I keep coming back here and I won’t stop. I LOVE this space. They are generous with the gummy bears I requested (more underneath) and have so many delicious flavors and ways to combine fun toppings. I don’t have much else to say about it but I love this paleta ice cream place and I hope people can check it out & enjoy.

Google
I've seen it online a few times. I actually went to the gallery next door to see an artist I know present some of their work. I saw that it's on the corner and walked in to try it. I LOVE paletas, especially the fruit ones. I get limon or fresa typically from the stores or the paletero. I love that Paleta Planet has fusion flavors. I tried Mango-Fresa and Mango-Piña both with taking and chamoy. It was so juicy, salty and slightly spicy 🔥. I will stop by every time. I will say that I did not have the sweet flavors and two friends of mine did and they said they were good but not amazing. I will have to try them for myself. I would highly recommend it because you can customize it to your liking.

Google
Cool little spot in downtown San Jose. Freshly made ice creams and Popsicles. Fun and exciting flavors that you wouldn’t typically expect along with some longtime favorites. I ordered the Oreo Café popsicle and my son got the watermelon popsicle. Both were extra delicious. I had my popsicle dipped in chocolate. The place was clean, the service was friendly, plenty of tables and chairs to sit and enjoy, along with a front row view of fourth Street and Santa Clara in downtown San Jose.

Google
I stopped by this Ice Cream shop on Saturday. It was hot and needed a cool treat. They have unique flavors here. I got a double scoop. IT WAS DELICIOUS! The staff were friendly and welcoming. Thanks for the great experience!

Google
Absolutely delicious! I love the vibes in there and I got an elite cup and watermelon chamoy paleta. Definitely recommend those and their chocobanana and cookie monster ice cream flavors!

Google
Do not sleep on this place! They've got something good going on here... So far I've tried the leche paletas - oreo, birthday cake, and cookie monster and their elote - um, wow. Quality classics with a unique style

Google
I love it SO much please come here and enjoy. They have a great ambiance, and delicious helados y paletas. I love it I love it I love it. Having a tough time but the paleta cheered me up and I hope to visit very frequently!!!

Google
Amazing selection of fresh popsicles and ice cream. Popsicles are a mix of unique offerings coupled with Mexican style popsicle flavors (ex. fresca con crema). A bit on the spendy side but I love the flavors and it helps me limit how much I get to not over eat. Happy to support a new local business.

Yelp
My second time back and I had the Mango Melon paleta without toppings. It was so fresh that it tasted like I was biting into the fruit. My kid had a mix of the Mazapan ice cream and fresa sorbet. He had never had Mazapan (the candy) but my husband said it tasted just like it while being smooth and creamy. The service was super friendly and we even had a nice conversation about my pitch for vegan Horchata options. On a Friday afternoon, they had a steady stream of customers but plenty of seating inside with music playing.

Yelp
This review is more of a 3.5 stars. Been wanting to try this place since I had heard of it and finally tried it randomly walking around Downtown after strolling through Christmas in the Park. Came here with the kids and my boyfriend. We got the strawberry kiwi, the limon, the strawberry jicama, and I am not sure what it was called but it was a De La Rosa flavored one. All were really good. Loved how whatever the favor it was strong enough to really enjoy that flavor. Though as a personal preference/opinion they should stick to in season fruit. Strawberries are not in season right now so the flavor was a bit bland and the secondary flavor was definitely the clutch. But kudos to using puree of the actual fruits. Came in a cute box to hold the popsicle in. We did not try the ice cream, we just beelined to the popsicles. Semi strange set up, because the popsicles are not instantly visible upon entering you just kind of have to go all the way inside and go directly to their side display to see the options for popsicles. Located in Downtown. Options for street and/or garage parking. I did not see their pricing as the boyfriend paid. I think definitely worth the try if in the area. I would not mind coming back to sample their ice cream selections, but since I am not from the area I am not going to make a special trip to do so.

Yelp
Came in on a random Sunday evening , I ordered the Ube horchata in a cup. In my opinion if something is labeled as Ube I expect to have a decent flavoring of Ube but in this case the horchata overpowered the entire thing, granted I should have known since the color of the Ube swirls were pretty light, had they added a bit more or topped it off with an Ube syrup then it would've been great!!! But just based on that ice cream alone I give it a 3.5 . The establishment though is pretty spacious and the workers are great.

