"This carryout square pizza spot in Royal Oak was co-founded by the late World Champion pizza maker and Detroit Style Pizza Company operator Shawn Randazzo, who passed away in 2020 after a battle with cancer. Some say Randazzo helped spark the current Detroit-style pizza craze at U.S. restaurants by presenting the style on a national stage. The menu features a blend of traditional brick cheese and mozzarella with dollops of red sauce on top and fresh grated Parmesan. Toppings range from spicy peppers and sausage to chicken carbonara pizza, complete with bacon and alfredo sauce. A large pizza here comes in the form of two small pizzas for a total of eight crispy corners." - Serena Maria Daniels

Visiting from out of town and landed on this spot via Barstool pizza reviews and very glad I did. Fantastic Detroit style pizza. Online ordering was seamless and they are take out only. I did 4 cut buffalo chicken and 4 cut pepperoni- both were outstanding. A must visit here.

One of the best Detroit Style Pizza in Michigan. It's a carry out only joint as of June 2024. Sauce is phenomenal, cheese has a beautiful pull and the crust crisp!

As a Royal Oak local, I must rave about the incredible pizza we indulged in! A large satisfied three adults, and the antipasto salad, bursting with toppings, was a delightful addition. I particularly appreciated that the salad was freshly made onsite, rather than being a prepackaged store-bought option.

Been going here once a month for the past year now and honestly, I loved the pizza and cheese bread. As it stands, The taste is still great. However the last two times I've gone here(5/17 being the second time), I've gotten more bread than toppings and it's just too noticeable now. I loved eating the Cheese bread here as soon as I got home because of how Cheesy it was, but now because of the EXTREMELY thin layer of cheese on it, it's like I'm overpaying for generic "cheese" bread from a chain restaurant. I didn't expect it, especially since from the top side, it looks fine. The pizza is what threw me off the most this time. Maybe my luck was just terrible on getting pizza these last two times, not sure. I 100% understand that inflation is happening, but you should have increased the prices by 10% or so instead of doing this injustice. I'll refrain from going here for a few months and when I try it again, if it's changed, I'll be sure to update this review.

If you're on the hunt for the ultimate pizza experience, look no further than this phenomenal Detroit-style pizza spot. Recently crowned #6 on the list of 50 Best Pizza Slices in the USA for 2024, this place is every pizza lover's dream. The crust is nothing short of perfection—thick enough to provide that satisfying bite yet impossibly light and airy. Its crispy, buttery edges are a golden masterpiece, delivering a delightful crunch that melts into a savory, rich finish. And let’s talk about the balance—oh, the balance! The sauce, with its bold and tangy flavor, is layered masterfully with just the right amount of an Italian cheese blend. Each topping feels like it was curated by a pizza artisan, blending flavors that complement each other in every bite - the double pepperoni is a true culinary masterpiece. Whether you're a Detroit-style devotee or new to this square-shaped sensation, this place redefines what pizza can be. One slice in, and you’ll understand why it’s earned its place as one of the best in the country. Don’t walk—run to get your hands on a slice of pure pizza bliss!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Top 3 Best Pizza I have reviewed. I had the double pepperoni with Mike's hot honey. It's Detroit style at its best: looks heavy, yet it's surprisingly light and crispy. The combination of rich toppings and a touch of sweetness from the honey sets it apart. Having tried many pizza spots, this one is definitely at the top of my list. Highly recommend!

Why did I wait so long to try this pizzeria? Don’t be like me. If you’re reading through reviews and contemplating ordering from here for the first time…just do it! We’re in Detroit, so there are many options for Detroit-style pizza. But this place offers some of the best in style (if not the best). Great crust game, ridiculously flavorful sauce. Cheese and toppings were all fresh (minced garlic is a game changer). Top tier pizza experience. And don’t get me started on the cheese bread….that stuff was so good, I’d return just based off how great it was alone.
