Palihotel Hollywood

Me and my wife stayed here whilst on a holiday to LA for our 1 year wedding anniversary. Pali were very kind in giving us a room upgrade and a little bottle of champagne. The hotel: Location is GREAT. Next door is an In an’ Out Burger, 7Eleven, and it’s right next to the Walk of Fame, public transport and a lot of tourist attractions. This was easily the best part of the hotel, in a great location an absolutely no complaints about that. The hotel room itself was quite nice, the shower was great and the access to TV was also good for night times. The room was quite spacious, but this could be due to the upgrade. HOWEVER, I do have to stress this. The room has a little cupboard and a fridge with snacks and drinks which are RIDICULOUSLY priced. A Kit Kat was $5! I think it’s stupid to have snacks and drinks in the room when they’re not included. The coffee pods were also tiny including the cups provided, it was maybe the size of a mouthful of coffee if that. The Service; This is where the hotel is a let down for me. We stayed for 1 week and in that time, we selected on the first night when we checked in that we wanted a room clean. The room did get tidied everyday but 4/5 out of the 7 days we didn’t get any new towels. The old ones were taken away but not replaced. I had to go down to reception on those nights to explain for them to then give fresh towels. It’s a little bit of an inconvenience when you’re tired and just want to have a shower and go to bed. Also in the one week we stayed, the bed sheets had not been changed once. We came back to our room once and found housekeeping there at 5.20pm!! The housekeeping service could easily be better and needs to be improved. Overall; It’s a nice hotel, some may say it’s like a budget hotel and to an extent I can agree. We had a better experience I believe because we were upgraded with a balcony too, but with the above complaint, it was very frustrating.

Most importantly, the customer service was most memorable. It was truly an incredible experience. I was greeted so kind from the start of my stay till the very end. The front desk agent assisted me each and every time I needed assistance. I was cared for here, I truly appreciate this establishment and the standard that is set.|Please note Javier was the front desk agent that continuously checked in on me. I’m grateful, thank you.

The aesthetic of the hotel is about as good as it gets. service was average, we requested for housekeeping everyday and they failed to come on the first day. We asked for an iron as the one in our room didn’t work. They brought us an iron however they later went into our room and took it out without notifying us and failed to re replace the one that wasn’t working. My husband spoke to 4 different people the next day just to get another. Our room was dusty and the shower had mould. I feel like they don’t meet the general requirements for cleaning. $35USD with fee a day parking on-top of destination fee and whatever you’ve already paid to stay at their property. Disappointed with out stay and wouldn’t recommend…

Parts of this hotel were lovely, whereas others were slightly shabby (fixtures falling off the walls, various holes in the walls around the room) the pool area and decor around that was very nice and the bed was very comfy. I’d accidentally booked an extra night in the hotel which I hadn’t needed and when I asked the front desk they told me I’d need to change it through the website I booked through, when I contacted that website they told me to speak to the front desk, in the end I gave up and just checked out a day early, I felt like the front desk could’ve made more of an effort to help me on this. The elevator was out of order meaning I had to haul my heavy suitcase up several flights on stairs with no offer of assistance. When I arrived back home to the UK I noticed I’d been charged $40 a day to park my vehicle there, something I wasn’t told about when booking or when checking in. Overall I think this hotel could be fantastic with a few tweaks.

Was given a room that still had the previous tenants' possessions and trash strewn about the room. Tried to use the room phone several times, but never picked up on the other end. Ordered a taxi for 6 am at the front desk, come time for pick up, no taxi was ordered. Replacement came swiftly, but still late. Good cafe and atmosphere.

Room and decor was fine, had that Palm Springs retro aesthetic. Overall it feels like a budget motel with better decor. We had one of the better room types, but things were not good quality. There is no service whatsoever (even a budget motel has better service). I would not pay 200 a night for this hotel.

