The location of the International Palm Beach Boat Show when I was last here. Much quite today.

My mom and grandmother have been members of PBYC for decades. I’ve been going since I was a child and had fond memories of the lobster bisque and salmon from childhood. My family still lives here but I moved away. When my kids and I come back, we still like to eat there on occasion. This last time was my absolute last. Never again. PBYC quality and specialness is gone with the 90s and 2000s. I ordered my steak medium rare. $85. They brought it out GRAY and WELL DONE not once but TWICE!!! Is that not insanity? Thennn, we got the pork Marsala with no marsala, mushrooms, or cheese. They brought it out with Marsala, mushrooms, and cheese THREE TIMES!!!! They got the pork wrong 3 separate times. I was shocked. The blonde short haired waitress with pixie cut is awful and had absolutely no motivation to make things better. None. No discount off our meal, no real apology, nothing. $400 meal absolute garbage. You’re better off using that money at one of the manyyy better establishments nearby. Never again.

Absolutely great place. Highly recommend the lobster lunch. Can’t beat the food or drink. Bar tenders are great as well as location. Highly recommend.

Google
I didn’t eat there but your people really helped me get to my real destination on N. Flagler Ave., whose address is 4512 N. Flagler, which is The Palm Beach Sailing Club! I got there just in time to hear the presentation by Captain Reid Stowe! Thank you!

We were invited to a private party at the PBYC and it was beyond what I would expect for a 5 star experience. The staff was happy, attentive and extremely helpful. The room and tables were decorated with "in-house" floral arrangements and place on the tables with a spotlight on each. What an effect! The room was intimate and held about 30 guests. The view was as charming as the room itself. The filet was a correct choice for me, cooked to a medium perfection, the fingerling potatoes could have used a few more minutes, but the sea bass stole the show. WOW! I understand this was a special event which required advanced planning. I'm told that Karen was the skilled staff person who was always available and eager to make the event successful. Thanks go to Karen and her staff. And thanks to XXXXXXX for planning and inviting us. The evening was magical.

Google
Amazing chef! I've been to a dozen wine dinners here and they never disappoint. If you are up for some amazing wine pairings an incredible food, then this is definitely the place to check out when they have them and if you can find a member to invite you to join them ;) as a former multi restaurant owner in long-time foodie, I have to say this is one of the best chefs in South Florida and he is truly a treasure. If you ever get a chance to eat his food I highly recommend it

Google
Gorgeous view from the restaurant. Amazing food l, service and the lobster bisque is to die for. You need a membership to eat here but I highly recommend if you’re looking for a cool social club on the water with a marina.

Google
Beautiful, upscale bar/restaurant. Sport coat required. Great food, huge quantities, good wine, and spirits selections. Loved it!

Yelp
one of the best club in palm beach, amazing ambience and incredible food , great for private events , my brother had his wedding here and could not be any happier

Yelp
Great service, good food, and an amazing view. However, you have to either be a member or invited to eat there by a member.

Yelp
The Palm Beach Yacht Club is a members only private restaurant, but we were able to dine there using a reciprocal agreement our country club has there during the summer. The second floor dining room has a spectacular view of the intracoastal waterway and is very elegant. The entire staff from the valets, host, server, and runners exceeded our expectations. We were seated promptly after arriving for our Saturday 6:00 reservation and the server immediately took our drink order. We never felt rushed during the dinner, but our server stopped by periodically to check if we needed another drink or to make sure everything was OK. The Diver Scallops and Chilean Sea Bass entrees were excellent and be sure to order the Lobster Bisque as an appetizer. It is no surprise that the Yacht Club has such a good reputation. Thanks to the members and staff for creating the opportunity for us to enjoy dining at your club!

Yelp
It was very nice. It's like an old dinner club. The food was amazing. Not happy hour prices by any means. Views were spectacular. Very cozy bar area. I would definitely go back again to visit with my friend

Yelp
Absolutely fabulous in every way. The food is spectacular. Be sure to try the lobster bisque. The service is what you would expect in Palm Beach. The atmosphere is truly that of a yacht club. Valet parking, full bar, great views, amazing menu and wine list. And PRIVATE. Be sure to try the crab cakes and crème brûlée. Delicious.