Yelp
Do yourself a favor...go to Campus Burgers and get yourself some well done fries. Then, go to Paleta Planeta and grab yourself a Cookie Monster milkshake. Take some of those fries, dip them into the Cookie Monster milkshake and enjoy the best thing EVER!! Lol Paleta Planeta has a huge selection of scooped ice cream and paletas. The paleta case is like a flavor rainbow! The staff is attentive and super fast! They definitely work as a team. The inside looks awesome with plenty of spots to get those selfies with your out of this world paleta!

Yelp
Was in the mood for ice cream and stumbled upon this place as I was biking around the city, so I decided to pop in and get a scoop. The service was alright, and they let me try samples of both the honey lavender and another flavor that I don't fully recall but remembered was good. It's somewhat rare to find honey lavender so it was a nice surprise, and a lot of the other flavors looked good as well. I also liked the ambiance of the place, which gives it a family friendly space vibe that matches with its name. There weren't that many people that were there due to the time that I had gone in, but there is also a decent amount of seating which would probably make this place good for studying if there was working wifi (there might be but I haven't checked). Overall, it was a nice experience and I would be willing to return to try out the other flavors.

Yelp
My first time trying this place was during a craft festival and they already had so many flavors sold out then. I'm so glad they opened up a shop so that I can try the other flavors. They have water or cream based paletas with different flavors. We had the watermelon strawberry with adding toppings of tajin and chamoy and Cookie Monster with added toppings of Oreo crumbs and condensed milk. The Mexican street corn was different from any of the ones I've had. The hot sauce they used on top left kick in the mouth but was great overall. It was less than 5 minutes to order our paletas and get the order as it was a little bit slower during the time we went. Definitely worth a try now before the summer comes and it's packed.

Yelp
I took my kid for the excitement of seeing the paletas on display, when I arrived it was nearly empty and looked like all paletas were gone ! When I asked the employee she said actually just tell the flavor and they'll bring it out from the back, we are both very visual and all the labels without product were overwhelming so we opted for the regular scooped ice cream which was on display, it was a little pricey, $10 something for two small scoops , it would have been worth it had we had the chance to browse the paletas and choose, my kid did enjoy the Cookie Monster ice cream though
google avatar

Stephanie M.

Yelp
I was looking for a new ice cream spot and i stumbled upon this place on yelp - I decided to take a look at it because the reviews looked promising and they have one of my fave ice cream flavors which was Cookie Monster. I did not know that the campfire was a secret social media menu, so as I was looking for the add ons, I asked the cashier if they had the marshmallow and he told me about the campfire! Total was about $8+ for one scoop + campfire so I assume the campfire add on was about $3 or so but it was worth it cause it was so delicious. Definitely can't wait to come back to try other flavors and get the popsicle as well!!

Yelp
Yay for a legit ice cream spot in DTSJ! I recently visited Planeta Paleta, and I'm blown away by the experience! They offer an incredible selection of paletas in unique and classic flavors that are both refreshing and delicious. From tropical fruit to rich chocolate and everything in between, there's something for everyone here. The ingredients taste fresh and natural, and it's clear they put a lot of thought into creating quality treats. My favorite part of this spot is the variety of toppings. I got the ube & Oreo paleta with a condensed milk drizzle! Yum! The staff is friendly and welcoming, and the atmosphere is fun and vibrant. Highly recommend for anyone craving a delicious dessert - Planeta Paleta is a must-try!
google avatar

Ana B.

Yelp
Awesome lineup of paleta flavors. I tried the Cookie Monster Oreo and the mango horchata. Both were not too sweet, though the mango horchata definitely had more spice flavor compared to mango. If you add the drizzles, you're looking at $6/paleta. It's worth it if you go for the unique flavors and the space decor is pretty nice.
google avatar

Yuria G.

Yelp
Mexican × Space × Ice cream!! The ice cream here is so colorful and unique! Everything looks so good :) Mexican Street Corn: It had a refreshing lemony flavor. Campfire: This was a secret menu item I found on social media. I loved the marshmallow and ice cream combo. Definitely want to come back!

Yelp
First time here. Saw this place on YouTube. Employees are friendly and patient. Prices aren't bad. Ambiance has a space theme. Which is cool. I got the Reeces cup bar, half dipped in chocolate and Nutella drizzle. Wife got Ube Horchata with condensed milk drizzle. Both really good. They offer all types of drizzle and topping options. I'll come back.