I am always skeptical of negative hotel reviews, and glad I was! Stayed 2 nights Saturday to Monday for $429, a little higher than I'd like to spend on a hotel, but reasonable given the location. Staff was friendly all around. PROS: -Awesome, retro-modern decor in the common areas and room design. -Pool area is Palm Springs retro chic, lovely! -Rooms are smaller, but well designed, efficient, and clean. -Bed was comfy and slept well since we got a quiet room in the back of the hotel away from Sunset Blvd. -Secure underground parking garage, great for LA! I think it was supposed to be $35/night for parking, but I didn't get charged. -Central location walking distance to Hollywood Blvd, restaurants, bars. Bossa Nova is delicious and reasonably priced! CONS: -Smaller rooms -Local area is normal for LA, but some out of towners might be a bit fearful of the sight of culture, people of color, lower income folks, stylistic hipsters, and the working class. But if you're anywhere near an In N Out, Starbucks, and Chick Fil A, you know you're in a pretty safe neighborhood overall, like this one. Will definitely stay here ago someday!

We absolutely loved Palihotel Hollywood.||This was my first trip to Los Angeles from the UK and honestly it could not have been a better choice. We stayed for six nights and it felt perfect from start to finish.||We had a stressful arrival at LAX because our bags did not make the flight, so they were being delivered to the hotel a couple of days later. The staff were incredibly kind and helpful, happily offering accepting the delivery and hold our bags for us if they arrived while we were out. The hotel staff called us as soon as everything arrived, which was such a relief after two days in LA without our things!||The hotel itself is gorgeous. I genuinely want to decorate my house like Palihotel. The bar was great, the pool was beautiful, and the room was clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed.||We used the underground parking for our rental car and it was easy, secure, and convenient to come and go whenever we wanted.||The location was ideal. Hollywood Boulevard was walkable and being right on Sunset made it easy to get around by car. We drove to Santa Monica, Beverly Hills, SoFi Stadium, and Intuit Dome with no issues at all.||Thank you for making my dream trip to LA even better than I imagined.||One last question because I am still thinking about it. What room fragrance do you use around the hotel? I was completely obsessed and meant to ask before we left!!

Did a little staycation at Palihotel Hollywood and it was such a good choice. The room was beautifully designed. I loved the lighting, the rugs, the furniture, and everything felt super thoughtful and cozy in a cool, stylish way. The mini bar was definitely on the pricey side, but that's expected. There was a coffee maker in the room, but the only pods provided were for tea. I probably could've asked for coffee, but didn't get around to it before checkout. The lobby was also gorgeous. I didn't have time to check out the pool, but it looked amazing and I'm definitely planning to next time. And they do a happy hour at the lobby bar! Staff were really friendly and helpful, and the location is ideal. You can walk to so many Hollywood landmarks without needing a car. Parking was expensive, which is pretty normal for the area, but it's in a fully secure, enclosed garage, which I appreciated. Would absolutely stay here again.

Very cute boutique hotel. We stayed here last minute on New Year's Eve and really enjoyed the charm. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. You can definitely tell it's an older hotel, from the hallways to the elevator. but they've done a great job with the upgrades while keeping its character.

Super cute hotel on Sunset. Great location If You Wanna be near Mann's Chinese rheater and Hollywood walk of stars, you could walk from here. They opened a huge In-N-Out burger right next-door, which is fascinating to watch at all times of day, being totally busy. There was an IHOP across the street, which was fine but a little sketch you are central to Melrose and all the food and shops there and a quick jaunt away to Silverlake. You can see the Hollywood sign up from the building by the Dolby theater or you can go for a hike into the hills for a more up close look. For how dirty the street is the hotel is charming, cute in pink and green with the pool in the center courtyard and a gated underground parking, which makes you feel shielded from all the elements and comfortable, chill & nice. We were three and two and the check-in person automatically gave a little bit bigger room to the three people which was awesome. Didn't have to ask for anything. We just had great service the entire time we were there from looking for towels, check in etc. Did not eat here. The only thing was my room personally was not cleaned, but I think it only stands out because my previous hotel also did not get cleaned also. Totally recommend this place if you are trying to see these tourist highlights and you have a car. This location is much better than Melrose if you have a rental, but overall, the Pali hotels are very cute and worth checking out no matter what city you are in.

