How to Plan the Perfect Trip to Naples, Italy

"“This fine dining restaurant and pizzeria is unique in Naples, offering the rare opportunity to enjoy a meal with direct access to the beach,” Fiorentino explains; five- or six-course tasting menus showcase local ingredients and recipes like fish soup and pastiera (an orange blossom-scented ricotta pie)." - Laura Itzkowitz Laura Itzkowitz Laura Itzkowitz is a writer and editor based in Rome. Palazzo Petrucci

"The entrance from the street does little to prepare you for the surprise that awaits once you’ve taken the lift down to this restaurant, where the dining room looks out at the beach and guests dine with the sound of the waves as a romantic backdrop. In a modern and minimalist setting, chef Lino Scarallo offers a choice of tasting menus, include a surprise option on which he has carte blanche, and others based on signature dishes that include raw fish options and meat specialities." - Michelin Inspector

What a wonderful evening celebrating a birthday at this excellent venue. Especially the mindful, considerate service stood out and we felt welcomed from the moment we stepped in. The food was great, although on the rather salty side. Pricewise on the expensive side, but worth every euro. Would come back and recommend.

The pizzas were absolutely incredible ❤️ We drove all the way from Sorrento just to try them, following a friend’s recommendation and it was 100% worth it. The drinks were fantastic, the sunset view was breathtaking, and the staff couldn’t have been more welcoming and attentive. A truly special place for a relaxing evening with great food, wine, and atmosphere 🥂✨

Extremely disappointing experience with this restaurant. Their attitude was petulant, arrogant, and completely unprofessional. Despite presenting ourselves respectfully as content creators with proven engagement and international collaborations in over 20 countries, we were met with dismissive and condescending responses. A fine dining restaurant should value professionalism and respect above all, and unfortunately, Palazzo Petrucci showed the exact opposite. Definitely not a place I would recommend for those who expect proper hospitality and serious treatment.

Wow!!! Not only is everyone so very friendly here the food is AMAZING. I could not tell you exactly what we had but everything was unique, flavorful and beautiful. I chose a 5 course blind dinner where the chef picks everything for you and that did not disappoint. My husband had the 5 course land meal. We had lots of deserts at the end. Oh I cant forget the small dishes they bring to you while you wait upstate for your table. This is an experience so be prepared to be here 2.5 hours. This ranged about €240 . I would definitely be back. The views are beautiful & everyone is so kind. Thank you. Oh and they had some very delicious non alcoholic wine for me since I do not drink anymore ❤❤❤❤

Friendly service, cool good quality dishes, beautiful view. We had fun long lunch. Thank you. Amazing if you are gluten allergic or lactose intolerant, they really do pay attention to it.

Class is oozing from this place. It has earned its Michelin star through and through. You get treated as a VIP from the moment you enter, there's a huge wine list, but don't sleep on the cocktails either. I had the Sour Italy cocktail and it was one of the best I've ever had. We went with the chef's choice, five courses tasting menu. I enjoyed them all to varying degrees, the best by far was the one featuring a piglet in it, some of the softest, loveliest meat I've ever tasted in my life, I could have eaten it for all five courses. The desserts were not great, but I'm not a big desserts guy either, so it didn't bother me too much. Yes, it's expensive, but you're paying for the experience. If you like Michelin star experiences, this one will treat you right.

I was expecting little after some unprofessional booking hiccup, but they made up for it. You are first welcome in a lounge with large open windows, where you can enjoy an aperitif drink and some amuse-bouche with a view on the Vesuvio. Then they'll take you downstairs, where the dinner will get served with the same view on the Vesuvio. You can select from pre-composed menus or let yourself be surprised by the chef (either 5 or 7 servings). I chose the latter and I wasn't disappointed with the sea food items, which I particularly recommend here. The deserts were wonderful. The rest was not mind-blowing but up to the standards. The service is nice and considerate, ready to help, to call a taxi for you or to provide you with the name of their playlist (contributing to their amazing atmosphere). The staff is always a bit "impatient" as it is customary in Napoli: you feel like you have to do things their way, but not to the point where it can ruin the evening.

