30 Best Restaurants in Lisbon for Crispy Suckling Pig, Pastel de Natas, and Bifana Sandwiches | Condé Nast Traveler

"More immersive theater than dinner alone, this 18th-century palace stages a living performance around your meal—performers parade, crawl, or yell as you eat—and somehow the food still shines. Begin with burrata and pumpkin with crispy sage, then move to lamb loin with pistachio paloise and goose fat potatoes, before roaming the other rooms: a tiny discotheque, a bar pouring cocktails for Lisbon’s coolest. It’s a place to linger, not rush—unlike anything else in the city." - Abigail Malbon

Our dinner was such a unique experience. It felt like having dinner inside a live piece of art, with scenes, music and characters appearing throughout the evening. It’s unusual in the best way, a mix of theatre and dinner that keeps you curious the whole time. A big thank you to Jucara, who really made the night special. She was so friendly, welcoming and helpful, and she explained the menu and made great recommendations. She made us feel completely looked after. If you want a dinner in Lisbon that’s different from anything else, Palacio do Grilo is definitely worth it.

We had such a wonderful evening! The food was delicious. The performance added a fantastic atmosphere to the night — a special thank you for the playlist! A special mention to our waiter, Stephanie, who was truly outstanding — friendly, attentive, and made us feel genuinely welcome. Overall, an amazing experience — great food, great entertainment, and excellent service. We’ll definitely be coming back!

The whole atmosphere and location are undoubtedly special and beautiful. The food was tasty but pricy. I would recommend trying scallops and banoffee, those are really good. The service is very bad for a restaurant of such a level. The waitress doesn’t know a thing about their wine menu and recommended us the most expensive wine, even though she couldn't describe the taste of it at all. The point was to sell the bottle for 100 euros, nothing else. We of course picked another wine of our choice. Also, while other guests had a bottle of water on their table we were the only ones who didn't. I might consider going out again but without any expectations for the service.

A wonderful classy evening, set in the grounds of a beautiful I guess “Palace” we were treated to an exquisite meal, with wonderful service which also included an interesting performance around your table. The food & wine was top tier, the clientele was mixed with some local Portugueses as well as tourists, dress code was generally casual but some dressed. I honestly cannot wait to come back, I highly recommend visiting. Special mention to Ju our waitress who made sure we were always well looked after.

Had the most amazing food! We came at 8pm and therefore didn’t see that much of the performance, so I would recommend coming at 7pm to enjoy the performance once you’ve fully eaten. Would be back! Thanks to our server Ju she was soo helpful.

This was the most epic, surprising, fun, beautifull and fine wining/dining/performances experience ever for me and my son. The best surreal ending of our stay at Lisboa!! Everything collides together: the beautifull palace with serene garden where you could stroll around, seeing bizar art and styling in each abanded room with great music that adds to the vibes of curiosity and excitement and even a bit nervousity because you dont know what to expect. The staff welcomes you and is super enthousiastic and the food is delicious and weird (burratta mousse for eaxample..its a mindfuck every time but tastes divine!). And then the artists that perform between courses or while you eat…it all adds to a wonderfull experience for all your senses and goes on for hours! We thoroughly enjoyed it and were so pleased we found out about this hidden gem!! Unfortunately we heard there would be a dance there the next day when we would travel back home so for sure we will return to this place to also experience the dance after dinner at this great location!!

I was drawn to the 350 year old palace that is still intact- the palace and grounds are a feast for the eyes . All of the servers were friendly w smiles and attentive. A welcome glass of prosecco was lovely to stroll the space and take some excellent photos. The shiitake mushroom starter was lick the plate delicious-the saucier knows their craft! The beet carpaccio with goat cheese was well thought out and tasty. Whipped burrata was divine. The duck was cooked perfectly w shaved carrots and whipped potatoes & were seasoned on point. The banofee was ok & cardamom sorbet was unique. Come with an open mind for the theater/dance performance. We enjoyed the show it made the experience exactly what we wanted eclectic & modern!

Amazing service from the staff, with Stephanie, who gave us a great experience!! The food was very exquisite ( vegan talking here).. the performance from the artists, gave more meaning of a break between the different courses. An immersive and memorable experience