Yelp
I'm so glad Paleta Planeta now has a brick and mortar, and the location is easily accessible as well. The interior is fun and definitely decorated to the space theme--lots of astronauts and galaxy vibes. There were a few pieces of decor (like a giant hanging paleta) that the children inside really flocked to. It would be a fun photo op as well, if you're into that kind of thing. They had a large selection of paletas and various ice creams (I didn't check out that area), as well as a menu that includes some savory items. My main gripe is how disorganized the interior setup is--you're supposed to enter the payment line/queue straight from the door, but all the flavors are on the sides of the registers, and not posted anywhere on the hanging menu. This caused a crowd of mass confusion, as people would (understandably) flock to the flavor selection and consequently order there, technically cutting in front of those waiting in line to order and pay. My group got three flavors of paletas: Strawberry Horchata - fantastic and recommended by the employee Ube Brownie - my favorite, though a bit TOO studded with brownie chunks for my taste. The textures were great though Pepino Chile - not my vibe, but my friend enjoyed it

Yelp
I've been so excited to try Paleta Planeta, and it was really good! I got a strawberry horchata paleta and my boyfriend got a matcha horchata paleta. We ordered the esquite (Mexican street corn) to share. Both the paletas were delicious and came in a cute themed tray. They tasted very fresh and creamy. I could really taste the real strawberries in the strawberry horchata paleta. The esquite was also very good, but I think the portion is very small for the price ($6.95). The cup it comes in is maybe the same size as a single scoop cup for ice cream. The lime wedge provided was also a little dry with not much juice. The corn was so good though with the cotija cheese, sour cream, mayo, and chili powder. Service was helpful and kind. I'll be back to try all their other flavors!
google avatar

Michelle L.

Yelp
Hubby visited me at work and we decided to get some dessert! After perusing Yelp, I stopped and yelled we have to go to Paleta Planeta!!! Why you ask? Because of the image that popped up of that scrumptious looking Cookie Monster popsicle!!! The employee greeted us right when we walked in and took the time to explain the different options. Since it was our first time, we asked a lot of questions and even added stuff while the employee prepared it. I hoped we weren't bothering him but he was as excited as we were and proudly served us our half-dipped Cookie Monster popsicles on the cute little trays. YUM SO YUMMY NOM NOM NOM The end.

Yelp
Walked here from Christmas in the park. Easy walk to get here less than 10mins. Got distracted by the ice cream flavors that we didn't even look at the paleta flavors. So many options and all look delicious. We got the Oreo cookie, bubble gum and watermelon ice cream. The small was a good size for adults and kids. Everything was sweet without being over the top sweet. Happily coming back to try out other flavors and the paletas. Also the staff and owner are super friendly and the place is clean with inside seating.
google avatar

Elizabeth M.

Yelp
New Paleteria opened up in downtown. They have unique flavors, and they can add more ingredients in your paleta. From sweet chocolate to spicy tajin and chamoy. Create your own unique flavor. Place is clean and you can eat there or take it to go. They offer paletas and ice cream cones. Service is fast.
google avatar

Megha R.

Yelp
Such a cool place with a great vibe and lot of interesting decor! There was a staggering amount of flavors and they looked very inviting. My friends and I tried the Paleta in Cookie Monster, Mango Coco and Coffee Horchata. Each one was unique and flavorful. The staff were very attentive and helped us make our choices. We got samples from the ice cream section and there were some tasty options for next time.
google avatar

Neleh H.

Yelp
Super fresh delicious flavors I had a hard time choosing! My friends loved horchata & berries/cream. I went with watermelon/ sandia and it was so refreshing. Really happy we had them at our community event.
google avatar

Yelp
I first found about Paleta Planeta accidentally while picking up cookies at an event by SAP and I was hooked! I would go after work to Zunigas restaurant in ESSJ. I'm so happy for them that they have a home now. Honestly the best paletas to ever exist. Thank u so much for creating these amazing and unique flavors. I love the sandía, matcha, ube oreo flavors. Can't go wrong with any flavor tbh. The inside is so cute and creative. It used to be 4th St Pizza. I remember those days! I parked around the corner and find street parking. Also there's a couple of garages nearby where 1st 90 mins are free. I'm so happy for this business to be here. Absolutely great addition to DTSJ.