Amazing experience at the PaliHotel. My girlfriend and I went to grab some drinks prior to our Dinner plans and were treated kindly and professionally by the staff and bartender. I got a drink called "Bubbles" which is a Lambrusco and my girlfriend got an "Eastside" which is a mint,lime, cucumber mocktail.

Overall, not the worst it could be but disappointed in the experience. I booked the King suite and planned to do a little staycation for 1 night. I'd visited the Pali Hotel in WeHo and figured this would be a cute little spot to stay at. Room + fees brought me to a little over $400 When I arrived I immediately wished I'd google mapped the location because the hotel surroundings are sketch but I'm from LA & so it is what it is, not a deal breaker. The valet was very friendly and helpful. Assisted me with bringing my bags to the front desk. The person checking in, Shirley? Nice enough but extremely dry and probably not someone who should be welcoming folks in. After checking in we're pointed to a tiny, matchbox elevator that we took upstairs to our room. I wouldn't learn that the front desk can help with bringing bags up until I see them assisting other guests in this way. The room itself was billed as a king suite but pretty sure the bed was a queen. Again, not a deal breaker, just observation. The room decor is cute and aesthetic & it comes with 2 comfy couches in a "den-like" section of the room. When I arrived I immediately start Lysol wiping the floors because I like to be barefoot with no worries. I didn't expect to find much dirt or anything but the floors were genuinely filthy. The floors looked like they hadn't been swept or mopped in some time, as the wipes I used were nearly black. There were also long strands of hair all over the room. I scrubbed down the bathroom floor and shower which was also dirty and I found a clump of hair in the shower. I was frustrated but wasn't going to say anything since I'd already cleaned it, then I pulled back the comforter to find the bed looked like it had been slept in and there was were strands of hair underneath. I pulled sheets back to see yellow stains on mattress pad. Long story short they changed all the bedding, ignored my mention about the cleanliness of the floors and bathroom. In the morning we went to the cafe downstairs " Bennys on the Blvd" . Dry, awkward service is the name of the game but she was trying. I was told this would be Benny's last day. Probably for the best. Coffee: mid. Food: below-mid. Brulee'd grapefruit is the only thing I'd consider ordering again, can't really mess that up. Pool was heated, didn't get in. Lounge chairs discolored and dirty. At check out that told me guests are charged a "destination fee" for the pool ($12). But they would graciously waive it for me because my dirty room. $12 .... When leaving, the valet watched me lug my bags down the stairs and just unlocked my car from his podium without moving lol. All in all, won't be back unless they get more hospitality minded/trained staff, improve hotel cleanliness, & get better food

Best service I've ever had at a hotel. Bartenders, servers, and front desk staff were all incredibly nice, acknowledging, and helpful. The decor was cute and aesthetic. The bed was so comfortable. I love that they had poolside bites but wished there a bit more options to choose from like maybe a cream cheese bagel or something. Overall a great hotel!

Aesthetically pleasing hotel with lots to work on. While designed beautifully with so much attention to detail the cleaning is subpar lots of dust and tons of hair in my room particularly the bathroom. I was here for a work trip and the valet couldn't park the van I was driving for height restrictions but also couldn't give me a solid suggestion on where to go (I'm not familiar with the area and LOTS of parking restrictions) I think they should at least provide options so I drove around for an hour and found a sketchy lot blocks away that had $50 overnight parking. No bell hop and stairs made getting some of my work product to my room difficult. The lobby sets off great first impressions until you realize checkin takes about 25 minutes with 1 person in line. Finally got to my room - kind of a maze and the only outside window was an interior window to a hall. I went downstairs to get a drink really tasty took 5 minutes. Next drink I ordered took 30 mins with only 1 couple ahead. Bartenders are on the unfriendly side. Courtyard and tiny pool are the highlight. Beautiful plants nice and peaceful to enjoy a drink.