I reserved a table for a very special occasion. The restaurant responded promptly and professionally to my inquiries, demonstrating their reliability. The service was excellent. The views were unforgettable — many thanks to this restaurant for making the experience so special.

Yelp
It was an intimate business dinner and the chef prepared his signature dishes in a restaurant that had beautiful views and an overall elegant decor. After some good appetizers, we had his version of spaghetti made with squid: This was unique and tasty. The pasta was cooked with an octopus bolognese ; I could not discern clearly the seafood as it was slightly overpowered by the tomato sauce and my fish was very moist and perfectly cooked. But I did notice that on some of the other plates, the fish was a tad undercooked : can't have that in a one star Michelin restaurant ! The desert was a little bit on the heavy side and we were stuffed by the the time we got to it. In all, a nice dinner in an elegant environment but I would not come back as there are many other options in Naples.

Yelp
Perfect pizza. Delicious. Mouth watering. Big variety of pizzas. Located in the heart of Naples via sant'apostoli. Lively service.

Yelp
Had an outstanding meal at this classy restaurant. I was with a group so the menu was pri-fix menu. We started on the rooftop overlooking the bay and had sparkling prosecco with passed hors d'hourves which were delicious. The backdrop was phenomenal. The meal was on their lowest floor and it had a very elegant setting. The food was a modern take on Italian cuisine. There were at least 5 courses and countless glasses of wine. The service was top notch as well, subtle yet highly engaged and paid attention to detail. I have no idea what the price was since it was included in the package, but I would highly recommend going.

Yelp
Omg omg omg. Just amazing. At first we were worried cause we were the only ones there at 8pm. Waiter said Naples eats late unlike americans. We did 5 Course tasting menu but we ended up with 10 courses (lots of a amousès bouches sp ). The raw shrimp and mozzarella was amazing as was the potato soup with caviar and squid. Absolutely loved the octopus dish. Local wines made me want to re think my cellar. Location on the beach in Naples was beautiful. If this restaurant were in Washington D.C., you'd be waiting months for a reservation. Service was impeccable.

Yelp
OUTSTANDING We had lunch here in April and it was a fabulous experience from start to finish. And the view was exquisite; this place is right on the sandy beach. We opted for the Tasting Menu (80 Euros) and were very pleased. Of the Amuse Bouches and 5 courses my favorite were the appetizer of Marinated Red Mullet, the Soup of Roasted Potato, Onion, Squid & Mujjol, and the dessert of Chocolate Mousse highlighted with Nut Sponge and a Chocolate Ball filled with Coconut Milk. Very cool and truly amazing. This was the first restaurant in Naples to receive a Michelin star. It is a special place.

Yelp
Do not bother with this restaurant - my main dish was not edible. I ordered a pasta dish with fish. The dish had three pieces of fish the size of a pencil eraser - did not eat it - bill was over $200 American - the staff were attentive and nice but the food was not worth the time. There are better places to eat. The view is good - right on the water.

Yelp
We went to palazzo for dinner a few days ago. A party of 10. The place has a great view, and the service is very good. They recommended some wine to pair the food with and catered almost every need. We had the tasting menu di mare they had two options then The reasons I am giving a lower qualification are: 1) one of the dishes came with a large piece of plastic in it. Something I find inadmissible on a Michelin rated restaurant. 2) the menu was not very good itself, although some dishes were very good others caressed in flavor and creativity. An example of this is the snapper (one of the main dishes) which was flavorless and chewy. Also came in different cooking levels for all people. In my case it was decently cooked, for my wife it was almost impossible to cut due to the degree of rawness. When we asked the metre to cook it a bit more he explained that it was the desire of the chef to have it slightly undercooked, and if this is the case for most of the other people's dish then they all would have been over cooked. An answer not acceptable for a place of this rating If you want to go to q place of this level of reputation on your next trip to Nápoles I suggest you choose a different one for the price. I found some trattorias in Naples with better flavor and more care for their dishes.
