First time here I just wanted to enjoy the beautiful weather on a rooftop. I had a discrepancy with my tab sitting at the bar.The young lady serving me. Didn't like that I had a valid question. She gave me I just work here and shut down. I asked for the manager and the most polite and gracious young man came over. He introduced himself and shook my hand. Explained the reason for the mishap and fixed it and asked me what he could do to smooth everything over. My request was small, but he treated it with the importance that it deserved. The young lady stayed in her feelings. She never checked on me not even eye contact. Despite her I will come back and I would recommend this spot. 👍🏽👍🏽 To Mr. Baguette

I don’t know who is the new lady they have at the front but absolutely the most unprofessional experience I’ve had at Palisades. I’ve been a regular for years, from buying bottle service to just having drinks and hookah at the rooftop. I’m taking Palisades off my list of summer outings. I highly recommend you take your money elsewhere where it will be more appreciated. I can’t imagine getting yelled at, at an establishment where you’re coming to spend your hard earned money.

The new rebrand to Elysium was perfect. Great food and revamped drink menu really just a great experience whenever you step through the door happy hour great specials turning out to be one of the most chic and innovative lounges not just silver spring but the dmv

I have to put this out there. This place was beyond chaotic. From the food to the service and the cherry to top the worst manager. My boyfriend and I were looking to go on an adventure and try this place out from the looks since the rooftop seemed nice. We made sure to ask the security guy if this is a place where we could have food since that’s what we were looking for initially. This place needs to be upfront that they solely rely on their hookah business and they’re mainly targeting their service to African descendant people. On a Saturday night at about 7:30pm while still daylight, the place was pretty much empty. We first ordered a house whiskey and a blue moon which it was warm and I didn’t care much about that at the moment. Then when we were looking at the menu we all found out at the same time with the staff the menu it’s not updated since they no longer have the beef shawarma. That’s ok it happens. We end up ordering The chicken Tibs and a chicken club sandwich which I asked if it came with any side as I would’ve like to have a saying on it and they said it comes with no sides. The food took about 45 mins to start coming out and when it did I got a chicken quesadilla instead of the sandwich. I looked for the server and said if the rest of the food wasn’t coming out to please cancel everything as we were ready to go. Finally the correct food comes out as they let us know the chicken tibs comes from a different place and that’s why it takes longer. Of course we were so hungry by then and there was no more room to cancel it. They took both empty cups of waters and bottles with them without asking or giving us room to have a drink while having the delayed meal. Finally got ahold of the server again when we proceeded to order one of the most famous Mexican beers Dos Equis which is advertised on their menu (see pic) and the server acted like we suddenly were speaking another language. I tried to help her by describing it in 3 different ways and then said we probably don’t have that and the bartender confirmed that. We had the meal which it was a solid 5 for bar food. The chicken sandwich does comes with fries and the chicken tibs are actually chicken fajitas in a skillet (putting this out there since I now know more than the servers from their own menu and you won’t get this info if you go there). In the end we asked for the manager to let them know how many things had gone wrong with our visit and even then we couldn’t get even a bit of common sense. The manager choose to go back and forth and said he didn’t see nothing wrong. Coming from years of restaurant experience and retail I know how complicated customers can be so I expect the bare minimum and when it goes this way I have to let everyone going to this place know. Never felt before a staff (All of it including kitchen, servers and manager) deserved a $0 tip until we found this one but they have an 18% gratuity charge which is also not advertised upfront.

The music is EXTREMELY LOUD and the bartenders upstairs literally ignore you, losing out on money for the business. They are super lazy. Like SUPER LAZY. They don't even come to tables unless you're in the back buying hookah.

I went to the Palisades and met this bartender, Eleven. Not only did she disrespect a customer by cussing him out, she refused to serve me and my friends our drinks. I will not be returning here, very unprofessional place.

Every time I come here I have a good time except they've changed the name. It's now called Elysium

Review for rooftop patio: Great vibes but food and drinks are not great. Visited for 3 hours last night (on a Friday 8p-11p). PROS 1 star for great vibes and nice staff. 1 star for the great fries!!! The fries were excellent, well-cooked and flavorful. The patio had maybe like 2 other parties of 2 when we arrived, but by 930p it was poppin, yet not crowded, which I liked. CONS - Overall food and drinks are not great. - Hookah: You have to be okay with being surrounded by hookah. Hookah may not be a con for some people, but I'm not a fan of having to breathe in the smoke and the smell sometimes gets in my hair. I know I sound bougie but I feel how I feel ‍. FOOD (not great) I would only come here for the fries (which were actually delicious) and maybe a well drink. The food we ordered (other than the fries) was just not good. Chicken quesadilla was dry and not flavorful. The garlic Parmesan wings were just too salty. The wings were well cooked, but maybe I just ordered the wrong sauce. I would try the wings next time but with buffalo sauce. And last, as I said before: The fries are yummy! DRINKS The cocktails are pretty to look at, but not tasty. Palisades Punch -- only okay Dusse Dream -- strong but not that tasty Pink Paradise -- pretty with a nice piece of fresh lavender as garnish, but not tasty and not strong Margarita -- the best of all 4 but not great. Came without ice which would have made it better because it ended up being a room-temp drink.

