“You won’t regret it. The brunch menu is complete, and the flavors are out of this world. I ordered a Palma Burger with a mimosa, and let me tell you, the experience was incredible. Congratulations to the chef and the whole team for making the place welcoming, relaxed, and free of any bad vibes. If I return to Los Angeles, I’d come back to this spot for sure!” Att: Carolina

If you want a real 5 star dining experience with spectacular interiors, I'd recommend Casa Del Mar right on the beach, over this. We came for the famous Kelly Werstler interiors and they did not disappoint but don't come expecting a conventional dining experience. Most people where seated to dine on low lounges or like us, in awkwardly uncomfortable small cane chairs. Looked beautiful, but not practical. The service was very average, certainly not to the 5 star attentiveness you would expect, for example I had to roam around and find someone to ask for some pepper. The food was good, they kindly swapped out the pasta to make it gluten free so points for that, but it wasn't anything spectacular I couldn't make at home. Again, you really come here for the interiors because that's about all that lived up to the 5 star experience. Long story short, order a drink here, get your photos and go.

First time stay here at the Proper. Atmosphere was great. Loved the convenience of having breakfast at the Palma. Shoutout to our server, German. He was so sweet and his service was excellent. I left my sunglasses and he saved it for me. He actually tried to run out to find me… food quality was great too. I would consider coming back!

They charge higher than the menu. The bill which was charged was higher than menu. I have pictures of the menu and the bill as proof. Please see pictures. This is very dishonest as a restaurant. Customer service was terrible as well. We waited for half an hour, no one came to ask us even for drinks. When we asked for water, waited for another 15+ mins. We ended up just had a very rush lunch when food arrived since we had to go to next event. Will NEVER come back. Do NOT recommend.

Went for their incredible Afternoon Tea in January 2025. Everyone, and I mean EVERYONE, who helped us was outstanding. So attentive, welcoming, and warm. In addition to the excellent service, the tea offerings themselves were to die for. I was with a large group for a birthday and all of my guests were blown away. The best part? You are seated in the fabulous and famous Kelly Wearstler designed lobby. Go, you won't regret it.

Gorgeous interiors and comfy seating. Hospitality/service is way below par though -- on both occasions, the hostess seemed confused and left us awkwardly standing around waiting to be shown a table. You watch your server stop by several other tables, wondering when he will wander back over at some point ... Top-level service makes you feel welcome and taken care of. That's not the case here at all - they just seem like inexperienced kids.

Don't go out of your way to visit this restaurant. My husband and I were guests at the hotel and went two times to Palma for breakfast and cocktails- both times we were extremely dissatisfied by our level of service. The problem started with the hostess seating us next to a rowdy pair of gentlemen even with ample other tables available- seems like they seat guests towards the front to make the restaurant appear busier. Eventually we asked our server if we could move tables- apparently this was the largest ask, and took the backburner on her priorities. We must have waited 10 minutes for the approval to move- my husband and I constantly trying to make eye contact with one of the multiple servers standing around having conversations, seeming to ignore the fact we were unhappy and uncomfortable. At our new table, we were served the wrong cocktails, no communication was had, 30 minutes later we had our mediocre drinks. Both occasions, we felt the carelessness of the workers. We went back for breakfast to give it a second chance- big mistake. Slow slow slow service, no water upon arriving- we were asked if we had been helped multiple times before seeing our server- probably waited half an hour for running eggs and a smoothie. I think our biggest disappointment was the fact that there were so many workers, but none willing to help the customers. Go to Ardor in WeHo instead- price matches the service

Located in the proper hotel; the service and atmosphere will keep you coming back here. The menu is a bit limited but the things they have are pretty good. If you're into cocktails they have a good selection.
