"Opened in 1997 by chef Kevin Taylor, the café serves New American cuisine with dishes like Anaheim chiles rellenos and corn soup with barbecued shrimp. The menu often reflects current exhibitions." - Food & Wine Editors

Great artist pairing to a exceptional museum! The Shrimp Benedict was great, albeit a bit pricey, but I have never encountered that before. They also have $14 bottomless mimosas for brunch. Wasn't too busy when I came and parking is a bit difficult as well.

I was looking for a restaurant that would have good food, upscale environment, and would be situated close to the Denver Art Museum. Palette’s is the place! I was very pleased with the sleek modern feel of the interior as well. This is a wonderful place to have a special lunch. I highly recommend the carrot & ricotta tortellini, with English peas, tomatoes, honey mushrooms, covered with a rich chardonnay herb cream sauce and the Palette’s cobb salad, Yum! Our server, Leigh was excellent as well. Tip: The brunch menu offers bottomless mimosa’s! Enjoy!

I went for lunch and had the crab rolls appetizer. They seemed to have crab meat not from the legs but from the body portion. The crab taste was slight and the roll was not worth it. The salad it was on was good though, the thinly sliced apple was especially nice. I tried the seasonal bass entree and also the brie sandwich, both were very good. The brie sandwich doesn't have a lot of brie but it still seemed perfectly made with the wonderful dried cranberries and cranberry jam to go along with it. The home made chips were cute but not that tasty. The bass dish was good along with the seafood that came with it which included lobster claws and shrimp. The sauce said rhubarb in the description but I could not detect it, even so it was good. The servers were great but it did seem to take longer to get our food than I expected.

It's not often visitors or tourists would give much consideration to a restaurant in a gallery. We happened to walk by when the aromas from the kitchen caught our attention. The menu was read with potential was incredibly reasonably priced. The prix fixe menu is the best value here though we didn't opt for it on this occasion. Save room for dessert though as this is definitely the highlight and worth returning alone to work through the options. I can easily see repeat visits to enjoy a coffee and dessert to break up a day at the DAM.

This restaurant is attached to the museum and has a very nice decor with various hanging artwork and the wall length windows overlook the museum grounds providing you much to look at while hanging out with friends. Went for dinner a few times and was very satisfied with everything. Supposedly their menu changes every so often which is nice plus. The tuna was fantastic and all the sides complemented everything nicely. Had a rose flavored alcoholic drink which isn't my normal bourbon \ vodka fare, but it was surprisingly good. I coerced six of my friends to give it a try with me for their Saturday brunch and everyone enjoyed their plates. The eggs benedict appeared to be the table favorite and I myself enjoyed their bloody-mary as well. It is a unique place that you and a friend should definitely give a try! Make sure to get reservations before hand unless you're ok with walking in and waiting for quite a while. Might be a good opportunity to roam around... it is an art museum afterall!

It was a convenient option for our visit to a DAM timed-entry exhibit, and there are several vegetarian options on the menu. But the brunch was merely OK. My companion and I ate here before visiting the Star Wars costume exhibit at the Denver Art Museum. I ordered the eggs benedict without meat, and my companion ordered the shrimp & grits benedict; we both ordered coffee. The cook did our orders incorrectly, giving me the shrimp-grits bennie with no meat, and giving my companion a classic benedict with bacon instead of chorizo. The staff apologetically corrected the order; this caused a (fairly long) delay but we still made it to our timed exhibit entry. My benedict was pretty bland; the hollandaise sauce was overly thick and not very flavorful/eggy. It also wasn't very warm. However, my companion said her benedict was very good. The coffee was excellent. The customer service was quite good; the manager even stopped by our table to apologize for the error. I would visit again, but not for brunch. Other items on the menu look quite appealing.

Samurai menu delicious from start to finish. But then we have been coming to Palettes for five years now and Palettes never disappoints be it the food, the service or the ambience. Palettes is one of our favorite treats and here, in the midst of the Denver Art Museum, another favorite, and adjacent to the Still, yet another fabulous place, is Denver at its best.

It's a more sit-downy place which reflects in the pricing. So sit here to relish a lingering meal as you watch through it wall to ceiling windows the public artwork outside and the tourists and museum visitors strolling around! Food takes a while, however is well made. Serving sizes are big! It's not inexpensive.
