Google
This was my first time visiting—i think they recently opened—and it's easily one of my favorite spots in the neighborhood now. The owner was the one who cooked for us, and also the only one in the kitchen when we went. He said this was his first time opening a restaurant and he's doing a fantastic job!!!!!!! The food was SO good seriously I cannot underestimate this enough.

Visited for the first time last night and will return often! Everything prepared with great skill and a kind smile. The highlight from last night was the Torta Milanese (chicken). Really sensational!

Google
Food was amazing, portions were large, and the owner was the sweetest. You could tell the food was made with love. I’ve been to so many taco places around the city, and this place has to be one of my favorites. Will be coming back soon.

Google
Cheap food for the great quality of it! It is very well served! Food is extremely good and the prices are insanely low! Great quality and everything is hand made by the owner when you order. Fresh food. Recomended 100% no doubt about it.

Google
No frills space with delicious affordable food! Very nice man working alone, owner maybe? Will definitely return.

Yelp
What a gem! Fresh food. Very friendly owner/chef. We ordered the "Join the Club" (had chicken instead of Turkey) and "Italian Steak Sandwich" with the sides of hash brown and fries. It was very filling, great amount for the price and quality food. I would highly recommend this to all my friends and family!

Yelp
I love this little place and every time I go in the service is so great. The food has always been good and made very quickly. I recommend brining cash.

Yelp
I've been trying to go here for weeks and finally found it open around 11am on a Sunday. I got the watermelon water for $4, it was really good! I also ordered #25 I think, bistecca, it was $12-$13 and was an enormous portion! It came with one large to go container filled with stewed peppers and steak a generous side of beans and generous side of rice and then another large to go container with a large salad with tons of fresh peppers and Italian dressing. And like 9 corn tortillas! The steak was very thin, Like too thin to be juicy but everything was really delicious! There was just one man working and he rang me up and I only had to wait less than 10 minutes for my order to be ready.

Yelp
Some good, some just ok. I really enjoyed my al pastor tacos but my friend found his tostada pretty dry. Do like that this is a guy who's finally branching out with his own restaurant for the first time. Rooting for him.

Yelp
Store front type of restaurant. Like I used to eat at all the time when I was young 50 years ago. One of the few places around here that serves 2 eggs over easy with hash browns. I had the Italian beef sandwich. The beef was Italian but the sandwich was all Mexican. The prices are right for this local and the folks are friendly. I asked for a glass of water. They don't have that but the feoolw offered a bottle of water to me , free. He may not always do that but I am an old man with a walker and his heart seems to be in the right place. Allmin all it is a good place to eat but not for a fancy date, home style instead.

Yelp
I wanted to love this place! The service was good. The portion sizes were great, but the food was bland. I had rubbery enchiladas with flavorless rice and unseasoned beans. My husband had a burrito that he described as terrible. Typically he finishes his food, but not this time. Sadly, we won't return.

Yelp
Very cute spot. They renovated and it looks much better. Tortas are sooo good and filling. Tacos are also very yammy.

Yelp
Palma Torcida is a gem on Bryn Mawr. I've tried so many dishes on the large menu - both breakfast and dinner - and the food is scrumptious, always been pleased. Portions are generous and service is excellent. The owner and operator is a gem. The complimentary side salad with some of the meals uses fresh vegetables and homemade dressing and is a meal in itself. I have a weakness for the waffle fries. Eat in or carry out. This is the rare new business on Bryn Mawr when so many others folded recently. Support this wonderful hidden pleasure!

Yelp
Yesterday my daughter wanted to try the Bistec a La Mexicana. Again Ausencio did not disappoint! Portion was large and the flavor of the steak was great! Cooked to perfection. Definitely recommend. Support small local businesses!! :)

Yelp
I walk by this place almost everyday and I finally stopped in. I got the corn truffle quesadilla and it was AMAZING! It was super unique and delicious! The chef/owner is very nice and very efficient. Everything is fresh and he cooks it all right in front of you. I'll definitely be going back!

Yelp
New shop, I walked by a few times and the menu looked really good. The owner is super nice and friendly. Got birria tacos and agua fresca both were very good and pretty cheap for Chicago. I will be going back to try more things on the menu. There are a couple little tables inside as well if you need a place to sit.

Yelp
Best quesabirria gorditas and tortas. The owner/chef is very welcoming and the place looks so nice after the renovations...highly is recommend

Yelp
I've been to Palma Torcida 3 times, and each time that I was there, the owner cooked my food perfectly. I always order the same thing, steak and chicken tacos. They are delicious, and customers are given a generous portion of protein.

Yelp
Hole in the wall restaurant for sure. Just moved to Edgewater so I wanted to try everything around. Doesn't look like much, but don't knock it till you try it. The food is PHENOMENAL. I've about tried everything here. Cannot complain. The man working is so nice and knows what he's doing. 13/10

Yelp
OH MY GOSH this place is amazing. Absolutely delicious food that makes your mouth sing. The man who works there is so nice, but even if he weren't I'd still give him all my money because again the FOOD! I'm so happy he moved into this location