The hotel was very nice however, they were very overpriced. Parking is $50 plus some extra fees. Our entire stay here kept getting some extra fees added. Everything had some extra fees.

had the cadillac drink at the bar and its delicious! perfect level of sweetness and just the right amount of alcohol. the hotel itself is beautiful, enjoyed how well they mixed the colors. definitely giving full on LA/hollywood vibes

Here for my Nieces wedding and the staff and GM made it a beautiful time here for us.

A glorified motel with some cute furnishings and cosmetic updates. The elevator is the first issue. It's shaky, slams down onto your floor, and is shared by the staff. Its safety certification from the city expired in April of last year. Don't use it. The parking lot is a horror show. Dark, damp, and scary. You get into said elevator and share it with miserable employees bringing literal dirty laundry. There is no gym. The pool is cute, but the hallways leading to the rooms hasn't been updated since the 1990s, and the carpet is old, smelly, and stained. The hallways smell of mold and damp. The dog toys and bed are a nice touch. The rooms are TINY and I barely fit my large suitcase in it. It is not suitable for more than one person. The mini split in the room never cooled the air, and the windows didn't open. I felt like I was suffocating. We ended up leaving and checking into the Loews, where we were very comfortable. Unless you're strapped for cash, don't bother with this one.

Disbelief. The hotel is a bit chaotic and overpriced. I wasn't going to write a review but I left sunglasses behind and have spent the past 3 weeks trying to get a hold of the hotel. Left many voicemails. My email bounced back (sent to the email on their website). Finally got someone to answer the phone they did not comment when I explained my experience (not even an 'I'm sorry to hear that'!) but they did have my glasses. They said they'd send a link for me to fill out so they can ship the glasses. Got the link: they are charging me $50 to send the sunglasses from LA to SF. $50 or I don't get them. They are a few ounces and in their own case. This is just one ridiculous thing too many. Avoid this hotel and the hotel group. They are unresponsive, uncaring and unnecessary.

We got tickets for a show at the Hollywood bowl and wanted to stay somewhere darling. This place was definitely darling charming and very clean. We could walk to the bowl to restaurants and our coffee was so good in the morning didn't catch the barista's name but he was wonderful.. Can you get the Apple Store? I'll go by and get them.

I'm super picky about hotels and this one was super nice and clean. The smell tells a lot about the place and I love it since I first entered.

Ambiance is elegantly low key and the rooms are super comfortable and well appointed. Service distinguishes this place. Javier at the front desk was super accommodating. Iona was such a good host at the pool. Drink mix was on point and the garnishes were beautiful. She even took pictures for folks at the pool deck between running drinks and food. Cody at bar was also super friendly and an expert at pairing straw color to personality. He also hooked up the perfect night cap. Loved my stay.

Overall a good experience thanks to the GM. Unfortunately her deck staff will fail the team if they are allowed to make room assignment blunders and blow off the customers who are dropping the $ that pays their wages. Great problem solving and resolution to my frustrations. She absolutely made it right and enabled us to enjoy our time there. Just be advised, this beautiful hotel is in the heart of Zombie land. Homelessness and mental patients populate the entire area. The In and out was a helpful neighbor. However, any venturing out must be contained within daylight hours. Trash, human waste, sleeping zombies and unpredictable characters abound.

The sweetest staff, I have stayed here twice and they always make sure to accommodate. My favorite is the pool area!

This is for my stay in Feb, 2024. Perfect location, Beautifully done, with professional staff. Nate the barman, and Omar the valet/ security. I loved all the amenities in my room especially the nespresso mini.

This place has super cute ambience, vibe, and decor! I was in town for the night and I was supposed to arrive earlier than planned and unfortunately didn't get in until the evening and I was exhausted so I didn't get to explore the hotel too much but everybody that worked there was nice and the balcony room view with the lights and the music was really nice as well. I ordered a latte in the morning which was super yummy, and everything was great except a little bit of an issue with the elevator on the way out, but other than that, everything was great.