Yelp
We just finished a round a golf and wanted something sweet. We searched on Yelp and saw the pictures and we knew we had to check it out. Street parking was tough, so my girlfriend ran in and grabbed a Coffee horchata paleta with a white chocolate drizzle. This may have been one of the best desserts I've had in a really long time. We got one to share bc we were heading to a heavy dinner, but I really regret not getting one of my own. You can get a paleta for around $4-6, which for the quality and flavor is well worth every penny. The packaging is cool too, so it can hold the bar and catch any drippings. If I lived closer, I'd definitely be going here often. Also bonus points after I realized this was the location of the old 4th Street Pizza, where I spent many of my college nights, so happy they kept the sign for the nostalgia! Overall, if you are craving something sweet and cold, Paleta Planeta would be worth checking out.
google avatar

Nicole G.

Yelp
Such a cute place! There are tons of ice cream and Paleta options. I enjoyed the Oreo paleta and Oreo ice cream, because it also has the golden Oreo. Who would'a thought!
google avatar

Antonio A.

Yelp
I visited this location for the first time after seeing it on social media and hearing friends rave about the new downtown spot. It's located where 4th St. Pizza used to be, right in front of City Hall. The interior has plenty of seating and features lots of art, adding to the atmosphere. When I visited, the line was short, which was a nice surprise. One thing to note is they have two separate lines--one for Paletas and one for ice cream. I tried three Paletas: guava, Jamaica strawberry, and cookies and cream. I'll definitely be back to try the ice cream. This is officially my new go-to dessert spot!
google avatar

Rayna T.

Yelp
I've been seeing this on my social media and finally had the chance to stop by. I love space, so I loved the inside. There was a bit of a line but, it went by quick. The worker was extremely nice. I loved how he asked if this was our first time visiting. They have a variety of flavors to choose from. They have paleta's and regular ice cream. Not much seating inside but it was okay. I had gotten the mangoleta and it was phenomenal. Probably the best one I've had in a while . Definitely coming back to try more flavors.

Kelsey J.

Yelp
great flavors and loved the ambiance. Would come again to try the other flavors. Service was quick and efficient
google avatar

Lety G.

Yelp
This place is AMAZING! It's very close to my office which may be dangerous! You can choose between scoops or popsicles and there are a ton of toppings choices as well. They let you sample too which is great! There's a ton of flavors and I love that there's even fun Mexican ones like Gansito and Abuelita. It can be a bit overwhelming because every single flavor looks delicious! I got the Astro popsicle which is guava, watermelon and horchata and got the condensed milk drizzle on top. I LOVE that they give you a little box to place it in because we all know paletas can become messy real quick! The flavor was delicious and I can't wait to come back and try more. I feel like I'll need to come once a week to try everything I wanted to try. They also have street corn and other food items plus the decor inside is space themed and super cute and the staff was all really nice!
google avatar

Briana V.

Yelp
I really love the concept of this ice cream shop. They have great flavors to chose from and a range of toppings that you can add to your ice cream, the ice creams were fresh and you could tell that they use actual fruit to make some of their ice creams. Parking is a tab but difficult but if you get lucky you can find one on the side of their building. Service was good, straight to the point. Very transactional but love the overall esthetics of the ice cream shop. Very clean and the ice cream tasted so good. Give them a try you will not be disappointed.
google avatar

Christine C.

Yelp
Cool new ice cream place with all sorts of fun flavors! Wide variety to choose from. Will definitely be back to try some more!
google avatar

Valerie W.

Yelp
Came here twice in one day with my partner!!Once on our way down to Monterey and we initially got 2 flavors, the Mango Maracuya (Passionfruit) and the Mango Horchata. The first has a great refreshing passionfruit flavor, and the latter is more mellow Mango balanced really well with the Horchata. Ended up getting a third, the Fresa (strawberry) Horchata one to go for our drive, this one was my favorite. Both my partner and I prefer the horchata flavors, they're a bit creamier. On our way back up, when ended stopping by again, I got another Fresa Horchata and my partner got the Mango Cream, this time adding a condensed milk drizzle to it, which I highly recommend. Would definitely come back to this place (since we already did lol), the staff is really nice and I like that they give recommendations on toppings. The AC is great too, and there's a parking garage near by with street parking for a quick stop.
google avatar

Yesenia T.