Yelp
everything is excepcional except for Harris! such a gorgeous place but with Harris' pushy and very nosy demeanor it definitely took away from the allure.

Yelp
Recently dined at the Palm Beach Yacht Club. We have friends that are members of this place. They were sweet to invite us here. Atmosphere- Very stylish Palm Beach. Pristine water and yachts all around. Gorgeous set up with entire building with spectacular views of the water. Food / Service- We were seated promptly for our 6:15PM reservation. The service was excellent with the server providing the daily specials. We ordered a few bottles of sparkling/flat water. I ordered the house chopped salad with a light vinaigrette to start off. For my meal, I ordered loch duart Salmon prepared in crusted horseradish layer with side of mash potatoes. Our dinner was so fulfilling that none of us wanted any dessert. (Watching those 2020 calories intake). Side Note- It's such a nice and big place that they have private events that the members can book for their bigger parties.

Yelp
You don't need a yacht - or even a boat, but membership is required to dine there. Its well worthwhile - the Palm Beach Yacht Club is a bit of a throwback: The dining room is beautifully appointed, the service impeccable, the menu broad and everything is delicious. We've eaten there for lunch and dinner and I thoroughly enjoyed both meals. Our small group dined there Saturday night and the dining room was full. Nevertheless, our service was excellent - our server knew the menu well, her recommendations were spot on and her service thoughtful without her hovering. We ordered a broad range of dishes. As appetizers, the shredded Brussels Sprout Caesar Salad was crisp and tasty/ a modern take on a familiar dish. On the other extreme, the Vichyssoise was a perfect preparation of a familiar classic. The swordfish was fresh and well cooked, although the sauce was a bit heavy. The rack of lamb was a good sized portion. The lamb was tender and perfectly cooked, although just a bit unevenly seasoned. The meat loaf (daily special) was excellent - there was no sense of filler. The gravy was neither too thick nor too much. The mash was smooth and the sautéed spinach excellent. My Southern berry cobbler was flavorful without being too sweet or syrupy. Our drinks were excellent, and the wine list at least adequate. Overall, its a perfect venue for a special night out.

Yelp
We went to the Palm Beach Yacht Club for a Friday night dinner with friends who are members of the club. Located a little north of Palm Beach downtown on the intracoastal on Flagler this place boasts a variety of boats and yachts that are fascinating to look at. The dining area is on the 2nd floor with gorgeous views. We sat at a window table with views of the intracoastal and could see the Breakers across the waterway. The service at the club is immaculate and as soon as we sat our server was at the table. We ordered the creekstone farms steak and the salmon. Both were excellent and we thoroughly enjoyed our entrees which left no place for any desserts. 5 star spot requires membership if you don't know a member.

Yelp
Here is what this place gets right: a relatively basic high end menu executed extremely well. foie gras? best I ever had, and a great portion. escargots? best I ever had, and a great portion. But what threw me for a loop was how insanely delicious the lobster ravioli was. I can't put into words how perfect the ratio of cheese to lobster to sauce was. I would go there just for that. Martini? Perfect, and not in those 1920s glasses that restaurants seem to be using way too often. Service? Perfect. Parking? Perfect. This is the place you go when you want the sure thing and with this, it excels.

Yelp
Service that is hard to match and more impossible to find. Old school with euro flare menu. Pampano disappointed but the pork chop was ooh la la!! Kudos to key lime pie which is made in-house but gets short mention on the carte de cuisine.

Yelp
Fabulous food and impeccable service! One of the finest dining establishments in Palm Beach County.

Yelp
We arrived with out a reservation. We sat at the bar in hopes that a table would become available. After waiting 30 minutes we decided to eat at the bar. The service at the bar is very bad. I asked for menus and never even got them. Dave at the bar was good, after we started complaining. We had to waive down the two bartenders/waiters several times. The host, Kevin, told us he would check on us and inform us if a table became available. Apparently he went home and never told the other staff we were waiting. Nobody seemed to care. We expected more from this club.