Just want to send a special thank you to Javier at the front desk who was able to work with me and my credit card company to get a refund on a stay due to a family emergency. He was clearly VERY busy but went above and beyond to assist me and I am very grateful for his friendliness and assistance.

Palihotel Hollywood, nestled on Sunset Boulevard, epitomizes vintage Hollywood charm. Last month during our stay, my husband and I were enchanted by the impeccable service and its prime location. We are so glad this location is open in Hollywood and we overall felt safe. Upon our arrival the Front Desk Manager Luis warmly welcomed us to this boutique hotel. He went above and beyond our stay by providing us a room that was more than adequate. We also briefly interacted with Front Desk Staff Esmeralda at check in and Derek at check out who both are kind and hospitable. This hotel is quaint, but spacious. It is decorated with many pretty green plants, which is awesome. We had a balcony room overlooking the pool. Our room was very clean. The bed and pillows were comfortable. The walk-in shower had great water pressure. I just love their color schemes light green and white. We enjoyed having a quick breakfast on one of our mornings from their cafe. They delivered it to our room so they could prepare it after we ordered near the lobby. The courtyard pool area is a perfect retreat for guests with many chairs to relax and lounge. We did not get a chance to dip into the pool, but it appeared to be clean. Many thanks to Arely, the Housekeeper, and Raphael, the Security Guard, who also provided excellent customer service. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Palihotel Hollywood. We were so pleased to learn it is conveniently located to many places since we did not have a car. It is walking distance to several restaurants, stores, and most importantly the Walk of Fame. It is a short drive to other locations, such as Paramount Pictures Studios, Warner Bros Studios, and Universal Studios. We highly recommend Palihotel Hollywood for their exceptional customer service and prime location. Thank you all for providing a wonderful and memorable stay! We look forward to staying here again!

We stayed in the hotel the second week in Jan 2025. PROS(2): There is a safe in the room; and Valet staff helpful with handicapped wife climbing stairs. CONS (9): The refrigerator in the room is full of liquor leaving no space for our items; no coffee pot; no microwave; bed is very soft (you'll sink in it); no ironing board; no iron; valet parking $48/day; housekeeping ignored "do not disturb" sign on the door; and, no chair available for clients to apply makeup in front of mirror or desk.

Really cute hotel with awesome pool. However, the walls are abnormally thin or maybe no sound proofing? I kept waking up during the night to people talking and having sex. Then I woke up to someone's alarm clock going off at 6 am. They hit snooze for 2 hours. You shouldn't be able to hear an alarm clock from someone else's room. Would otherwise be a 5 star review but really put a damper on my Saturday. Bring ear plugs and this place is great!

Horrible place!! Save your money!! So expensive and so not worth it. My jeep didn't fit the garage they made me figure it out and move it off property. In such a rude way I may add! Rooms are so hot ugh never stay here please!!!!!!

Wonderful spot. Affordable but high class... Most importantly everyone felt like family there. This is the rare spot in LA that is not crippled with robotic corporate soullessness. Great vibe. Unbelievable service. Spotless. Soft towel... Not too soft. Perfect.. Comfort and style in every direction. The GM, Sirley (Pronounced Shirley)... Has done a masterful job cultivating the customer experience. My drunk Legend of a friend I came there with dropped 600 bucks in a pink money clip... We were certain it was gone. Checked with the front desk out of last gasp hopes... That morning an employee named Shane turned it in. Wow. Nate and Carlos at the Benny's Bar inside are super dope souls. The waiter: Bret (the hitman) ... Heart of Gold. Savannah has a great team at the bar. As soon as they stop charging for club soda (water and air should be free... as God intended, obvio) and get Guinness on tap, I will think this place is heaven.

