Food was tasty and the price was reasonable. However, it isn’t the nicest looking place to eat in.

Decided to try this place out for the first time and had the spicy curry chicken combo. The flavors were strong and wonderful but the chicken was very tough. I will go back and hope the fish is more tender. Overall, good food, large portions, great price.

It’s open until late night like 3am and has tea, veg curry, biryani and samosa available for those who don’t eat meat. It’s very reasonably priced with decent food quality. They sell water for dollar. The restaurant does stink a bit. Not clean and hygienic. The lady at the counter taking order didn’t seem interested or give a damn. I’d give 5/5 for chai and 4/5 for Samosa.

Edit: it has reopened after being bought by Bukhara and everything that made it endearing has disappeared. Now bored servers serve mediocre food. Below is what it used to be... One of the best South Asian places in the city. Pakistanis and Indian natives, both will appreciate how delicious, spicy and flavorful the food is. After years of living in New York away from India, finally finding this place was a god sent! A near home cooked feel with a very friendly staff. The lunch specials are great value for money- for under $10 you can get any meat (lamb or fish is my favorite), two vegetables and rice or freshly made naan! That's the main selling point for me- fresh! Most expensive Indian/Pakistani/Bangladeshi restaurants in the city catering to spice-intolerant westerners have nothing on this little gem.

love this place for a quick shot of cheap n spicy. if you're looking for pampering, don't come here. if you have specific dietary needs, don't come here. if you just want great tasting food for non-tribeca prices (and a generous portion at that) stop by. you'll be in and out in 5 minutes. (i personally wouldn't enjoy sitting in and eating - if you want to sit, check out Salaam Bombay on Greenwich b/t Reade and Chambers).

This is a halal restaurant. They have delicious chicken items, and one fish item. Roti and tandoori rotis are very good. They make packages as customers wants. Customer service is 5 out of 5. More clean will be good. Dine in available. Price is reasonable.

I would probably give 2.5 stars for food but definitely 0 (zero) for cleaning and neatness . Being from Pakistan I would hate to write this review but it’s really sad that this is a prime spot where you have people from offices, tourists and locals are coming to you . As a owner/employee, how could you keep this place so dirty/filthy , disgusting. I would love to contact the owner and give some advise. This is embarrassing for us Pakistani people that what do people from different ethnicities would think about us 😔.
