Where To Get Soft Serve In Miami

"At this Little Havana ice cream shop, you can also get a Cuban sandwich or mangu with your soft serve. It’s a classic spot where locals meet by the concrete tables outside and catch up over ice cream. The tables are fully covered too, so your ice cream isn't directly exposed to the sun. And Palace offers an impressive number of ways to eat your soft serve: on a sugar cone, as a sundae, a banana split, and even as a parfait." - virginia otazo, ryan pfeffer, mariana trabanino

Palace Cafe & Dairy Review - Little Havana - Miami - The Infatuation

"Palace Cafe & Dairy is reminiscent of the old-school Dairy Queens with concrete tables outside, except that Palace Cafe serves Cuban and Dominican food, too. Located right down the street from where the Marlins play, this is a great place to grab a traditional Dominican breakfast of mangu (mashed plantains) with fried salami and eggs (which they serve all day) or a proper Cuban sandwich. But we love the old-school, nostalgic ice cream here even more. You can enjoy a scoop of unnaturally green pistachio ice cream or Barbie Dream House pink strawberry ice cream. Or you can share a banana split with friends on one of those tiled concrete tables under Palace’s awning. photo credit: Cleveland Jennings" - Carlos C Olaechea

Google
I took my mom here for ice cream on a random afternoon. I was pleasantly surprised by its prices and just old school charm. We had soft serve in cones nothing fancy but just as effective (and very affordable) on a hot Miami day. We sat outside (they only have outdoor seating) on one of their little picnic tables and enjoyed people watching. All in all, I'm so happy a little place still like this still exists in Miami.

The lady was nice and my coffee ☕️ tasted just right. Like my buttered bread was toasted so good(Pan Cubano). Overall can't wait to go back. For the ice cream 🍦

I loved this little place, the location isn’t that big but the food is! I had a Palace combo with French fries and it was absolutely finger licking good! With that I washed it down with some Pineapple Soda and I had a Oreo Blizz for dessert before work. 😋 if you like a nice neighborhood sandwich/ice cream spot this is the place for you! Yummy!!

Google
I’ve always came here for just ice cream and I’ve always loved it, but this time I came for the food and of course, it did not disappoint! Great food and ice cream as always!

Reminded me of an old school drive-in like back in the day. There was a very nice lady who patiently helped me decide what to try. She even came from behind the counter to discuss some of the ingredients for me. I didn't sit on the benches under the canopy but I definitely will next time. Food quality and service have earned my patronage lol.. But the ice cream!!!! Smh just creamy goodness with whatever toppings you could think. It took me back to my younger years hand churning ice cream with my granny!

Low key, delicious ice cream. Free parking, good shade. Outside seating only. Casual.

This is a decent place to go and have treats, especially before Marlin's baseball games. This establishment sits on the corner of Northwest 7th Street and 13th Avenue. There you will find space for parking and tables (with covering - ceiling) that protect you from the rays of the sun. Included on this delectable menu are : sandwiches - cuban, mofo go with pork, steak, mangu w/fried salami, hamburger, grilled chicken breast w/ fries, etc. Now some of the dairy (ice cream) treats include : banana split, Knickerbocker glory, vanilla ice cream cone w/ sprinkles, sugar cones with vanilla, strawberry, coconut, pistachio, chocolate, etc. Also, you will find a wide variety of fresh juices to drink such as : passion fruit, orange juice, tamarind, papaya, guava, mango, etc. Get down here whenever your time permits and the service you will find is "fair and square"! Tell them Jay sent you. JE.

Horrible... the media noche was all all ham with little tiny pieces of pork ..the mustard was cheap taste like plastic. The pan con bistec woth no salt and its not lettuce what they used. I will never go there again until the cook/chef is changed .

Yelp
What a classic Miami kind of place. It's just one Cuban lady behind the counter, and it's basically a small building with outdoor only seating embedded in a parking lot. I found the vibe very charming. The ice cream was okay though, especially for the price. I added pecans to my brownie earthquake and it cost a dollar despite getting only a small sprinkle. Add in another dollar surcharge for credit card (this seems excessive) and the price was simply too high for the quality of ingredients used. The brownie, for example, was a highly processed, packaged brownie like they give in school lunches. I would come back and try the food. It's a fun experience because the vibe is so uniquely Miami. Or I would come back for a plain soft-serve. Would not get a specialty ice cream again.

Yelp
This place was my savior after a business conference event at loanDepot Park. Lol It took a 7 minute walk from the front of loanDepot park to Palace Cafe & Dairy. When I got there, there were already lots of people from the conference in line and waiting for their food. I was interested in the Tuna Salad with plantains. I didn't see it on the menu, but I saw a picture of it in one of the pictures at Yelp. It took a while to get to the front of the line because there was only one person working. I felt so incredibly bad for her because she was all by herself, taking orders and making & packing food. One guy who seemed to work for a construction company cussed at her. It was not cool. I understand that his order took a while, but it was just so unkind of him.. The poor woman kept on apologizing. Anyways, when I got to the window and ordered, I showed her the picture I saw on Yelp, and she understood and placed my order. She gave me the waters and ice cream that I ordered right away since it took no time to do so. The main dish I ordered took a while, but when I finally got it, it tasted very good! Also, when I got my order, it looked like someone finally came to help her, so that was good too. If you're looking for a convenient place to eat, try this place out. The food was delicious, healthy, and fresh. The plantains from the tuna salad were still nice and hot when I got my order. The ice cream was well needed because Miami got hot midday. The only reason why I'm giving it an honest 4 stars is because the wait was definitely long. The service was wonderful, and she tried her very best to serve the fastest she could. Also, if you're looking to buy water for cheap, come here. The bottles were $1 each when I was there. Compare that to buying water at loanDepot Park. Hahaha #wateryouwaitingfor

