"A simple, almost rustic restaurant in the pedestrianised historic centre of one of the medieval villages that add to the special attraction of the Parco delle Madonie. Here, the owner prepares seasonal cuisine which is firmly anchored in the region, made from ingredients from the surrounding area. The antipasto is always good, and is served as a selection of five or six small bites made from vegetables, cheese and meat, as well as mushrooms. The home-made bread is excellent – the natural leavening process takes almost four days. A good wine selection completes the picture." - Michelin Inspector

This is truly the best restaurant in Castelbuono! The food was absolutely delicious, beautifully presented, and full of authentic flavors. The service was outstanding — our waiter Andrea was incredibly attentive, friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed. Even the chef, Fabrizio, came out to explain the dishes personally, which made the experience even more special. Thank you Sandro 😇!!

We had a wonderful night dining here. The restaurant was absolutely full on the Saturday night and Sunday lunch but we had it to ourselves on Sunday dinner (we had a reservation). We are travelling and don’t really speak / understand much Italian. The waiter gave us the wifi password so we could use Google translate. He explained each dish in detail in his best English, asked us about our travels, told us about Castelbuono and introduced us to local olive oil. We had the best night and best dinner of our 3 weeks in Sicily. We really enjoyed having a local to talk with who was clearly excited to show off the restaurant, food and town. When travelling as a couple for months at a time, sometimes you do want someone else’s voice in the conversation (I’m sure if we wanted privacy, we would have got that too). As for the food - it was AMAZING!!!

Great food. We started with appetizers. For the 1st - pastas with porcini and pasta with zucchini. For the main courses - veal steak, pork tenderloin and veal chick. Combined with a bottle of local red vine it was great and very testy. Need a small improve in speed of service.

Truly amazing experience. Local cuisine with carefully selected ingredients. Traditional but with surprising textures and details. Attention to detail is everywhere: they produce their own bread, source the water locally, the local mushrooms are incredible... The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable, he presented the product and how every dish was cooked. A must visit if you are in the area, even if it means a detour!

Excellent dishes with good quality food, very nice bread with local olive oil. Service could be improved with extra staff. We waited over an hour for the meat to arrive but it was very nice at the end. Definitely looking forward to come back !

Lovely meal here with local ingredients (even the sparklingly water was from the next town up the way - Acqua Geraci) and fantastic wine. The highlight for us was the mushroom carpaccio with fresh, local mushrooms, served raw with a small bit of salt and olive oil. We also loved sampling all of the types of local cheese in the appetizers. All of our pastas and the braised pork were also incredible. Amazing unique flavors, subtle and fresh.

Yelp
Creative restaurant with excellent service and a humble, lowkey vibe. We enjoyed every dish we ordered, and regularly were pleasantly surprised by the execution. In particular, the antipasti medley was a knockout and not to be skipped!