Pam C.

Yelp
Summer time is the time they have weekly specials. Thursday night is prime rib night. We had reservations for 4 members on 2 occasions and were very disappointed EACH time as they were out of the prime rib. We even mentioned the second time too make sure and save 4 pieces. Nope. Not sure I'll continue my membership. Highly disappointed.

Yelp
Always a pleasure and a treat to come here. Even though I've been a member for many years, I still love this place!

Yelp
Let's start by saying that I enjoy fine dining. The service here is truly a highlight of the experience. The staff were friendly, professional and attentive. I was here at night, but it was clear the view would be lovely during the day. The food, however, was no where near up to the price tag. You are better off spending your money at Boloud, Buccan, Table 26, etc. The oysters on the half shell were lovely, but not shucked cleanly. Nobody likes bits of shell in your oyster. The lump crab cocktail appetizer was nicely done. Dinner was a whole other story. The lamb and venison racks were sourced from the US. In the case of lamb this is often not the case and had the potential to be a highlight. My lamb rack was certainly over-charred. The other rack at the table was flat out burnt. I made a point of testing both. The venison rack, also burnt on the exterior. A real shame because the meat was nicely cooked internally. Mint jelly was awful. Probably my bad for even trying it, but very antiseptic in flavor nonetheless. Now as a guest of a member I wanted to be supportive, but for the price and reputation of this place its amateurish to be burning the outside of game. To cap off the night, we enjoyed some rude jerk jumping the valet line. His friend said, "hey we are jumping past these people". The line jumper replied, "I know". Giving no apology or explanation. I said we weren't in a hurry so "no worries". I guess when you dock your boat here it entitles you to feel important, but you would hope such "important" people might find common courtesy of value. I'll drop my review a ton for burnt food and rude clientele.

Yelp
I am very suprised at the below reviews. The atmosphere is delightful. The service is impeccable! The the food taste, preparation, and presentation is fantastic! I always have a wonderful time at the PBYC. Thank you!

Yelp
This is a private club whose members don't necessarily own yachts! Many people join just so they can go to the restaurant, which is upstairs and offers a beautiful view of the intercoastal. They make an excellent martini and have weekly "lobster nights," which are delicious.

Lee H.

Yelp
I had not been to the PBYC in many years, but I recently had a poor experience before I ever set foot in the door. One of their valet attendants parked a car in a handicapped parking space across the street. I told him I was calling the police if he didn't move it (he lied and said the owner had a handicap tag, but that wasn't true and he isn't allowed by law to park in Handicapped parking anyway). He then threatened me verbally and started taking video of me and claimed he'd give it to the FBI. That was fascinating. The manager said she was going to make amends, but she conveniently forgot to do anything about it.

Yelp
I was lucky enough to get to go here as the guest of a member of the Palm Beach Yacht Club. There's really something special about a place when you walk in and they greet you by name (my host, not me of course). We were seated at a table with a beautiful view of the Intracoastal, and right away we were served with generous pours of our chosen spirits served in substantial glassware, which is always a plus to me. The bread service came next with 5 very different, very appetizing choices. Upon looking at the menu I noticed that no prices were listed, essentially inviting you to order what you truly want and worry about the consequences later. Although, if you're dining here you're obviously not visiting for the happy hour special. Our first course of cheese stuffed squash blossoms was very flavorful, but not too rich, with a soft, delicate texture. For entrees my companions all ordered the Friday night King Crab leg special which looked decadent. I was the rebel in ordering that night's fish special which was a locally sourced trout sided with buttery, breadcrumb stuffed tomatoes and broccoli. The fish was certainly good though not a standout as it seemed a little dry. The vegetable side however was fantastic and rich, so overall my meal was a win plus they boxed up my leftovers for me- score! We barely saved room for dessert, but in a restaurant this fabulous you've got to order it. We decided on the pistachio ice cream and the many layered chocolate cake, and wow, talk about indulgent. The ice cream was the perfect complement to the meal, light and refreshing, and was really all we needed, but that chocolate cake was truly intoxicating giving us all a buzz to complement the potency of our wine and scotches. Throughout the meal the service was impeccable, and they made us feel like VIP guests. If you're a member or if you're lucky enough to be invited, you should definitely check this place out. There's also some really exciting people watching here so you get a little intrigue with your exceptional experience.