Yelp
This was a late night ice cream visit. Very casual drive up spot that had desserts and food to order from the window. There were seats available to eat. There was a small wait to order as there was only one person working, but she handled it. We ordered ice cream cones with sprinkles and a caramel sundae, simple but yummy! We were glad they were open and there were spots to sit outside and enjoy!

Yelp
What an awesome spot! Moved to the area a little while ago and always passed by this spot to see a line outside here so I had to try it myself! The food is super good and beyond worth the price. The service is fast and easy & they speak both Spanish and English

Yelp
The cutest local spot! We love coming here for ice cream - a hidden gem in the neighborhood and great prices.

Yelp
Small cafe with one of the best colada. Mofongo and carne asada are my favorites. Good service. And is next to the marlins stadium close to my job

Yelp
This is my favorite little Spanish cafe around. When you pull up, it is very unassuming and vintage. Parking is kind of limited, but there is a small lot and street parking. The menu is on the wall when you come to the window. The lady that works the counter speaks great English, which isn't always common in this area. I always get the Palace Combo. It gives you a pan con bistec, fries, and a drink of your choice. They also have ice cream and cuban coffee. If you are looking for a quick, drive up Cuban/Dominican lunch spot, this is going to be your jam. The food is authentic, the locals love it, the prices are right, and the service is wonderful.

Yelp
The first thing that i would like to point out about this location is the customer service. Its soo amazing. My expectations were low becuase restaurants close to the Marlins Staduim tend to have subpar service, but the two ladies that service this area have amazing service with a family touch. The food is also good. In the 6-12$ range. Now this isnt the place that you go if you are on a diet but it's definitely worth it if you are looking for an a unabundance of flavor and feel goodness. My favorite dishes are the cheese stick and fried pork.

Yelp
Looks like a nice family atmosphere no one's answering the phone for takeout orders that's the only problem I can't wait to try the food

Yelp
I love this place! A little gem with really good food. Try the masitas de puerco. The ladies at the counter are as sweet as their ice cream.

Yelp
I've driven by this place hundreds of times and never stopped, but on Friday I was craving a milkshake, so I finally jumped in. I'll start by saying the strawberry milkshake was $3.50. On that note alone, I would return. Milkshakes now are like $6-9 depending on where you go. This was an old fashioned, DELICIOUS milkshake. I didn't try the food, but there were other people there eating and they seemed to be enjoying it, so I'll have to return one day to give it a try. Go try the milkshakes, even if you go for no other reason than the milkshakes, it's worth it. Also, there's free parking on the premises and the milkshakes only come in one size, but for $3.50, I'm not complaining.

Yelp
Perfect snack place after Marlins game to beat traffic. One large Cuban coffee and 2 ice cream sundaes are $9.50. The real Little Havana.

Yelp
This little hole in the wall may look a health inspector's nightmare from the outside, but it makes up for its lack of curbside appeal by serving good, cheap food. The batidos are excellent. They're about 10 ounces in size and are thick, creamy and made with authentic fruit. The food is under $10 per plate and excellent. I've been twice and ordered the beef and the pork, and I can't decide which is better. Suffice to say they're both very good. The protein on the menu is accompanied with rice and fried plantains and will fill you up. If you're in the area looking for a quick bite to eat, Palace Cafe & Dairy will leave you full and satisfied. It's as affordable as fast food, but healthier and tastes good too.

Yelp
I just tried a mamey shake for the first time today and it was delicious! This place is just a block from my apartment and is wonderful for a quick snack. I went today for a shake and tostones. The day was breezy and beautiful, there was the sound of children playing and I had good company. Everything is made to order! The tostones came out perfectly crisp and hot. With some hot sauce they were amazing. Not necessarily good if you want a meal, but the perfect sort of place for a snack! They don't take cash, but everything is very inexpensive.

Yelp
I have been going to this place for the last 13 years and I absolutely love it they have the best chicken wings and fries. you will not regret my kid loves their ice cream and love their food. I recommend to anyone who is willing to eat something good and on a budget.

Yelp
looks scary from the outside, barred up windows, small window countertop and outside benches serves some food and has only 1 or 2 flavors of ice cream but i braved trying a pina batido con helado and it was tasty. little bits of pineapple! the fruta bomba wasn't as good
google avatar

Kaitlyn D.

Yelp
I love this place! It looks scary on the outside because of all the bars on the windows because it's in a bad area, but if you can get past that, it's a really good place to go to. It has food for really really really cheap, and it's super yummy. They don't have many flavors of icecream, but hey for 2.15 for a big cone is not too shabby. Definitely one of my favorite cafeteria's in Little Havana. They don't accept credit cards, so make sure you have cash on you when you go.

Yelp
Very rich and creamy ice cream. I love the Oreo cup and decent prices. A nice lace to stop if you're near the new stadium.
