"The Palisociety hotels may have been born in California, but the brand’s colorful, eclectic, European-influenced style travels remarkably well; while Palihouse Hyde Park Village bears an obvious family resemblance to the other hotels of the same name, it looks perfectly at home on the Gulf Coast of Florida. Hyde Park is an upscale residential district just across the river from downtown Tampa, and Hyde Park Village is an open-air mixed-use development with shops, restaurants, and, thanks to Palisociety, a remarkably stylish boutique hotel." - Mark Fedeli

"Make time to stroll or bike along the Tampa Riverwalk to spots like Armature Works, a stylish food hall within an old streetcar warehouse, and Stones Throw to slurp oysters in the open air along the Hillsborough River. Don’t sleep on Tampa’s other fun neighborhoods for some of the best things to do in Florida, like leafy Hyde Park just south of downtown along Hillsborough Bay where Palisociety just opened the intimate little Palihouse Hyde Park Village, a boutique hotel within walking distance of boutiques, parks and scenery new restos like Ro (come for nigiri and sashimi made with fresh fish flown in from Tokyo’s market)."

We loved our stay at Palihouse in Hyde Park! It was a quick stay to celebrate our dogs 4th Birthday and the Super Bowl and we couldn't say better things about the room, staff and overall experience. The Lobby Bar was very enjoyable with great drinks!! We loved that our dog could sit with us too! The hotel room was very clean and comfortable. The bedding and pillows felt like sleeping on a cloud we had the best night sleep (including our dog who laid paws up the whole night). You can't beat the location being right in Hyde Park. We cant wait to stay here again!

I stayed at the Palihouse in Hyde Park Sunday-Tuesday this last week as a girls trip before my Wedding. The hotel is beautiful, we stayed in the King suite. It was gorgeous. However, when we went to go to sleep the first night, we found short curly hairs all over the bed. The hairs looked like male pubic hair. There was also a large yellow stain on the sheets. It was clear that the room was not cleaned properly. We were all disgusted by this (photos attached). When we brought our concerns to the front desk, they gave us new sheets and 3 free drink cards. I do not feel like our concerns were addressed properly. As younger girls we feel taken advantage of and like our concerns were not respected. I loved the hotel and the vibe, but will not be staying here again.

We hosted my sister-in-laws baby sprinkle there this weekend and it was everything we hoped it would be. The staff, particularly Brendan, were very professional and accommodating. We had 15 ladies show up to celebrate and each guest commented on how lovely the hotel and lounge space was, many asking questions about the hotel with plans to return. The lounge provided a perfect backdrop for photos, the cocktails and appetizers were great and everyone was comfortable and impressed with the space. My sister-in-law stayed in the suite that evening with her husband for a little alone time before their babies are born. She messaged me this morning that they loved their stay, both were able to catch up on sleep and were very comfortable there (they have a toddler at home so extra sleep was a blessing!), breakfast in the lounge that morning was very good and overall, they are very happy with the choice to create this lovely weekend at the Palihouse. Also, I have to comment on the aesthetics as the decor is stunning and it was so fun to look around at the well thought through details in the various spaces. We will be back for sure and this special place is now on the radar of all the guests that attended, each of which had a great time and felt well taken care of. Highly recommend checking this place out! :)

They need to put the numerical address on the building. We recently stayed 2 days for my nephew's wedding. The staff was so accommodating and kind. We ordered take-out and the GPS took them to the place down the street. The rooms were so comfortable and private. A bit pricy but worth every single penny!

I recently stayed at Playhouse in Hyde Park Village while in town for a work conference. The hotel looks exactly like the photos (which is rare) and the rooms are clean and absolutely gorgeous. The hotel is walking distance to really great restaurants and bars and is a short uber/lyft ride away from Ybor and Downtown Tampa. ||The staff was also very welcoming (shoutout to Chris) and super friendly. I would absolutely stay here again.

Hotel and Location was Excellent. Prime location along with beautifully designed rooms and common spaces. Brian at check in was fantastic as well. Rooms were clean and minibar was full of great choices. Brendan the HM at checkout was Great as well. Glad to see that Palisociety is always a standout at every location.

Updated review from 1 to 3 stars due to the front desk staff, Chris, being so kind and the Hotel Manager, Brendan, calling afterwards to express his apologies for my experience. I hope they can find the right cleaning crew to match their service! First room was above a restaurant that was extremely noisy so I asked to be moved. Second room was straightened, not cleaned. There was a used nicotine pouch on the bed frame, a used razor in the shower, the linens were stained, and the floor was gross. Due to the late evening, I notified the (very nice) front desk person, Chris, of the state of the room the next morning. I let him know that I removed all of my items from the room if they would please actually clean. When I arrived back to the room that evening, the used razor was still in the shower, the floor was still grungy, same linens on the bed, and there was even new trash on the floor (the plastic package for slippers was on the bathroom floor). For this price point, they need actual cleaners to service rooms. Really disappointed.