Yelp
I was a guest of a member. Arrived at 6pm. Lovely seat by the window. Behind me were the "happy hour" snacks. Cheese stick and fish sticks, and I'd bet everything I own and all the money I make for my entire life, that they are out of a box. Seriously? Are these rich people so delusional? The offer port wine cheese at the bar, which I love, but the butterfly crackers....I think they buy them on sale at Costco. Can you at least buy Ritz, something that has some flavor? My date, a 25+ year member, said to me, "Oh the food here is outstanding!" Ok great, let's try some. I ordered the pear, beet, & goat cheese salad and lobster mashed potatoes. I worked in restaurants for 14 years. This salad came in about one minute and every morsel of it was consistently cold. Too cold even. That means that this salad was pre-made and sitting in a cooler. That's gross to me, and being that cold takes the taste away from the vegetables. My lobster mashed potatoes were uneventful tasting, and were lukewarm. My date is from here and Orlando, and clearly hasn't been remotely exposed to "outstanding" food. Let's talk about the service...or lack of it. Every time we needed something we had to catch the eye of a bartender leaning back and wave him over. That's not "service", that's "serving", but I'm sure no manager gives a crap because everyone has worked here for years and they make consistent money and don't care. The carpet in this place is at least 30 years old. What are these people paying for to be a member of?

Yelp
I adore this club. As a member, I held a birthday celebration on their vintage yacht. The service is beyond expectations. They went above and beyond making sure everything was perfection. The chef made sure the cake came out on time, despite the craziness of being amazingly busy in the galley. There is not a private club in south Florida that comes close to the level of service, food quality and beauty of this club. It's also wonderful to dock your yacht at for the eve. When visiting this club, remember, it's old world class. Dress for the occasion and voila!

Jonathan L.

Yelp
The term "high class" characterizes those who subscribe to a particular behavior and is simply not the total of one's financial assets. To be specific, high-class behavior involves humility, intellectual curiosity, and kindness. This unfortunately was the opposite of what I encountered at this location. A quintessential example of this was when i witnessed the other members unabashedly make uncouth comments that are based off of nothing but appearances. My party and I were targets of this unkindness due to our younger age. The staff are curt, cold, and impatient with the patrons. The clubhouse itself is small, antiquated, and stuffy. There are some who need to feel special by making others feel small. Sadly, this location is a perfect example of this sophomoric behavior. I would avoid this toxic location.

Yelp
Been here two years in a row as a guest for our office holiday party. The friendly and professional service matches the quality of the fantastic food. Recent meal included snapper with shrimp and curry sauce, and the blending of the textures and flavors worked perfectly. Looking forward to coming back next year.

Parker A.

Yelp
Super good food. The lobster bisque is amazing! The place is very fancy which is good because there aren't many places like it anymore. Come here very year I am in the area!

Jan C.

Yelp
Recently visiting the area from Colorado, we were invited by friends to join them for a late lunch at the PBYC. So happy they did! Being seated at 1:30 and having early dinner reservation, we opted to sample a variety of smaller dishes from their bountiful choices of soups, salads and appetizer . And thus we entered a culinary heaven. Although all were astounding (and there were many) the ones we still rave about are the Lobster Bisque, the Warm Brussel Sprout Caesar, the Oysters Rockefeller (we had to have two orders just because they were so amazing), the incredible crab cakes, and the perfectly smoked Scottish Salmon. Given this delicious array of food and a beautiful intercostal view we were in heaven. To our pleasant surprise, a gentleman named Harris visited our table as we were completing our meal. The General Manager, I believe. With a welcome smile and wonderful conversation he indeed made our PBYC experience perfect. Thank you! So highly recommend this wonderful restaurant!