SCAMMER! they swiped my card 3 times and I paid over 100 more than what my items were! they gave me a refind then over a week later they tried to reverse the refund . THIS PLACE IS HORRIBLE. check yall statements after yall go! the vibe was wack the dj sucked and it was empty on my Friday night. Never will go back and I'm report them the BBB

Great restaurant, with roof top! DJ and lights are great! Fresh and delicious food!!!Most importantly kitchen is very clean and organized. I recommend it!

Outside is open!! I'm slowly getting out and about more and recently, met up with a group here for happy hour. We sat on the roof. I believe our server's name was Noelle - she was very attentive and super sweet! I had a few margaritas and old bay wings with fries. I don't believe the food was on happy hour but the drinks definitely were. Like most places these days, gratuity is automatic and that is fine. The service was great! Street parking can be tough! I didn't even bother circling around. I went to the garage around the corner and after 7 p.m. it's free. I'm sure on weekends its free! Ladies, do not wear spikey heels up here! That is all...

Palisades Lounge can be better. The servers don't care about customers services because they automatically add 20% gratuity to your bill no matter if they get you serve you one time and forget you exist. Food can be better for the price. This should be your last option in Silver Spring because there are better places.

Really wish I could give grace but I can't. Not only is the service inattentive and overpriced, but the music is unnecessarily loud, both when you're inside and as someone who lives nearby. This place has been warned by multiple nearby establishments and Montgomery county about how their music is incredibly disruptive and goes until 4am, reverberates through nearby buildings. They continue to play it at the same times and volumes, which is not only disrespectful to the community around them but also, again, unnecessarily obnoxious for the space that their rooftop has. After being warned by community members and experiencing the Palisades music multiple weeks in a row until 4am from the comfort of my bed, I decided to check it out to see if it could redeem itself in vibes, to no avail. The lounge space is decent, and rooftop is a nice touch in theory, but it's not very clean and is terrible value for what you spend, especially given a cover, and again, music is so loud you leave with your ears ringing. My group and I couldn't stand to stay long.

The rooftop is the only part that is open before 11. They didn't have any club soda and later they said they did, but it was tonic. Food was good but they didn't have a server so the only Bartender was bringing anything additional we needed, and she seemed to get a bit annoyed by our requests.

I went to Palisades rooftop for the first time last night for a friend birthday party. It's definitely a cute rooftop and it has lots of potential to be one of the top rooftop spots in Silver Spring. Pro: -happy hour goes to at least 7pm. -bar area is big -covered chairs and reserved section -you can order hookah -wings come with French fries and in different flavors. I had the old bay and they were delicious. - Palisades punch was delicious. I ordered two. Con: - I know it was a Monday night . However, there wasn't enough people working as it took forever for food to come to the table. - It was a hot day so they had several water mist machines going near the bar. Unfortunately, I had just gotten my hair done a few days before so I had to find a seat elsewhere. -The covered section for hookah and lounge chairs were -instead of a bottle of ketchup, we were given ketchup packets for our fries? Tip: Ladies... do not wear your stiletto heels as they will get caught in the wood cracks on the rooftop. I do plan to come back on a weekend or day party to really experience ...

We came here on a Sunday night because we were walking outside and heard the loud music, so it drew our attention. We get up to the rooftop, the guy says it's $20 for guys AND $20 for girls..First of all, i live in LA and they don't charge for girls out there, so them doing it here was very shocking..second of all..WHERE do they charge guys and girls the same price?? On top of that..they don't take card, they take cash or cash app...so we're like ok. We get in and buy a hookah cause apparently the place and the hookah vendor have nothing to do with each other, so the cover couldn't go towards anything..they also said they don't take card. it's $65 cash or $72 apple pay....but get this. The bar takes card tho. Music was so loud our ears were ringing and you can't even hear your own section you're with..it was only about 20 people in there so why was it that loud, no clue. overall, you wanna go somewhere and you gotta pay a cover, go somewhere worth it.

I'm here currently and it's horrible. These fools are saying the only way you can get hookah is if you buy a bottle(which is never worthed). This is my first time ever hearing this from a club. Their views have to be false because this is bullshit. They obviously aren't patronizing me and trying to make money. I wanted hookah, to buy drinks, and paid a cover charge. They've losted a customer forever that would've been loyal.Then I saw people with a table without a bottle. F*** this place. I work hard for my money and play hard. This place only charges a 10 dollar cover charge b/c they weren't being patronized. Horrible customer service.