I stayed here last year with my girlfriend and had a great experience. Unfortunately, my last experience did not live up to my expectations. :( We booked the hotel 4-5 days in advance using booking.com reserved with our credit card. When we arrived, the man at the front told us that booking made a mistake and we didn't have our reservation, and he sarcastically remarked "did you make the reservation 2 minutes ago" (who even does that?) . We showed him our confirmation code on booking yet he claimed that booking had made a mistake. He gave us a new price, more expensive, and acted as if he was doing us a favor by giving us a room. We went to the room, and noticed that the AC was broken and leaking water on the ground. So we had to use towels to not create a mess. Upon checkout, we realized that we were charged for parking twice, and had to once again negotiate with the person running the lobby that indeed, we did not magically bring two cars. (FYI parking is $50 a night plus some mysterious parking "fees") I told the person working at the desk our concerns about our stay and we were met with a cold "sorry", and upon asking for the manager I was given the business card with a number that simply redirects to the person running the lobby. If we were met with more empathy or perhaps something to end our stay on a better note, this review wouldn't be necessary. This hotel is likely canceling reservations to avoid paying booking a cut of the profits, and to hopefully increase the room's price for fatigued tourists. We will be reporting them to booking soon. We are lucky that we only came from san diego, and not the other part of the world!

i stayed at the Palihotel Sunset Blvd 3 days last week for business. I had 3-4 itchy painful bites in a row on my face on the 3rd day. when I discovered it could be bed bugs, I immediately informed the hotel. the manager 'said' that she had the room inspected and that no bedbug activity was found. I requested the detailed report and she refuses to give it to me. this leads me to believe that there are bedbugs in the room. I am concerned that I brought them home with me from the hotel. I asked for the report so I know how to move forward at home (exterminator $$$$). the lack of transparency with the health and safety towards the guests is astonishing. do not stay at this hotel.

We'd stay here again happily! The decor is adorable and the employees over-the-top friendly and welcoming, while maintaining professionalism. Parking is a bit pricey at nearly $50, but it's Hollywood, and its valet only, so it's on par with other comparable hotels. I just really appreciated that info was up front, there were no surprise fees. Thanks Palihotel Hollywood!

Aesthetically pleasing hotel that lacks culture? Idk if culture is the right word but it just felt like something was missing. Staff seemed to just be punching in to a time clock but didn't seem to want to be there, but I get it, we've all been there. No shade, just from my personal experience! EDIT: I just told my wife the review I wrote, and she said "we haven't even left yet" My response was "it's okay they won't even notice us leaving" I think that is a good way to describe the experience. You just don't really feel seen. When you walk in and out, most of the time people are just on their phones, and it's usually my wife that is the one greeting them haha.

Great place. The lobby and the entire hotel have a really cool vibe. It's the middle of winter, so we didn't experience the outdoor pool. The bartenders know what they're doing and the drink and coffee menu is great. Shirley was everywhere, making sure all guests had what they needed - she even helped me plug my laptop in at the coffee bar so I could get some work done. There's great fast food and dine in options nearby. I really enjoyed our experience here; it made me want to try this brand elsewhere.

This place was adorable at first sight. My friends picked it for my bachelorette weekend. As cute as it was, we took COLD showers because the water had an issue in our room. Furthermore, our room's toilet didn't flush! And when we went down to the lobby to use the bathroom, there was NO TOILET PAPER. Even at a Motel 6, you can go to the bathroom! Ridiculous. When we complained to the front desk, they comped our coffees from breakfast... no apology and no real effort to make it right. I get that they're new, but there's no excuse for these types of things. Super disappointed in the way everything was handled and won't be returning any time soon.

I enjoyed my stay at this location! Clean, with great interiors and ambiance. It was my first time at any Palihotel. I loved my room, and all the amenities they offered-the best was the Nespresso Mini Essenza. The staff were courteous and professional, Nate the barman was personable, the valet and security were very nice especially Omar-very welcoming. I hope to stay there again soon.

It is a wonderful establishment with a relaxing atmosphere and beautiful people. Brett was a particularly incredible host. It is in a great location in the heart of Hollywood. I definitely recommend this hotel for anyone seeking a peaceful place to enjoy a break from the bustling city

Cute hotel and chill vibe. I didn't stay there but stopped in for lunch. The guac was some of the best I've ever had and the tacos were delish! Service was amazing!!
