans.

First of all we walk in and the DJ walks up to us and says sorry about the white music playing. We told him we listen to all kinds of music. The drinks were terrible. On another note the Chicken Quesidias were Good. The Grill Cheese was also good.

Yelp
Pairadice is a great little find. It's new but already feels like a cozy favorite joint. Enjoyed a few cocktails on a snowy Friday. Loved the bar top with all the dice. The old fashioned was a perfect tonic for the cold evening.

Yelp
Just recently opened. Liquors and beers around the world - including Sapporo and Sake. Punk rock chill music vibes. Mel was so cool, loved her personality! She gave us a few places to check out during our visit. Definitely worth checking out.
