Palazzo Petrucci Pizzeria

"Situated right in the city centre, this pizzeria with the same name and owners as the gourmet restaurant has a contemporary, minimalist feel, plus an attractive outdoor space on the piazza. Among the excellent pizzas made from top-quality ingredients, you’ll find a few created by the young, skilful pizza chef, as well as one by chef Scarallo. Don’t miss the desserts!" - Michelin Inspector

This was our last stop on the Neapol trip and while it was quite interesting it might've been not what we expected in both good and not so good ways. First of all the overall look, when we got the pizzas we noticed that the edges were kinda flat which made us think, is it really Neapolitan? However what matters is taste right? So we dug in and discovered a mix of feelings, Diavola is not a traditional one but that's ok, we were even warned about that when ordering which was a plus. Here it's a mix of sweet and spicy and it actually does a really good job, definitely recommended to try. On the other hand the margherita was a bit bland, it was good, just not something that would make you say wow, which might have been due to the crust. In the end I would say come and try pizza here, but remember don't take the traditional ones.

Amazing pizza and service! The pizza dough was super light! We didn’t feel “stuffed” after eating it even though the portions are quite big. Service was super friendly and caring!

Amazing value pizza with incredible views on the terrazza. The waiter recommended a crushed basil cocktail which was also fantastic 👌🏼

Nice view from the terrace. Food was good but nothing phenomenal. We had a bottle of sparking rose which was also good not great, especially considering the price. Hard to get the attention of waiters. Bathrooms had broken locks.

We had a great experience here with very good pizza, great cocktails, excellent wine, and since we ate on the lovely rooftop, amazing views. We were a group of 7 adults and an infant, and the waiter did a great job keeping the little one happy and entertained and even dialed up “Pipa Pig” on his personal cell phone to keep him occupied! Overall, a great place. Get there before they open and Que up so you get a table right at 7pm (on the weekends). VictorB

Google
the service was good, the pizza too. the place is pretty cool to sit outside, the only 👎🏼 is for people smoking while eating, but that is cultural, nothing that the owners can do about it. the diavola was very interesting (jam on it!? first time here), the other pizza is the famous one, I also recommend it!

The pappurduchi or whatever it was called is hands down the best pizza I have had in Italy. I love a marg, but this pizza is on another level to the marg. Pork sausage capers cheese one.

Yelp
When you make your reservation ask to sit on the rooftop. It's such a beautiful view. The pizza is so good. I highly suggest the Diavolo. The staff are friendly and it's a good spot for people watching.

Yelp
My wife and I took a private all-day tour of Pompeii and the Naples Archaeological Museum. (That's a combo I HIGHLY recommend, by the way: we got to experience Pompeii, followed by seeing countless statues, artworks, furniture and utensils from Pompeii that are now in the museum for protection.) Mid-day our guide took us to the delightful Palazzo Petrucci for lunch. This was a perfect lunch stop: absolutely delicious, but also very welcoming and casual. We had several unique appetizers to try which were a great intro to the pizzas to come. We ordered several small pizzas, a couple of which were our "safe" familiar choices (and yes, they were perfect). Our guide instructed us to try the anchovy and lemon pizza, and us pizza-proud Chicagoans were pretty leary ... but I'm sure glad we did: it was yummy! The only big problem: where can we ever find that again here at home!

Yelp
We took a private pizza-making class at Palazzo Petrucci Pizzeria, which was a dream come true. We relished the opportunity to learn how to make an authentic Italian pizza in Naples, the birthplace of pizza. We received one-on-one, hands-on experience from maestro pizzaiolo Davide, a remarkable man and teacher. He was very patient with us and explained everything about pizza-making, including what separates authentic Napoli pizza from the rest, how to make and fashion the dough, the proper ingredients to use and the perfect way to cook your creation. At the end, we were able to eat what we had made, which was actually pretty tasty even if not as much so as the sample Margherita pizza Davide made for us. As we ate, the wonderful Carlo taught us about different tomatoes, cheeses and wines - allowing us to sample each. It was a once-in-a-lifetime experience for us and one I'd highly recommend.

Yelp
Service is below average and the quality of the food is not special. There are better places to eat

Yelp
Very disappointing. You except more from 1 Michelin star. We ate a red mullet. Terrible taste, like the fish came from contaminated water source

Yelp
The view from the terrace is amazing. I had a pizza with tomatoes, anchovies, olives and capres, and it tasted so good, so fresh ! This place is not the cheapest, but it not too expensive and the food is good, the service is nice and friendly. The server spoke italian, french and english! I would definitely come back.

Yelp
While in Naples, my boyfriend and I wanted one night where we "splurged" in a decadent meal to kick-off our Italian vacation. After reading countless sites, articles, and reviews, I was convinced Palazzo Petrucci was the spot. While the view of the beach lives up to its name, little else does. We both did the tasting menu, and enjoyed the food, but weren't "wowed" by anything--okay, maybe the complimentary raspberry 'bomb' lollipop for dessert. The wait staff was a little pushy, and deceiving in what they "offered" to us and then later charged us at a surprising price. The meal ended up being the most expensive of our entire trip, and I shudder to think where else we could have spent our money. SKIP!
