We stayed in a Butera28 apartment recently. Our overall experience was excellent. Lorenzo, in the office, was very helpful and knowledgeable about Palermo. The apartment was clean and spacious. When staying a week or longer mid-week service is offered. If you have time, try the “A Day Cooking With The Duchess “ experience. We did and had an awesome time with Duchess Nicoletta. I will gladly repeat it on a return to Palermo!

The apartments are wonderful and the palace is a truly unique place. I stayed with my mum in one of the small apartments in July 2025, it had all the essentials and was tastefully decorated, with beautiful blue tiles and a view of the sea. The location is perfect, right in the heart of la Kalsa and a few minutes walk from Piazza Marina, one of the most beautiful squares in Palermo.

We loved the cooking class! We stayed in a spot perfect for my wife, two kids and me. Good location — near things but quiet. Unique, and it connects you with the aristocratic history of Sicily. While you’re there, stream the original Gattopardo and Sicily starts to open up to you.

My wife and I took the class this year and thoroughly enjoyed it. I do most of our cooking at home, but my wife also learned a lot from the class, especially because it was hands on. Loved the lunch that followed as well.

We stayed here in an apartment with our family of 6 adults. Perfect location. Beautiful accommodations. Easy checkin and checkout and the parking was perfect. We loved it thank you!!!

We absolutely loved our time staying at Butera 29 Apartments. The apartment was very spacious, beautifully decorated, and peaceful. It is such a nice oasis in the city. Loved many wonderful outdoor restaurants nearby, especially across from the Giardino Garibaldi. I'd love to stay here again someday.

Our stay was nothing short of magical. The residence was immaculate and had everything we needed, and located within an easy walk of all Palermo has to offer. The Dutchess was an absolute delight, as was her staff who went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and comfortable, including providing some critical assistance in the face of a dental emergency!!! If you are coming to Palermo, stay here!!!!

My wife and I stayed in one of the smaller apartments for a couple of nights and had a great time. Nicoletta and her staff are excellent. We arrived a bit discombobulated after a hectic day of travel and after calling for some help checking in, Nicoletta and her staff made ensured we were accommodated even though they were tending to a cooking class. We appreciated their hospitality, and they made themselves available to us throughout our stay. Potential guests should note it is not a typical hotel or b&b, but can think of it like a complex of apartment rentals with on-site support. The location is ideal for getting to know the city and a supermarket is just a few minutes' walk away. We did not have time for a cooking class or palace tour, but guests interested in the site's history should consider signing up. There is a variety of rooms available for different needs, and if you're paying attention to what you sign up for, you'll certainly enjoy your stay.
