Palenque Restaurante

I went to Palenque with my family today, 2 young kids and my two in laws who are a bit older. Please note that my Chinese in laws aren’t the most adventurous when it comes to food, but we all loved the food! We ordered a Mole Poblano, Al Pastor, Beef Tongue and Fish tacos, and a Guacamole. Portion sizes were great, all the meats and ingredients were cooked impeccably and authentically. I particularly loved the Mole, the sauce was rich and flavourful, and its consistency was smooth and creamy like the best out there. Will definitely love to come back again some day! Highly recommended.

We devoured takeout from Palenque for Mother's Day. We shared their freshly-made tortilla chips with guacamole plus corn on a stick. Our family sampled chicken and beef tacos plus mole for our main courses. Everything tasted fresh and delicious. The prices are reasonable for the generous portions. We also appreciate that they have vegan and vegetarian meal options. Come prepared since it's a cash-only business. Drinks are BYOB but they have soda and coffee. This is a great option if you're looking for late night dinner or snacks, because they are open daily until midnight.

I came to Palenque Restaurante impressed by their review score. I could not be more satisfied with my decision. Their carne asada tacos tasted excellent! My waitress Annie was so pleasant to interact with! I will be returning.

I went here twice and really enjoyed my experience. The food was all incredible, except the Tres Leches, which shocked me. The Brisket in the Birria was very tender and flavorful, the chicken in the Nachos I got was juicy and flavorful. Everything was fresh except for the Tres Leches. The service is phenomenal! The restaurant is very comfortable, welcoming, and kept very clean. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND CHECKING THIS PLACE OUT! I just don't recommend the Tres Leches.

I was picking up an order to deliver to one of their customers and they actually refused to let me use their PUBLIC bathroom saying that I had to buy something. Im literally supporting their delivery business and they treated me like some transient off of the street.

Beautiful place, it has murals that represent Mexican culture and well-distributed spaces. All portions are big, by the end we were stuffed with delicious food. They have fresh waters and typical Mexican desserts as well. Without a doubt, the star dish is the mole, which is made from scratch by the chef of the place. There is a wide variety of food options with the authentic Mexican flavor. Everything is very well presented. The service was impeccable, fast and informative.

Consistently absolutely delicious with generous portion sizes and great service. Chips with beans and salsas comes with any meal order! The best on 9th Street.

We came here for Mother’s Day and it was such a nice time and a great dinner! Mauricio, is a wonderful, hardworking server. We were given complimentary nachos and they were delicious! All of our food was so very good. I have to go back for the shrimp, the sauce was amazing. My family enjoyed the ceviche and my steak and ravioli special was so very tasty. I have to mention the churros, which were served hot, were one of the best I have had. They were delicious! My sincerest “thank you” to Mauricio and his family, dinner was so very good! It was my birthday and I chose this restaurant for dinner. My family know that one of my favorite foods is Mexican food. What a great choice I made. From when we walked into the restaurant until we left, it was perfect for me. Not super fancy, very at home, comfortable feel. Mauricio, our server, was very friendly and accommodating. We started with the quacamole trio, which was so very fresh and delicious with freshly made tortilla chips. My daughter had the chicken tinga tostados, my son had the steak huarache, my husband had a steak dinner and I had the quesa birria tacos. We also ordered a salad. The food was delicious! I was also given a piece of complimentary birthday cake. It really was a perfect dinner. Thank you, Mauricio, and your family for a wonderful dinner. We will be back, your food is so very good.