Please train your new servers. Received a chardonnay in the small carafe that measures the wine with no glass to drink from.. not even a plastic cup. I had to run to the bar to get a plastic cup. Wine was warm, and so was the beer. Also, hookah was trash, and pretty sure they reuse the hookah hoses all night. No itemized receipts presented, and they close out the tab after you order a hookah. Confused because Sefaniy asked to hold a card for a TAB. All for new talent, but train them before putting them on the floor... PLEASEEEE! People come out the house for an experience and wasn't a great one.

This was my first visit here. The rooftop was nice And beautiful. The service was pretty slow. You had to go to the bar to order and there was only one person bartending. It was a little busy for Monday and she needed help. I ordered calamari and it took forever to come and once it arrived it was cold.

Capacity 75.... best thing for covid country. The place is definitely 6ft distance and the security was definitely strict about face mask and social distancing. I will definitely come back here again. It is a nice place to chill and relax and get drinks. I will recommend coming before 7 since they have happy hour prices

This place seems cool until you get your bill and they charge you service fee for I don't know what; in addition to tip. If you're going to charge me already for just being there say that upfront. Food was meh and the service was meh.

If I could give it 0 stars I would. The music is way too loud for a chill night on the rooftop - you can't hear someone 6 inches away! And this was on a Sunday night...just way too much. It's trying to be something it's not. Also terrible drinks and food. Skip this place for sure.

IF I COULD GIVE THIS ZERO STARS!!! I would. Service: garbage. Food: garbagē. The kitchen staff....garbagē. Don't go here. Go to Society. Better rooftop, good food. And that's just that. Manager: he's cool. I guess. He tried to make it work.

A majority of the bartenders didn't even wanna serve you, they'll serve everyone around you though. The drinks weren't even worth the price, and my mom believes that one of the bartenders spiked her drink, half of her body went numb after her first drink, we left so she didn't finish her second one. Then when she tried to leave, security asked her where she was going, as if that's any of his business. It seems they're all in on it especially if you're not there with a man. Then when we left out, we were being followed by someone, he deliberately kept his distance but we intentionally crossed the street and he would cross it, we went into this Ethiopian restaurant and called the cops, he was still standing out there waiting for us, he left when he saw us visibly watching him, this was a terrible experience. This place seems to be part of a sex trafficking ring

Tried to come yesterday with some friends to celebrate finishing up DCFW around 1:30/2AM. We were right behind one group of about 4 ppl and one other girl was behind us, the security person at the door said they were closed. Once we finally left he then allowed the first group of 4 and the girl who standing behind us in -I guess they have a cast type on the type of customers they prefer . There hours say 3AM on Saturdays

Came to this place because society lounge next door was closed. This place has a nice rooftop and the bartender serving us was so friendly and attentive. I had the mango margarita which was good and the mojitos which were great! I didn't get food because their HH food menu wasn't appealing to me but this is a nice spot for a rooftop happy hour with friends. I imagine it's very packed and busy on the weekends!

All the tables were bottle service so if you just want to get a hookah it is almost impossible to after a certain time. The server Casey was extremely helpful and nice. Another woman also tried to help us, Nola, she was extremely rude and short with my group. I really would not recommend this place if you are looking to drink and get hookah.

Place is a very calm, relaxing, and a chilled vibe. The waitress was kind of un-attending, but she seemed new so we gave her a break. Would def recommend for hookah and drinks on the roof top on week day night.

Drinks were average, rooftop was nice, but ambiance is nonexistent. It has potential, but it offers nothing compared to Society which is steps away.

Hubby and I came here to this black-owned bar on a Friday. The rooftop was open and spacious - great for social distancing. We sat in a corner by the TV, and enjoyed a game of uno and checkers. The DJ was great and played a mix of hip-hop and reggae. Margaritas were good (on the sweeter side, though - I'm a salt fan), and our server was quick and friendly. Overall, the experience was great and we'll return.

Terrible service I was charged three different prices for the same drink.They charge you a service charge even if you're sitting at the bar, I've never heard of that.

I'm all for a rooftop so if there is a rooftop and hookah, I'm likely to try it out. I went on a Tuesday and it was not busy at all. This place just opened so I realize they may still be working out some kinks but the service is slow and the waiter was forgetful. I went to the bar to order a drink since the server went MIA and witnessed the bartender preparing drinks and then putting them on top of a trash can behind the bar for the server to collect and serve to customers. Needless to say I paid my bill and left with no plans to return.