Dr. Oso Phila M.

Yelp
Amazing service and waitstaff; all were attentive, friendly, and helpful with questions. The dining room is classy but not pretentious, and tables have beautiful views of the water. Unfortunately, the food didn't hold up. There were a couple of hits (large chunks of sweet lump crab meat in the crab cocktail appetizer) but too many misses. The lobster ravioli, as an appetizer, was one giant, fist-sized gyoza filled with lobster-flavored mush, lacking the freshness and al dente chew of a more traditional preparation. Our three entrees were all grilled meats (lamb and venison) and were cooked properly (medium rare had a nice pink in the center), but externally charred beyond belief. I typically don't mind some charcoal... I'm one of the few in my circle of friends that enjoys the coal-fired wings and pizzas at Anthony's... but the predominant taste of these chops was carbon black. Bitter, chalky, and as close to inedible as I've ever found red meat. We were close to complaining, but with 3 dishes to return, it just wasn't worth it.

Yelp
Had dinner there last night. We were a party of 10. It was a spectacular experince. The food, service and the ambiance were wonderful. Everyone had a great time. It was an ordinary night that turned into an unforgettable experience. Thank you Palm Beach Yacht Club.

Yelp
I had the pleasure of having dinner at this yacht club recently. Beautiful views and yachts. Excellent service and food. All around, an "A". Highly recommend!
google avatar

Nelson S.

Yelp
5* starts with the valet who gives you NO ticket and ends when you exit to find your car awaits you. The service, food views etc are classic and perfect. ..The finale of Mud Pie will feed a table of four
google avatar

S R.

Yelp
Gorgeous view on the water! The food was incredible! Great for special dinners (anniversary's, birthday's etc..) They had a lot of large round tables to accommodate larger parties. Everything looked amazing!!! Lamp chops, Tuna, Salmon etc.. I highly recommend this for a nice dinner.

Hibiscus K.

Yelp
A member there for many years. I have had very bad experiences with food and food service. I invited friends for breakfast/brunch and it was like we were given leftovers. Bad experience. Another time I invited a friend who was pregnant and we were given really bad treatment. It was lunch and there were probably five patrons in the dining area and it took two hours to get our food. Of course, she was starving, and the food when we were served, was not even acceptable. The staff seems to be fighting and in disagreement all the time and it shows. And those free gift cards and your birthday and renewing your membership do not work unless you are a heavy drinker.

Scott G.

Yelp
Simply put there is no place in the area for the quality of food, service and hospitality of this mainstay. Pretentious to some but old world style and class to others. This is fine dining and pampering at its best with a large diverse menu not to mention they'll do whatever you ask. Love coming here.

J B.

Yelp
We love Palm Beach Yacht club. Many fun planned activities such as wine dinners, dock parties etc. food and staff are wonderful. We have met many new friends here.

Alexis F.

Yelp
The service is fantastic and the food is superb. I personally asked who was the chef that night and it was a young man named Manny. If he is cooking, you are definitely in for a treat. Ask for him!

L M.

Yelp
Odd place. Food was meh. Lobster roll had too much mayo nothing special about it. I did like the bizarre Captain Stubing shirts the staff were forced to wear. There was one odd waiter, we asked him to take a family photo then it quickly got creepy when he began to ask our niece to pose for solo shots. After some awkward a moments we got out in the nick of time before the stares of all the lifted faces of the gremlin palm beach matrons grew heavy.

Dee Ann F.

Yelp
Went here as a guest of a member. Stellar service, atmosphere and food! The waiters are on top of everything without being "on top" of you.....the food was absolutely amazing! Loved the whole experience!

Cliff J.

Yelp
Great service by Kevin and Scott! Food was prepared perfectly, Steak Diane could be cut with a fork. Very friendly and beautiful surroundings, looking forward to our next visit.

Heather C.

Yelp
Really good, but a little pricey. Love the service. The view is incredible. I always feel special when we go for dinner.