Gorgeous decor, very well laid-out room, super convenient parking, and ideal location (everything is in walking distance). Staff was brilliant, friendly, and helpful. Room service in the AM (especially coffee) recommended. We've been amiss for Tampa accommodations recently -- this stay gave us the confidence to book a second trip with an evening at Palihouse next month.

Yelp
We did a quick little overnight stay in Tampa recently and stayed at the Palihouse in Hyde Park. This was going to be mom & dad's first night away from our new baby, so we knew we wanted to pick a place that felt luxurious and special -- even if it was just for one night. The price was actually great considering the location and quality of the hotel at $236/night. We had a wonderful stay a Palihouse which is a boutique hotel in the heart of Hyde Park Village with only about 36 rooms. We opted for the king suite which was very spacious with a dining area and kitchenette. Since I am a pumping mom, having fridge storage for my milk was a must, and I love that all their suites have cute little retro SMEG refrigerators. The bathroom was very clean with cozy robes and the bed was so comfortable. They also have a cocktail lounge in the main lobby where we grabbed a little nightcap. It was so nice to walk outside and be within walking distance of so many amazing restaurants and shops. We would definitely stay here again the next time we're in the Tampa area!

Yelp
Traveling often for work and for fun, I stay at a lot of hotels and Airbnbs. There's much to like about Palihouse Hyde Park Village. It's designed beautifully with plants out front, a spiral staircase to walk up to the reception area, and design-forward rooms. Service is top notch. (For example, they let me check in four hours early.) I stayed in Room 30 and it was the right size for one person. The king-sized bed was comfortable. There's a narrow couch, a narrow desk, and a closet with a hair dryer and a steamer to "iron" your clothes. The bathroom is medium sized with a rain shower with good water pressure. The neighborhood is clearly done up with a Barry's gym across the street, shops, and restaurants built for Gen Zers. The only thing I'd note is that my room was $351 after taxes for one night, which felt steep for what you get. Other than that, it was a good stay.

Yelp
As a travel advisor, I visited this hotel! It was beautiful and quaint. Definitely reminded me of a bed and breakfast. The hotel bar was quiet and welcoming and the interior design was elegant and cute. Definitely recommend staying here. Located in a great area for walking, shopping and dining!

Yelp
I was a guest staying at Palihouse. This hotel review is about their services as a whole (not just food and beverage): Check-in/Check-out/Front desk: The check-in was fine but the extra fees are not disclosed at check-in. Check-in is at 4PM and Check-out is at 11AM. If you want late check-out past a half hour, they will charge you 50.00 per additional half hour in the room. Also, the valet is extra and you will need to valet your car if you have luggage and cannot find a spot in the 7 spot lot behind the hotel. I was fortunate to find a spot on the day I arrived. But, later on had to valet the car in the midst of the weekend traffic. Front desk assisted with recommendations and also, did let me know I could park in the garage across the street and in front of residents homes behind the hotel (this wasn't an option when traveling with a larger sized bag). Plus, who parks in front of a residence?! Rooms: The king room was very cozy and the bed was not too soft and not too hard. I slept well. Guests staying in the hotel were mindful of others and didn't slam doors. The rooms didn't have many "extras." For example, the shelf was stocked with food to buy and drinks in the mini bar. However, there was a small lotion bottle and nothing else in the "extras" for complimentary toiletries. They had a small bar of soap. Note: I noticed room cleanliness overall. The floors looked a tad dirty (all over the hotel). I could see particles here and there throughout the place on the floor. Last but not least, the shower in my room had very low pressure. It was a rain shower and part of the shower head was non functional. It didn't have water running from it. I think it was the best it was going to get and it was a pressure issue. Hopefully, they can fix it. Parking: The parking is a hot mess. If you are willing to pay 30.00 per night, you'll be ok. The additional charge to your bill or extra time it will take you to find a parking spot should be noted. Hyde Park Village is a fun place -- it's gotten busier over the years. For this reason, parking and traffic have become an issue. Overall, I enjoyed my stay Palihouse and the environment of the hotel. It's a new business, it has some kinks to iron out. I look forward to seeing updates and improvements in the future.

Yelp
A hotel bar that offers cocktails, wine/beer, & light bites. I will say the ambiance is cozy and calm but there is definitely room for improvement. The structure of the operation is 1 bartender and she apparently has several other duties in relation to the housekeeping of the hotel. Upon entry there is no one in a designated area bar wise. We waited until someone came from the back & we as well as the patrons across from us, didn't know how the seating worked. The drink I was served was called a Smash & the cheese plate NOT CHACUTERIE contained Marcona almonds & Brie...they were tasty but something was definitely missing. Prosciutto? Decorum?? A wow factor maybe!! Now, I do realize that Palihouse is a hotel however there should be some sort of formation. And maybe this was just an off day- but they need to get back on!! Perhaps this will warrant a return visit. I'm unsure.