I was in Silver Spring for another event and happened to walk by Palisades Lounge after we left. Since there was no cover (awesome) we went in. The rooftop area is nice with several places to sit, a bar and DJ. They also serve food til 1AM. We had the spinach & shrimp dip, drinks and hookah. Everything was good. Our server, Michael, was very friendly. The happy hour deals look pretty good so I'll def be back! The area on the main floor (where the bathrooms are located) is nice as well.

I've been to this spot twice in the last 2 months and both times the service was just ok at best! On both occasions I had to request service after being seated for almost 20mins. On both occasions the servers left our table waiting for really long periods which meant we had to go to the bar each time to get service. On both occasions I had to return HOT beers and was told that all of the beers were that temp. At least on the last visit they were nice enough to give us a bucket of ice to chill the beers. The music and food are decent. I'm not in a hurry to return!

I visited the lounge with 3 family members from London. As soon as we walked to the door the bouncer immediately told my cousin that he would not be getting in. We asked why and he said due to dress code reasons. He was wearing a nice shirt with jeans and sneakers. We asked what is wrong with what he was wearing and he replied " He is too dressed up." he called security and security was very confused when the bouncer asked can he come inside. Security said yes, and was just as puzzled as to why he couldn't come inside in the first place. Very bad taste in my mouth especially after bringing family to your the city. We ordered wine and received them in plastic cups- whilst looking around and noticing two women at a table next to us with wine glasses. We asked why didn't we receive them and they said they ran out. I'm extremely disappointed in the service this evening.

I love this rooftop lounge. Great ambiance. It's definitely a lounge more than restaurant. Great music and the cocktails are good for the price. The menu is a bar menu but the pasta dish is delicious.

Love this bar, great food, drinks, and service. The rooftop opened up recently, which is spacious, and covered!

This place was TERRIBLE. I went with two friends to enjoy the roof on a gorgeous night. Not only were the tables way too close for comfort during COVID times, THE SERVICE SUCKED. I'm talking over 45 minutes for a bottle beer. And it wasn't even busy! The waitress was rude, clearly high, didn't care about serving us at all. Asked her to speak to the manager, never even happened. Waited 26 minutes for the check so we could pay for our two beers (over the course of 1.5 hours, such a joke) and go somewhere else. Do not waste your time here. To top it all off, when we finally did get the check, we saw service charge/tip was included! No wonder they don't care. And that's not mentioned anywhere.

Great spot for a rooftop night. Great DJ but low key and not too intense. The food is great if you're just looking for a bite to eat. Find the bartender named Thomas. He's a great guy and is very helpful.

Loved the music but the service was horrible. The server had an attitude and took 30 minutes at a time to bring back our drinks when the lounge was barely busy! They need to train their servers better! We ended up leaving because our drinks were taking too long. Very disappointed.

This place was absolutely amazing, both inside and the rooftop. The service was great, the people are extremely nice and helpful. The food was delicious and the drinks are made with love. It was my first time here and I'm sold. Will definitely be coming back for more.

This is my second review ever. So I am really pushed to share my experience. I will say the rooftop restaurant is lovely. But that is where it stops. Our server when asked how the meat was prepared said, "marinate I think", one of my friends asked for lemon several times to go with her water and at the end of our meal she received a cup with two lemon pieces and 4 lime pieces? Our first round of drinks came in small plastic cups and our bill said they were $1.00 more each and when we asked the server he said, "taxes". When the second round of drinks came 3 of the 4 drinks were served in smaller plastic cups and we were charged the same-hummm? We asked several times for seconds on water and we eventually went to the bar and helped ourselves. At the end we were then given a pencil to sign our checks and only ONE pencil because they did not have enough. Well needless to say we didn't not tip well. Now that is not the end of it. When I received my credit card statement I was charged more for the bill than I had signed for. Yep I should not have fallen for the pencil trick. If you want a good view and decent food please go but bring your own pen and don't expect much else.

This place is the worst, they have been allowing Society Lounge to take the plunge for loud music most nights. They blast base music till 2 in the morning on Weeknights. I tried to call to speak to them, the phone number doesn't work.

This establishment conducts terrible business. You will experience super slow service with automatic gratuity added to your check. They will change prices on their menu under their personal discretion without making customers aware. They lie to certain customers to have particular customers pay more than others. The female bar manager has a nasty attitude and will try to have other workers treat customers the same way she does. They will intentionally take forever on your order then serve you the wrong things. I experienced on several occasions then intentionally ignoring me because I called them out on their terrible service before. This is unfortunate because I've brought a lot of new good business to their establishment because I live in the area.. but everyone has watched each time how their personal treatment towards me is different than their experience. do not visit this establishment if you're a person who wants to experience good vibes and good entertainment.. they produce the complete opposite. Oh and the food is never really prepared the same way twice, it's a shot in the dark on consistency.

Great vibes, good food and hookah. Took my friends there, mennnnn the vibes was awesome. Will definitely come back
