The Palace of Parliament is an impressive building built by the dictator Ceausescu. It is definitely worth visiting with a guided tour! You can enjoy and admire the rooms you are shown and get a good insight into the history and inspirations behind everything. It is impressive how during those difficult times, such an opulent building could be built. What I truly enjoyed is how everything (except of some few doors and marbles) were completely produced in Romania. Take into account to bring your passport or national ID to get in and enjoy a tour.

Palace of the Parliament is a relic from the days when Romania was under Communist rule. It is a grand building of epic proportions. When one thinks of communist rule, one can perhaps imagine soulless or dreary architecture. However, Palace of the Parliament is impressive both inside and outside. If you're a fan of chandeliers, there are many throughout the building, each one a magnificent work of art. My visit in October 2024 occurred with booking tickets in advance through getyourguide.com. Access into the building requires one to be part of a group, along with your passport (copies of your passport are not accepted). Our guide who worked here told us that he even hadn't seen the whole of the building. He said that during our tour that he estimated our group had only seen about 3% of the building! Yes, it is that big!

Parliament of Romania is probably the main attraction to visit in Bucharest. The level of opulence in the architecture and the furniture is really unbelievable: they used massive amounts of marble, wood, fabric, crystal and precious metals to build the Palace, mainly sourced from Romanian regions. The visit is with a guide, it costs 60 LEI (about 12€) and lasts about 40 minutes, during which you visit 6-7 rooms on a total of 1.100 available :) To book it you have to call by phone the day before. The entrance is on the north side, in front of Izvor Park.

The size and scope of this building is incredible! It's incredibly beautiful and quite astonishing to marvel at the craftsmanship. My only complaint is I wish we got to see more inside and that walking around outside wasn't so tightly controlled, but I completely understand.

Beautiful and historic. Marble and oak throughout. Almost everything was sourced, designed, and built here in Romania. Beautiful nonetheless and should be seen and enjoyed by the peoples. Tours though. Not helpful. Due to exhibitions in the main rooms, I paid 100 RON to see 800m of hallways, and 3 conference rooms, totaling 4% of the building.

Well I can't very review this place because all tickets for that date were already sold out and we could just wait and see if some people don't turn up. So my recommendation is to buy tickets at least 1 day before you plan to visit. However the building looks amazing from the outside, it also has a little fountain. We had at least the experience from inside the lobby which was looking fancy and great. I wish we were more knowledgeable and lucky to see the whole place.

Amazing building and very interesting history. Breathtaking architecture. You can book a visit by calling this number - 0040733558102 - on the day before your visit. This way is cheaper than with other tourist apps or websites (about 12 EUR at the time of writing vs. 20-30 EUR on Viator, TripAdvisor, etc). If you booked your place beforehand, then you can go at the front of the queue. Tours in English and Romanian are available.