Yelp
They know how to make a good, strong drink. The staff is polite but not friendly. They aren't engaging but they will be polite. Glad I went because I tried something new. It is cool but it wasn't remarkable or outstanding.

Yelp
Beautiful hotel lobby and lounge. Still a nice quiet Hyde park secret! Pali house has the most stunning and welcoming decor and adds a cozy lounge option to Hyde park that isn't as slam packed as some of the other bars. Both bartenders are SUPERB and can not only make recommendations from the cocktail menu, but can also go off script as needed. Both of our drinks were perfectly prepared. We didn't have enough time before our dinner reservation for a second round, but are already looking forward to coming back. This is the sort of vibe and quality we needed in Hyde park. If I'm flying a client in for a meeting, this is the place to book them overnight.

Yelp
Cutest freaking hotel ever. I had a hard time finding it because it is tucked in a spot you would never guess a hotel would be. The vibe makes you want to move right in. Comfy, clean and chic!

Yelp
Do NOT use this property ... took my money during hurricane Milton ... no AC .... Please beware

Mark F.

Yelp
I was shocked that while visiting the Bar wanting to use the restroom the Hotel Staff and renovation contractors use the same bathroom. What a turnoff.... I had to wait 5 minutes because the contractor needed a smoke and the housekeeping employee needed some time to text. As I travel the world never do I have to share hotel restrooms with hired help. So happy I chose the Epicurean Hotel....Mark F.

Yelp
We have been coming to Tampa over the past few years so have stayed at a handful of hotels. I would say hands down this is the best hotel we have stayed in. The hotel's decore is well done, and is inviting. The bar area is a good spot for quite drinks. Even though we checked in very late in the evening Lindsey was still very personable and sweet. At check out we were greeted with another friendly person, Chris. He gave us a local recommendation and to my surprise we ran into him at Goody Goody where we were having breakfast. He had my cellphone in hand, I left it on the counter at checkout. I want easy to find since I was sitting with my back to the front door, in the back of the restaurant. excellent hotel and staff. The only place I will be staying at from now on.

Yelp
Hyde Park hotel worth the hype. Excellent location for a shopping and dining staycation. Well appointed and lively lobby lounge with top notch service and quality cocktails. Check in was smooth and room was as expected. Cute, comfortable and clean. Locals and travelers are lucky to have such a good place to stay. Bathtub was 10/10 nice hot water. We called in the reservation to ensure the ADA bathtub room. Room offers fridge and microwave, glasses, plates and flatware. 2 complementary bottles of water and a nespresso machine. Robes and slippers. Use the slippers, I tracked some dirt and dust to bed after the shower barefoot. Some noisy doors were heard as we were in room 14 and I believe it was the public bathrooms down the hall. Great stay otherwise and looking forward to returning. Can't wait to check out other Palihouse properties based solely on the staff and accommodations of the Hyde Park location.

Yelp
This is a hidden gem in Hyde Park Village! Such a quaint bar, with fabulous drinks. This is a great place for after dinner drinks. We will definitely be back.

Yelp
Went to Palihouse which was relatively unknown to us but we stopped in and had breakfast and a cocktail. Liv was absolutely wonderful and even made us a cocktail of her own creation. The breakfast burrito was superb and the Verde sauce was my favorite part. We will definitely be back again soon.

Yelp
A friend & I were walking around Hyde Park, got hungry & saw this new place. Went in to check it out & nice surprise. It was clean, quaint & the furniture alone was so inviting. They have sofas & cushy armchairs in the dining area. Beautiful bar as well. They had a breakfast/lunch menu which was perfect. We shared the breakfast burrito, brûléed grapefruit & ordered a coffee each. The prices aren't so bad either. We split the check since we shared most of it & with tip it was approx $22 each. The breakfast burrito was excellent & my g-friend generally doesn't care for breakfast burritos. It consisted of egg, bacon, cheese, mushrooms & some other yummy things but obviously if there's something you don't care for they'll leave it out. The grapefruit was delicious as well. They present the grapefruit cut in half. Sprinkle a bit of sugar on top & use a torch to brown & harden the sugar. It was really very good & not too sweet. The coffees were strong & delicious. We will definitely go back. Also, apparently they turned the offices that used to be there into hotel rooms. Interesting. You should at least walk upstairs to check the place out. There are stairs or an elevator to get you there. We will definitely be back. Every staff member we encountered was incredibly sweet & personable.
