Very nice hiking 🥾. I recommend to have a good shoes and a lot of water. We went to Manita (Mad) cave and were quite happy. Going up to the cave is not easy but doable. Cave works from 10 to 13 and entrance cost 5$ (only cash). There is no guided tour in it, so just come in a good time. Toilet is only near the entrance to the park. In park you can find some drink water refill.

One of these places where you don't need to walk much to see something amazing;) Just outside the parking lot, you can observe climbers or simply rest in the shade of the mountains and trees. Definitely go on a trek too or take a climbing lesson with a local guide!

The hikes are challenging but manageable, we almost didn’t go because the pictures do not do this place justice but it was indescribably beautiful. The views start in the parking lot! There are some huts along the trail to get food and drinks if you forget to pack a lunch. if you make time for this park, you will not regret it :)

Very beautiful park with routes for both beginners and experienced climbers and hikers. I went hiking myself and decided to walk up to the cave. It was a tough journey to the top with 28 degrees celcius, but once we made it and paid the small cave entrance fee of €5,- we were welcomed with a huge cave which was very nice and cool. You can then continue as experienced hiker up the mountain or go back down the same route. I recommend coming early. The times it takes to go to a point check out pretty well if you have a good walking pace. Good to know is that there is also some drinking water points along the route sometimes. We were okay taking 1.5 liters each, and then refilling when needed.

Wonderful hike on the Anića kuk. Have also visited Manita Peć cave and I’m just impressed how diverse this place is. Have finished my trip with a nice climbing session and have visited a museum. Five stars experience for me!

This past May I got the chance to visit Paklenica National Park. I didn’t know what to expect but it wasn’t the incredible cliffs and trails that looked up at climbers high on the cliff faces. Absolutely incredible. I don’t have enough words to explain so I’ve attached a recent blog post I wrote about the park. https://thelazytraveller0.wordpress.com/2024/08/14/discover-croatias-natural-gems-plitvice-lakes-and-paklenica-national-parks/

Definitively nice views, different levels of hiking paths and worthy to visit. The only thing I would suggest is better signs on the trails, for long time and long trails there is no information about how much you have walked, what’s the remaining time for the next attraction/view point, altitude, etc.

A stunning walk up the canyon, steep to start with then leveling out. 11 or 12 km round trip, and worth every step. Lovely lodge at the top. Not very arduous and virtually empty after the first couple of km. Thoroughly recommended.