Yelp
On a perfect hot day yesterday we went to grab ourselves a paleta This place was not only so cute with the little astronaut decorations but it had super good unique paletas that you can top with sauces (like chamoy) and other sweet toppings for an additional 75¢ per topping! Service was also super friendly! * I got the Strawberry Watermelon paleta with chamoy and gummy bears 10/10 * Mango Guanabana paleta with chamoy * Jaimaica paleta Go check this place out! I'll definitely be back for the ice cream next!
google avatar

Junelle B.

Yelp
Soooo good i love the variety of the flavors:) the worker was so nice and gave us the quakes 74 for free.....:,,,) would come again if im in san jose! 10/10

Andrew C.

Yelp
This place is a gem. They have very unique selection of ice cream and are a great option for those looking to try something new. I love all of their horchata flavored options. I think it is a little bit pricey considering how much paletas from paleta carts cost growing up in LA, but by Bay Area standards, it is similarly priced to other ice cream places and much more worth it imo. Recommend trying both their regular ice cream and their paleta (the ones on a stick). They're both very good and there's a flavor there for everyone.
google avatar

Debby C.

Yelp
Grabbed a bunch of paletas for my church party and they were soooo good! You can tell they take care to use high quality ripe fruits. They were really friendly and my preschooler had so much fun posing next to the space themed props.
google avatar

Hilary K.

Yelp
So excited that this place has opened in the neighborhood! It is clean, bright and refreshing on a hot day. They have lots of fun Paleta flavors to choose from or ice cream scoops if you aren't in a paleta mood. My kids were excited to get gummy worms on their paletas. Cute space themed decor. We are rooting for them to do great and stay on our street long term!
google avatar

Tiffany V.

Yelp
10/10 would recommend! Got to try a couple things off their menu tonight & let me tell you, I wish I could've tried every flavor of ice cream/Paleta they had to offer! Clean, open space with tables to sit inside ...We sat down & enjoyed our treats and just talked about the flavors we want to try next time!! We'll be back soon!
google avatar

Angie L.

Yelp
This place is awesome. I was there for the opening and now I know why everyone came for the opening . These Paletas are delicious & refreshing . Customer service is awesome here . They care about their clients . Family owned . Definitely made me feel right at home . I got the strawberry Paneta. I will definitely be back for more treats. Highly recommend.
google avatar

Eric W.

Yelp
Went there with my family and my kids loved the place and the refreshing fruit based popsicles. We ended ordering all the flavors we weren't able to try in 1 day because they all look so good! Would recommend stopping by and grabbing yourself one. Staff are super friendly and love the atmosphere.
google avatar

Jonathan L.

Yelp
Unique dessert place in downtown SJ! Nice variety of both paletas and ice cream. Good service and portions
google avatar

Tabitha Y.

Yelp
Although this place is a little pricey for a popsicle, I appreciate this being a small local business and don't mind paying because the flavor NEVER misses and the customer service is genuine. They have also decorated the inside too to be a little trendy so I encourage all to take pics of your pops and support this small business!!!

Ivette V.

Yelp
Place is cute but ice cream was just meh. Visually looks good, but the taste is just not there.
google avatar

Jess D.

Yelp
Delicious paletas. Not too sweet. The workers are really cool. Love their location, right in the heart of dtsj. The inside is pretty chill and clean. Definitely will be back!

Yvonne F.

Yelp
They are apparently tik tok famous and the video had people buying up their specials! i'll be back to try it but i did try the Strawberry with chamoy and Tajin and it was delicious! Cute little ambience for photo ops.

Freddy G.

Yelp
I was enjoying my Mazapan ice cream when I realized there was a hair embedded in it. Very disappointing as the ice cream itself was good.

kevi t.

Yelp
Good experience. Priced about right. Has lots of various cream to try. Kids really enjoyed it as well.

R B.

Yelp
This place is super cool they have a wide variety of ice cream and you can add toppings to it as well. I will would be going back to try more flavors.

Ana F.

Yelp
This is one of the best paletas we've ever had. All the flavors are so unique and tasty such as Cookie Monster, gansito, berries and cream and much more. The customer service was great and was one of our best experiences. The ambiance was great on the grand opening. They had music playing and felt so fun.

Anhthu L.

Yelp
Their ice cream is really delicious. I liked everything I have tried so far. Service is friendly. Clean place. Highly recommended!

Yelp
Attended the grand opening today , the astronaut theme is cool! And may inspire our youth to reach for higher stars! I got the 2 scoop vanilla with chocolate raspberry and the Cookie Monster All were delicious
