This is a must-have visit when you are in town. There are many local resources used to built this extraordinary building but also the history is quite interesting to hear. Sad to know that the cost is high but the full extent is not used. The tour gives you 7% of the whole building but still enough to see the major ballrooms and conference rooms that are unique for this building. This building offer many one of a kind and world records so highly recommend to see it with your own eyes. We did not do any pre-work, thus we managed to book the time slot on spot, wait 2h and came back. There is a security check (no liquids, can buy after entering) into the building and then ID check once the guided tour starts. There is no possibility to wander around alone. I actually had a positive experience, especially thanks to the guide (man, under 30ties, laid back, sarcastic humour and attentive). Unfortunately cannot remember the name of the guide but highly recommend him. For fellow pregnant ladies, we did total over 100 stairs which was not bad at all. Buy water and bring it with you of visiting on a hot summer day.

The official tour, booked inside for 60 lei/person, was straightforward enough. We showed up at 12:15 on a Monday and were able to join the 13:45 tour. But the guide. Oh my god, the guide. I don't know if the "skip the line" tour agencies provide their own guides or not, but the one we had today knew very little about this building. Some of the things he did share with us, however, include the following: - This painting has lots of blue because the artist's favorite color was blue. - There are 34 columns. Half are on the left side. Half are on the right side. - As you can see we are now on the first floor. Earlier we were on the ground floor. It is higher than the ground floor. Above it is the third floor. The entire tour was like this - obvious and basic info only. And some things, like his answers to our questions, were flat-out wrong (we fact-checked after). It was hilarious but not for the right reasons. Maybe he was filling in for the full-time guide? Anyway, impressive building with a fascinating history. I just hope you get a tour guide who knows that history.

Gorgeous building, definitely take a tour here! Just remember your passports. The tour guide we had was endearing and nice to listen to. Also just being there makes you feel rich when you’re not. So much gold 💸!

Came here around 1530 on a Thursday. Had no prior reservation but it was easy to just get 2 tickets to the next tour which was at 1600. Also something to note, there is security check in the entrance and you cannot bring any liquids, water bottles, etc into the building and I think many people were affected by that. Originally the tour is 8 rooms but unfortunately our tour was only 5 rooms due to events being in the other rooms. The tour lasted about 50 minutes and definitely interesting to see this vast grandiose building.

The building is worth to visit, but visiting part is not so easy. The website never works where you "can buy' a ticket. And only agencies offer you skip the line ticket. In fact, there is no line to skip. The tip from us: we managed to call at the morning, and even in nice English we were attended. The reservation was made for the same day. And when you come , it is from the right side, along the parking you go upstairs, and in the middle of the building there us an entrance with a small plate saying for visitors. If not the previous evening walk there , when we took the picture of small information at the gate ( that information is at the left side) nothing will happen. I post the picture with the number of the phone. So overall when you are there, it is simple. You need to have a valid original ID, and you pay there (could be by card). The tour was in English, with nice guide, very interesting historical facts and interesting room tours.

Booked our tickets through booking.com. Directions texted the day before. It took about 15 minutes to get through security. Tour was in English and very informative. The building is used for lots of conferences so not all rooms are available to see. But as it’s huge you have plenty to see. It was sad to hear what was demolished just to build this opulent place but it is very beautiful.

The mandatory sign of what communism and autocracy result in. It's great that more clever people can analyze the history (the building was finished only 40 years ago), check results and make better choice in the future. Pointless building built in a rather small country, removing number of building and relocating dozens of thousands of people. Any left-wing fairy-tale about equilaty ends up like that.

What a beautiful place but nasty history. Please remember to have original passport to enter the building. There are guided tours in different languages. You will definitely love gigantic construction and minute details in tiling, carpets and radiators. As from Taj Mahal to Palace of Parliament, sad to hear about tyrant rulers and their behaviour towards workers. Pay tribute to workers also who made this magnificent building.
